"stuck in this fairytale" || choi san || series || thirteenth part
| genre: prince! san. fluff. angst. adventure | mentions: cursing. | here's the first part
back to masterlist | chapter 14
As the fire engulfed you, the present dissolved away. When the light faded, you found yourself standing amidst ancient stone walls, adorned with torches flickering against tapestries depicting dragons and flames. You blinked, questionably on your newfound surroundings. One moment you were with Jongho, using himself to shield you from the flames of the dragon.
And now, you were somewhere else entirely. Although the walls and tapestries seemed eerily familiar, the air was different—thick with the scent of smoke and incense. Faint murmurs of voices reached your ears, mingling with the distant clang of metal and the low hum of tension. Ahead, through a great hall dimly lit by torches, you saw a gathering of courtiers and warriors, all wearing expressions of tense anticipation. Your brows furrowed as curiosity took hold, and you stepped cautiously out of the shadows.
“Silence!”
The booming voice made you jump, scrambling back against the stone wall. Heart pounding, you peeked around the corner. There were people, some clad in torn and mud-streaked garments, others in dented armor. All bore the marks of war—burnt cloth, dirtied faces, desperation in their eyes. This was no Choi palace you recognized. It was something far older, far less grand—a crumbling seat of power held together by fear.
“King Choi! Please, these awful creatures are killing our people!” one man shouted, his plea joined by murmurs of agreement from the gathered crowd.
And there, standing tall and imperious at the center of it all, was the man who answered them. His armor gleamed gold, his long wine-red cape sweeping the floor, and atop his head sat a crown. This man was unmistakably San’s great-grandfather. His features bore a striking resemblance to San's, though hardened with arrogance and a cruel glint in his eyes.
It hit you then—you were witnessing the past, the origin of the curse that haunted the Choi bloodline and the princes who bore its weight.
“Bring it forth!” the great-grandfather commanded, his voice sharp and unyielding.
The crowd parted as soldiers entered, dragging something behind them. Your breath caught when you saw it—a massive dragon, its scales shimmering faintly despite the soot and grime marring its body. Chains wrapped around its limbs and wings, holding it bound, yet it still thrashed and roared, defiant even in its captivity.
Your heart clenched as you saw the pain in the creature’s eyes. It was wounded, its movements sluggish, but its spirit unbroken. It tried to snap at its captors, the fire in its belly threatening to ignite despite its weakened state.
“This,” King Choi proclaimed with a wicked grin, “is the first flying dragon! A gift from the heavens and Goddess themselves, now brought low by my hand. With it, I shall secure my dominion over these lands. None will dare challenge the might of the Choi Kingdom!”
The crowd cheered, but you recoiled in horror. The dragon wasn’t a gift—it was a creature of Brigid’s creation, a being meant to protect, not destroy.
And then he arrived.
A man burst into the hall, his presence commanding silence even before he spoke. He was unarmed but bore the aura of a warrior. His long hair was tied back, his fiery gaze fixed on King Choi. It was Brigid’s lover—the true king of this land.
The king’s presence was commanding, his gaze piercing. He was a force, radiating a calm yet indomitable strength. Yet there was a tenderness to him, a gentleness that seemed to connect him to something beyond the mortal realm. He was no ordinary king; he was a guardian, chosen to rule with Brigid by his side.
In that instant, you understood why King Choi hated him. Power could only be wielded through fear or respect, and the true king had earned the people’s respect effortlessly. King Choi had no such love from his people—only control through fear. San’s great-grandfather looked upon the true king with burning envy, and you could almost feel the dark intent simmering within him.
“You have gone too far, Choi!” he roared, stepping forward. “This creature was born to guard and nurture the balance, not to be a tool for your tyranny. Release it!”
King Choi scoffed. “You dare challenge my rule, dragon tamer? You who hide behind the shadow of gods?”
“I challenge you not as a dragon tamer but as the rightful ruler of this land,” Brigid’s lover declared. “Your greed and false leadership end today!”
