new fetish alert: asking AK-15 to cuddle with her as the big spoon, never getting insomnia again
(GFL) A quiet moment with AK-15
I know this was a joke (probably), but I had the cutest thing pop into my head after reading this ask.
Truthfully, 15 was a little uncomfortable with S/O's request for her to hold them.
Being a T-Doll, if she wasn't careful she could harm S/O, to say nothing of her own strength, unique to her.
The same arms that could crash through concrete and enemy tanks, was now holding one of the very few humans that meant something to her.
Her face remained unflinching, but with how awkward the embrace was, S/O could tell something was bothering 15.
Or rather, unsurprisingly, she wasn't used to this.
(S/O) "You okay, Fifteen?"
Their voice barely went above a whisper, with 15's deep voice matching their tone. At least to make the environment to sleep in more comfortable, since she didn't really need it like a regular human did.
(AK-15) "If I may ask...why do you want me to hold you? It is quite dangerous for a human to remain this close to me."
She felt their chuckle throughout her body, seeing that S/O was only an inch or so away. Regardless, before answering her question, S/O nuzzled even closer.
(S/O) "As strange as it sounds...I feel safe whenever I'm with you, Fifteen. Your arms really strong so, it kinda feels like nothing can get to me but you."
15 remained silent at that, trying her best to conceptualize their reply in her head to the best of her understanding.
Slightly frustrating her that she couldn't, 15 instead sighs but obliges S/O anyway.
(AK-15) "If you insist, then I will not object."
Her eyes glanced down and saw them smiling, eyes full of love and staring straight at her.
(S/O) "Plus, your reactions are cute.~"
Though the attention didn't make her outwardly show any reaction, internally she didn't know how to respond.
Yet another thing that frustrated her. She sighed, more out of habit than anything despite the fact she physically didn't need to, asking another question.
(AK-15) "You say that you find my reactions cute yet...You know I have trouble conveying them properly like you do."
15 felt S/O snake their arms away from her waist and toward her face, gently brushing a strand of her hair out of her face.
(S/O) "With facial features? Sure, that doesn't really change. But I think what you're doing right now counts."
With that came a playful tap on her nose, causing 15 to blink as a reaction, the gesture confusing her even more.
(S/O) "You could say it's part of your charm, so to speak. I know you always have your actions speak for you, even if you struggle showing it with words or whatever."
S/O's eyes traced down to her lips before leaning in for a quick but passionate kiss, 15 shifting closer to close the distance.
When S/O leaned back, their head sunk into the pillow while still facing her.
(S/O) "In the end, I fell for you because of you who are. Everything, good, bad, I don't care. They're still you. If you want to change, I want you to because you want to. Not just because of me, or anyone else."
(AK-15) "...I see."
Her eyes averted meeting their loving gaze, instead pulling them into the hug they asked for in the beginning, this time stronger than before.
(AK-15) "Thank you for your patience, S/O..."
As her hands finally found a comfortable resting spot on their back while pushing their head under her chin, she spoke up again.
(AK-15) "RPK-16 once told me that I should try to smile, if at least to make some of the soldiers at ease."
S/O's eyes were closed, the edges of their consciousness starting to drift off as sleep beckoned them closer.
Despite that, S/O responded, summoning all their strength to listen to 15.
(S/O) "What did you respond with?"
(AK-15) "I rejected her idea as the other members of DEFY could do that for me, RPK included."
Her fists instinctively clenched, still being mindful of her lover and not wanting to accidentally crush their spine, instead wrinkling their shirt.
(AK-15) "But ever since I met you...I've been thinking about that exchange again. I cannot convey well wishes the way others do...And yet you still accept me for that."
She remained silent, unsure of how to properly say what she wanted to.
With a yawn, S/O chuckled and reassured her.
(S/O) "Heh, humans are weird like that, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'd argue that you're more like us than you realize too, Fifteen."
Their voice finally dropped low enough to the point 15 could recognize they were about to fall sleep.
