I was watching Jimmy Fallon and he was showcasing what gameshows were like in 2010 and the clip he showed was a contestant choosing what animal sounded like a chick. When they got to the last option, it was Justin Bieber singing You Belong with Me and crowd went fucking crazy.

Before the Adam Sandler classic… there was CLICK, an internet/computer-themed gameshow for teens born from the dotcom boom of the late 90s/early 2000s.
Hosted by none other than "the master of the mouse" (yes that is how they intro him) Ryan Seacrest.
Click was short-lived and seems to be mostly lost aside from a handful of archived episodes on YouTube.. let us dig into these episodes and see what we've lost… 🔍

My sibling started dating this sheltered rich girl and her dad was so against this that he cursed our house so hard until he realized his daughter just wanted to have a normal life and then he uncursed it.
Me and my friends had a whole side plot about doing a gameshow in Hell to get a chandelier. Both plots intertwined when both groups (my sibling and their new girlfriend and me and my friends) joined up at Fazoli's to get lunch.

So I binged-watched Agents of Mystery on Netflix. It’s Korean, but actually had a quality English dub, which was a strange and novel experience.
And it was really good. It’s basically 6 affable people with excellent tv etiquette completing what is 5 parts incredibly high quality/high concept escape rooms, and 1 part mystery LARP. There are 6 episodes, consisting of two mysteries split into three parts: The Followers of the Evil One and The Deep Sea Mystery. TFotEO had a little bit of early instalment weirdness (especially regarding costumes), but both have solid premises.
Also I cannot convey how epic the room sets are. Especially TDSM, it’s just so incredible. They also pull off some other pretty cool practical effects such as some real fun with hydraulics. That being said, flash/epilepsy warning for anytime they’re using the teleporter, although that is only once at the beginning of each mystery.
It’s also a little bit spooky, and that’s fun. There were places they could have made it spookier, but I think the main reason they didn’t was for health and safety issues if the contestants panicked.
Also in TFotEO they set up a little bit of a hide-and-seek mechanic that had excellent potential - think Demon Patrol from Raven: TDE - but was ultimately only used twice to deftly raise some tension and pass on some information. Not a criticism, just what I think was a missed opportunity.
It’s just really fun. The only actual gripe I had was that there were some minor pacing issues. But they were the kind that get ironed out over time so I hope they do make another series. I’d definitely recommend it.