The two men clashed with a ferocity that left the hall trembling. You watched, frozen, as the battle raged. The dragon, sensing an ally in Brigid’s lover, thrashed harder against its chains, its roars echoing through the hall.
Then suddenly the scene shifted, you panic as you thought you were being brought back but, you saw a shadowed figure slip through the halls toward a chamber. You were confused once again, your feet glued to the ground but you knew you had to follow what it was since the scene changed and you had to be a blind witness to know the truth. As you rushed towards the chamber, the door was left ajar.
You feel your face losing its color as you come to realize what will happen. It was an ambush. A dagger gleamed in the dim light as the figure struck swiftly, silencing the king before he could even draw breath. You watched in horror as the true king— Jeoyoung, his blood pooling like liquid fire on his sheets. He whispered a name—a name that seemed to ripple across the walls, carried by an unseen wind.
Moments later, Brigid herself appeared, drawn by the call of her beloved. Her fiery hair was like a storm, her expression a mix of anguish and fury as she saw the lifeless body of the man she cherished. Her cries of grief turned to roars that shook the foundations of the palace, her fury resonating through every stone.
San’s great-grandfather emerged from the shadows, his face twisted into a smug grin. “Your power was wasted on him, Goddess,” he sneered. “This kingdom belongs to the strong, not to those blinded by love.”
But Brigid was undeterred. Her fiery gaze met his with terrifying resolve. “You, scavenger, have no idea of the powers you’ve unleashed,” she hissed, her voice dripping with wrath. “You seek a kingdom, but you have gained only a curse.”
Raising her arms, Brigid summoned the winds, igniting them with a fire that burned with the brilliance of a thousand suns. Flames crackled and burst around her, yet the King Choi barely flinched, too intoxicated by his perceived victory. But Brigid’s rage was just beginning.
“You have stolen, deceived, and murdered. For this, you and your bloodline shall pay,” she intoned, her voice echoing like thunder. “From this day forth, every descendant of yours will be hunted by the dragons you so lustfully sought. They shall know neither peace nor prosperity, for they shall be pursued by the very fire that consumed your greed.”
The sky darkened, and through the palace windows, you saw shapes gathering—pseudodragons evolving, growing larger and more fearsome under Brigid’s power, as they circled over the palace in ominous spirals. King Choi watched, his expression shifting from smugness to terror as he realized he could no longer control what he had stolen.
“Goodbye, King Choi.” The place changed into somewhere open but few trees surrounded them. As Brigid cradled Jeoyoung’s trembling body in her arms, the chamber was steeped in an overwhelming silence. Only the faint crackle of distant flames and her quiet, agonized sobs filled the air. Jeoyoung’s once vibrant sapphire eyes were dimming, his chest rising and falling with the shallow breaths of a man at death's door.
Her hands, glowing faintly with fiery embers, trembled as they hovered over his wounds. She had tried everything—every ounce of her divine power—but no matter how fiercely she willed it, the spark of life in him was slipping away. Her curse, uttered in a rage so potent it shook the very foundation of the Choi Kingdom, still lingered in the air like an unrelenting storm cloud.
"My sapphire love, please..." Jeoyoung’s voice was barely above a whisper, each word soaked in agony yet steady with conviction. Blood trickled from the corner of his lips, staining his once-pristine robes. "Do not punish the generations to come for the sins of one king."
Brigid’s tears streamed freely, sizzling against her fiery cheeks. Her hands cupped his face, her voice breaking as she murmured, “Shh, my love, please don’t speak. Save your strength.”
Jeoyoung’s trembling hand reached for hers, his fingers icy compared to her eternal warmth. He guided her gaze to his. Even as death tightened its grip, his sapphire eyes still held the tenderness of a man deeply in love. "Look at me..." His breath hitched, his voice fragile yet determined.
Brigid sobbed harder, leaning into his touch as though willing her warmth to stave off the inevitable.
"Remove the curse," he pleaded, his thumb brushing faintly across her cheek.
Her entire being shattered at those words. She shook her head, her fiery locks falling over her face. "I can't..." she whispered, her voice broken, her heart fracturing under the weight of her own actions. "What has been done, is done."