(S/O) "...I'll help you smile from the heart, 15..."
(AK-15) "...I will hold you to that, S/O."
Hearing nothing in response but soft breathing, 15 decided to go into low-power mode herself, all the while holding S/O close to her.
===
BONUS:
After stepping into the Commander's office, 15 gave a quick salute before speaking her piece.
(AK-15) "Commander. If I may trouble you, could I show you a smile I've been practicing?"
The Commander's eyes widened slightly, lowering his paperwork as they leaned into their chair.
(Commander) "Practicing? Heh, must be about S/O. Alright, go ahead and show me what you've learned."
15's smile caused his body to stiffen and vitals to quicken.
Though he wasn't flustered by a pretty woman giving him a smile.
He was absolutely terrified by the woman looking like she was about to sadistically tear him limb from limb.
(Commander) "It uh...C-Could use a little more practice. Has...anyone been telling you how to smile?"
15 immediately reverted back to her stoic self, making the situation that much more jarring.
(AK-15) "No, sir. It's something I've been practicing by myself and what recommendations on the internet has provided."
The Commander made a grunt in affirmation before reaching for his receiver, clicking a single button.
[G36's Voice] "Yes, Master? May I help you?"
(Commander) "Please call Springfield up to my office. AK-15 and I require her expertise."
(AK-15) "...The smile is not proficient for S/O, is it?"
Knowing the T-Doll in front of him appreciated honesty more than anything else, he was still hesitant as matters of the heart should be handled a bit more gently.
Not that he'd know from personal experience. Even though he was still single, everyone still came to him for relationship advice.

Girls' Frontline: Through The Looking Glass [GITS SAC 2045 Collab]
Dismissively jerking off the air
I never watched SAC 2045, but I think most of my disdain for this event is just GFL writing being what it is now: the event opens with the frame 1 "your base is fucked and your Dolls taken" shit that they've been leaning on as The Grand Stakes for fucking several events now. Most of the dialogue is tiresome and the villains entirely uninteresting.
Again, can't speak for SAC 2045 but based off the original GITS and the original GITS SAC (I'm fond of both; GITS SAC was the first series I bought on DVD for myself as a teenager), I feel like GFL would be a natural fit to meld with it and do something interesting, like the VA-11 and DJMAX and Gunslinger Girl events. Instead it's just the worst bits of recent GFL writing, again.
I guess I should add that a month ago or so was the Mobile Armour update, which added the long-proclaimed vehicle system; the first two off the line are the Main Battle Tank (piloted by a crew of Dolls and HOC units) and a mech suit (piloted by a single Doll; HK416 in her Eva-style plugsuit outfit for me, naturally), and they both suck and the system is pretty miserable.
You can't level them up with items like all other units, they have to fight to get theirs...but they can only deploy from Heavy Heliports (in limited supply even in late story and event maps), and they don't use AP like other Dolls, they use Energy to move, their own separate resource refilled at heliports/supply points. But they only have enough energy to move like 3-4 tiles before crapping out, so they have to be moving from port to port or stay within 2 moves of a heliport at all times. And without those level-up stat boosts and equip slot unlocks, they have basically no stats worth a shit and can't fight or damage most things. In combat, with Auto Skill Use on they just fire everything on cooldown, and with it off you have to activate all the armaments as they come up, but it's mostly weak auto-attacks and the occasional manual-aim weapon that's extremely fiddly and unclear about its trajectory, and frequently misses anyway.
The idea seems to be to bring them into the Gray Zone Exploration mode, the endless proc-gen map mode, as the new highest difficulty doles out equips for the Mobile Units, but again they're so fucking weak they struggle to do one fight before needing repairs, if that.
Also bizarrely they made a Tachikoma reskin of the MBT for this event's story but you can't unlock your own to use.

One of the largest explanation why household drains become clogged is due to the garbage disposal. Many people treat the rubbish disposal as an end-all-be-all for waste.
