Have you watched the Haikyuu movie? Do you enjoy it? I love it !! For me, my top fav Haikyuu ships are : KageHina, IwaOi, KuroKen, & BokuAka. (And you're Iwaoi fics are my fav until now, thanks for sharing them).

Now, can I ask your thoughts, please? Iwaoi and Kuroken are childhood friends to lovers ship, what made those 2 ships different to you? What made Iwaoi more famous? Also, what do you think of Ushijima/Oikawa and Oikawa/Kageyama ships?

Since which moment that you ship Iwaoi? What are your fav Iwaoi moments?

YES I enjoyed the dumpster battle movie, the animation was so good, the story beats and sfx and kenma's POV and idk how they managed to make a volleyball rally seem like a fight to the death but my god. I wanted to eat the movie

I think iwaoi and kuroken are different in that iwaoi are very much "equally pulling on each other's hair and spitting into each other's desserts and running after each other with a worm on a stick" type of dynamic. it makes for a very turbulent and fun pairing, and adding to that, the angst that inevitably comes along due to oikawa being so passionate about vball and iwaizumi...iwaizumi being Just Good Enough to play with him until the end of highschool. add to that the angst of oikawa being recognized as The Grand King setter, while iwaizumi always seems like a footnote. ah the childhood friend, ah the grand king's first wing spiker yes—but not his best. although iwaizumi himself has never once said he felt inadequate or left behind, you just can't help but wonder, can't help but feel it yourself, this gulf that spans the point from oikawa to iwaizumi. I don't think iwaoi is more famous in the way that means they're better, I just think it shows that people like it when things hurt hahahah

kuroken I would say is like a ball of fluff, like cotton candy, easy to swallow and easy to enjoy. or no, maybe you could say they're definitely simply just childhood friends, without all the drama that oikawa brings to iwaoi HHAHA. I wouldn't call the ship bland though, because if you peel back the layers of fluff, you rmr it's not just about quiet x loud, or small x big, or gamer x hot guy, which are labels that kuroken is often find themselves in—but that actually, kuroo has such an understated comprehension of how kenma has such a killer instinct, that kenma actually can get Serious, if you manage to get him in the zone. people will tell him kenma doesn't seem to like vball much, or that kenma seems too frail or too lax or too unsuited to exertion, and kuroo will just hum and smile like, well. if kenma didn't like it, he wouldn't do it. and that easy acceptance, that unspoken understanding that kenma never even had to tell him—somehow it just gets me. sometimes easygoing ships just hit different, when they're so comfortable with each other. like how kenma will tease kuroo with a blank-face by giving him mint candy when he knows he doesnt like mint. like they're already settled in together, what more can you say about them. also kenma being younger than kuroo is kinda cute, considering how shy kuroo was when they first met.

as for ushioi and oikage, I can definitely see where fans of those ships are coming from. I mean I once read a Yamaguchi/Oikawa fic and i rmr it being surprisingly good. the sheer amount of content, conflict and drama that oikawa brings with him to any ship is just so typical of him. of course he has to bring out the best in everyone he's matched with, that's just what a good setter does. ushioi and oikage are so rife with history and bad blood and competitiveness and hurt pride, I can only imagine how so good it is to write and read about the journey they take to make it to an end where the 2 characters are together and united. sometimes the journey fraught with strife is just as delicious as the happy ending.

I can't rmr the exact moment I started shipping iwaoi, just because it was so long ago, but prbably...I think it was probably when iwaizumi stopped oikawa from going to jail by committing manslaughter on poor little tobio when they were in middle school. and then yelling at him to go home and take care of his knee. iwaizumi's palpable concern masked as anger was so...yeah, i was like damn oikawa if you don't wife that guy up, I will.