Jeoyoung's lips quirked into a faint, bloodied smile. “Of course you can...” His words were strained, but his affection shone through even in his final moments. "Tomorrow will come... and kindness will still live in your heart. The wind will always find its way to the right direction."
The air around them seemed to still, as if the world itself held its breath in mourning. Jeoyoung’s final gaze never wavered, even as his body grew colder. His voice faltered, a mere whisper in the storm of her grief. "The fire within you... will always ignite the passion of love."
And with those words, his hand fell limp. His sapphire eyes dulled, staring into eternity. Brigid’s anguished scream pierced the heavens as her divine essence flared with the intensity of a thousand suns.
The searing light of the past dissolved into the chaotic present. The weight of what you had just witnessed crushed your chest, leaving you breathless. Your vision adjusted as the sounds of the present—roaring flames and distant shouts—came rushing back.
"Jongho!" you gasped, stumbling forward. He lay on the ground, his arm burnt and the remnants of his clothes reduced to charred fabric. His breaths were shallow, and his face contorted in pain.
Panic surged through you as you dropped to his side. The memory of Jeoyoung’s parting words echoed in your mind, a chilling reminder of the curse’s origin. You pressed your trembling hands against Jongho’s uninjured shoulder, the urgency of the moment pulling you from the sorrow of the past.
"Stay with me, Jongho," you whispered, your voice cracking. Tears blurred your vision, but your determination burned brighter. Jongho looks at you, “You saw it?” Your eyebrows furrowed, “W-what?” “The dream … King Jeoyoung. The lover of Brigid." Your eyes widen, with a shaking breath, you spoke, “You—”
Jongho chuckles as he looks at you then to the raging dragon in front of both of you, “Seems like we aren’t stuck in this fairytale.” The moment you first found yourself inside this story, it felt surreal—a tapestry woven with threads of wonder and confusion. At first, it was as though you were an outsider peering into a living narrative. The curse that plagued the Choi lineage was merely a tale, and the role you were thrust into felt distant, as if it belonged to someone else.
But as the story unfolded, piece by piece, the weight of your role became undeniable. You weren’t just a visitor or a bystander. You were the key. The burden of lifting the curse, unraveling its origins, and shouldering the pain of generations began to press heavily upon you. It wasn’t just about San or the dragons or even Brigid—it was about you.
The realization struck like lightning the moment you uncovered the truth. Your lineage wasn’t just an ordinary bloodline. The fire coursing through your veins wasn’t a coincidence. Your ancestor was none other than the Goddess of Fire herself, Brigid. The fury that birthed the curse, the anguish that burned through time—it was your legacy.
And now, bestowed with the power of the true king, Jeoyoung, you understood what needed to be done. His final words echoed in your heart, resonating with a meaning far deeper than you could have anticipated.
"Tomorrow will come and kindness will still live in your heart. The wind will always find its way to the right direction. The fire within you will always ignite the passion of love."
The key was not some ancient relic or arcane spell. It was the very essence of what had been stripped away from Brigid when her heart broke: Kindness, Hope, the Rightful Path, and, finally, Love. These elements, torn from her soul, needed to be restored. They weren’t just concepts—they were the fragments of Brigid’s heart, left scattered across the ages.
Now, you were no longer just a participant in this tale. You were *one with the story.* The curse wasn’t merely a mystery to solve—it was a part of your destiny, tied intrinsically to your very being. The path forward was clear, but its weight threatened to crush you.
As you stood amidst the chaos of the present, the oppressive heat of the dragon’s breath against your skin, the enormity of it all threatened to overwhelm you. Looking up, your eyes met the piercing glare of the dragon. Its gaze was fierce, primal, and filled with an ancient rage that sent shivers down your spine.
You froze, the intensity of its eyes locking you in place. It was a glare you recognized, one that clawed deep into your soul. It brought you back to that moment with San in the library, the way his eyes had burned with something you couldn’t quite place—something raw, untamed, and undeniably powerful.
But this was different. This dragon wasn’t just a creature; it was a manifestation of Brigid’s wrath, her heartbreak given form. Its very existence was a reminder of the curse that had plagued the Choi line for generations.