The Municipality of Alexander strongly encourages the use of these facilities. Locations, schedules and what's accepted for curbside assortment. On the evening earlier than your collection day and earlier toronto garbage disposal than 7 a.m. There isn't any limit to the variety of green bins you can set out. If organics haven't been collected they should be faraway from the curb by 9 p.m.
We thank all of the generations of individuals who have taken care of this land for 1000's of years. Long earlier than at present, there have been Indigenous peoples who've been the stewards of this place. In specific, we acknowledge the traditional territories of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee , and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation.
It’s always higher to be secure than to by accident trigger a clog in your drain and incur unwanted repair bills. Coffee grounds and tea leaves usually are not good for garbage disposals due to their consistency. The grounds and leaves create a sediment build up that may get caught in the u-shaped part of your drain. Over time, the grounds will construct up and trigger your drain to turn out to be plugged. Proper disposal of items like propane tanks, batteries, pesticides, oil, fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and so forth. means taking these things to the annual Orange Drop Event.

I love starting a game after a bunch of updates and doing things in the wrong order. In GFL I've been doing side campaigns, struggling against heavy enemies like tanks, while my units are just ordinary girls with guns. But I managed to get through several missions while severely outgunned.
And then I decided to go back to doing the main story and pretty much immediately unlocked what I was supposed to use against those things
Turns out you're not meant to use small arms against tanks. Who would've thought

hey Eva, first of all your blog is cool and interesting and nice. So i got me a new phone 2 weeks ago, insralled GF, flashforward to this evening - i dont have any resources, i run out of cores, all my eshelons are 50ish level and i cant beat 4-6. I guess i mught have stupid :( Gimme any advices please or i dunno. Sorry for bothering you, dont know who else to ask/
So! First of all, sorry for my late reply!
Now, on the topic of resources. Try to have logistics running as often as possible. I assume you've only got the starting 4 echelons, so try to have at least one squad constantly out for missions, though two is better. Before you head to bed or any time you're not gonna be playing for a while, send all four echelons on missions. Try to prioritize ammo and rations the most, cause that's what you'll use the most.
For other resources, try to complete as many daily, weekly, and career missions as you can. Additionally, look at the achievements in the Index tab. You can get plenty of things like gems and tokens for free. With tokens you can roll gacha for dorm furniture, which increases dorm comfort, and in turn gives you more batteries daily. Use the batteries to upgrade facilities.
With facilities, some of the most important ones to max as soon as possible are the Data Room and the Forward Basecamp. The better your Data Room, the more exp you earn, which you can then turn into combat reports and fast-track your dolls to high levels. The FOB is great because you basically get free stuff. A small(ish) amount of resources gets currencies that can be used on the black market shop. Sometimes you also get things like cores, tokens, and even 4 or 5 star gear!
But the black market is good because you can get resources like combat reports, cores, and batteries in huge supply quickly. To make the best of the expeditions, use the advantaged dolls as often as possible. They give far better bonuses than just high level dolls. (Though high level helps a bit.) Also, pets determine where your expedition is most likely to explore and therefore what resource they are most likely to collect. Dogs like the snow, cats like the city, birds like the forest, and "others" bring you to the wasteland.
On that note, upgrading the pet rescue centre is helpful to the FOB. More pets means you're more likely to have the advantaged pets of the week. Also, pets in a dorm give a bonus 1000 comfort points up to three pets per dorm, meaning more batteries. Which means you can buy more pets and upgrades. Lots of growth in GFL is exponential.
Now, back to some of the other resources I was talking about. Gems. The gacha currency that lets you buy the other gacha currency. Some of the most important investments for your early game gems are echelons and dorms. More echelons means you can have more teams on logistics runs. More dorms means more batteries. Extra repair slots are also nice, so that can be a secondary goal for your gems. The monthly gem card is a good deal if you're willing to spend some money. 5 bucks (Canadian) gets you 30 gems a day for 30 days, 900 total. Sometimes there's also a rate up on the cards, getting 60 daily for a week.