and lastly, all iwaoi scenes are my fav, just bc we get so little, but my favs have to be the "you're a partner I can be proud of" scene; the "when oikawa feels threatened, there's only one person he sets to" scene, set up by Kageyama himself; the scene where oikawa points at iwaizumi for his last ever set in highschool and then proceeds to do an insane long ass set from across the court straight to iwaizumi: and lastly, the little sketch where iwaizumi is showing oikawa a book of fish and there's one named 'oikawa', looking so pleased with himself while oikawa is just like "..."

essun (the broken earth trilogy) - it's been a while since i read the trilogy but i remember essun being such a wonderfully written but depressing character, from her childhood to her as an adult and so on. she has stuck with me ever since i finished that series a few years ago and i think about her so often 😭

gordo stevens (for all mankind) - MALEWIFE EXTRAORDINAIRE! i mean. yes he wasn't faithful in the 60s but my god was that man in love with tracy... gordo is such a funny guy but everything about him is SO sad... s2 gordo especially, the time skip showing how life has treated him but how he would still go to any lengths to get tracy back :(

Hi! I'm really enjoying your haikyuu dad stories. Can I ask for angst-to-fluff scenarios where the hq boys just recently found out they have a toddler with the reader? They broke up badly before and the reader didn't have an opportunity to tell them about their pregnancy (maybe the boys have become famous and the reader can't just contact/approach them easily).

Like the boys are so full of guilt and love at the end because he regrets not being with reader and at the same time loves the reader more now that they know they have a kid with reader.

It's kind of confusing hehehe but I love angst to fluff stories. You can pick any HQ boys as well. Thank youuuu 😊

Kenma

The years passed by quickly, before you’d known it’d been almost two years since you and Kenma had broken up leaving you to raise your son by yourself. It wasn’t really his fault when you think back on it, a few weeks after the two of you ended your relationship bitterly over the way he divided his time between you and streaming, you found out you were pregnant, but maybe it was for the best as you couldn’t handle the idea of you’re precious Yuta not getting the attention he deserved.

But when he showed up on your door step in the pouring rain looking like he’d ran here as he placed his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath, you couldn’t stop yourself from inviting him in. The reason the two of you broke up could have easily been mended, neither of you understanding how you’d let your communication get that bad before it all bubbled over.

You guide him into the living room while you grab a towel. He stares at all the baby toys scattering your living room, Yuta had just been put to bed and he wonders if what Kuroo told him was really true, had he actually left you ti raise a baby on you’re own? He’s certain you’d do an amazing job but he feels guilt begin to build up when he sees photos of you and a chubby cheeked little boy lining the walls.

“Alright I got you a towel” you come back into the living room to see him staring at all your photos before he turns back suddenly a little embarrassed.

“That’s Yuta” you tell him quietly smiling a bit as he takes the towel.

After a few moments of silence, once you’re certain he knows Yuta is his kid he opens his mouth, “Kuroo told me that you had a baby…I didn’t know…” he whispers and you can hear the tears in his voice.

“I didn’t either…by the time I’d relized it was already to late, I tried to contact you, go to your office, anything, but something would always stop me before I could.” You smile sadly.

“Do you think I could meet him? Not now, I’m sure he’s sleeping” you giggle a bit before nodding, he’d changed learned how to balance his career and life.

Oikawa

All you’re issues began to build up before overflowing over a singular arguement. What was supposed to be a happy moment where you told him you were pregnant turned into the two of you shouting at eachother, before he ran out the apartment telling you it was over.

It was quick and over. You’re certain that the arguement was because he was nervous about his career, he’d been telling you about that the night before, but that day was supposed to be a good day where you two could forget about everything else unfortunately it wasn’t. That day was filled with tears and stress on both your parts Oikawa had been stressing and seeing you sit at the kitchen table a pretty pink cake sat infront of you with some words on it only god knows what that cake said, it pissed him off, it wasn’t fair, he came home to you ever day and no matter what you’d gone through you’d still manage to be happy but he was always left overwhelmed scared and confused, he hated what he did to you and that’s why the next month he was in Argentina trying to pretend it didn’t happen.