Your heart raced as memories flooded back—Jeoyoung’s bloodied smile, Brigid’s anguished sobs, and the haunting words of the curse. You had witnessed it all. You weren’t just here to observe; you were here to change the ending.
Clenching your fists, you forced yourself to stand firm under the dragon’s gaze. The weight of the curse bore down on you, but within you burned the fire of your ancestor. You were Brigid’s blood, a spark of her divine flame, and now you carried the power of the true king.
“The elements…” you whispered to yourself, the realization settling over you like a rising dawn. Kindness, Hope, the Rightful Path, and Love. These weren’t just words—they were the very essence of what Brigid had lost and what you needed to restore.
Summoning every ounce of courage, you took a step forward, meeting the dragon’s fiery glare head-on. “I understand now,” you said, your voice trembling but resolute. “This isn’t just about breaking a curse. It’s about healing what’s been broken. It’s about restoring balance to the fire, the wind, the very essence of this kingdom.”
The dragon’s roar echoed in response, shaking the ground beneath your feet. But this time, you didn’t flinch. You were no longer just a character in this story. You were its heart, its fire, and its hope.

An overwhelming year: Joshua Moss on 2024
2024 was an overwhelming year in almost every sense, but the subject here at Dusted is music, and music was a phenomenon that was overwhelming in a good way. I fell in love with brand new albums I will listen to for the rest of my life, discovered decades old albums that were like missing pieces of myself, and I didn’t get to albums I might fall in love with ten years from now. My band released eight of our own albums to varying degrees of notice. I did a brief tour, something I had not done for over a decade, and we played more shows than we ever have in a year.
I mention my own musical activities because when you are engaged in DIY music, it's all about connecting with people, and most of them are other musicians with beautiful music to share. Every time we play a show, we are treated to performances by two or three other bands, who almost never disappoint. I had sublime nights around Portland this year. I swooned to jangly pop downers Rosy Boa. I zoned out to mesmerizing finger picking and jazz improvisation from guitar magicians like Will DeLee and Mike Gamble. I lost my mind to the free explorations of the Joel Nelson Group and Water Shrews. We played with French artists Tamagawa and Oldine and connected across the Atlantic with their atmospheric sounds. When I was on tour, I got to meet an online friend and collaborator, John Swanke, and watch him weave his tapestries of New Age guitar. I met drone-folk revivalists Friends of the Road, who put out one of my favorite albums of the year, and I got my face melted by the thrash-metal Grouper vibes of Power Strip. All of this was life affirming - in times that feel haunted by deadly forces that are bereft of creativity or joy, all of this felt like, aside from my family, my main reason for being alive.
There is an additional vitality that can be added to this practice, because music can be used to materially address the complex issues we face. Many artists, including myself, leverage their fanbase to raise money for good causes, but in the wake of Hurricane Helene, a massive, heavy hitter filled benefit compilation called Cardinals at the Window raised over $300,000 to support those impacted. more recently, the Gold Bolus Recordings label has put out an excellent compilation to benefit Palestinians, called Mandatory Liberation Volume One, featuring artists such as Powers/Rolin Duo and Ashcan Orchestra.
2024 was a great year to be a fan of music too—as fragmented as the digital universe, is, has the effect of multiplying the amount and variety of music released, permutations of genres spiraling like fractals of style. I think every deep music head's dilemma is knowing that we'll miss more records than we ever catch, but it's a wonderful problem to have. Below I have included a list of my 30 favorite albums of the year — I tried to go under-the-radar as much as was honest — but this is stuff I listened to a lot.

do have metal recommendations? I'm new to it. really completely new
*typing up a storm* You just activated the autism in me! 😄
Alright, here's a brief overview. Followers, feel free to recommend songs in the comments, if you listen to metal.
What bands you should know, at least their names:
Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Kiss, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, Anthrax, Helloween.
No need to know and like their songs, just know that they exist. There are some more, but you'll encounter them eventually anyway, I'm sure. Note that certain old bands are controversial now, for example Pantera and Metallica.
