"Ah Hail" is a hard synþ song meant to replicate ðe feeling of being inside a hail storm! I find it great for dancing to, and it is heavy on ðe base, so be ðis song benefits alot from headphones.

2. "Bongo Bronchitis" pairs a very rhyðmic bongo beat wiþ bouncy synþs to give ðe feeling of coughing fits and heavy breaðing! Ðis song is course and bouncy, which makes it great travel music!

3. "Cyan Whirlpool" is a disco beat. Disco, but underwater. Caution, ðere are whales.

4. "Dewy Hills" A softer chill beat, meant to replicate ðe feeling of waking up early and walking outside, smelling ðe waking world around you.

5. "Good Morning" I will be honest, ðis one is just a really good song to wake up to. 5 stars.

6. "Left Adrift" Ðis song takes place in space! Experience ðe þrill of 0 Gs while safely crying in your bed! Warning, ðis song is very spacey.

7. "Petrichor" You know ðis one, it's amazing, 10/10 on a rainy day, top 5 songs we've ever made.

8. "Yogurt And Marshmallows" I cannot speak for how ðis combo would taste, but ðe song is certainly a bop. Short but very fun and correctly described by it's title.

9. "You Have To Reach For It" is a later addition to ðe album, and I would say ðe album is all ðe better for it. It features a very large array of synþs, and a lot of cameos from songs across boþ of our albums!

10. "Þeme Of Ðe Dreamscape" is not only ðe last song in ðe lineup, but also is in my opinion ðe best representation of our music style!

My YouTube comment reposted - mental illness, schizospec, psychosis, ADHD, distrust of doctors, rage/anger vent, loss of childhood, drug use

I was diagnosed with emotional behavioral disorder NOS and ADHD at 4, depression at 10, schizophrenia at 14, changed to schizoaffective bipolar and PTSD at 15. Here's my (and my family's) story.

Before any of my immediate family was born, my paternal great grandpa was... "Quirky", aka delusional and had hallucinations, and my great grandma refused to get him help, because it meant institutionalization or lobotomy. She never told her kids (my paternal grandpa) about it, they simply divorced when the kids were old enough to work. This is still all I will ever know about my great grandpa. My grandpa had his first psychotic break in his 20s or 30s (all I know is my grandma saying he's been insane for a long time, which is why she divorced him) and hid it well enough until his 50s where he was institutionalized and diagnosed "early onset dementia without Alzheimer's features" or something along those lines, he used to call my dad up all the time talking about the mafia and how my mother was poisoning him. My father had his first break in his 20s as well after the birth of my older brother and the death of his brother, but he didn't get treatment until his 30s well after my mother divorced him when I was 3. For a long time I didn't know a single thing about him besides what my mother told me, "he's abusive, he's evil, he's crazy, he's a terrible person" (my mother got diagnosed with BPD recently, so I don't even know if those were lies or not), but one thing she did teach us was that he was schizophrenic.

And then there's me. I was a shy kid, never trusted anybody, didn't play, didn't socialize, took a long time to start speaking, and... Held a very negative view of schizophrenia all the way until I was diagnosed. I was put on ADHD meds at 4, 20mg of adderall, the same age I was diagnosed. I began hallucinating full visible dead and bleeding people because of them and I had paranoia of being followed and watched. My mother did warn the psychiatrist that schizophrenia ran in the family, but my psychiatrist just raised the dose higher, this time 30mg of Ritalin, and put me on risperidone, 5mg... I hallucinated even worse, had crying fits from the delusions, but I was completely and utterly zombified. Why was I zombified on "such a low/starter dose"? Because I was a maybe 60lb F O U R (4) year old. Since the hallucinations and delusions didn't stop, and my mother insisting that I had schizophrenia, the doctor ensured my mother "children can't have schizophrenia" and diagnosed me emotional behavioral disorder NOS, switched me to Vyvanse at 25mg, and switched my risperidone to a common antidepressant I can't remember the name of (Prozac?). Of course, I was perfectly happy then, absolutely off the walls running around, wandering around, all that, so the SCHOOL system said they were going to call CPS because they didn't believe my parents were giving me my medications... Which meant they were the ones dishing out my medications to me and I missed the doses I was supposed to take before bed.

