The Legacy of Vice President Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris made history in 2021 when she was sworn in as the 49th Vice President of the United States, becoming the first woman, first Black person, and first person of South Asian descent to hold this office. Harris brings to the office a diverse background in law and politics. LGBT Gay Pride Rainbow is a powerful symbol of diversity, inclusion, and celebration within the LGBTQ+ community. The rainbow flag, created by artist Gilbert Baker in 1978, has become an internationally recognized emblem of gay pride and LGBTQ+ rights.
The flag's six vibrant colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet - represent different aspects of the LGBTQ+ experience: life, healing, sunlight, nature, harmony, and spirit. This colorful symbol is prominently displayed during Pride events, parades, and celebrations worldwide.

Gay Pride events, often held in June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall riots, are joyful gatherings that celebrate LGBTQ+ identity, promote visibility, and advocate for equal rights. These events feature rainbow-adorned participants, floats, and performances, creating a festive and inclusive atmosphere.
The rainbow symbol extends beyond flags to various forms of expression, including clothing, accessories, art, and even corporate logos during Pride month. It serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies alike, promoting a message of love, acceptance, and the right to live authentically.

Kamala Harris: A Voice for the LGBTQ Community in Politics
Kamala Harris has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights throughout her political career. As Vice President of the United States, she has continued to champion equality and inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community.
Tumblr media
Buy now:19.95$
Harris's support for gay rights dates back to her time as District Attorney of San Francisco, where she established an LGBTQ hate crimes unit. As California's Attorney General, she refused to defend Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state. She also officiated the first same-sex marriage in California after the Supreme Court overturned Prop 8.
In the U.S. Senate, Harris co-sponsored the Equality Act, which would provide comprehensive protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. She has consistently spoken out against discriminatory policies and practices targeting LGBTQ+ individuals.
As Vice President, Harris has participated in Pride events, met with LGBTQ+ leaders, and used her platform to raise awareness about issues affecting the community. She has emphasized the importance of addressing disparities in healthcare, employment, and housing that disproportionately impact LGBTQ+ people, particularly those of color and transgender individuals.

Harris's commitment to LGBTQ+ rights aligns with the Biden administration's broader agenda of promoting equality and social justice. Her advocacy has earned her support from many within the LGBTQ+ community, though some activists continue to push for more comprehensive reforms.
Pride Lesbian Fun Gifts are a vibrant and joyful way to celebrate lesbian identity and LGBTQ+ pride. These gifts often feature rainbow colors or the specific lesbian pride flag colors of pink, orange, and red shades. Popular items include t-shirts, pins, stickers, and jewelry adorned with slogans, symbols, or humorous references to lesbian culture.
Practical yet festive options might include rainbow-themed kitchenware, colorful socks, or pride-themed phone cases. For a more personal touch, customized gifts like photo frames or engraved jewelry can be meaningful. Books by lesbian authors or about lesbian experiences are also thoughtful choices.

Fun and quirky gifts might include lesbian-themed board games, card decks, or party supplies perfect for pride events. Rainbow-colored craft supplies or art kits can appeal to creative individuals. For music lovers, albums by iconic lesbian artists or concert tickets could be ideal.
When choosing a Pride Lesbian Fun Gift, consider the recipient's interests and style. The best gifts combine a celebration of identity with something the person will genuinely enjoy using or displaying. Remember, the most important aspect is the spirit of pride, love, and acceptance behind the gift.
Selecting the best gift for a politician requires thoughtfulness and consideration of their public role. Practical items like high-quality leather portfolios, sophisticated pens, or personalized stationery can be both useful and appreciated. Books on political history, leadership, or biographies of influential figures are often well-received.

