A concept sheet of unmasked characters from Star Wars: Paranormalities: Episode II.
Gahmah Raan: Scars are fake. Krishari can regenerate. That isn't hair either, but the tendrils' appearance can vary on every Krishari. Krishari are repto-mammals, meaning they have reptilian traits and have a humanoid facial structure, but reproduce like mammals. Gahmah also tends to suffer head or facial injuries every time he takes his helmet off in public, most of which would be permanent or long-lasting for non-Krishari. Arcidus: Burns are more severe around left eye than right eye. His eyes flash whenever he uses Force combustion, causing his goggles to glow as well. Valkor: He isn't actually a droid, as his body actually lacks artificial intelligence. Rather, it is a mechanical avatar. The pure robotic head module is actually blank.

Gahmah Raan - Draw Me Like a Twi’lek Girl
This is also the cover art for Star Wars: Paranormalities: Episode II - Chapter 11: Deranged.
Profile: Gahmah Raan Homeworld: Krishar Species: Krishari Gender: Male Age: 32 Occupation: bounty hunter / mercenary Vehicle: Vriknash The Krishari - a race of repto-mammal humanoids - aren't exactly a primitive species, but they haven't reached their space age either due to the presence of the Forceless Archfiend, Xixixix hindering their mental growth for 25,000 years. Gahmah Raan became the first of his kind to travel the stars when, several years before the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy, a starship crash-landed on Krishar and he killed and ate its pilot over a misunderstanding. He would later name this vessel the Vriknash. At a very young age, Gahmah's father, a high priest to Xixixix - also known as the mad god in Krishari culture - constantly tried to "enlighten" to his son by directly exposing him to the creature in its temple. Xixixix's presence already drove the Krishari somewhat mad on a global scale, but being directly in front of the creature made him deranged even by his species usual standards. Such symptoms included mood swings, quick temper, alleged schizophrenia, an inconsistent grasp on the flow of time, and "delusions" of things that no other beings can see or hear. However, being self-aware of his own symptoms - and exploring the galaxy later- ironically made him saner than most of his people. Eventually, his father was devoured by Xixixix and he was no longer at risk to going further insane. Before launching into the stars, he chose the huntress Nazeen Dym as his mate, who somehow managed to avoid the insanity Xixixix put in her ancestors entirely. Working as a bounty hunter, Gahmah refused to take jobs for crime syndicates such as the Hutts, seeing the job as being as nothing more than glorified leg-breaking. In addition to fighting for the Galactic Alliance during the Vong invasion, he occasionally took jobs for the Valkoran Empire, mostly personal missions on Maesterus's orders and away from the eyes of Valkor. In addition to becoming a self-proclaimed rival of Boba Fett (who, much to Gahmah's dismay, doesn't know anything about him), he also developed an aversion to another bounty hunter sometimes hired by a separate part of the Valkoran: Gestroma, who was known for killing everything that got in his away and sometimes abducting people for personal reasons. Gahmah Raan may have demonstrated several instances of psychopathy during his career, but he never saw mercenary work as a justification for mass murder. Gahmah's natural abilities as a Krishari have aided him significantly throughout his career. In addition to quick reflexes and combat abilities, he can regenerate lost body parts, undoing the (many) injuries he's received throughout the years. Without it, he probably would have died a long time ago. However, regeneration does not equal immortality, as Krishari can still be killed in a way that cuts them off from their regeneration and die of old age. He's also Force sensitive, but that ability is barely trained and seems to only use it for mundane utilities since he doesn't want devotion to the Jedi Order to impede his goals of getting his people into galactic civilization (and possibly future generations away from Xixixix's influence). Aside from his work with the Alliance and the Valkoran, Gahmah Raan's career was full of bizarre incidents. On Endor's forest moon, he was captured by miniature primitive creatures and had one of his eyes eaten by them while it was still connected to his brain. On Ord Mantell, he got his face bitten off by a Karkaradon after drinking too much and flirting with him (and that ended with the Karkaradon getting his tongue bitten out as well). He also claims to  have killed a sarlacc, but it's unknown if it's merely a jest to get Boba Fett's attention (other attempts at getting his attention include mocking certain aspects of Mandalorian culture, such as some of them refusing to acknowledge that there ever were pacifists in their history or exaggerating their capability of defeating Force users).

Hiriss Moraana - Witch Costume 2024
It's been a while, hasn't it?
This one's pretty self-explanatory. It's Hiriss dressed as a witch.
And per Paranormalities canon, Hiri does not have fire-based Force powers. That's Arcidus's forte.

This is my art summary for 2023.
I made a lot more pieces than I did last year, and I gained some new tools to work with near the end.

Sketch for Patcher, Besh Squad's medic.
This Nautolan is the most optimistic member of the squad. While he's a medic and foremost, he's also got some combat training, even if he isn't particularly specialized in it. One of his more unique medical tools are "bacta bombs", which while not the most effective tools for fully treating injuries, they can help out the squad in a pinch.

Continuing with the Besh Squad sketches, we have Banir Keeti, Codename: Bad Kitty (although he insists you call him the latter). This muscle-bound Cathar is the squad's heavy-weapons specialist. Despite his intimidating appearance and trigger-happy demeanor, he's got a heart of gold and a soft-spot for kids.

