Women Getting Outdoors This event has been in the works for quite a while now. We’re offering a camping weekend for women to learn the basics of camping and improve camping skills. Become more familiar with camping equipment, setting up a campsite, making a good fire, putting up a tent, cooking outside. Discover more ways to experience the outdoors, forage for food, identify a few edible and medicinal plants, start a small container garden, fish in our local waters and cook what you catch. If this sounds like something you would like to do please #savethedate June 11-13. Have conversations with us around our campfires where you will enjoy a meal, hear stories and sing songs. Most of the food will be harvested from the farm. There will be much more information posted about this upcoming event. I find myself entirely too often spinning out in my mind and heart. Questioning my value based on what someone may think, compulsively reviewing the why’s of why someone may not accept me or love me, why I’m not good enough, obsessing over phone calls ignored and text messages unrequited. Often wondering why I cry for others to define me instead of hitting that show and prove for self and family alone. Lately. Though. I am also feeling the magic of dreams’ evolutions really spark. All the stars of dreams past aligning to create a much more powerful constellation than I ever imagined. And. I am reclaiming space and time to conjure what is needed to build vehicle to get there. I hate that I have to convince myself that I am worth reaching for what I want. I wither each time I realize I am allowing others’ devaluing of me to weaken roots—because those who matter set my worth at priceless and I must respect their investment. Which means. It’s time. To ink canvas as mantra and aspiration: I dream of a ‘56-‘57 Step Side Chevy with the woody side rails and the big box bed packed full of the fresh food I drive around daily to pick up so I can work hard to kitchen fairy delicious vegan goodness for any and all who choose to drop a pin for my location where they’ll find the most humble food cart hitched to this gorgeous two seater anywhere from here to the ATL♥️ My IG grid often makes me laugh, thousands of pics, exclamations that far too many could really care less about—until I finally realize that this is just my journal, a visual line by line declaration of where I was, where I be, where I’m going...for me.