Some recommendations:
Heavy Metal:
The "How it began" part. Just check out Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath. You should know
youtube
Thrash Metal:
The earlier albums of Metallica, Testament, Exodus, and of course Slayer. "Raining Blood"
youtube
is well known, and I connect "Bloodline"
youtube
with long road trips as a child.
Doom Metal:
Some Black Sabbath is also considered doom metal. Apart from that I recommend Pentagram and Witchfinder General.
Black Metal:
Not mine, personally, except for certain derivatives, but they'll come later. I like very few black metal songs. They are:
youtube
youtube
Death Metal:
Many subgenres, I personally prefer Melodic Death Metal. Cannibal Corpse is well-known and also Obituary. Check out Debauchery, some In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and Arch Enemy too. Recommendation:
youtube
But to be honest, most Children of Bodom songs sound alike 😂
Dark Metal/Gothic Metal:
Hard to sort the whole discography of one band into this subgenre. Some Cradle of Filth, some Sirenia, some Samsas Traum, Type O Negative. I also like
youtube
Power Metal:
Sabaton, Powerwolf, Manowar (not everything), HammerFall, Grave Digger (not everything), Sonata Arctica, some Blind Guardian. Power Metal often has characteristics of Symphonic Metal in some songs, so it's hard to put one band in one strict category.
Symphonic Metal:
Nightwish, Xandria, Within Temptation, Epica. Too many favourites to recommend a specific song.
Progressive Metal:
Dream Theater, Opeth, Tool, Symphony X. Specific song:
youtube
Folk Metal:
Some Ensiferum, Eluveitie, Týr, Finntroll, Svartsot, Korpiklaani. Also The HU for Mongolian representation 😎 Folk Metal is huge, I just focus on "northern" stuff because I'm "northern" too. Song recommendation:
youtube
Viking Metal:
This is actually a "Whatever, as long as it's about Norse stuff and the Viking age" genre. This is why many death metal, folk metal, and power metal bands ALSO are considered viking metal.
Amon Amarth are very well-known, I'd recommend
youtube
Pagan Metal:
Also a "Whatever, as long" category. Most folk metal bands are simultaneously pagan metal. Moonsorrow are more black metal but also pagan metal, which is why I'll briefly mention them here.
There also are Varg, but if I'm not mistaken they had some right wing stuff going on, so be careful there. I'm not sure what happened, but I think some of the band members openly supported a neonazi group. Could be that the members were kicked out after that, but even if everything is alright now, they still have a negative connotation.
Somewhere in between all this, there's Alestorm. They're also considered pirate metal, btw. But I'm not actively into that, which is why I put them somewhere in-between.
Industrial Metal:
This is your outsider, and I think every band considered "Industrial Metal" is at the same time considered 5 genres more. Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Eisbrecher (some would say it's Gothic), Ministry.
Nu Metal:
Some people would say "Nu Metal isn't metal!!!", but I like it anyway. Check out Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Disturbed. "Duality" by Slipknot is the song of a common meme ("I push my fingers into my eyes") 😄
Also Machine Head, but it's hard to categorise them. I just checked, Wikipedia says they're sometimes considered "neo-thrash". Well I guess they're a bit of everything, but their newer albums definitely have nu metal character.
Metalcore:
If you say you're a metalhead but only listen to metalcore, metalheads will hate you for this. Just so you know. ☝🏼 It's a valid genre, but you're on thin ice if you don't listen to other metal genres. There are many overlapping genres here, which is why, again, it's difficult to label bands.
Parkway Drive (some would scream that they're post hardcore), Silverstein (some would scream that they're hardcore punk, others that they're emo), As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine (some would scream that they're emo, others would say they're heavy metal), Bring Me The Horizon depending on the song, August Burns Red.
Lamb of God are considered metalcore too, but in my opinion they're more metal than metalcore. Anyway I'll mention them here for the sake of classification.
