Skincare (2024)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Skincare has two scenes of extreme strobe lights, both taking place in a man's home; the first instance of this occurs when a woman stalks the man at night. The second shot of the film, as well as one of the final scenes that is teased in the second shot, are completely illuminated by strobing police lights.
There are some infrequent uses of shaking camera work.
Flashing Lights: 8/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: A woman is sexually harassed in multiple ways throughout the film, including receiving graphically lewd pictures.
ADMIN BRANDON'S REVIEW: One-dimensional characters and a script with no nuance manage to rob this thriller of its thrills. While Lewis Pullman gives one of the best performances of his young career, it's not enough to make anyone in the movie relatable enough to root for. D.

So I'm watching this series that's in spanish, and in my opinion there's chemistry between the two protagonists, so I did what I always do and I went to AO3 to see if there are any fics of them.
And there are fics indeed. IN RUSSIAN. Not in Spanish, not in English, only in freaking Russian 😭😭 like wtf.

I just finished watching Belascoarán yesterday and it was fucking great I loved it!!! Enough to bust out my tablet and sketch a quick little Héctor Belascoarán Shayne, even! I recommend you watch it if you like stupid detectives and 70s period pieces. Belascoarán is a mexican PI in the 70s solving murders and rebelling against American consumerism and capitalism and he is so sexy for it :)
Also if you like BCS or love Reigen from mp100 you should watch Belascoarán! On netflix :]
