New avatar, figured i've been using the official Digimon Logo long enough and I should make my own logo.

Feat Maskutchi from Tamagotchi, Betamon from Digimon, and the Pixel Puppy from GigaPets.

Thought process was "I'll start with Maskutchi because he's one of my faves... I didn't choose Mametchi, so I won't draw Agumon, i'll draw his overshadowed child stage counterpart... For Gigapetes, my fave is the Frog but Betamon looks like a frog. I like the T-Rex but people would mistake it for Agumon. Well, Dogs are pretty universal pets. More than 3 would be too cluttered for an avatar so that is all."

This should also better communicate that i'm not just a Digimon blog.

Now I just need to design a new banner.. maybe wallpaper but I really like my current wallpaper.

I have been in a digipet slump for awhile but I am excited to get a new GigaPets 😄

Who doesn't love cryptids?? 😱 I just started it yesterday so Bigfoot is still little lol. I like the gameplay more than the fairy one 🧚‍♂️ which was way too complicated to be fun. Starcat/Compukitty is fun too! I gotta get the froggy and the unicorn ones now 🐸🦄💜

so, giga pets frog gets a 10\10 out of me. the dinosaur was... ok? 7/10 the unicorn was 4/10 fairy was 9/10.. i feel like i need to make log on my wordpress.

According to the Giga Pets Discord, we now know what the collab they've teased is going to be. I was expecting some kind of crossover or a licensed pet, but no, the collab is with a company that makes really really small versions of toys.

So basically, we're getting Tamagotchi Nano, Gigapets edition. So far the confirmed releases are the Digital Doggie, and the Compu Kitty. Compu-Kitty is released on it's own, rather than being bundled with Star Cat. I have heard the bundle version of compu-kitty is hard to keep alive, as it's based on the original 90's programming, so this could be a nice way to have compu-kitty that isn't easy to kill.

They have confirmed there are differences between these and the larger versions, but didn't specify the differences, besides Compu-Kitty being stand alone. I have a feeling they'll both have less refined animation and sound, but that's just a guess. In fact I almost wonder if rather than making the compu-kitty easier to raise, these might just both be using the 90's programming.

I'm a little mixed on this announcement, it's not very exciting and feels a little pointless, especially if they use 90's programming. We'll have to wait and see if that's what's actually going on, but they're not new pets regardless, they're remakes of existing pets. I'm going to wait to hear what the differences are before buying. But as of now, I don't know if I plan to buy any.

This is also my first Gigapet. I've mainly played a lot of different Tamagotchi over the years. I'm so far really enjoying the game play. It was a bit of a change, but so far, it's been fun and cute! I also love the little noises the device makes, and the shell is giving autumnal vibes with cryptid and cottage core. 🖤🍂