Next, let's talk about things that burn resources. One of the things I did at the start was not at all understand crafting. More resources aren't immediately better. There's plenty of guides on maximizing your resource value per roll, providing you know what you want to roll for. For your four daily crafts of dolls (this gets you a free token, same for equipment!) either go bare minimum, or 130, 130, 130, 30. This can get you a decent chance at 3, 4, and 5 star dolls for low prices, and if you get duplicates of dolls you've trained, you can retire them for 1, 3, and 5 cores respectively. (However, many 5 star pistols are among the few dolls that are truly worth raising duplicates of.)
At the same time however, higher rarity dolls are expensive to raise, especially early on. If you don't have a duplicate of a doll when dummy linking, you will use cores. 2 stars will need: 1, 1, 2, and 3. 3 stars will need: 3, 3, 6, and 9. 4 stars will need: 9, 9, 18, and 27. 5 stars will need: 15, 15, 30, and 45 cores for maxed dummy links. See how this can burn cores? Especially when you're more likely to have duplicates of less rare dolls?
Try to focus on some of the better 2 and 3 star dolls! You'll find that plenty of dolls are better (or worse) than their stars suggest.
Of 2 stars, M1911, M1895, PPK, M3, MP 40, FN-49, BM-49 (VM-49), G3, Galil, SIG-510, LWMMG, MP-446, and cutecat IDW have all done me well.
From the 3 star pool: M9, G17, Ingram, Skorpion, STEN, M14, (quite possibly one of the best girls in the game, even pre-MOD3 she can beat many 5 star rifles and ARs!) SV-98, FNC, M2 HB, and GSh-18 are choices I've found quite helpful.
Raising many of these dolls is also good because later you can unlock their "MOD" upgrades, 1 through 3. This gives them extra abilities, better stats, unique equipment, new art, and some side stories! Though this is more endgame content.
Another thing. Even though I listed a few MGs in there, for now, try to avoid MGs, and also shotguns. They use lots of ammo and rations respectively. They're more for endgame or weird stuff.
As for getting through lots of the early story. Use the AR Team members. Do not sleep on them. Eventually they will become purposely overpowered for story reasons because of MOD3. They are some of your best dolls for just melting enemies, and M4 is special in that her buff tiles effect ARs instead of SMGs.
For most earlier content, teams made of ARs and SMGs are best. Steady damage and SMGs have good evasion to stay in the fight longer. You can maybe mix a pistol or rifle in there for buffs, or if you need to kill other snipers. Rifle dolls, unlike other units, target the enemies furthest away (within range) first, and work forward. This makes them good for preventing your tanks from getting shredded by snipers with accuracy that out classes your evasion.
Also, having "dummy" echelons can help with clearing maps cheaply. If you are cleaning enemies off a map, you can probably get away with having an echelon for combat, and others that only need to capture nodes. So since they are not going into combat, you can use a single pistol doll for very minimal resource loss if they have to retreat.
As for 4-6 you can likely beat it by having a strong echelon rush to Intruder as soon as possible, with another echelon defending your command post. An ARSMG team should work quite well against her, with the SMGs dodging her attacks and the ARs chipping at her health. As a general tip, flash grenade skills do not affect bosses, but other grenades do, and this can make smoke grenades a good choice as they lower enemy ROF and movement speed. The ROF debuff can keep pressure off your dolls for a little bit. If you need to, have a third echelon behind the one you spawn in the north if they get too beat up getting to Intruder. Then have the fresh squad attack her instead.
Uh. I think that's all. A lot of rambling from me. Probably didn't make it as clear as it should be. But hey, I'm trying, and honestly I'm still sorta noob-ish myself. Check out people like @scarletlotus182 @commander-frostii @give-fnc-chocolate @rpk-16 and @shikikanshenanigans too, 'cause they're better than me at this lol.
P.S. If I have any glaring errors, please tell me, guys.

GAME THEORY: GFL'S PARADEUS AND SAINTS ROWS S.T.A.G. ARE LITERALLY THE SAME ORGINIZATION.
