it’s still wednesday for me so i decided to write a bit and post a little of what i’ve been writing. this is for the apocalypse fic! again! it is the project that has my attention rn. it’s not a lot, but it’s more than i’ve written in a week so i’m counting it as a win

Buck made his way back towards Chris, retracing his steps from memory. As he got closer, he heard a faint shout.

“Chris?” Buck called, panic surging through him as he burst into a run. What if something happened to Chris? Why did he leave the boy alone? Eddie would never forgive him if he let something happen to his son after he got this far.

“Buck?” Chris shouted, sounding afraid.

On a related note, is it just me or does Our Generation of younger actors (like people who have gotten famous between the 2010s and now) not really have anyone who does big broad comedic performances anymore, I feel like there's a real emphasis on downplayed sarcasm nowadays so anarchic comedies with wild protagonists don't really happen anymore (which is mostly just interesting that we likely will not be producing anything with Fawlty Towers energy any time soon but in the context of "I would like to remake a wild comedy that was itself a love letter to silent melodrama or else make a similar original project myself" it very much gets to OK and who would I think about casting as the incredibly hammy Most Evil Man On Earth villain with a heart of gold he desperately is trying to conceal because I can't think of anyone who has anything like that kind of energy)

Olav Kooij not picked for the Vuelta this year, it feels like he not doing well or something lately.

he was never scheduled to do the vuelta this year, though.

to be honest, visma's grand tour rosters got all sorts of messed up after their nightmare of a spring - guys who were supposed to do the giro not doing the giro but doing the tour, guys who were supposed to do the tour not doing the tour but doing the vuelta, half the team getting injured or sick between march and june, etc.

i don't think that olav not going necessarily says anything about his form - it's objectively the least sprinter-friendly of the grand tours this year and presumably their goal is gc for sepp. i was a bit surprised he didn't do wallonie this last week, but he is down for tour of poland in august, and probably/hopefully some more this fall.

i'd like to see him do the giro again next year, ideally with a full leadout (hello axel zingle and mike teunissen rumors), but we'll see.