Thankfully, we ended up moving when I turned 10, and the new school never threatened CPS or demanded proof I'm taking my meds, so on my own account, I quit my own meds. I went unmedicated aside from taking a different antidepressant (genuinely can't begin to guess the name) around 12-13. I completely forgot I had any mental illness other than obviously having attention problems, fidgeting more than everyone else, severe anxiety that I thought was normal, and frequent nightmares and bedwetting, and a lack of awareness that I didn't fit in with others (mostly because I didn't have the urge to socialize with anyone). Then... the teenage years hit. My brother was experimenting with dr*gs, weed, LSD, computer duster, m*th, all of the dr*gs that were said to be bad in dare, and I did them too. We got past computer duster and weed, my brother got into worse drugs, new years swung around at 14 and they had some "high quality acid" that turned out to be NBOME, or fake bitter acid that makes even the most mentally stable freak out.

New years 2015, I was 14 years old, we took the fake acid, all 6 of us. People became manifestations of my mental illness, my brother was ADHD, his friends sister was depression, his best friend was anxiety, his best friends gf was PTSD... And his friend was schizophrenia. I was only diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. The TV was talking to me, the music was about me, the universe was going to collapse if I made the wrong move. Sure, a bad trip is a bad trip, but the bad trip didn't end after 12, 24, 48 hours, a week, 2 weeks, a month, 5 months, a year, 2 years, 4 years. 4 years is what it took to START recovering, dozens of different combinations of meds, 20 hospitalizations, 4 different hospitals, 3 different states, countless amounts of doctors, and 3, going on 4, disability applications. From 10th to 12th grade, I missed an average of 100 days per year, had a 0.0gpa, and just barely graduated through GED while experiencing active psychosis

What could've been diagnosed at age 4, what I could've been properly medicated for, what didn't take a genius to figure out. 14 to roughly 18 were all a delusional mess, I'm 23 now. I still act like a 14 year old because... I'm still there. I should still be a kid.

• he always has his bluetooth off because he’s scared it will randomly connect to anything, anywhere

Fairlight CMI: The Invention of Modern Sound

In December of 1975 two people in their 20s, Kim Ryrie and Peter Vogel decided to change music forever, forming a home-based company called Fairlight. In their teenage years, both were incredibly interested in electronics, which led to them later developing a revolutionary piece of equipment, the digital synth to rule them all -- Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument or CMI for short.

In 1979, Fairlight set the direction of music development, developing features that are still used in modern music. CMI was the first-ever musical instrument with a sampling feature, of course, one could say there was the Mellotron, which used samples recorded on tape, but you couldn’t really use your own samples without significantly modifying the instrument, potentially damaging it in the process. Sampling, sequencing and the whole idea of a workstation as it is, goes to Fairlight. Who knows what direction music would go without their genius inventions?

Let's compare the modern home music studio with a CMI setup.

Looks very similar, doesn't it? Same two keyboards and PC. With the exception being that CMI had an actual "touch screen" feature. The pen attached to the monitor could be used to navigate its graphical interface. Obviously, the modern setup is much more compact compared to the bulky grey-coloured behemoth that is CMI. But what really is important is that the concept is still the same.

After the groundbreaking invention of CMI, every company tried to outdo each other by creating more compact gear. That's how we got Roland's Juno-60 or Yamaha GS-1. All these early digital synths were kinda pricey, ranging from $4,500 (Juno-60) to a whopping $76,000 (CMI) in today's money.

Today's technological progress has made well-made music equipment more accessible than ever, enabling more people to easily produce music in the comfort of their homes. It's crazy to think, that all the developments we have today were started at home by two Australian guys in their 20s.

When I initially read the request asking for this to be covered (reminder - google form is on the pinned post!), I noticed something really interesting in the note the requestee attached. mlp racism anthem (comix zone arrange), as you may note by the initial acronym in the title, is a rip based on a joke from the My Little Pony franchise - and the requestee noted that the franchise had seen surprisingly little coverage on this blog despite being such a big part of the channel. And yeah: to my knowledge Determination is Magic is still the only directly MLP-related rip to be featured on the blog, with Field of Love and Cringe and SING A SONG ABOUT HOPES AND DREAMS as...edgecases, I guess. But it wasn't until I got this request that I started thinking...yeah, MLP HAS been a pretty big part of SiIvaGunner since its beginning, hasn't it?

