Enjins Secondary Jinki Theory

Aight, time to start off new hyperfixation with a new theory.

And this time we're looking at the resident funny loser adult, Enjin.

The theory that Enjin may have a second jinki is very possible and may be revealed soon.

Zodyl notes that having multiple jinki is a rare phenomenon, and so far in the series, we've seen only about 2 people with that: Bundus, with his many prosthetic arms, and Tamzy, with Tokushin and the Watchman book.

But later in the fight, we have Enjin do this.

It's clear that whatever Enjin was gonna use is something of a last resort. With his face looking like that, it's clear that while he doesn't want to use it, if push comes to shove, he will. So likely something he doesn't want to show or something that has negative side effects while using.

The object in question might be a secondary jinki. My personal guess is one of two: it's either his binoculars or a lighter. Lemme explain.

Binoculars:

We've seen Enjin use binoculars in two instances: when he first saw Rudo and the second when he was watching him and team child in the field trip.

The binoculars would work because the reveal wouldn't be out of nowhere. That Enjin has has item he uses prior in the manga, that later has the chance to show its a jinki as well, seeing as how it has wear and tear, it would qualify as a precious item. Since Enjin primarily uses his umbrella as a weapon, the binoculars would have to be an item that is more so a support jinki than an attack jinki, and since binoculars are used to scope out areas further than what the naked eye could see, it would fit the theme.

Lighter:

This one is a bit more of a reach but WOULD make sense in the context of Enjins behavior in the trash beast.

We've seen Enjin light cigarettes in several instances, again, when he first met Rudo and later in Canvas Town. But we don't see the actual lighter he uses.

The lighter would make sense with his current jinki: Umbreaker has the ability to create strong wind currents, combined with a lighter jinki, it could create essentially a massive wildfire. But, as a result, the combination of that would also hurt people in the nearby vicinity and burn trash, which could cause massive amounts of toxic fumes. On top of that, since a lighter would require something to burn, he'd either have to use cigarettes as a way of manipulating fire via smoke inhaling and breathing OR he would have to set the target on fire via other dangerous means.

But if Enjin already has a secondary jinki, why hide it? Probably numerous reasons:

1. Most personal jinki that aren't Watchmen series that we've seen have their users' names labelled on them. We know Enjin hates his old name, so the jinki in question may have his old name written on it, unlike Umbreaker which has his current name.

2. A hidden trump card. We've seen that Tamzy and Bundus originally hid that they have multiple jinki, likely to give them an advantage against enemies or to manipulate the sotuation behind the scene while having an alibi of "my jinki can't do that, so it wasn't me".

3. Strain. We don't know what kind of strain is put on users of multiple jinki. Tamzy may be a special case similar to Zodyl, Amo and Rudo who can handle the watchmen, but Bundus is old at the age of FOURTY, so whether the life expectancy in abyss is shorter or the strain of several jinki takes a physical toll on the user, hence why there's so few of them. Enjin might be avoiding using a secondary because it could harm his health, which as a team leader and a cleaner wouldn't be ideal as we've seen that Cleaners go almost on daily missions.

4. Promise. Enjins jinki is probably connected with his past and a promise he made with a person. I'd suspect that his promise was something similar to the lines of "Don't relapse into your old habits of being an awful person". Enjin probably used the previous jinki prior to having Umbreaker, and has likely held off on using it out of a personal promise of not going back to being how he was (Trashy Bastard Enjin Backstory When).

Where would he use it? Easy. Against Tamzy.

We've SEEN Enjin be in fights with trash beasts, but Urana has been keeping Enjin OUT of fights with people/givers as the opponents.

Jabber? Interrupted by Cthoni.

Amo? Knocked out and sleeping on the job, only stealing away her boots at the end.

Fu? Clearly not bothering with his ass.

Jabber again? He's in the front of the car handling trash beasts.

Zodyl? He sucks at long range and but has to focus on defending against his attack.

It's clear Urana is either showing Enjin sucks at fighting people (unlikely) or she's purposefully hiding him fighting other givers for... something.

High chance that, when Tamzy gets revealed to be a traitor, a fight is gonna break out.

But this is Tamzy we're talking about. While he DOES have ropes/string as his long range weapon which Enjin and Riyo could cut, he's still got a severely good jinki in long range. On top of that, Tamzy has been with the givers long enough to know their fighting styles. They'd need something he doesn't know to get the jump on him.

I also want to focus on the Amo fight. In it, five people weren't affected by Amo's jinki: Tamzy, Zanka, Tomme, Gris and Enjin. Which means the happy memories they had weren't used against them/don't give any look into their backstories. Zanka's backstory got revealed later, and we're already shown that Tamzy is... likely pretty fucked up and his "dear person" who he would've defended would've been Rudo, which was recently revealed.

