Ein undurchsichtiges Angebot

Kaum zu glauben - und auch die Verbraucherzentrale Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) glaubt dies nicht und der Bundesverband der Verbraucherzentralen (vzbv) hat die Firma Giga Fiber wegen undurchsichtiger AGBs abgemahnt. Giga Fiber wirbt mit dem Angebot für einen Glasfaseranschluss mit 250 MBit/s im Downstream für null Euro. Allerdings muss ein Interessent bei Abschluss des Null Euro Vertrags zustimmen, dass "wiederkehrende Zahlungen wie Miete, Nebenkosten, Strom" – aber auch Darlehenszahlungen – "über den von Giga Fiber zur Verfügung gestellten Payment-Service" abgewickelt werden, schreibt Heise.de.

Ein Payment-Service ist leider ganz was anderes als eine Lastschriftermächtigung, die allerdings bei Null Euro auch überflüssig sein sollte. Der Bundesverband der Verbraucherzentralen (vzbv) hat die Firma wegen Irreführung abgemahnt und mehrere Punkte genannt:

Giga Fiber gibt weder auf der eigenen Webseite noch in der App den konkreten Zahlungsdienstleister und dessen Anschrift an.

Banken werden von der Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstaufsicht (BaFin) überwacht, für Giga Fiber gelte dies nicht.

Die Vertragsbedingung, nach der Nutzer zur Erstattung von Kosten für den Hausanschluss verpflichtet werden, wenn sie während der Mindestvertragslaufzeit gegen nicht genau erläuterte Pflichten verstoßen, wurde abgemahnt.

Heise.de befürchtet, dass Giga Fiber generell eher ein Vermittler und kein tatsächlicher Telekommunikationsanbieter oder Finanzdienstleister zu sein scheint. Dann würde der Zugang zum Netz über Provider wie Telekom, Vodafone oder 1&1 bereitgestellt werden, "die man dann nehmen müsste", ohne diese Wahl ablehnen zu können.

Jio fibre to home monthly plans leak before pre-bookings start: Details here

Mukesh Ambani-owned telecommunication service provider Reliance Jio on July 5 announced the Jio Fiber to Home broadband service for homes, merchants, small and medium enterprises and large enterprises, at the Reliance Industries 41st Annual General Meeting. Though, the salient feature of the broadband connection -- 1Gbps download speed – was shared at the event, crucial information such as Jio Gigafiber plans detail and preliminary cost was kept undisclosed, to be unveiled later before final launch.

The pre-registration for the GigaFiber broadband service is set to begin from August 15 on Jio.com and MyJio app. While there is no official confirmation on connection cost and plans detail, an online technology portal Trak has curated all leaks around GigaFiber plans on the web.

Here are details of leaked Jio GigaFiber plans:

Rs 500 plan

In this plan, the GigaFibre would offer 300GB of data for one month at download speed of 50Mbps.

The data limit would be a part of company’s fair usage policy (FUP).

Rs 750 plan

In this plan, the GigaFiber would offer 450GB of data for one month at a download speed of 50Mbps.