Thing is, though, back in the early days of the channel, it always felt to me as if the MLP-posting was sort of...not meant to be taken seriously - to be taken as part of "cringe culture" rather than as actual appreciation of the show. The example that always sticks out to me is JoJo Wrap Up (My Little JoJo: Friendship is Manly), an early Season 2 rip that presents itself as a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure rip before bait-and-switching to a mashup of one of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's many cheerful, peppy, "cringe" songs. Given that the time around 2016/early 2017 was effectively the very peak of cringe culture, you can imagine for yourself what the outcome was - it became the third-most disliked video on the entire channel, with comments filled with salt from fans of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cursing the very idea of combining their favorite franchise with MLP. Combined with the fact that JoJo fans were already getting plenty messed with intentionally by the SiIva team back in the day, as I covered in Hen'yoku no Piraman, and you get a pretty prominent example of the typical way MLP was treated back in early SiIvaGunner. A popular, cringe and gay kids show, and therefor prime material for trolling and nothing more.

As the years went on, as the team matured (and those who failed to were kicked off), and as the internet landscape as a whole changed for the better - you got the sense that My Little Pony was gradually becoming more of a sincere household name on the channel. Sure, its presence wasn't all *too* much higher than it had been in the past, but the act of using the show for trolling or intentionally-bad rips had all but ceased entirely overtime - which is, of course, how we got excellent rips like Determination is Magic. More than that, though - we in the audience were slowly made to realize that the SiIvaGunner team had several people on it who were far bigger fans of the show than we'd ever been led to believe.

Because sure, ripping the Friendship is Magic intro theme, ripping Winter Wrap-Up, sampling the show's most memetic clips in YTPMVs - that's all well and good. But mlp racism anthem (comix zone arrange) is something else entirely - an arrangement of one of the SEVERAL songs featured in the My Little Pony: A New Generation movie, which released just *three days* prior to the rip itself. There's not a hint of irony in sight, no popular song that Danger, Danger seeks to "ruin", and it isn't even using a song that's particularly popular within the nostalgic part of MLP's fandom. Much like the rip 88811, one that remains an all-time favorite for me, mlp racism anthem (comix zone arrange) is nothing more but a killer Genesis arrangement of a fantastic song. Part of the appeal of Danger, Danger in the A New Generation movie to begin with is that, it's the sole hard-rocking track of its kind in a movie otherwise filled with pop and cheer (the "racism anthem" of the title is referring to how Danger, Danger is the movie's villain song). Which in turn makes it a perfect fit for the soundscape of Comix Zone - there's nothing the Genesis does quite so well as rendering the sound of shredding guitars, and KnightOfGames utilizes it to absolutely fantastic effect here.

I'll likely be covering a good few more rips using the My Little Pony franchise in the future, and I'm really glad this submission alone reminded me of just how prevalent the series really is on the channel nowadays. With those bitter, cynical years far behind us, SiIvaGunner is able to stand proud, with full sincerity, as a celebration of ALL parts of internet pop culture - the concept of "cringe" be damned!

Hakuoki SSL Hakuo Gakuen Story Vol 4. Kazama·Sannan·Yamazaki-hen

I meant to work on this earlier... but my eyes have been acting up since the 23rd (only got really bad the following Tuesday). Not sure if it was allergies or just a a reaction to wildfire smoke, but I had a hard time keeping my eyes open without rubbing them, and I looked like I had been hit in the face because of how red the area around my eyes got.

Anyway, huzzah for pharmacists being able to prescribe medications in Ontario since the prescription I was given seems to have worked. Saved me a trip to the doctor... which would have taken longer to arrange since the one I go to doesn't work over the Canada Day long weekend.

In any case, this story was originally published in 電撃GS杂志2014年6月号... and is probably the most ridiculous because it involves Kazama.

"So that's how it is… it turns out that you've paid that much attention to her. You really are worthy of being the student council president."

"No, I didn't do that because I'm the student council president. It's because she's my wife. I must personally nurture/raise her myself."

Wife, is it. What this means, can you tell me about it?"

"It's better to let the faculty know… than I shall be merciful and tell you."

"Yes, I'd like to hear more."