Unfortunately for him, it did happen, he was reminded of this when Hajime called to tell him he should probably visit you as soon as possible before he hung up with no explanation.

And that’s how he found himself on your doorstep. Almost a whole year after the breakup Tooru was knocking at your door hoping you’d awnser and when you did you shut it in his face.

“Go away Oikawa” you shouted.

“Please let me in y/n” and after awhile of begging you let him inside, you don’t know what you were thinking letting him worm his way back into your life, just that he did.

When he finally got inside he saw the most precious little girl sitting on the couch, her big brown eyes glancing over to look at him as she looked away from the tv.

“Dada” she squeals as she tries to climb off the couch.

You hide your face in your hands as she runs to Oikawa hugging his leg tightly as she smiles happily.

“Hi sweetheart” he says bending down to her height as he talks with her, she babbles back and he pretends he can understand every word she’s saying.

He feels horrible for having left the two of you but he promises it’ll never happen again even if he has to go to the ends of the earth to make sure that happens.

it has powers!!!!!!!!! they're called 'abilities' and our main cast all have one and they're so so interesting bc they're inspired by the writer that the character is named after (aka fyodor's ability is 'crime and punishment')

there's a guy with a literal GOD inside of him and he can control gravity and he wears funny hats and has the most gorgeous hair of all time also his name is chuuya

dazai osamu (yes like THEE dazai osamu) is there and he's a BITCH while also being one of the most insanely intelligent characters of any media ever. he makes me want to die (affectionate)

found family!!!!! particularly from our protag atsushi bc he's an orphan that effectively gets adopted by our main cast and he has a real thing about Belonging and Family and Healing From Abuse so watching that all unfold is just <33333

the generational trauma omg i know for a FACT you of all people will like this. we have a cycle of abuse that is just so so fascinating bc you sympathise with ALL OF THEM (aside mori. he can rot) even when they themselves become the next generation of abuser and it's so complicated and ive never actually seen it illustrated so explicitely before

also speaking of generational things we also have each new generation of double black from zenki soukoku to soukoku to shin soukoku i think it's soooo compelling (basically the most powerful duo of each generation but every single time they absolutely HATE each other and are forced to figure it out and wind up knowing each other better than anyone while still sustaining a farce of mutual dislike aka everyone knows they're fucking)

You sigh as you walk from the lunchroom and into the nurse's station. Your friend looks up at you from her desk and smiles, knowing exactly what's got you down.

"How's it going, Y/N?" she teases.

"It's only lunch but I'm already tired of today," you groan as you lean over the counter in front of her computer. 

"Doctor Cheronobog giving you trouble again, is he?" 

"God, he's so annoying. Always with his perverted and sexist jokes not excluding or limited to me as a doctor," you explain to her. 

"We really should report him," she insists.

"Again? But we've already tried twice. He's a Japanese male doctor. Nobody's going to fire him or even believe either of us," you grumble.

"Man, when is a hot doctor going to come in here," she sighs. "Oh, besides you, of course," she then teases.

"Hopefully soon or else the world just might crumble around me," you laugh.

Suddenly, the doors are thrown open and a patient is rolled in on a stretcher.

"Dr. L/N!" your name is called, and you rush their way. But before you can help, you suddenly find yourself in an entirely different world.

What you were just dreaming of is the days of the past, back when your biggest worry was a shitty coworker and long days in the office. Now, you're living on your own in a world you'd hardly recognize as your past self.

Six months ago a power surge overloaded the circuits all across your home country of Japan. Electricity went completely out and because of that, criminals from prisons all over the country escaped their cells. 

It was only a matter of time until the government collapsed and those who could afford it, fled the country. Being a doctor, you could have, too, but the strong urge to stay and protect those who could not, really tugged at your heart. 

Your makeshift office in a school bus has become somewhat well known in the small town you made base at, but you're wary not to become too famous and risk your own safety. 

After your dream, you wake up on the floor near the back by the emergency exit. You've made a habit of sleeping by the locked door just in case you need to make an escape from what you now consider to be the front door of your home/office. 