New character sketch. Meet Dr. Nole Breibog.
He is a scientist in the Valkoran Order and a disgraced prodigy of Machinus. After a series of accidents (from his own inventions), his only organic component is his head. He's not a villain that's meant to be taken seriously. He thinks himself a genius, but is actually a bit of a buffoon.
His design is based on an older concept for Machinus, who would later be reimagined as a droid that used to be an organic being. Him being a card-carrying mad scientist is basically a throwback to my earliest drafts of the Valkoran Empire.

Happy May the 4th Be With You!
This is a preview sketch of a character from an upcoming chapter of Star Wars: Paranormalities: Episode III.
This is Medil. They belong to an original alien species known as the Matoki. The Matoki are mechanical lifeforms that while physiologically similar, are very distinct from droids.
On a side note, I should mention that being mechanical in nature, Matoki are naturally sexless, but they can have genders. In Medil's case, they are of a non-binary gender. However, Matoki also have a very interesting way of reproducing.

Mangonk - Power Droid Supreme
This is a character design I've had on the backburner for a bit of time. I was planning on posting this yesterday as part of a semi-April Fool's joke, but it's too late for that now. This character isn't particularly important to Paranormalities' narrative. In Star Wars meme-speak, this guy's basically a Glup Shitto. Subject: "Mangonk" Model: Monster Droid (base template: GNK Power Droid) Gender Programming: Male The droid only known as Mangonk is a power droid who at some point, had an owner who installed the arms and legs of different protocol droids onto him, making him look rather bizarre. He's also been given a vocabulator that allows him to speak Galactic Basic, albeit distorted to still sound like his natural "Gonkese". Through this speech pattern, he exhibits an outlook on life that is alien to most organics, stating that life's purpose is to "supply power", and he's rather theatrical about it. This is likely a holdover of his original programming as a walking battery, and he wonders why he even has arms. In theory, he was given more human-like legs to be more mobile, but in practice, this gives him balancing problems. While having arms would also theoretically balance this out, he still has trouble getting back up when he falls over.

Ophan - False Angel
Another preview of things to come in Paranormalities.
Subject Name: Ophan
Homeworld: Muriga
Species: "Archangel"
Gender: Unknown
Affiliation: Angelic Hierarchy of Yalbdalaoth, Church of Yalbdalaoth
According to Yalbdalite scripture, Ophan is an Archangel, one of the divine generals of Yalbdalaoth. Taking on the appearance of a large, gilded sphere covered in many eyes and two flexible yet durable glowing tendrils, Ophan is said to be the eyes of Yalbdalaoth. From their many eyes, Ophan emits purifying rays of light to decimate the forces of the Thalnyaric Legion and protect Yalbdalaoth's followers, whether they be on the Church's homeworld of Muriga or proselytized offworldes.
According to those outside the Church and Legion, Ophan is not really an angel, but a Forceless construct completely covered in golden armor, and yet another tool for the Church to maintain its iron-fisted rule of Muriga via a staged forever war. What looks like their eyes are actually laser emitters, with their actual eyes being comparatively tiny.

Yalbdalite Warrior Monk - Templar of Light
Yalbdalite warrior monks are Force-sensitive warriors who serve the Church of Yalbdalaoth by fighting against the forces of the Thalnyaric Legion, better known as the Forceless Collective. They also serve as bodyguards for the Church’s priests and bishops.
While their claimed allegiances and color choices may remind some of Jedi, they are far from the ideal image of Jedi. Some who’ve been subject to the Church’s “charity” have claimed that many of the warrior monks are little more than zealous thugs in robes who have massacred entire groups of people under the pretense of being possessed by the Thalynaric Legion and carried out extra-judicial executions for supposedly defying the Church’s doctrines.

This is it: My last piece I have made using the original method of hand-drawing and editing in Paint Shop Pro. Whether it will be the last ever, I can't for sure. It's possible I may go back to it again for special occasions, but it's far too tedious (i.e. a lot of clean up from the scan) compared to drawing it with a Wacom in Clip Studio Paint when I've got so much on my plate in my adult life. I may post hand-drawn sketches, but simply not color them and merely use them as rough drafts.
In short, this may be the end of an era in regards to how I approach my craft.
And now for the bio:
Developed on the mechanical planet of Aut Matok, flight armors are one of the most complexly-engineered vehicles in the galaxy, as they can change from a flight-capable humanoid combat mech to a short-range starfighter, and can be modified to suit the role they are given.
As the Matoki are mechanical lifeforms, their flight armors are only designed to accept them as pilots. Instead of a conventional piloting interface like other walkers and starfighters, flight armors function as an extension of the Matoki's body. Several organic aliens who've tried (and failed) to conquer Aut Matok in the name of organic supremacy and tried to take this technology for themselves (rather than make their own due to perceived impracticalities in the design process of making humanoid mechs) have been crippled for life at best trying to commandeer flight armors.
Violet Leader, the head mech of the Matoki Kingdom's Violet Squadron, is the personal flight armor of the Matoki heir Medil.