"We in the Kazama family have a family rule, that the head of the household must find their marriage partner and companion in life during their time in high school. This family rule means that the people who accompany you during this short and dazzling high school life will always be imprinted on your heart. Although I think this sort of old-fashioned and outdated family rule is very ridiculous… after graduating from university however, I was strongly demanded by the family to meet this condition to become the heir of the Kazama family. Therefore, I've returned to high school."

"Th-That sort of reason… but, this is an all-boys school, right?"

"Exactly why did you come here? With your qualifications, you should be able to easily pick your choice of high school right?"

"Oh. That's because I heard that Hijikata became a high shcool teacher. I wanted to see how he taught people, so I came here. I didn't think that this school was actually an all boys school, which exceeded my estimations… but that's a trivial matter. With the help of my Kazama family, this school has finally become co-ed."

"Could it be… the reason Hakuo Gakuen became co-ed was for Kazama-senpai's wife?"

"Of course."

"Kazama-kun, it's not good to tell lies. This school already had a plan for becoming co-ed, correct?"

"Really? But, wasn't it Hijiikata who said that the school did not need female students, which was why that plan couldn't be implemented?"

"Hijikata-kun is all about achieving Kondou-sensei's educational policy, so that might be why you thought that."

"However, the school has finally become co-ed, with the enrollment of a female student that was recognized by Hijikata. I thought she was just a brainless female student who was full of longing for samurai.. It appears that Hijikata's insight isn't that bad."

"It seems that you admire Yukimura-kun quite a lot."

"Hm. Take a look, from her adorable features, her imposing appearance can faintly be discerned. From her demure and elegant attitude, isn't her admiration and reverence for me, overflowing?" [I think? Kazama is harder to translate half the time because of his flowery language and ore-sama attitude...]

"No, it's quite the opposite. It was because I chose her, and it just so happens that her lineage met the requirements. If you go down to the woods today

2008 saw the removal of the iconic Corkscrew to make way for the sixth secret weapon ride. 2009 saw the construction of the secret weapon and 2010 saw its opening. Said to be the world's scariest roller coaster, TH13TEEN had the potential to be a great addition to the park. That was until the marketing came.

TH13TEEN is an Intamin manufactured, multidimensional coaster, featuring a first of its kind element towards the middle of the experience. The world's first free fall drop track. The drop itself is at 5 metres and pulls Gs of 3.2.

Earlier, I mentioned the marketing of the ride and when I say it worked, I mean it worked. It worked so well that it was a major failure. The ride was massively overhyped during its marketing period. It was said to be a “Psycoaster” and “One of the scariest rides experiences ever”. In fact, there were two adverts released for it, one that was allowed to be shown before the 9 pm watershed and one that was shown after. It was even rumoured that under 16s wouldn't be allowed to ride, and that a waiver of liability would need to be signed. This of course was a marketing ploy to hype up the rollercoaster.

After the marketing of TH13TEEN, riders were left disappointed and we're expecting more. This doesn't take away from the fact that it's a good family ride that offers great experiences and a break from the big thrills of the park.

LAST YEAR

"Stop!" A tall man yelled as he ran to me. He then starts to hurt them, but one of the men who had me had a gun.

The gun blasted off, and i woke up.. I looked at the clock. "shit" I rushed to go to school. At school, I felt my best friend, Seo walked up to me. "Did you do the homework?"

"of course, why wouldn't i?" I chuckled lightly. "Hey, also did you hear that a new student is coming?" I rolled my eyes and said "ok?, how is that surprising?"

I don't really like having a big friend group. I'm kind of introverted, so.. yea. Later I was in class when my teacher Mr. Eiffel said there's a new student coming.

A tall, cold face man entered the class.. his eyes looked like pure gold.. its like no one had the kind of eye color. He took a seat behind me.

When school was over, he was the first one to go home.. seems suspicious, right? Seo asked me what he looked like. I explained his features to her. "He seems handsome, y/n."

weeks later, we had a project in art class. "Hmmm, let me see. Seo goes to Jake, Haewon goes to Hyunjin, and Jungwon goes to y/n." I was shocked that I was going to be working with the new student.

"You all will be working on the project at your homes." I took a deep breathe and asked him "uh.. hi! uhm so now that we're partners for the project uhmm-" he cut my words and said "were working by my place.." he had a deep voice that can kill anyone. We going by his house to do the project. I felt nervous to say something.