You've got a pretty huge chaise sectional sofa, a gift from a patient who even installed it for you a while back. It takes up a lot of room in the bus but you consider it important since it's where you perform your 'operating'. 

On the opposite side of your large sofa is an end table you use to store all your medical equipment. But besides these two pieces of furniture, the rest purely functions as your home. You have a table big enough for three people to sit at just behind the driver's seat and across from that- next to the door- is your small pantry and icebox used to keep things cool since there's no electricity for a refrigerator. 

Though you live in a bus, you don't move around in it often except for the occasional drive to a 7-Eleven or grocery store nearby for ice, snacks, or gasoline for your grill. Outside your bus, you have a small garden. Vegetables grow in an organized pattern surrounded by a wired gate to keep out animals and pests. However, you don't typically lock the garden since it isn't likely for someone to steal. There's still plenty of food in Japan since most of the population up and left.

You get up from your sleeping bag and walk over to your pantry for a snack. Fortunately for you, when you reach in you find a nice potato ready for eating. It's nothing compared to McDonald's like back in the before, but it does nicely to keep you alive. 

You then step over to your icebox (which you were surprised to find still being made in 2099. Who was buying them anyway?) and pull out a glass bottle of coke. Since there's no air conditioning or heat inside your bus when it isn't running, you step outside and walk out to your garden.

There, you're surprised to see a small hole dug under your fence. Just on the other side, you find a few carrots missing as well. With a bite into your potato like you're some famished military trainee about to fight some gigantic monster, you come up with a plan to defeat your new enemy. You don't have the time or energy to make extra food for those who aren't pulling their own weight. Seriously, the least the damn pest could do is give you some fertilizer after stealing your crops, right?

Either way, your stomach is rumbling. After finishing your potato and throwing your bottle into the recycling bin, you open the door to your bus and walk inside. Under the driver's seat, you reach around blindly until your hand reaches the shotgun you had been gifted by yet another patient.

"None us wanna see you gettin' into any trouble, but ya gotta keep one on ya just to be safe," the old man had told you. Though you've never had any intention of purchasing a weapon, the hopeful look in the old man's eyes pleaded for you to take it until you finally gave in. It's come in handy, you can't lie, but the trip to the gun shop is always a risky one. 

After cocking the gun, you mutter to yourself as you walk into the forest near your home. "Damn rabbit. At least you'll be fatter this way. Better hope you're smart enough to run far away before I get you, you fuck. How am I gonna help other people if I can't even help my own self, huh? Goddammit, now I've got to worry about fixing my fence, too."

Thinking nothing of it, you step away from your school bus to hunt for dinner just like you have most days for the past six months.

Kageyama: watching ‘top ten best sets in volleyball games with slow-motion’ again and again until his sister taught him how to use youtube

Tsukishima: writing long essays that he posts on facebook about how much twilight sucks and how much he hates it. definitely had a twilight phase

Yamaguchi: secretly writing twilight fanfiction and posting them on wattpad. he got pretty famous for them but he’ll never talk about it

Ennoshita: played Feeding Frenzy a lot. like, a Lot. this man was a literal god

Tanaka: MAKING PUNK/EMO EDITS OF HIS FAVORITE CELEBRITIES. his masterpiece was punk harry styles feat. 6 earrings and a neck tattoo

Nishinoya: watching american ninja warrior compilations but the ones with ‘eye of the tiger’ edited over them to make them extra awesome

Daichi: coming up with his own inspirational quotes that are kind of terrible like ‘even though i’ve been beaten down, i’ll always get back up’ and posting them on facebook thinking that he’ll inspire people somehow

Sugawara: watching ‘Hetalia Ep. 25 VIETSUB|SPN|ENG subtitles pt. 2/28′ on youtube. either that or ouran high school host club idk this guy had a phase

Asahi: taking a whole bunch of those ‘what your fashion says about you’ quizzes until he eventually made one himself as well as a polyvore account