Let's examine the facts
Special Tactics Anti-Gang Unit AKA S.T.A.G.
Primarily white color scheme, accent color used to denote rank and role.
Hyper advanced technology compared to the military, using standard issue advanced full body armor, laser guns, nigh indestructible laser tanks, laser VTOLs, combat hover bikes, etc.
Shows up as a wildly disproportionate response to a street gang blowing up a bridge.
Run by sociopathic, scorched earth warmongers with a total disregard for civilian casualties and collateral damage.
Takes special interest in key members of the Third Street Saints.
Invented a Zombie virus that even they couldn't clean up themselves, marring their reputation.
Paradeus AKA The White Knights
Primarily white color scheme, using size and mechanicalness to denote rank and role.
Hyper advanced technology compared to the military, using laser guns, android infantry, small gundams, energy shields that are impervious to small arms fire, laser tanks, etc.
Shows up as a wildly disproportionate response to a PMC primarily staffed by former Android baristas using weapons that are at minimum 50 years out of date.
Run by unfeeling, emotionless formerly human torture machines with a complete disregard for human life.
Takes special interest in key members of Griffin & Kryuger.
Showed up immediately after the deployment of an uncontrollable zombie virus that once caused the end of the world.
CONCLUSION:
Girls' Frontline is the product of the dark timeline where The Boss decided to go after Killbane instead of saving Shaundi and Viola at the end of SR3. The Saints were framed for another terrorist attack on a monument and S.T.A.G. kept existing. Over time S.T.A.G. transformed from an American anti gang task force to an international paramilitary cult as the United States and other former great powers deteriorated and collapsed. The leader of the Third Street Saints, the Boss, now in hiding got involved in investing in fledgling robotics concerns IOP and Sangvis Ferri and eventually the PMC Griffin & Kryuger. Setting the scene for the angsty Tactical Doll Action of GFL 50 years later.

(GFL) Simping for the Human Officers
(Angelia) "I think this is more than just 'dozens'..."
(Commander) "I already had to deal with the T-Dolls on base, last thing I need are anonymous love letters stoking the flames."
(Kalina) "Hey, cheer up, Helian! This means that people do love you after all-"
(Helianthus) "T-THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY QUESTION!"
(Angelia) "Just how many secret admirers do we have?"
(Helianthus) "...S-So it's not too late for me...-"
(Commander) "I feel like us even acknowledging this, they're not going to be so secret anymore...Wait, doesn't Griffin have a PR Department with T-Dolls meant to be tanking this specific kind of thing for us?"
(Kalina) "Hey, I'm not complaining! These ring purchases are helping fund us, and gives us a fighting chance for our love life!"
(Angelia) "I'd usually prefer to know who's confessing their love for me...Actually, maybe I shouldn't give them an invitation, I'll just get spammed nonstop."
(Helianthus) "For security purposes do we...know who sent these in?"
(Kalina) "Uh...that would defeat the point of the senders being, anonymous, ma'am."
(Commander) "...Hold on a-! Are we just allowing unauthorized users to send in whatever the hell they want to us?! How do they even know who we are on top of that?!"
(Angelia) "Well, they sent in similar things for our T-Dolls. Pretty sure AK-15 and M16A1 got some people with strange tastes."
(Kalina) "Oooh! I remember sending those ones! Think they were asking for AK-15 to hit them with a chair, and the other person was barking for M16!"
(Helianthus) "...Why do you allow these through?"
(Commander) "Do we not have a filter button on these or something?"
(Kalina) "Unfortunately, no. We'll just have to get used to this."
(Angelia) "I don't think we want to."
(Kalina) "Well, that's too bad! Once this goes live, I'm sure more for the other gals will come in!"
(Commander) "Goes live-ARE YOU RECORDING OUR REAC-?!"
The feed suddenly cut off...

Hidden in this seemingly tiny update is something very unusual for GFL: a rate-up for specific dolls that aren’t brand new.
