I'm going to start off with the KING (not literally hehe) Morris K. If you are a fan of Thai BL, then you'll probably recognize him from Triage... and if you haven't seen Triage then I highly recommend you do!!! But... he has quite the acting career under his belt. He's been very open about his struggles being half-black, and how his being the first black celebrity in Thailand was a difficult journey. He's a huge advocate for more opportunities for Thai-black people in show business. He literally paved the way and I have great respect for him.

Tsunari. She is half-Thai and half-Trinidadian. If you're a fan of rap or hip hop, then I highly recommend her music. She often mixes in some english with her thai lyrics... and she's done a few covers of western artists. Give her a listen on youtube!!!

badmixy. She is an openly trans and proud Thai singer. She writes her own music and her lyrics have occasionally brought me to tears. Again, give her a listen over on youtube.

Rusameekae Fagerlund. He is an openly queer Senegalese-Thai actor, model, and mc. He's done several interviews to raise awareness about homophobia and racism in Thailand. He was named Scene Stealer of the Year in 2016 for his role in เพื่อนรัก เพื่อนร้าย (Best Friends, Bad Friends). He was a host on "Dress My Love" which is available on youtube (I don't think it's subbed though) which was a fun program where they would talk about fashion and have couples on as guests where one would style the other according to a certain theme.

Nam Patcharaporn and Maeya Nonthawan. Both are beauty pageant winners who faced criticism and unnecessary backlash for their darker skin.

Suzie Natthawadee. She is a social media influencer and vlogger that gained popularity when she spoke up about the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States and how Thailand should reflect on their own ideas about race and skin color. You can follow her on ig and tiktok @ suziewadee.

Esther Oruche. I might have spoken about her before hehe. She's fairly new to the scene, but I'm very much looking forward to her future projects... have I mentioned The Last Case enough??? I don't think so.... Please support her and her series!!!

Land Of Yesterday ((Anastasia)): walking down the street belting "RUSSIA!!!" isn't exactly normal but I did it all the time last year to practice my harmonies

La Dee Dah Dah Day ((The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals)): this one is specifically about the Homeless Guy solo, because it's not a good look to excitedly exclaim "the dogs are my food!!" especially if you're Asian 😭

Inevitable ((The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals)): I was singing this one today and my brother was in the other room and he heard me say "let me puke in your mouth, Em!" and immediately burst in and shouted "WHAT?"

Reasons to Live - Writer Edition

There are many reasons to stay alive, but here are some pertaining to writing.

That euphoric Eureka moment where all the struggles you've had lately to piece it all together finally clicks and everything falls into place. It feels like heaven when it all suddenly makes sense and you can finally move forward again.

That feeling after a long dry spell, writers' block, when you finally get to start writing again.

The daydreams you get to take piece in for your favorite OCs.

Finally getting to that place in your writing that you've been so excited for, perhaps the scene you'd had stuck in your head that made you start working on your current WIP in the first place.

Getting that comment that comments on the very things you were writing for in the first place (someone understanding a deep Thing in your writing no one else seemed to catch on to, someone relating to something that you'd hoped someone would relate to, someone being inspired by your work which is all you'd ever dreamed of for your writing, etc).

Having someone tell you that your writing inspired them to start writing too.

Getting art of your OCs just because someone adored them That Much.

Having someone reach out to you about your OCs for no reason other than just wanting to get to know them more.

Someone telling you that your writing saved their life.

That feeling of complete understanding where everything clicks into place and the writing flows effortlessly.

When you finally FINALLY get the courage to post The Thing and it gets positive reactions.

Realizing your writing is amazing, no matter what kind of comments it gets, because you love your writing, which is what matters in the end.

Getting to describe something in your writing that you absolutely are fanatic over.

Getting to infobomb at someone because they show genuine interest in something in your writing you've been dying to talk about.

Having people show genuine interest in your writing.

When you've been through a depressive episode that makes it impossible to enjoy writing anymore but it finally ends and you're knocking out words like no one's business and loving it again.

Peculiar things Arknights used to have in the past

No 6-stars. Everyone was a star downgraded compared to now; 5-star was the max (they still had 3 skills).

No distinction between Vanguards and Guards. A remnant of this is in Dobermann's S2, which has a green icon (nowadays reserved for skills that generate DP and certain healing skills). And at a tangent, I don't think that Watcher of Realms has the distinction either. Given how large the Guard class is, even at launch, I'm glad they made the distinction.

A completely different UI. The main things it featured was a lock (I'll come back on this later), a seeming limit as to how many stuff you could stock in your inventory, and a Penguin Logistics logo on the shop button. Interestingly, the player name on the old UI images reads 'Theresa'.

That said, we used to have operator duplicates! And no, there wasn't a limit to how many of the same operator you could bring in battle either. You could have two of the exact same operator on the field.

Silence had 3 drones. That's why the amount of drones is specified in the skill text, it's a remnant of this.

Skyfire's S2 was a togglable infinite skill. It was similar to Mountain's and SilverAsh' in function. Once you triggered it, it was always on (i.e all of her attacks turned into meteors) until it charged back up and you could deactivate it again.

No body bags. Those are actually an addition made after the beta. It was the file that you zipped out of the package.

Much bulkier enemies. Even though certain ops were more powerful (i.e Skyfire as mentioned above), the enemies were also more bulky and had more stats than they do now. This caused the game to be badly reviewed in the beta.

A different sprite style. Several operators remained unchanged but a lot of them looked differently. It seems like it took a bit before they settled on a definitive style for sprites. (Which is logical because all splash art is made by different artists, so you'd want consistency in the sprites at least).

Not shown but heavily inferred: potential upgrade failure. Yes, it's highly hinted that you could fail potential upgrades. I've seen times when the 'success rate' was still displayed, it took them a while to patch it out (with Lingering Echoes)...which was obviously always stuck at 100% because we don't have such things as potential upgrade failures.

Abyssal Hunter Blue Poison. She used to be part of the group in the character sheet; this was patched out before game launch.