Oikawa: reading and writing doctor who fanfiction before eventually getting into sherlock and supernatural. yes, he shipped destiel. yes, the destiel canon thing on november ruined him

Iwaizumi: he was really into looking up random animal videos like ‘tarantula vs. scorpion fight’ and stuff like monster bug wars from animal planet and when oikawa made fun of his search history he figured out how to delete it

Hanamaki: vibing to the Phineas and Ferb songs playlist that he made on youtube (of course the aglet song is his favorite one)

Matsukawa: a true tumblr child and was there when this hellsite was first birthed. he remembers the tumblr wars between the fandom and the hipster blogs all too well

Ushijima: didn’t know what the internet was until tendou realized he didn’t have a skype so he made an account for him. until now, ushijima’s status still says ‘hi, wakatoshi here’

Tendou: watching a whole bunch of minecraft song parodies on youtube before eventually making them himself 

Semi: either learning guitar through youtube videos or looking up ‘how to play lucky by jason mraz EASY VERSION | NO BAR CHORDS’ 

Shirabu: he used only Google+ as his social media and wondered why he wasn’t getting any friends

Goshiki: this kid was blessed to be twelve years old when the lego movie came out so he most definitely just used the internet to listen to ‘everything is awesome’ again and again

Kuroo: definitely a fandom kid, one of those from the six major book fandoms (hp, pjo, hg). used to run a fricking roleplay group on tumblr and his oc’s always have a Dark Backstory

Yaku: playing Pet Society on facebook. is it such a coincidence to see him so decked out and rich now when his pet had the same lifestyle? nO

Bokuto: as soon as he got a skype account, he’d pretty much voice call anyone and everyone he saw had an ‘active’ status on but his friends didn’t have the heart to switch their status to ‘inactive’

Akaashi: was the king of making ‘which ___ character would be into you (for girls and gays only!!!)’ quizzes that are very detailed. he’d even make a whole character profile with a ‘how you met them’ at the end

Atsumu: used to secretly watch episodes of ‘boys over flowers’ and ‘meteor garden’ on the computer when he was alone at home. eventually got into girl’s generation and super junior

Osamu: a master at playing poptropica and even had a whole gig making poptropica walkthroughs for other people. sometimes he’d play club penguin and get himself kicked out for swearing just for fun

Suna: looking up ‘demons by imagine dragons with lyrics’ on youtube and just playing it on loop. his desktop wallpaper says ‘don’t get too close, it’s dark inside’

Kita: didn’t know what the internet was until suna and aran took pity on him and helped him create a facebook account. until now, his profile pic is still a picture of his jersey number and he has 99+ unchecked notifications

Sakusa: his cousin introduced him to sims. except, sakusa doesn’t play ‘for fun’ but to vicariously live the average salaryman life through his virtual character (he named him steve)

Lemon Tea || What are mornings like with them?

↠ As we’ve seen in the anime (i.e. that one scene where Noya’s rude, crackhead early bird ass blinds everyone by throwing open the curtains), Asahi isn’t exactly a morning person.

↠ Absolutely the type to set four alarms, all staggered by five minutes, and starting ten minutes before he actually needs to be up. Dude may hate waking up, but the last lingering vestiges of his social anxiety means that he actually really hates being late for stuff as the potential for being stared at because of it is a big ol’ nope for him.

↠ Luckily for him he can do a fair bit of his work from home if he so chooses.

↠ …personal HC time? Personal HC time.

So we know he becomes a fashion designer, yeah? Well I like to think that he was able to get a fairly decent job straight out of school, but like obvi it was entry level. The fashion house he worked for mostly dealt in eveningwear, specifically gowns, with their sister house focusing more on suits and the like.

Personally he always preferred designing women’s clothing over men’s as there’s just more variety there, but gowns in particular have always held a special place in his heart thanks to his grandmother. She was an opera singer, and while she never received a level of international acclaim, she was p. famous in her home country. As a result of her profession she had a sizable collection of gowns.