Yeah, that's about it, I guess. This post is already very long, so I guess I better stop at this point. I hope from here on you'll manage to navigate through the big metal genre yourself 😄
P.S.: I forgot Trivium! "Feast Of Fire" is currently stuck in my head

Okay, my honest opinion on the "fall" of hair metal is, yeah grunge came in and wipped it out sure, but if grunge didn't something else would have. As much as I love the genre, by 1992 it was getting stale. The sound was getting old and the bands living in complete excess was as well. Everyone was dying or cleaning up their act. All the major bands by that point had broken up or had replacement members. The genre was also getting way to saturated. So naturally the record companies and kids clung to a new sound. That sound unfortunately was Grunge. It did kill metal, but only in mainstream since. Metal was still very much alive in the thrash or power metal scenes for example. Sure it wasn't all over MTV and it wasn't being sold to you as sex appeal and excess anymore but it still existed.

So I’ve been thinking about different metal genres as Pokémon types. Some are easier than others
kawaii - fairy type
Thrash/speed - electric type
Nu - poison
Pirate - water
Folk - grass
Viking - ice
Power - dragon
Industrial - metal
Doom - ghost
gothic - dark (I think doom metal and gothic metal can swap if they want to)
Prog - psychic
Heavy - rock
I just don’t know where to place death metal, grindcore, black netal, glam metal, and death core. And what genres matches ground, fire, flying, bug or normal

Diasomnia Character Songs and Associations
It's finally here! The end of the character songs and associations series! It took a bit longer to get out than I thought it would, but it's now finished.
Here is the seventh dorm, Diasomnia; the dorm of the spirit of nobility. The final of the seven, but also, interestingly, the dorm that started this entire idea.
Notes: Every song is from my liked songs playlist (so feel free to judge me for my taste, haha!) and I only allowed myself to use an artist once for this project. There is also some strong language and mature themes in some of the songs, so be aware if you choose to listen to them. I’ve included: - A song that represents them, - A song they'd listen to, and (for some) an additional song, depending on the character and circumstance
The full Spotify playlist for ALL songs and characters is linked at the end of the post.
Heartslabyul | Savanaclaw | Octavinelle | Scarabia | Pomefiore | Ignihyde
Malleus Draconia
Represented by: Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus - Nicole Dollanganger
This song was actually what inspired me to make this series. It just reminds me so much of Malleus. The narrative setting is similar to the ruins he loves to explore, the music itself is somewhat ethereal, and the lyrics reflect the loneliness Malleus often feels, as well as his fear of loss and change. It's powerful, it's reflective, it's strange, and it's beautiful. Much like Malleus himself.
Listens to: Symphony No. 40 in G Minor, K. 550: IV: Allegro assai - W.A. Mozart, Sinfonia Varsovia, Yehudi Menuhin
Malleus likely listens to primarily classical music, and probably knows how to play many of the pieces he listens to. He would especially enjoy the playfulness of Mozart's compositions, as most Mozart pieces (operas, symphonies, etc.) have a light mood, and are usually filled with jokes. Absolutely perfect for a fae prince!
Lilia Vanrouge
Represented by: Phantasmagoria - Polkadot Cadaver
This song feels very Lilia to me. With a focus on (possibly?) playful scaring, and the uncertain or hidden origins of what people see. There's spooks and startles, but is generally meant to be fun... or that's what's assumed. The Avant-Garde metal genre also suits the unique, fun intensity of Lilia's character.
Listens to: After Life in Purgatory - Lock Up
Okay, I know that 'Lock Up' is grindcore, and not the thrash metal that Lilia canonically listens to. BUT he would totally also listen to music like this. It's fast. It's loud. It's full of screaming. Lilia would love it! (And he'd probably somewhat relate to the lyrics of this song too, considering his past...)
Bonus - Suggests for Music Club: Renewal - Veil
Lilia would suggest something like Veil to play in Music Club, arguing that it's more "gentle" and "approachable" for non-metal fans than some other subgenres, which, yes, that may be the case, but still... Cater would be a bit freaked out.
Silver
Represented by: イジメ、ダメ、ゼッタイ - Babymetal
Silver is an interesting character, being both gentle and fierce simultaneously, which is well-encapsulated in Babymetal's music. The lyrics to this song also are akin to Silver's worldview, and his wish for balance, harmony, and connection.