G11 and SR3MP are both great dolls so if you don’t have either of them, next week is a good time to try to get them!
JS 9 is also a phenomenal SMG, definitely one of the best in the game, owing to her fantastic off-center tiles:
Her skill’s just fine and her base stats as a tank are great, too. So don’t miss out on this point event either. Also shit I need more oath certs

Top 5 most underated T-Dolls!
GASP
kssshksh Eagle 1, this is big bird, hot takes are weapons free, over
A lot of these opinions boil down to “everybody is so obsessed with ending battles as fast as possible they forget that sometimes you HAVE to go long and up-front burst isn’t always the best gameplan”, just in various flavors of underrated tdoll archetype
also i’m super cheating because this is about a lot more than 5 tdolls, it was hard to narrow it down to 5 because of how weapons in GFL kinda exist in archetypes, so it’s more like “top 5 most underrated skill archetypes in gfl”
alright counting from the bottom!
5. M1911 and M9
OK, maybe I’m just sentimental about my preferred CoD WW2 sidearm. Maybe so. But.
Most of the time, when we pick handguns, we look for dolls whose skills match their tile buffs - Calico and Grizzly being great examples. Handguns have extremely strong buffs as a result, with their tiles already being much more powerful than any other weapon type to begin with and their skills stacking multiplicatively. For some weapon types or team compositions, this makes sense, particularly for RFs that rely on that multiplicative scaling to tear through powerful enemies.
But you don’t always need that much scaling. Overkill doesn’t help you, and a lot of weapons risk hitting the RoF cap if you layer too many buffs on at once. This is a part of why we tend not to put HGs on ARSMG teams during the day - ARs kind of already hit their peak potential without help. But sometimes we need HGs for night battles, right?
M1911 and M9 are unique among HGs for having very powerful skills normally reserved for SMGs - M1911 has a smoke grenade, and M9 has a stun grenade. Both of these are really strong survivability tools, and ARSMG teams sometimes become accustomed to having them, but it gets trickier at night when most players want to replace one of their SMGs with an HG for visibility reasons.
The primary difficulty with these guns is that their formation buffs are designed for back-line placement, not front-line, so... it actually kind of makes sense to use 2SMG 1HG 2AR, which might sound bad at first (2 AR
tl;dr M1911 and M9 are unique among HGs for their much stronger utility skills, which can be really helpful on night ARSMG teams, but also very strong on RFHG if you’re willing to give up one of your other HG spots.
4. 100 Shiki (ARSMG Shield Setups)
While I admit I haven’t finished raising mine, I’m confident enough in the theory to put her on this list.
What’s the problem with 100Shiki? I dunno, honestly, perception? Image? I guess you look at her skill and go “wait, 8s initial cooldown? Her shield maxes at only 42 hp? That’s it?” but no, the skill description doesn’t stop there. 100Shiki’s shield is, basically, a free hit. She gets to dodge one more attack than her Evasion stat would normally allow - maybe even more than one, against enemies with lower FP.
If someone shoots her shield, she gets a 65% Evasion steroid, further boosting her survivability. That might not sound like a lot, but remember that evasion has diminishing returns; with an adequately enhanced exo (even an X-type, for reasons I’ll mention in a second) she reaches the 90s before her skill activates and around 150 afterward, before accounting for fairy or formation buffs. That gives her a dodge rate of 90% against most enemy units and gives her a decent chance to dodge Jaegers and other massive-accuracy enemies.
By pairing 100Shiki with other dolls with similar abilities to shield their allies - MDR’s skill giving her a massive 80% bonus evasion and a 40 HP shield at 4 seconds, and 64Shiki providing either additional offensive ability or additional shields at 8 seconds - 100Shiki becomes much, much tankier than most other SMGs, and in longer fights against huge streams of infantry, boss enemies or even armor, her ability to repeatedly shrug off stray lucky shots makes her a very consistent main tank.
tl;dr 100Shiki can rely on her base evasion or good kiting for the first 8 seconds of a battle and is rewarded by becoming WAY tankier than she has any right to be afterward, especially when you layer similar skills on top of her from her allies.
