Gappay balls are more expensive than I was picturing. Is there a cheaper version of ball-on-a-rope that can be used for training purposes?
Edited to add: I am in the United States.

Anakin insisting gol gappay / pani puri are supposed to be spicy. Obi-Wan demanding that they're sweet. They have to make two batches of water every time so that they don't fight like cats.
(Similarly, Anakin believes gulab jaman are best served cold. Obi-Wan hates how they get denser in the fridge and wants them warmed up)

a/n : aaaaa it's such a hazy weather here I'm crAVING gol gappay rn
paani puri; a street food where crisp fried dough balls (puri) are stuffed with potatoes, sprouts, spicy tangy water or sweet chutney.
"woah! y/n, y/n, can we try this?"
Mark held your arm as he dragged you backwards towards the vender that had miraculously caught his eye. He had been on a roll, basically enjoying himself like no tomorrow. The rain had settled down a while ago, and only soft drizzles were dribbling from the clouds. Fortunately for you and your grumbling stomach, he had eyed a paani puri vender.
"oh," you looked towards mark, who's eyes were basically replicating glitter in plea, tips of his hair damp underneath the shared umbrella. You nodded, and signalled the man behind the stall for a serving.
"what's this called?"
"paani puri," you shuffled through your wallet with a soft smile on your lips, "Or gol gappay, there's a whole debate."
"OOOH!"
He picked a spot nearby on a plastic table, the material making a plopping noise as soft rain drops settled on it. He sat cheerfully like a child, waiting for his order of McDonald's. You set the tray on the table and sat in front of him, watching him in anticipation.
"is it, like, self assembled?"
"yeah," you smiled, making the first one for him and holding it in front of his mouth, "careful, though, it'll break if you don't eat it fast."
He opened his mouth and took it in one bite, chewing thoughtfully, and his eyes grew wide with surprise, "Shoot, this is great, dude!"
he watched you try and toss one into your mouth, struggling to put it all at once. The corners of his lips were curled into an awkward smirk as you held a hand underneath your chin, the sour water trickling down your lips.
"you're struggling with this small of a ball?"
"give me a break, these are huge."
"that explains last night."
"mark!"
He laughed, watching you assemble another one, this time, successfully eating it in one bite. "In my defense," you said, covering your mouth as you spoke, voice muffled due to the piece in your mouth.
"Five pieces of gulab jamun were too much even for your mouth."
