We Aren't Lovers, I swear!

Two best friends as children.

Two digimon with contrasting dreams but still tighter than two peas in a pod.

One is taken under the wing of a Royal Knight and the other amicably leaves to fulfill their own ambitions elsewhere.

One becomes the Demon Lord of Gluttony, fulfilling their dream while the other struggles to come close to their own.

Another canidate takes the seat they long desire and duels for said-seat have always ended in their defeat.

Humiliated, this digimon now roams the Digital World to seek the strength they need to become a Royal Knight.

Fate, however, seems to make the vagrant Demon Lord and traveling Fledgling Knight clash more than once and more often than the Knight would like to admit.

Don Quixote

Don Quixote is based on the eponymous protagonist of Miguel de Cervantes's novel The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha

and her default EGO "La Sangre de Sancho" is Spanish for "The Blood of Sancho", a reference to Sancho Panza, a character from Don Quixote, whom Don Quixote is directly based on.

Don Quixote has an intense sense of justice and desire to protect the weak as well as she notably speaks exclusively in Middle English, seemingly in an attempt to take on a more "knightly" persona.

And as we get to see a bright cheerful Don Quixote, we also get to see her true nature as a powerful Bloodfiend in the lasted Event story before the next Canto

Charcadet has a fiery fighting spirit and will battle opponents tougher than itself. Its firepower increases as it fights, reaching temperatures of over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit (1,000 degrees Celsius). It enjoys eating Berries that are rich in fat, it is also said to have accompanied nobility and knights in the past. Charcadet's evolution is influenced by old sets of armor: one with auspicious wishes living within it and one with malicious will lurking within it.

Ceruledge is merciless and will do anything to win a battle. It prefers to do close-quarters combat, with a mix of sneak and surprise attacks. By using its quick speed to locate a foe's blind spots, it will then move closer before slashing them with its large swords. Any cuts from Ceruledge's swords will cause wounds that leak life energy, which the swords then absorb

Armarouge's armor is said to have belonged to a distinguished warrior, and is the source of its psychic power. The armor allows Armarouge to control its inner fire energy and use attacks. Armarouge is loyal and believes in fighting fair, willing to fight head-on no matter how strong the foe is. It first focuses on using its sturdy armor for defense before using high firepower in order to take down opponents. When attacking, Armarouge moves its pauldrons to its hands and puts them together to form a cannon, which it uses to shoot projectiles

Gallantmon is an Exalted Knight Digimon. One of the "Royal Knights", it is a being containing contradictions, as it is called a guardian deity of the Net despite being a virus attribute and if by any chance its balance is lost, it is possible for it to become a dangerous being. 

ChaosGallantmon is a Dark Warrior Digimon. It is another form of Gallantmon which has awoken to its instincts as a virus-species. Its heart and thoughts are completely tainted by the Dark Side.

Gonna be honest with you - I'd imagine they'd try to eat it at first. Soldier would at least, maybe roping Demo (probably drunk) into helping him

No one stops them either. The worst they'll do is set the kitchen on fire and make a bunch of mess with the eggs. That's not too crazy

How very wrong they were

The eggs - All at once, as Soldier was prepared to crack them - hatched and there was just a bunch of Baby Digimon everywhere

The mercenaries are all trying to catch these giggly and slippery little guys, maybe shooting at them along the way. It's very chaotic, paired with a lot of yelling and maybe comedically girlish screams

The only ones who are dealing with this calmly are probably Spy, Engineer, and Pyro. Spy and Engineer are mostly calm because the little guys aren't really hurting anyone, just being annoying by causing chaos. Pyro is calm because they like the Digimon a lot

No one knows what Digimon are because there's no media about it (googled to check if they would have come out when TF2 is set - They did not)

Pauling is contacted eventually to help. When she gets there, she is promptly jumped by all the babies, who use her as a shield to hide from the Mercs

Some are hanging out with Pyro instead, using their presence as a shield

Eventually, all of them are caught and things are settled. It's very difficult to keep it settled, but yeah. More help on the battlefield :D

what happened

Don't worry friend, that's actually pretty normal. We don't understand how exactly digitama are generated, but we do know that it has something to do with the data that Digimon took in just before the end of their previous cycle. There's also anecdotal evidence of a Digimon's emotions influencing their digitama but that hasn't been studied nearly as much. Just incubate and raise them like normal and hopefully y'all will be able to celebrate this new chapter in their life together!

Digimon Liberator

They revealed the name of the last character from promotional materials for the Digimon Liberator web comic, Close and Sunarizamon.

Part I of Episode 7 came out (today) on 10/10, and part II will be released on Thu. 10/24. (so, regular schedule)

Furthermore, chapters Debug.5 and .6 are scheduled to release mid november.

EX-08 Chains of Liberation

The trailer shows some new card illustrations, which we've known about from product descriptions: Voltobautamon, Sakuyamon X and Justimon X.

Extra Booster Chains of Liberation will release in Japan on 29th of November. This Set will include characters, and cards, we've been introduced to already through the web novel: Tyrannomon, Dinomon, Ryutaro Williams, PolarBearmon, Skadimon, and Suzune Kazuki.