Whenever they spent time together—which wasn’t nearly as often as either of them would have liked because she lived in Tokyo—they’d always end up in her massive closet, sat on the cushy chaste lounge with tea and cookies, while she showed him her gowns and told him about the memories connected to each one. He found the intricate stitching, elaborate bead work, fine materials, and flattering cuts to be just as interesting as the stories themselves, a thing that tickled the woman to no end.

Eventually he tried his hand at drawing some mock-ups (because I am 100% convinced that homie can draw, you can try prying this HC from my cold, dead hands but you won’t get far). Sometimes he’d make exact replicas other times original pieces, with his efforts getting better as he got older and more versed in drawing/designing.

And his grandma, god bless her, kept every last one of the sketches that he gave her. Had a special binder with the little plastic sleeves and everything to preserve them. She was one of the kinder, more gentle people in his life, always encouraging his artistic abilities and just generally nurturing him/cheering him on.

She was definitely the first person to encourage him to take up sewing and clothing design as a legitimate hobby in hopes that it would potentially lead to a career. She even went so far as to get him a sewing machine for his birthday one year.

To say his dad was… less than amused by this would be an extreme practice in understatement. Without getting too into the darker aspects of the way I personally canon his childhood, suffice it to say he was forced into sports shortly thereafter. Luckily he actually liked volleyball and had a natural affinity so it wasn’t too traumatic a thing for him.

Looping back around to my original point—he has always loved designing gowns, but everything reaches a point of stagnation. A few years in he starts to get burnt out and restless, but he’s doing well (both monetarily and position-wise) and honestly has no real reason to complain outside of a lack of inspiration—a thing, that for creative types, is akin to torture.

So to make a long story even longer, he starts drawing up designs for menswear on his own time. Not only is it a complete change of pace, but he can be a potential solution instead of complaining about the lack of options. Designs range from formal pieces to streetwear, the latter of which he never paid too much attention to once he graduated.

He’s always been more of button-down, peacoat, Chelsea boot kinda guy, so while he did appreciate the expression of vibrant colors, bold patterns, and baggy cuts it was never his personal aesthetic, yanno? Once he started designing it, however, he kinda fell in love?

This eventually leads to him changing tracks, and that eventually leads to him starting up his own company which leads us to present day.

↠ Why yes that was indeed just my really convoluted way of saying he’s a self-employed designer, thanks for noticing lmfao…

↠ Because of this he can work from home p. much whenever he wants, but he finds that he’s more productive when he’s in a dedicated space. He does have a home office, but… it’s still at home lol. Some days he’s disciplined enough to pull it off, but most days he’d rather just bite the bullet and go in. Plus he thinks it’s better for his employees to have him on site just in case they need him for whatever reason.

↠ On days when he’s going in to work he’s simultaneously draggy and efficient in his movements. He does everything damn near in slow motion, but he somehow manages to get done in a timely manner, like??

Umm, sir, how???

If you don’t have to be awake yet he’ll take care not to disturb you as he goes about his morning routine. Result vary as his coordination is kinda shot for like the first ten or so minutes after waking lol.

If he does wake you he’ll try to lull you back to sleep with gentle hands and shushes, sheepishly promising to make it up to you somehow should you fail to drift back off.

If you never wake in the first place he’ll press a sweet lil kiss to whatever part of you he can reach easily, telling you that he loves you and misses you already and that he’s looking forward to seeing you again when you both get home. He’ll give you one more peck, and after telling you that he hopes you’ll have a good day, he finally takes his leave.

((Uggggh. He’s so precious, somebody stop this man ;n;))

If you have to be up at a similar time he’ll greet you with a quick “Hey sweetie” and a kiss, but don’t expect to get too much conversation out of him until he’s dressed, aka at the end of his routine. It takes his brain that long to boot up enough to offer up a more substantial response than a grunt of acknowledgement lol.