3. STG44 (High-Explosive Grenade ARs)
Generally speaking, when we talk about good grenade ARs, it’s assumed we’re talking about Anti-Personnel grenades - SOP and 416 being the most well-known of these, but that also includes G3, ARX-160, AR70, and XM8. These grenades have a long initial cooldown but deal a huge amount of damage in a moderate area, something like 10-12x the doll’s base damage.
HE grenades are obviously much weaker, but hit a much wider area. These grenades tend to be completely ignored in terms of viability. I think this is a mistake.
In a side-by-side comparison of a level 100 XM8 and a level 100 FAMAS, most of the time, their skills aren’t even a factor - in which case XM8 might win out because of her more balanced statline, but obviously that doesn’t make FAMAS an inferior doll by itself. Their skills only really begin to matter when you reach a point where you’re fighting a large crowd of high-level enemies, the sort of encounters that actually take 8 seconds or more to clear in the first place.
That’s important enough to be worth repeating: the difference between grenade ARs doesn’t matter at all until they actually get their grenades off - which only actually happens in battles where those ARs are actually being pushed to their limits. Endgame content. Right?
So let’s consider an event like Singularity ranking, mobs of high-level infantry are very common. XM8 will deal something like 575 damage at base with her grenade in an area of 1.5 meters, which is excellent, and will definitely kill any basic mobs Sangvis are throwing at her. STG doesn’t even deal half that much damage at the center of her grenade, so she has very little kill potential at base. But what if we include formation and equipment bonuses?
See, the only way grenades can be made “better” is by giving them more damage, but in the case of AP grenades, they already do enough to flatten most rank and file enemies, so there’s not really much you can do to improve them. They’re plug-and-play, but that limits their potential. HE grenades, however, can deal way more damage if you push them hard enough.
Not sure I could recommend this exact formation, but a formation like this - using HG-boosting skills such as Ribey’s or Grizzly’s, stacking multiple FP boosts, and possibly even an FP-oriented Fairy - can push a grenade like STG’s much, much further. With a powerful enough Fairy attached to this team, STG can deal almost as much damage as XM8 in an area almost twice as big.
Of course, you could simplify things even further by just using two HE grenades - this formation but with FAMAS at the bottom will wipe a field pretty much instantly at the 8second mark against anything that isn’t heavy armor.
tl;dr HE grenades aren’t as easy to use as AP grenades but have a much higher potential if you build around them. Also, STG44 MOD3 is terrifying. Just throwing that out there.
2. Bren MOD3
Did nobody read Bren’s mod3 details during the public vote??? No??? Who’s- who’s m14??
First of fucking all, Bren gains a massive 8 points of max FP throughout her Mod3 - 7 of which are in the first 10 levels, so it’s not like they’re hard to get. That by itself gives her one of the highest FP ratings of any MG available in NA right now, only surpassed by M2HB and narrowly edging her ahead of staple MGs like M1918, PK, PKP, LWMMG, etc. That’s so much by itself.
The price of Bren’s massive strap energy raw firepower is her magazine size, which is among the lowest among all MGs, but her skill does kinda make up for that, and I know I’m not going to convince anybody here that doesn’t already believe me, but an MG needing to reload to clear an encounter doesn’t automatically kill their viability. MGSG teams can still function in long battles if they’re built at least semi-defensively.
Meanwhile, Bren Mod3′s passive skill further increases her ammo capacity on every reload, and her special equip further increases her FP. What more could you possibly want? How about accuracy.
Bren’s base accuracy is so high that, during the day, you can easily run a critical sight instead of an EOT, which is a significant jump in damage potential. PKP and Negev also share this trait, and I find it’s very unfortunate how little it’s talked about, because it really does make a huge different in their damage output. But Bren’s mod skill grants her even more accuracy on reload, and her unique equip is a FP-boosting MARs scope, giving her even more accuracy. After one reload, Bren’s accuracy with a maxed special equip is, at minimum, 73.