We were by his house.. I opened the car door and walked behind him. As Jungwon opened the door to his house, I saw his whole family by the door. I was scared. "here's my room." Jungwon said in a cold voice..

while we were working, I couldn't help but look at his eyes. It was just so golden, and I bet 1% of people have those eyes, and that's him. "What are you looking at?" Jungwon asked me. "You look just like a person I saw in my dream.." I tried to touch his skin, but he moved my hand away. "Don't touch me.." "im sorry"

I couldn't stop thinking about him. It's like he was appearing in my dreams alot..

I started coming to school with reddish eyes.. some people say im on dr*gs but I'm not. Jungwon noticed how I was and came up to me.. "are you ok?.." he asked. "Y-yeah, I'm go-good." I didn't want him to know that I was dreaming about him. "C'mon, you don't have to lie." "No, I'm not lying.." trying to get him to believe me with my lie. he gave me a death stare look. I trimble at the deadness in his eyes.. he left without saying anything.

For the pass few weeks Jungwon and I were talking. I couldn't believe it. His cold look couldn't stop from talking to me. Jungwon asked me if I wanted to go on a car ride with him. I said yes, why not? He picked me up in a black jacket and black pants. "Hey.. "Hi.. " he opened the car door for me. i was shocked.. while we were on the drive, he asked me what I like to do for fun. "Hmm I like drawing, texting friends." What do you like to do? He took a while to answer. " I don't really do anything, really."

"You've been acting weird.." "what do you mean?" looking confused. "Like- your eyes.. in the morning is gold, and in the night, it's red.. like now." "also your very pale.."

Jungwon sighed. "Well.. I'm a vampire.." I started to freak out. "No, please don't get me wrong, I'm not attracted to blood." "Your l-lying." I didn't believe him.. "I'm gonna cut myself, pass me some sharp!" "No-No you don't need to-." I cut my finger to see if Jungwon would do anything... apparently, he did nothing...

Jungwon told me not to do it, but I wanted to save him so he cannot get hurt anymore, so I gave it to the man.. "You can go." I grabbed Jungwon's hand and rushed him into the hospital.

Several hours later, he opened his eyes. "Lilia?" I was happy that he woke up. "Jungwon, I'm sorry for giving that man the necklace because -" he cutted my words and said, "It's ok.. I understand that you wanted me to not get hurt" Jungwon took my hand placed it on his leg.

yeah i’ve been a fan on/off of theirs since 2013, and per usual just when i’m starting to get back into them matty healy annoys me and turns me off again lmfao like clockwork

but, their initial hype was enraptured with the 2013-2014 tumblr era. that’s when they began gaining momentum. like most bands/artists of the tumblr era (such as arctic monkeys, the neighborhood, lana del rey, halsey, marina & the diamonds etc.) they had a very distinct silhouette and aesthetic which drew in the tumblr crowd which featured creatives, young people, hipsters of the time blah blah. their leather jackets/fashion, black & white minimalism, very sleek branding, lyrical content, brash yet romanticized stage show, dark wave content etc. was strong parts of who the 1975 was when many people first stumbled upon them. they also took a lot from the new wave era musically and appearance-wise. they were one of the main bands that helped bring back the resurgence of eighties synth wave, so their music although broody was fun and refreshing and experimental during that time. this was only amplified as they ventured into their “i like it when you sleep” album.

they were also liked due to their “who gives a fuck” attitude when it came to criticism especially from the media and music journalism over their sound. in their music video for “The Sound” (which i still consider one of my fav music videos to this day), it features very blatant commentary on the music business, being put into a glass box as an artist and gawked at or observed/criticized, the pressures of conformity and branding, and near the end it has a montage of quotes that have been said by different media/music outlets that are negative about them as people (mainly matty lol) or the band’s music. so it was refreshing to see a band be so unapologetic about who they were and the music they created.

then of course we have the matty healy™️ syndrome which was the fact that he was a Tumblr IT boy. he fit that dark, broody, waxing poetic, artsy boy in the philosophy section of a bookstore, lips stained with red wine, hopeless romantic type that had everyone in a chokehold lol he was a “bad boy” but with a “soft boy” edge and that was all he needed to be. he also had a brain with wrinkles and said smart things sometimes (which still rings true) even though that brain also said stupid, raging, insensitive word vomit most times (which again still rings true lmao). and then we had his and halsey’s fling/relationship which was a moment™️ for so many people (me included fkfkfk) but yeah matty healy and the 1975’s hype was a product of the time they grew from. and also a lot of their music kicks ass unfortunately so that held its own footing over the years even though i hadn’t personally liked a full length album of theirs since 2016 until their record last year.