Ofc this doesn’t mean that he’s not listening, and if you have something important to say he’ll do his best to focus and respond, but honestly he’s so out of it when he first wakes up you might as well just wait a bit if you can (or better yet talk to him about it the night before if at all possible).

Definitely has one of those fancy coffee makers with a timer so that he always has a fresh pot hot and at the ready. If you don’t drink coffee he’ll make sure to have your beverage of choice ready for you as well, perfectly made to your preferred specs because he’s thoughtful like that.

Will also make sure that you have a thermos of water to take with you because if his former years of being an athlete has taught him anything it’s that hydration is hella important. He’ll legit scold you if he thinks you’re not drinking enough water or just not taking care of yourself as well as you should be in general, but that’s a HC for another day…

In a similar vein he’s v. much into food prep so he’s usually able to whip  up something simple for breakfast. He prefers to have warm stuff in the morning, regardless of the season, so miso and rice is his go-to, tho if he wants something a bit more refreshing/lighter he’s not opposed to a parfait or maybe a bit of fruit and toast.

Really likes western style breakfast foods too, but can’t be bothered to cook them most mornings. In fact breakfast food are kinda his overall favorite. Because of this you have breakfast for dinner at least a couple of times a month; the style of said breakfast varies based on what you’re both in the mood for.

↠ If he’s working from home the process is p. much the same, just done slower because he’s not as tightly bound to a schedule as he otherwise would be. His day still has structure, naturally, but he’s a bit freer to take it at his own pace.

↠ On days when you can both sleep in tho? Oh. Boy.

Hope you like having 6+ feet and like 200 pounds of man curled around and-or on top of you lmao.

I personally canon him as capping out at 6’3” because I am a giant ~heaux~ for tall, beefy men, but that’s beside the point. Asahi’s a big boy that can dwarf most people, at least in height (and really everything else too, like have you seen him?? He’s so broad I wanna climb him ;n;)—that’s it, that’s the point I’m trying to make here.

He’s also p. clingy when sleepy. In fact I see him as being v. touchy with his s/o in general. Not exactly clingy in his waking hours per se, but rather just very physically affectionate. It’s one of the main ways he expresses his love, but like only with those extremely close to him.

It’ll probably surprise you how touchy he gets once you get deeper into your relationship, as he was always v. careful to be respectful when it came to touch at the start of things. Back then he was always so worried about making you uncomfortable—blame the phantom whispers of ‘He’s so intimidating!’ and the like that still curled around in his head—but if you’re at the point where you’re sharing a bed he’s obviously over that bit.

He’s what we in the business like to call a ‘strong cuddler’, meaning that once he’s got your ass in his kung-fu action grip you’re gonna be hard pressed to get out. If you do manage to escape he’s gonna try to pull you back in, so uhh, you might want to move fast lmao. If he can’t find you he’s gonna whine until you either give in and join him or he knocks back out.

He’s one of those people that can sleep for like twelve hours straight if given the opportunity, so sleeping in until noon isn’t unheard of. The thing is tho, he has no real reason for it. Like yeah, occasionally his work’ll keep him awake well past his bedtime, but for the most part he keeps decent hours.

He’s just one of those people that can sleep a lot ig, but at the same time doesn’t actually need to?? So long as he gets at least six hours he’s good. It’s weird, he’s weird, but he cute so we’ll let it ride.

↠ He loves to cook with you just as much as he loves to cook for you, so whenever y’all get up he’ll insist on making breakfast.

He’ll rarely if ever leave the task up to you alone, not because he thinks you’re incompetent, but because cooking’s one of those things that he equates with a really gentle and caring form of love.

His mom was a housewife, and as such she always made sure that her family was well fed. She always told Asahi that every dish was made with love, and he believed her; he could almost swear that he could feel all of the care and adoration that she had for them in each bite.

And so now he sees food as yet another way to share his feelings with you. It’s a v. subtle a thing, one that you probably won’t even know the full depth of unless you ask him about it (which I really have to insist on because seeing him with his cheeks glowing as he explains it to you is a sight that you need in your life, trust me).