Seventy. Bren is as accurate as an RF.
Accuracy is often thought of as a wasted stat a lot of the time, but it’s incredibly important for MGs for two reasons - the first being their consistency during the day, and the second being their versatility at night. Bren is so fucking accurate that, even at night, she can match RF teams’ accuracy while absolutely shaming them in actual damage output, and that makes her incredibly powerful for lategame night maps where you can’t be sure whether you’re wandering into enemy armor or a bunch of infantry. Night battles are often the ones where MGs are most likely to need to reload anyway, and that’s where a reload-stacking MG like Bren shines.
tl;dr NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT RAW DAMAGE OUTPUT YOU IDIOTS HAVE YOU EVER EVEN TRIED RUNNING MGSG AGAINST INFANTRY AT NIGHT DO YOU REALIZE HOW IMPRESSIVE 70+ ACCURACY IS
1. Mosin-Nagant
It’s so easy to misunderstand how powerful Mosin-Nagant is, so I totally get it. I talked about this some way back when I was still doing TDoll analyses on the sideblog, but I don’t think I had actually ever seen her full potential before, and since then I’ve played multiple events with Mosin taking the role of full-on boss annihilator and oh. my. god.
You look at Mosin-Nagant on paper. You see a very middling FP stat of 131. Good, but not stellar. You see a very weak RoF stat of 30; that’s a strong negative. Her Steady Shot skill is unremarkable. Nothing about it could make her a definitively better choice than Springfield - who has the same skill, scarcely any less FP, and can fire much faster. You see a doll who is outclassed not only by other archetypes, but by her peers within her own archetype.
And yet I’m going to insist that Mosin-Nagant might be the best boss-killing RF in the game. Better than M99 or NTW-20, better than IWS2000 or M200, better even than TAC-50. Not because she outdamages them; because she outdances them.
Mosin-Nagant and Springfield both have access to a powerful special equip; where Springfield’s makes her more of a well-rounded DPS weapon with an optional damage nuke (and holy shit she’s good, you guys, she’s VERY good), Mosin-Nagant’s instead doubles down on her niche. In addition to a very impressive critical damage steroid and a mostly pointless evasion boost, the Hayha memory chip grants Mosin a terrifying +30 FP at max, pushing her into a very different category of RF. Rifles don’t normally have the means to boost their FP through equipment, so this is a very special distinction for the russian marksman rifle, effectively elevating her from “small bamboo” to “large bamboo” except with a shorter initial cooldown because fuck you.
But I think the most important part of the Hayha chip isn’t what it gives Mosin - it’s what it doesn’t take away. The Hayha chip allows Mosin-Nagant to wield her fullest potential in both critical strikes and raw firepower without losing any of her mobility. RFs’ base 7 mobility is enough to dodge Gager’s attacks as long as you’re quick on the draw, and that makes Mosin uniquely qualified against a lot of the game’s toughest bosses.
In terms of damage potential, Mosin’s base attacks are a little lacking, but that’s fine; in battles where you need to be moving around and dodging AOE attacks, you don’t want limited duration DPS abilities where you can wind up wasting your damage against random attacks or unexpected forcefields. You do have to learn to activate Mosin’s skill manually (note to self: turn her back to forced manual) but, with a little bit of practice and some good teambuilding, you’ll find that she’s an incredibly effective bossing doll that can be relied on when specialized gimmick compositions like TAC-50′s just can’t quite cut it.

Oh, a few things of note.
Final Order is the bad end for both Red Zone and Vengeance. A New Hope is the good route from Vengeance and the only route from Mark. You might be in a situation where clearing a mission doesn’t unlock anything new, that’s because it was already unlocked.
Double Jupiter worked pretty well on the final boss.
Vengeance and Mark are both easier with GamePress’s clear method than with GFL Corner’s. GFL Corner requires four echelons capable of killing Hydras (the instakill spider tanks with 199 armor) but GamePress’s only needs two.
