Lamborghini Squadra Corse recently announced their 2024 Young Driver Programs

Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the renowned racing division of Automobili Lamborghini, has revealed its lineup for the highly anticipated 2024 Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Programs. This year, 28 talented drivers join the Super Trofeo ranks, accompanied by 9 promising drivers in the GT3 category. Selected from a competitive pool, these 37 drivers will undergo rigorous evaluation throughout the season.

Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Programs

The Super Trofeo Junior Driver Program caters to drivers aged 25 and under competing in regional Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships across Europe, North America, and Asia. Meanwhile, the GT3 Junior Drivers Program focuses on participants steering the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 globally.

Among the Super Trofeo Junior drivers, 20 hail from the European series, while North America contributes 5 and Asia 3. Notably, French driver Loris Cabirou stands out with his participation in both the European and North American circuits, showcasing the international appeal of Lamborghini Super Trofeo. The Junior Driver Program boasts a diverse representation of 16 nationalities, while the GT3 Junior roster features drivers from five countries.

Assessment and Future Prospects

Following meticulous assessment criteria encompassing performance metrics, progression, consistency, professionalism, technical acumen, and attitude, standout drivers will advance to a decisive shootout. This showdown, held annually after the Lamborghini World Finals at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, determines the winners of the Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Driver Programs. Winners earn coveted factory support from Squadra Corse for the upcoming 2025 season, ensuring a pivotal career boost.

Past Achievements and Promising Prospects

In the previous season, Ugo de Wilde and Marzio Moretti, Super Trofeo Junior laureates, have transitioned to GT3, competing in prestigious events like the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and International GT Open. Similarly, Loris Spinelli secured his spot as a Lamborghini Factory Driver after winning the GT3 Junior shootout.

The expanded GT3 Junior roster for 2024 includes notable talents such as German drivers Simon Connor Primm and Luca Engstler, alongside Italian GT Championship contenders Jacopo Guidetti, Riccardo Cazzaniga, and Gilles Stadsbader. Completing the lineup are Artem Petrov, a teammate of Moretti in GT Open, and Antoine Doquin, a driver in GTWC Europe Bronze Cup.

Young Professional Drivers and Skill Development

Four drivers have been named Lamborghini Squadra Corse Young Professional Drivers: Danny Formal, a double Super Trofeo North America champion and IMSA GTD competitor; Maximilian Paul, a DTM race winner; Yuki Nemoto, who excels in GTWC Asia; and Mattia Michelotto, a race winner in the Italian GT Championship and podium finisher at Spa 24 Hours. These drivers represent the pinnacle of Lamborghini's commitment to nurturing talent in GT and sportscar racing.

Training and Development

The Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Programs provide comprehensive training, including media management and on-track instruction, designed to enhance technical skills and physical conditioning. This development occurs at Lamborghini’s state-of-the-art gym facilities in Sant’Agata Bolognese, reinforcing a holistic approach to driver preparation.

Instructor Appointments

Further illustrating the program's success, several former participants have been appointed as official Lamborghini instructors. Baptiste Moulin, Marcus Påverud, Oliver Söderström, and Pierre Louis Chovet join esteemed instructors Jonathan Ceccotto and Alberto Di Folco, underscoring their professional prowess beyond competitive racing.

Partnership with Macron

O piloto da Stock Car Pro Series trabalha para disputar campeonato de endurance com carros da Mercedes, da Audi ou da Ferrari  Jornalista responsável: Charles Marzanasco Filho Bruno Baptista saiu das corridas da Stock Car Pro Series disputadas ontem, domingo, 24, no Autódromo do Velocitta, em Mogi Guaçu (SP), direto da pista para o Aeroporto Internacional de Cumbica,de onde partiu rumo à Espanha, para, nesta semana, realizar o primeiro de três testes visando correr na Europa em 2022. Dois testes serão com equipes que correm no Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup (GTWC Europe Endurance), campeonato de endurance com cinco provas, das quais a principal é a histórica 24 Horas de Spa-Francorchamps, na Bélgica, disputado com carros com a especificação FIA GT3.  Uma é a Madpanda Motorsport, cujo Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo o piloto brasileiro irá acelerar no dia 27, no Circuito da Catalunha, em Barcelona. É reconhecida como a melhor equipe da marca alemã da atualidade na categoria Silver, protagonizada por pilotos que, como ele, ficam entre os participantes dos níveis Gold e Bronze registrados na FIA (Federação Internacional de Automobilismo).   Espanhola com proprietário argentino, a Madpanda é campeã de 2020 da Silver Cup do GTWC Europe Endurance e venceu as 24 Horas de Spa-Francorchamps de 2021. A outra é a belga Team WRT, principal equipe oficial da Audi no mundo, campeã da GT3 em 2021, que, em agosto passado, estreou com vitória na categoria LMP2 nas 24 Horas de Le Mans, e também é a campeã do European Le Mans Series (ELMS) e do GT World Challenge Sprint (série de corridas de uma hora) deste ano.   No dia 3 de novembro, Bruno Baptista irá testar com o Audi R8 LMS Evo da WRT no circuito Paul Ricard, na França.
