I was unable to access a link to this film, that work on this blog. If you copy the link above, it should take you to the clip. I found gendersick interesting because the audio felt so intimate. It had the depth of a small room that lent a personal and intimate bond between viewer and sound. It feels as though you are having, or at least experiencing a deeply personal moment with the voice. The imagery is so simplistic, with the majority of the film, being the same two shots repeated, over and over. Although the images have nothing obviously relating to the audio, the way in which they are repeated to the rhythm of the protagonists’ words, allows the image to connect with the sound and the viewer.

It's called A,B,C,D,E,I ranking, and basically how it works is when starting a sport you start as unranked, then you earn your rankings as you go up. For example a C ranked team beats 3 A ranked teams, they earn an A ranking, and if a A ranked team loses to an E ranked team a couple times they move down to B. At the end of the season you have a competition between all the A ranked teams for a winner.

A cis male goalie can be as doped up and as big as he wants but that's not gonna stop a better team from strategizing on his weak points. Similarly no cis male is faster/stronger than any cis female. The women's soccer team in the US had a match where they crushed the men's team but it wasn't an upset. Out of all the videos we watched in the lecture, this one inspired me the most. I really liked how the artist juxtaposed the imagery with the sound, as if the images are moving along with the wavelengths of the narrators voice, e.g. when their voice speeds up, so does the image. I also really liked the confessional style of the voice-over.