but in present time, matty healy’s ego is even more inflated than it’s been in a long time bc of the album’s success and he just says whatever shit he wants bc he made that good point about m&gs and has tiktok and twitter clout so he thinks people want to hear his fungus spore opinions or want to be kissed at his concerts when in actuality he’s just a nepo baby riding this reawakened exposure high who can be a raging asshole more times than not lmao

Okay, here's the map of Loonatics HQ on planet Blanc that I'm using for my Magnetic Attraction series:

As you can see, I used a lot of abbreviations, 1 because I wasn't actually planning on showing anyone this, and 2 because writing letters with a mouse in MS Paint is hard. I'll go over what they are but it's going under the cut so I don't flood people's dashes.

-Northwest corner:

QR: Quiet Room. A completely soundproofed room for meditation, concentration, and relaxation. Frequented most by Ace and Lexi.

PD: Patio Door.

GR: Gaming Room. A large space filled with many fun things to do. In the center is a circular table perfect for board games that is rarely used thanks to every member of the team being too competitive to play them without causing wanton destruction.

LR: Living Room. A more preferable area for movie marathons and gaming sessions than the lounge thanks to it being away from major walking areas.

DR: Dining Room. Mostly used for special occasions as everyone on the team prefers to eat in the living room or lounge.

K: Kitchen. Frequented most by Slam.

DS: Dry Storage. Where dry food is stored in bulk.

F (light blue): Walk in Freezer. Where frozen food is stored in bulk.

F (azure blue): Walk in Fridge. ...You get it.

SC: Storage Closet. Filled with various supplies somewhat relevant to the west wing of the base.

CE: Courtyard Entrance/Exit.

P: Pool. A decently sized swimming pool. Frequented most (and never cleaned) by Duck.

CR: Changing Room. Place to change in and out of swimsuits with privacy.

LR: Laundry Room.

FE: Front Entrance/Exit.

-Central area and courtyard:

St: Storage. For supplies relevant to the entire base.

S: Stairs. Leads to the basement floors and roof.

E: Elevator. See directly above.

BE: Back Entrance/Exit. Main exit to get the the outdoor field, driving course, and running track. Tech can sometimes be found there testing any of his inventions that are too dangerous to test inside.

B: Bathroom. A bathroom in the central area that's more accessible to visitors. Soundproofed for Lexi's sake.

GS: Gadget Storage. Where all of the team's most frequently used gadgets are stored so they can be easily grabbed before missions.

ME: Main Entrance. The preferred and most scenic way to enter HQ.

L: Lounge. A simple setup with three sofas, a coffee table, and TV. The preferred place to relax and chat with other team members between missions due to it's central location and proximity to multiple exits. The TV area indents a gentle slope leading to a great view of the courtyard.

UPG: Underground Parking Garage. The entrance and exit to the parking area under the main floor.

Courtyard: In the center of the entire base is a courtyard featuring evenly trimmed grass, multiple topiary trees, and decorative fountains. Nicely paved walkways lead over the driveways leading into and out of the parking garage.

-Northeast corner:

GD: Garage Door. Exits directly from the garage onto the driving course.

G: Garage. Where Tech makes most of his vehicles and larger inventions. Has exits to the driving course, parking garage, and roof. Has a security mode that stops Duck from teleporting in and soundproofs the room to prevent Lexi from getting a migraine while Tech is working.

Lab: Tech's laboratory, complete with incomprehensible machinery, too many monitors, and a safety shower. Contains the same anti-Duck shielding and pro-Lexi soundproofing security mode as the garage. As expected, Tech practically lives there and sometimes has to be coaxed out with food and coffee.

-Southeast corner:

CE: Courtyard Entrance/Exit.

S: Stairs. Leads to the roof.

SC: Storage Closet. Filled with supplies somewhat relevant to the east wing of the base.

WR: Weight Room. Filled with plenty of weights and exercise machines to keep the team in fighting condition.

