Trying to judge Kakashi for his teaching fuck-ups is hard because everything keeps getting skewed by everything that is wrong with this man and also everything around him. He ends up being graded on the triple wonky curves of: 1) "You know, I'm not sure that you specifically could have done much better." (Child soldier as a preschooler, isolated genius prodigy fast-tracked out of childhood, violently orphaned twice, war veteran, late teenage years and nearly half his life spent in black ops, he's only like 26 years old, etc...)

2) "I'm not sure that the average Konoha ninja could have really done much better in Kakashi's shoes." (Inconsistent prior Academy training for students, little to no apparent teacher training or solid child development resources for genin team teachers, inconsistent oversight from neglectful superiors, promotion exams where it's apparently normal-ish for participants to be either killed or permanently injured, etc...)

3) "I don't think anyone could have handled this situation well, honestly. It was fucked up before Kakashi showed up." (Sasuke.) (Also Naruto if his personality had been slightly different, after 12 years of neglect and shunning. What the fuck.)

silly headcanon plot twist- Charlie's jealously at the spear ISN'T silly or irrational at all, it's a subconscious manifestation of Charlie's desperation for her girlfriend to actually open up emotionally to HER instead of to a WEAPON, confide fears and problems in CHARLIE, and a very frustrated, very also-emotionally-constipated-in-her-own-way Charlie doesn't wanna pin that frustration on Vaggie directly so she deflects all her anger to the spear, which as an inanimate objects, can't get any hurt feelings over this or decide Charlie is too much and dump her

I've seen people who are otherwise ideologically opposed to me- speaking out against the revisionism happening with theyfab. I'll even take folks who are like, "well it's not a slur- but it's just plain dishonest to act like it has anything to do with critiquing transmisogyny." Like 4chan cis men invented it, it's a slur still drenched in its original transphobic misogynist context- but whatever! These folks have a better platform to stand against this shit than I do because they share community with the people defending it. I don't care who does the convincing or how.

today i made the mistake of looking at my Patreon earnings graph over the past ten years,

and moving into this apartment with the ex who is currently moving out basically instantly halved my earnings, with a further reduction after he sexually assaulted me while i was in a k-hole from medical ketamine infusions which were supposed to be the last ditch effort to fix my PTSD from prior trauma, but which ended up being a massive waste of money because he instantly retraumatized me, basically sweeping $7000 of my money into a big pile on the ground and setting it on fire. so i waited 3 years for him to figure out why he did it and come to me with a plan to fix his heart, he never did. just thought it would go away on its own i guess. and that it wasnt a big deal, or wasnt real, or didnt matter because the only experiences he recognizes as authentic are his own. i asked him why he did it and he said "i dont know" and that was all the explanation i ever got out of him.

it's fascinating to have a realtime line graph showing me exactly how functional or dysfunctional i am as measured in an actual dollar amount, and being able to match it up to real life events. salaried people dont get this kind of data

if jakey is snooping on my blog, from which he is blocked, and reading this, he can go fuck himself. i already paid the rent this month, because it turns out when jakey isnt pestering me i can actually function well enough to make that kind of money.

the moral of this story is to get rid of men instantly the first time they have a significant fuckup, a lesson i have failed to learn about ten times now

see normally i try to avoid and dislike using "they're ooc" as a criticism bc it's been historically used to flatten out a character's flaws. i want to use any possible in universe route to explain what's going on regardless of whether it aligns w authorial intent or not. anyway i think ten is ooc in girl in the fireplace