After EX-07 introduced the trait NSp (Nature Spirits), this set will give it more support, as well as introduce DS (Deep Savers) and NSo (Nightmare Soldiers). From product information we can assume this set will also feature Myotismon and Plesiomon. With Myotismon and Piedmon DNA Evolving into Voltobautamon, we might also get a Deep Savers DNA Evolution.

We will also get "Shoto Kazama's New Trump Card" - MedievalDukemon/Gallantmon! This card had already been featured in Digimon Liberator web comic Episode 6. It has both [Vortex Warriors] and [Witchelny] in its traits (as well as [Warrior]) so hopefully it will see more play than the one from EX4.

BT-20 Over the X ([ɛks])

Over the X is schedule to release in Japan on January 31th 2025! Based on the promotional image, we will receive an new Alphamon Ouryuken! This set will also feature Digimon Chronicle and Digimon Seekers again!

An Image (print?) of Yuuki and Impmon will be distributed at a BT-20 release tournament in Japan.

With BT-19 having the BT-14 WarGreymon serial number card campaign, BT-20 will have one for the BT-15 MetalGarurumon. Displays will contain a code with which you can enter a lottery, and there will be 150 winners. (I would assume only in Japan)

We got a look at the first wave of official sleeves from 2025. They will release on January 31th 2025 in Japan.

Digimon Animation Series 25th Set PB-20 got announced! Release is scheduled to be March 2025, with preorders going from October 15th (Tue) to November 14th (Thu) 2024. Includes 1 Playmat, 20 Cards (10 different Cards, each 2 copies), 50+5 Card Sleeves (for one Digimon main deck and digi-egg deck), and a storage box.

Sit Down, Shut Up X Digimon AU

I'M BACK WITH ANOTHER DIGIMON AU!

Honestly, the 'I am going to create an crossover that is so doesn't make sense' image sums this up nicely regarding niche special interests and hyperfixations.

Either way, for those of you who aren't aware, Sit Down, Shut Up is a 2009 animated sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development. While it is generally thought of being either a 'you love it or you hate it' show, it has a special place in my heart and despite its raunchy/lewd humor, I find it strangely comforting to watch.

And because I've been getting back into both Digimon and Sit Down, Shut Up as of late, it is only natural that my brain has the 'genius' idea of combining the two. It started with the innocuous question of 'What would the cast be if they were Digimon?' which is something I've asked for multiple other fandoms as well, such as Pepper Ann, Braceface, and Fillmore! to name a few.

I don't have much of a plot super specific to the show in a Digimon setting, but I do have an overall plot which I tend to use in most of my Digimon x (show) AUs involving the 'Digital World' being a near copy of the human/real world, with monsters having jobs, children, school, that sort of thing. All without knowing they're living in a simulation. The characters eventually find out they DO live in a simulation by another race foreign to them (humans), and find themselves having to go to the 'real world', where they find themselves facing a brand new threat, the Seven Great Demon Lords; seven powerful creatures, each representing some type of vice, who were created by the humans to purge the simulation and start over.

But some of them have their own interests in mind…

That's the usual scenario I use when 'brainstorming' (haha daydreaming) but with Sit Down, Shut Up I could go for less of the adult 'raunchy humor' everywhere, and instead incorporate more of an intense/edgy feel more geared towards adults with some added adult humor, rather than the moreso 'for kids' I would do for say, a Fillmore! or Pepper Ann Digimon AU.

Because it's eight champion-level (unless stated) adult Digimon who work in a digi-school and can barely tolerate one another, with some tolerated less than others. Then, everything they've known to be true is revealed to be a lie and they're forced to team up with those same people and kinda try to maybe understand them?

Now, I could see petty drama and 'canon-typical behavior/adult humor' at first being the norm, (kind of like how the sitcom only got thirteen episodes, which is usually when a Digimon season is still lighthearted. Unless you're Ghost Games that is. RIP Bokomon) but then getting Knight Of Cerberus'd and becoming significantly darker. Kind of like what Bojack pulled off, with the perfect mix of adult humor and a meaningful message.

You're probably wondering by now, what did my brain answer when asked that fateful question? Well, here's the Digimon I decided would fit and their lines! Rookie/Child forms are just here for reference, all are at Champion/Adult level unless otherwise stated.

Ennis: Elecmon (Violet) - Leomon - GrapLeomon - BanchoLeomon (Ennis is normally a GrapLeomon because I thought it would be fitting to have him at such a high level due to how 'great' he thinks he is and how he'd be himbo material if he wasn't so… Ennis)

Stuart: Guilmon - Growlmon - WarGrowlmon - Gallantmon/Megidramon (I thought Guilmon's/Growlmon's naivety was a nice fit for Stuart, along with the fact that they can and will fuck you up, e.g. Megidramon as an alternate digivolution)

Helen: Tsukaimon - Saberdramon - LadyDevimon - Star Beelmon

Andrew: Kotemon - Dinohyumon - Kyukimon - SlashAngemon

Willard: Piximon. Nobody knows much of his past, and frankly, they don't really care.
