Signal could be the only hero of the day precisely to avoid the location of Batman/Bruce without being remarkable, plus every member of the batfam wears trackers and it wouldn't be that hard to get signal patrols to avoid bruce's zone of influence and signal needs help, the batfam has enough members other than batman now

Additionally, as signal abilities allow him to see many things like auras passively so that being in Bruce's zone of influence is immediately obvious to him and that's not to mention that the signal capabilities increased gradually but he always had the bat training for combat so that he could still operate as a signal even without his powers

Furthermore, powers that passively impact vision must make our young hero prone to overstimulation and returning to Bruce's mansion/zone of influence would be like putting on noise-canceling headphones for his meta-eyes in a way.

consider - batman doesn't allow metas in his city because he *is* a meta. and his power is cancellation of meta/magic/alien powers. literally just the human equivalent of kryptonite for everyone. he retains his status as an urban legend and doesn't join the justice league. he trains robins, and they join the titans and yj, but batman stays away.

and then one of his kids is a meta.

Hmm... How controllable is his power? Is it a constant radius based side effect (anyone within x amount of distance has their powers/abilities neutralized)? Can he turn it off?

If he can't, that would be a hell of a double-edged sword.

I do like the idea of recluse cryptid-like Batman not being a part of the JL and all of his kids befriending other superhero kids. The JL would be hella confused and concerned cause there's some Gotham vigilante children running around and they are being mentored by "the Batman."

The Watchers don't know the difference between "actually upset" and "upset for The Bit". They think they're genuinely tormenting the players but the players are actually having a lot of fun being melodramatic sillies. The Watchers are so busy eating the fake emotions of despair and grief and betrayal that Grian gets to feast on the true joy of friends playing a game. He's really struggling to contain his own glee and keep the ruse going.