All that's left is Enjin, and the fight might be a way to introduce his backstory/some foreshadowing, as well as show who the person who he had made a promise with is. Like some small flashback of them while Enjin reluctantly has to use it. It would be so zesty. And the chapter where Tamzy is looking at him, makes you wonder whether he's considering if he's weak enough or not to be used as the next scapegoat.

Plus, there would be some heightened drama of Enjin vs Tamzy being a foil fight: dual jinki users, one gotten through murder and the other gotten through a promise of becoming a better person. There have been theories as to who Tamzy would target, and so far the possibilities are split between Enjin and Amo.

Nothing but darkness. As I looked down at the Abyss, I couldn't help but wonder.

"Is this all there is?"

Many people have been thrown down there due to the crimes they have committed. I left my position and walked along the edge of the sphere, kicking rocks down.

"Where do they go?"

As I got bored of looking, I went back to the slums. There was chatter in the area of a 'trash vandal', someone who takes the trash out of the waste collection site and places it all over the town.

I caressed my chin, "who could it be?" as I mumbled the words, a boy ran passed me. He looked like a mess, but you know that mess.

"Rudo!" You called out, hoping to get there attention, but they just kept running. "Where's he going? And what was he carrying?"

Wanting to say hi, you followed in the direction the boy went.

You found him seated in front of a house. You heard chatter from elsewhere, hearing annoyance in their voices as they complained of the boy's earlier activities. Wanting to cheer him up, you tried walking up to him, but someone else beat you to it.

It was Chiwa. You decided to lay back and see how things turned out.

As time passed, he tried to pass something to her. It had long ears... a rabbit perhaps. Yet, he failed as she was called away by her mother.

You analyzed the the object more, it was a stuffed animal, a stuffed rabbit.

"That's cute." You spoke out.

Rudo looked over to you with a blank expression on his face.

"Ha, you look just like the toy right now."

Rudo remained silent.

"So..., um..."

Rudo shot upward, balancing himself on his two feet. "I couldn't give it to her." He said, sounding sad.

"It not your fault, she had to go, try again." You encouraged. "Give this to her, build a scene where everything is dramatized, lean in and ki-!"

"SHUD-UP! YOU SOUND LIKE REGTO!" He yelled.

"I'm only trying to help. C'mon, you know you want too~." You teased, poking your cheeks.

Rudo scoffed, folding his arms with his head and body facing the other way. He held the toy in his hand. You took a closer look. The rabbit looks like it was freshly bought in a store.

"Wow, it looks amazing. You made it look brand new." You complimented.

Rudo tilted his head to you, who was looking at the toy. "Do you think she'll like it, (name)?"

"Of course she would. I can't help but gush over its cuteness. I wish I had one." You answered. You looked up to Rudo who had a huge, disturbing grin o  his face.

"Ah..."

"..."

"You need to work on that smile of yours, big time."

A day had passed since you saw Rudo. You wondered if he ended up giving the toy to Chiwa.

Skipping along the slums, you noticed a huge crowd forming at the cliff where they drop criminals. You stopped Skipping and ran to the area. On the way you saw Chiwa who was rushing there too, holding the stuffed toy.

Moments later, you made it to the drop site. Shock tore through your face as you saw who it was.

It was Rudo.

Gossip arrosed in the crowd, speaking of how they knew it, it was only a matter of time, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

What had he done?

"Rudo..." Your voice quivered.

The crime was an announced. He committed murder.

Who-?! Not Rudo. He would never.

You saw Rudo look around in the crowd. He stopped at you for a second and moved onto someone else, that person was Chiwa.

He called put to her. Asking her for help to find who had murdered Regto. He was left with disappointment when she ignored his claims, speaking of how he's the so of a murderer.

You looked over to the stuffed toy, which had been dropped to the ground.

Rudo looked defeated. As people chanted for his fall, his face darkened. He gave a faint laugh before hardening his face.

"You're the filthy ones."

They dropped him, Rudo yelled, screaming he'll kill everyone.

You rested you hand on your neck, gently squeezing it.

"Even me..?" You whispered.

As the crowd slowly dispersed, the toy made its appearance. You ran to it, picking it up and dusting it off. Tears welled up in your eyes.

"Rudo would never.." You cried.

You looked at the Abyss, wondering about what you felt earlier.

"Is this all there is?"

You clutched the toy in your hand. Looking at its button eyes.

"Rudo fixed you.., he cherished you... I won't let you go to waste." You declared walking back to your home.

"I'll miss your smile.."

It'd be so funny if for like the next chapters of Gachiakuta was Fuu trying to go unnoticed while stalking the kids but failing MISERABLY but by some miracle from god Rudos' group didn't notice him so Enjin and the other guy (forgot his name) are just like: How tf is this kid not CAUGHT YET??
