This video is worth watching because Carlos (creator of Galvatron's Revenge) severs ties with the neo-nazi VA Orbital Bacon (who actually voices more than Optimus but also Ultra Magnus and Galvatron). He talks about not condoning discrimination. He also explains in a clear manner what the project funds went to. I believe what he says, just that he has made mistakes.

The video increased my respect for him to an extent, although this is not an apology video so do not expect that. This is an explanation video unfortunately.

I wish he had taken people seriously when we tried to tell him about Orbital Bacon. When I tried to tell Carlos how OB harassed me and minorities, he deleted my comment and defended OB. That was last year and Carlos has changed his mind since then.

The video also explains the difficulties behind the production and why it took so long.

I have watched the movie itself. You can watch it if you like, but... Well, I don't want to be so mean to criticize a fan project's story here.

This will be my last time posting about the project because it makes me sad thinking about it too much. I used to have so much hope for it when I was a teen. I don't want to keep posting negative things on my blog and really want to go back to excited posts about my game.

I watched Galvatron's Revenge. But only the parts with Smokescreen in it. I heard it sucked so I didn't want to torture myself. It definitely could be better. And the VAs could be better, I'm looking at you Optimus. But there are something things I liked.

Mainly that they didn't puts Smokescreen on the back burner like a lot of people do. I am not at all saying this was a good movie. You can still like things about it but dislike it in general.

I like Smokescreen's fight with Cyclonus. I like how they used his knowledge of the Hall of Records. His relationship with Hotrod was eh.

But there was one part that had me laughing. Cyclonus asked Smokescreen if his energon was yellow. Yellow energon actually exists. It's basically crack. Cyclonus asked Smokescreen if he was high.

Probably not what it was meant to be, but still funny.

No, adding characters that you like in a fan sequel just because you like them besides the fact that you don't know how to write in the first place, it's never a good idea

Or the scene where Optimus came back to life and his paint was purely white? And everyone stopped fighting just to praise his glorious new color?

Normally not what i post on here, but I was just told by the creator of Galvatron's Revenge he's going to post a video tomorrow answering some questions. I will hopefully get to interview him, as he said he would be able to if all of my questions aren't answered. So if you have any questions DM me.

Finally watched "Galvatron's Revenge".

Not living off a second-hand opinion is always good for you, although in this case it's... well, nuanced. I forgive a fan project for quite a lot. Even if I remember seeing "Garry's Mod" goofy machinimas done better. But good fucking god, couldn't all their voice actors at least try opening their fucking mouths and articulating while mumbling their tongue-twisters instead of trying to poorly mimic the original intonations (miserably overdoing)? This rubbish NEEDS subtitles. Which aren't there. I wouldn't care much about shitty visual effects if I could get a captivating story told through dialogues that don't require me to go back to the start of a phrase and try to understand what the actual fuck a character is mouthing out.

What was good:

๑ Combaticons making an appearance and having some impact. Them merging into Devastator looks pretty well done, these 3 seconds of the fight weren't bad. ๑ Slipstream getting a new role independently of Starscream. ๑ Cyclonus had a potential. Unfortunately, with Galvatron being a mind-numbing cliche of a villain, it was so easy a child could write it. And eventually, it all went out of the window. ๑ Just new characters being introduced instead of worsening all the original cast. ๑ A decent attempt to add to the lore. They tried. What didn't play well is that they made a mistake typical for amateur writers cooking up their first fanfic. Starting with the stakes already high as the sky. Bad guy wants to destroy the universe. With the power of a tiny minion with an arm cannon. Perfect plan, man. And good guys must no less than kill a god. And what's a real downer is that it's just a plain recycling of what we've already seen. Knock Out is probably on cocaine, with these shitting mouse eyes of his. Doesn't help with "good guys get blue eyes" bullshit.

Guess what Starscream is gonna be in the Galvatron's Revenge sequel Dinobots Unleashe.

I don't care because the creator of Galvatron's Revenge is homophobic. Completely supports a bigot called Orbital Bacon, who is well known for harassing gay and trans people in the Transformers community. Orbital Bacon is trying to preach that I'm a pedophile because I'm trans. He supports the death penalty for gay people. He's also incredibly racist and sexist. There are so many instances of him trying to hurt people. Who is this person? The voice of Optimus Prime in Galvatron's Revenge. Yeah, and the creator of Galvatron's Revenge supports this dude, calls him justified, thinks he is a good person, and erases comments calling OB out. Do not support this bloody project. Do not admire these people. Are we really going to give power and a platform to them in our fandom? This is why boycotting is important. Heard the story is bad anyway and you have to pay $50 to see it. Which is illegal, by the way. But now that me and some other people exposed that, they might be changing their plans to a free release

The sexist comments towards Arcee drove me insane actually. Also the random hyperrealistic explosions??? It looked so bad. Also I don't think Primus would just revive Optimus like that? He just appeared like that. The newsparks in stasis and Bruticus was cool ig. This shit was ass overall.

So, I tried to watch Galvatron Revenge, I have not survived 5 minute in the film. I was confused by the animation and compositions.

The animations are terrible, there was no attempt at rendering (yes, I am getting a 3d animation degree. I can judge my friends). The uv? What's that? Lights? Ah, you mean full light! Details? Nah. What are those???

To me It looks like a B class game! We did better games and animations in university with little less.

Story? It doesn't make sense. First, I was pretty sure that HotRod (Rodimus) storyline was used for Smokescreen: so we have two characters that are the same. Optimus back to life?? It was the reason Rid 2015 was hated so much. Also, Galvatron coming back? Why so? I think they both deserved their ends at the time, but I gave it half a chance.

Arcee writing? What is that? Tf in the '80 and TF in the '80 was even Less sexist at this point, *porcone italian style*

Composition. Oh man. Don't make me start. 

Some of them are ok, but not as memorable, they work terribly cause of the lack of lights! The drama, the darks and lights?? The colors of the lights?? It's so... Uh, flat.

Animation? Maybe the face rig doesn't work as bad, but the rest? Oh man, it is horrible. 

They are stiff. I know that they are robots, but they lack something, the middle between action that many 3d animations do.

Well, Optimus VC too, but people seem to already talk about it.

Not only talk about the money, no DVD is going to be given, but, also, it's a big fucking scam. And will pass as the most horrendous film, even as a fan film. If not the worst scam in transformers history and how will leave a mark to TF prime and in TF History.