VT CR: Virtual Trainer Control Room. Room for controlling the virtual trainer.

VT: Virtual Trainer. Combat training room that uses highly advanced virtual reality technology. Definitely has never been used for at-home vacations or VR video games. Never.

FE: Front Entrance/Exit.

SH: Sparring hall. Classic sparring hall complete with training weapons and an inbuilt speaker system for playing action music.

-Not featured on the map:

Underground Parking Garage: Where the team parks their vehicles, all of which were created by Tech.

2nd basement: Basement one level under the parking garage. Not much is notable on this floor except for a storage room that's been abandoned due to the door being broken. Tech would normally fix it, but it slips his mind in favor of more important projects.

Roof: Level on top of the main floor. Mainly used by Tech for testing aerial vehicles and drones, but is sometimes used by other team members for sunbathing and stargazing.

Back Outdoor Area: The area outside the base to the north that features a driving course for testing Tech's vehicles, a running track for outdoor exercise, and an open field for outdoor activities or Tech's more dangerous experiments.

Surrounding Security Shield: A fancy high tech barrier surrounding the entire base that keeps out intruders. Looks like a normal high class fence when not actively stopping people from breaking in. The front entrance features a security check-in that purely uses remote or manually inputted codes for entry, rather than the optional facial scanners that Loonatics Tower had on Acmetropolis.

I definitely put more effort into planning out the Loonatics' Blanc HQ than I probably should've, but, whatever I guess. It was fun enough to do, and I hope literally anyone cares so this entire post wasn't a waste of time.

Still kind of conflicted on what the Pokémon anime is doing. I still feel strongly that after 20+ years, it’s too late to change the main cast of the primary anime. It’s better to just stick with Ash and Team Rocket at this stage than try to reinvent the wheel now with Liko and co.

Again I think Liko and co will be just fine, but I can’t say I feel much of an interest like I would with Digimon (and to a lesser extent Bakugan) when they have new characters. It’s actually kinda ironic that Digimon is returning to Davis and Veemon this fall, while Bakugan’s upcoming G3 incarnation features Dan and Dragonoid again, while Ash and Pikachu steps aside in favor of new leads.

I do have other concerns though. Everything about Horizons so far feels like it’s Journeys 2, only they get to ride in an airship this time. While there’s clearly more of a tangible end goal this time with the pendant and ancient PokeBall, old GS Ball and Meteoroid PTSD makes me reluctant they’ll actually pull this story off without any hitches. Journeys also had a lot of scrutiny for feeling kinda directionless, not fully taking advantage of what they could do with a globe trotting adventure, and a common complaint I’ve seen: lack of reuniting with Ash’s older friends, team rotations and just questionable writing on Goh and Chloe. In a way, it does feel like Goh and Chloe were prototypes for Roy and Liko, but it didn’t take because it never felt like they fully knew what they wanted to do with either of them. Roy in particular feels like he’s just a Goh replacement, having the lofty goal of meeting legendary Pokémon (a clearly more vague version of Goh wanting to meet Mew), and while Goh has fans, he never felt particularly well liked in my orbit… Hopefully Roy takes off better. I think this also extends to the anime having now having a bigger cast in the professor’s airship crew. Journeys struggled with its new main characters and a lot of them didn’t appear much, so what are these guys gonna go through? I like the Dranpa fisherman guy but I don’t see him being much more than an off and on quirky guest character at best as of typing.

There’s also the setting. Why are we still doing a globe trotting thing? Is this a course correction from what people felt was wrong with Journeys? Having more of a purpose than just blithely wandering around? People were upset at the lack of Galar in Journeys, but brushed it aside, but not taking place in Paldea seems to be a final straw for some. Why can’t it take place in Paldea? Is that not a requirement by the anime anymore? I can’t speak for all of us, but it seems most do want a return to a regional adventure, not a globetrotting one. It’s why I’m VERY concerned what they’ll do for the next anime three+ years later, if it’s another globe trotting story I think I might just skip that one entirely.

I’m also concerned how kids will take to the anime. I hear it’s actually hotly debated on if kids still like Pokémon, but they do. Kids still love Pokémon going by frequently checked out Pokémon books at the library and Pokémon toys and games I’ve gotten for toy drives. I don’t think kids will be too bothered by a cast switch, but there’s also the tone. This show seems to have an XYZ vibe to it. Apparently, in Japan at the time, XY and XYZ were said to have done poorly with kids, which is part of the reason why Sun & Moon went for more of a comedic theme that Japanese kids responded to better. Will that repeat itself again I wonder.