Listens to: Over the Edge - Sarah Jarosz
I think Silver would listen to softer music, probably a lot of folk, bluegrass, and country music. and, like Jade, he would especially love songs about nature and the outdoors. It just seems like it would suit him! However, I also think he shares a lot of his father's taste in music, resulting in some very strange playlists...
Sebek
Represented by: Soap - The Oh Hellos
Sebek seems to struggle a lot with his mixed identity, outright rejecting half of his heritage. (I think that's something he will learn to accept at some point in the future, and be able to become even stronger in himself and his identity as a result.) However, Sebek is also a bold, determined individual, and truly cares deeply for those he loves and respects... even if he may not outwardly show it.
Listens to: String Quartet No. 6 in F Minor, Op. 80, MWV R37: II: Allegro assai - Felix Mendelssohn, Quatuor Ébène
Because I think Malleus favours classical string music, I also think that Sebek would believe that he should also listen to similar music (as it is obviously superior!) And while he does enjoy many classical pieces, especially Mendelssohn's compositions, it would probably not be Sebek's preferred music in most situations, even if he does listen to it often.
Bonus - Prefers to listen to: Oscar Wilde Gets Out - Elton John
I'm not totally sure why, but I think Sebek would really like music by Elton John! I think that the softer pop rock sound would be something he would enjoy. Oscar Wilde Gets Out would definitely appeal to Sebek, for the literary allusions and references if nothing else.

The audacity of some people to say that metal is limited and is the "same thing" when it's not. It has more subgenres than any other music genre lmao. Do your research.

Lemmy Kilmister, born Ian Fraser Kilmister on December 24, 1945, was a legendary English musician and songwriter best known as the founder, bassist, and lead vocalist of the iconic rock band Motörhead. With his gravelly voice, aggressive bass playing, and larger-than-life persona, Lemmy became an enduring figure in the world of heavy metal and rock 'n' roll.
Lemmy's career began in the 1960s, where he played in various bands before joining Hawkwind, a space rock band, in 1971. He was fired from Hawkwind in 1975 and then formed Motörhead, initially as a side project. Motörhead soon became his primary focus, and the band's relentless, high-energy approach to music quickly gained them a loyal following.
Motörhead's music, characterized by its speed, raw power, and Lemmy's distinctive vocals, laid the groundwork for thrash metal and influenced countless bands across genres. Songs like "Ace of Spades," "Overkill," and "Iron Fist" became anthems of rebellion and a testament to Lemmy's uncompromising attitude toward life and music.
Lemmy's persona extended beyond music; he was known for his love of gambling, collecting Nazi memorabilia, and his fondness for Jack Daniel's whiskey, famously consumed neat with Coca-Cola. Despite his rough exterior, Lemmy was revered for his honesty, humor, and loyalty to his fans.
Lemmy Kilmister passed away on December 28, 2015, just days after his 70th birthday, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations of rockers and metalheads. His impact on the music world remains profound, with his contributions to rock 'n' roll and heavy metal ensuring his place as a true rock icon.
Our hero!

Guys, I would like to dedicate you more to the famous genre of music. I'm still using this blog, so...
Metal is one of the most popular and diverse music genres in the world. It includes many subgenres, such as heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal, black metal and many others. Each of these subgenres has its own characteristics and fans.
Heavy metal is the basis of the genre, it is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, powerful vocals and fast tempo. Thrash metal is characterized by even faster and more aggressive guitar parts, as well as more complex drum breaks. Death metal adds even more aggression and gloom to the music, using extreme vocal techniques and heavier guitar riffs. Black metal is distinguished by even more extreme vocal techniques, the use of satanic symbols and lyrics, as well as dark and dark album covers.
Each of these subgenres has its own fans and its own history of development. Some bands, such as Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, have become real legends of the genre and have had a huge impact on its development. Other bands, such as Cannibal Corpse, Kreator and Behemoth, have created their own unique styles and trends in metal.