For a more personal touch, consider items that reflect the politician's home state or district, such as locally crafted goods or artwork. Patriotic-themed gifts, like flag cufflinks or a beautifully bound copy of the Constitution, can be appropriate.
Charitable donations made in the politician's name to causes they support can be meaningful and align with their public service ethos. Lastly, consider experience gifts, such as tickets to a local cultural event or a guided tour of a historical site, which can provide a welcome respite from their busy schedule.

i dunno, pride themed drinks sell pretty damn well year round. i've also got a pitch for you. during christmas time, there's a song that goes around that has the line "don we now our gay apparel," right? so why don't you host a little drag show or something with that theme. like. christmas gays. if the twins get on your nerves, you could even make them wear rainbow skirts and perform a show.
You have pink lemonade and are adding blue lemonade... so can we have purple lemonade next? Pretty please?
You people...Just because I decided to add one more variation of lemonade to the menu doesn't mean that I am adding the rest of the colors of the rainbow. Besides, Pride month ended 3 months ago.

Made another design in my series of pride Norse designs that I'm creating as a fuck you to nazis appropriating the runes and other symbols in hopes that if we can make designs of them that are so blatantly gay they won't want to touch them anymore. (Previous designs: Pride Loki Runes | Be Gay, Do Pride )
It's Yggdrasil (Norse tree of life) with the colors of the original pride flag in the tree/branches surrounded by rings in the colors of the triangle of the progress flag (representing BIPOC, Trans, and Intersex) (Design is transparent. Grey background is for visibility purposes)
Tumblr media
Just like the previous designs, I'll be hosting the full-res file of this design as a free download on my Ko-Fi for people to use to make their own apparel/stickers/whatever. And also hosted on Threadless for those who can't print them on stuff themselves (or just don't feel like it) but still want something with this design on it. Each sale will also make an automatic donation to various LGBT+ charities like The Trevor Project and the National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network.
I'll be making more of these designs and also be taking requests for a bit if there are any pride rune/Norse designs anyone might want to see made, feel free to just drop them in my ask box!
[Edit: For some reason linking to the download on Ko-Fi hides this post in tags. No idea why, because the other posts were/are fine, but anyway there's a link to my Ko-Fi in my pinned post. Apologies for the inconvenience.]

Heyo, it's the usual periodic reminder that I make some pride stuff in my Etsy shop.
Asexual and aromantic rings. Black for ace, white for aro. Made of UV resin. Available in 8 size options (16mm up to 23mm). $3 each.
Hand painted glass earrings. Studs or dangles; the backs are steel in either case. Colors were achieved through me mixing colors individual, so probably won't be exact. Were also painted by me, so there will be variation. Available in nine options: rainbow pride, lesbian, gay, trans, nonbinary, ace, aro, pan, and bi. $10 per pair.
Hand painted crackle glass accessories. Necklaces, keychains, pins, or paperclip bookmarks. Were also painted by me, so the same caveats apply. Available in the same nine options. $10 each.
If you're interested, they're available in my Etsy shop, Widget's Apparel. There's a link to the shop in my pinned post and the notes of this post.

the death of rainbow capitalism
witness the death of rainbow capitalism with the stroke of a pen.
performative ally-ship will be made more transparent with the sharp hypocrisy of former corporate sponsors to Pride™ that now rescind workplace protections for POC and the LGBTQIA+ community. the most egregious offenders have done so without mandate of unjust law.
June’s luster will grey as storefront displays languish in stock rooms, and branded products lay waste in landfills. the multi-color transformations of logos of June yore will memorialize the demise of rainbow capitalism. no longer can we don their gay apparel without irony.
despite legal precedent, corporations are not people. they can feel no shame; thus, an assault to their purse-strings is vital.
shareholders, policymakers, ‘DEI-snitches’ & CEOs should bear a brutal shame. the individuals complicit in the campaign of hate, division and exclusion must be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof.
boycotts of goods and services are in order for any business that supports fascism to any extent. this should include their divestment from all services which cater to or support discriminative policies.
without public declaration and visible actions to ensure equity in the workplace, any business should be vulnerable to target.
this is not a call to enshrine rainbow capitalism, or use it as a benchmark of success. the inherent exploitation in pink- & white-washing cannot continue.
businesses that collaborated with fascists during World War II should have never been allowed to remain in operation. as such, businesses which do not support and improve quality of life in an equitable society should no longer exist.
justice has no value under capitalism.