It’s why I’m convinced this is far from the end of Ash, Pikachu and Team Rocket. I legitimately hate how everyone is acting like they died… The only way to “end” their Neverending Story is just have them continue it off screen, and that’s what Mesaze did. However because of doing it this way, it also feels like a back door to bring them back, both as guest stars in Horizons and as a possible in to revive their story on the off chance Horizons doesn’t stick.

At the very least, I can see another miniseries being commissioned that stars Ash & Team Rocket doing… something while Liko’s group is doing their thing. Preferably this would be a short Paldea adventure of some sort since I’m not sure as of typing if Horizons will use anything from Scarlet and Violet aside from select Pokémon. Some friends are very concerned Horizons won’t use characters like Penny and the like, and if this is gonna be like Journeys, it … probably won’t.

Atm I’m figuring Horizons’ story will lead to the discovery of Terapagos and/or the land Kitakami. The timing of the DLC announcements and the ramping up of Horizons info all but point as this being the end goal of the Volt Tekkars. Does such a plot require three years worth of episodes? No, but Pokémon’s anime has always been about the journey not the destination, and that’s the one thing I don’t see changing here.

The absolutely hysteria and chaos surrounding the game's release, legacy, and meme infamy is just never going to go away, and there's so many legendary audio sources to take from already. There's of course the legendary Big Gay's ranting call-to-action to make us stop posting about the game, which I covered with the excellent Big Sus Chocobo, there's the hit sociopath streamer Jerma986 who still holds the title of "the Sus guy" and appears in rips like Going Somewhere Jerma?...yet perhaps most famous of all, and one I've somehow not yet covered until now - are the rips using the legendary Among Us Trap Remix. Rips like Among Drip Drop Galaxy.

Part riding the popularity of the game, part riding its slow descent into ironic shitposting, part actually catching the attention of kids who do think "Among Us Trap Remix" are the coolest series of words ever put together by man - the result is an anthem that has effectively become the theme song to the game itself. If you're deep in the internet trenches to know about SiIvaGunner, deep enough to be reading this very blog post, you KNOW about the Among Us Trap Remix, its associations with the meme of "Among Us Drip", and have likely seen dozens upon dozens of edits using the theme already.

Yet even with that said, Among Drip Drop Galaxy is such a perfect use of the meme, that it blew my mind it hadn't been made by someone else than SiIva beforehand. There's of course the name to start - the word "Drip" in "Drip Drop Galaxy" will likely never be looked at the same way again by the modern internet user due to the sudden explosion of using the term to refer to cool-looking, fashionable people or characters, once taken seriously but now wholly drenched in meme-laced irony when used. Drip Drop Galaxy, fittingly enough, also already sports a sort of ominous, haunting melody and sound, akin to the ambience and sound design of Among Us itself, and by extension the sound building the foundation to the Among Us Trap Remix. I recall I first called something a "Perfect Rip" when describing Bowser is Coming., but the sentiment absolutely applies here just as much. Myeauxyoozi leaped headfirst at an idea that feels too obvious to not have been done before, yet also just an absolutely brilliant rip idea, and executes it with his trademark love for quality applied to the absurd (remember Shaky Mountain?). The results speak for themselves.

All the pieces of Among Drip Drop Galaxy just come together so effortlessly in its 75-second runtime, from the suspenseful opening only teasing the introduction of the Among Us Trap Remix, to the pausing of the main music to allow the "beat drop" to play out as intended within silence, to having the Among Us Trap Remix lead instrument play the melody of the original song for the back half of the song - it allows the two songs to feel truly mashed together in the most seamless way possible. Althewhile, of course, my childhood discomfort with the original Drip Drop Galaxy world and its atmosphere clashes brilliantly with the comedic value that I immediately associate Among Us edits with upon first recognition.

I may, just like always, be overthinking all this, but...there's simply not many other rips on the channel that manage to make quite as much immediate sense in my head as Among Drip Drop Galaxy. Simple as it may sound, it truly does represent my idea of a perfect rip.