Basically it allows for him to express his care in a way that doesn’t come off as being ‘too much’ or smothering—impressions that he still worries about giving off from time to time.

If you’re really insistent on being the sole chef that day just turn it on him. Tell him that you want to be the one to look after him today and he’ll fold like a gd accordion lol. Just be prepared to have him watching your every move like some love-sick thing. He’ll give you the gooiest look from where he has his head propped up against his palm, mouth set in a sweet lil smile and his cheeks lightly flushed and ahhhh~

However breakfast shakes out, you’ll end up eating it in bed. Is this a good idea? Eh… I mean, there has been a spill or two, but who’s counting? Asahi certainly thinks that the comfort and excellent company make up for any messes that may occur.

You’ll be talking about everything and nothing, with the conversation flowing easy thanks to how well you’ve come to know each other. Seeing him so comfortable and carefree is just so lovely, like yes bby, thrive, if anyone deserves it, it’s you!! ((I’m just really out here flashing my simp card hard tonight, huh?))

If you don’t have any plans for the day he’ll totally advocate for spending a bit more time in bed…

…What you do or do not get up to will be left up to your imagination/discretion lol.

If you’re just chilling he’ll be up for chatting more or you can pull up a show on your laptop or even browse through your socials on your phone; he’s not too picky so long as he gets to cuddle you. This’ll go on until you’re either both out again or the day demands its due.

↠ Overall mornings with Asahi are simple affairs filled with a quiet affection that will linger throughout the day, regardless of if he’s around to actively share it with you or not.

Peppermint Tea || What do they get excited about?

↠ Personally I don’t see Asahi as being an overly excitable person. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t get hyped over stuff, but rather that it’s rarely a super overt showing. Naturally there are things that can pull a super visceral reaction for him, but if were talking just like regular-degular excitement he’s more on the low-key side.

↠ Usually the easiest way to tell that he’s super into something is the fact that he won’t stop talking about it. It’s a subconscious thing, and if he actually realizes that he’s doing it he’ll stop immediately as he doesn’t want to bore and-or annoy people. ((As if his rambling isn’t one of the cutest things ever, smh…))

↠ Unsurprisingly he talks about you a fair bit lol. That’s the one topic that he’ll go on about at length with no real qualms. After all, you are one of the most interesting people he knows, and others should have the pleasure of knowing you, even if it’s just through his words.

↠ Aside from your relationship he’s still got a love for volleyball so that’s a thing that’ll get him going.

Definitely has season passes, and is an ardent supporter of MSBY as well as the Adlers. He refuses to pick a side as each team hosts his former teammates and friends and are thusly both deserving of his love and support lol.

Tho he would love to see every game live that obviously isn’t a realistic possibility so he settles for recording them instead. Will avoid all forms of social media until he watches said recordings so as not to have anything spoiled for him.

Regardless of if it’s live or not, he’d love it for you to watch it with him. If you’re just not interested he gets that, it’s not everyone’s thing, but if you are prepare to get a crash course in Volleyball 101 from Asahi Azumane, former Ace lol.

If you’re watching a recording he’ll be pause it as often as he needs to, to explain things or answer any questions you may have. Same goes for a live game, sans pausing, ofc. You would think that this would cut into his enjoyment, but it actually adds to it. He’s so happy that you’re willing to share one of his greatest passions with him, and more than a little proud to be the one to teach you about it.

But if you’re already and avid and well-learned fan? Bruh. He’ll legit spend hours talking about the intricacies of the sport as well as debating you on various topics concerning the game/players.

…may or may not get a little weak in the knees if he hears you talking volleyball with your friends because wow, my baby’s so into this, and so knowledgeable too! It’s so cute, you’re so cute, and he’s so cute too, I honestly cannot…

↠ Other than that he’s more people focused, so he gets really excited for the things that those closest to him are excited about.

The new season from that series you love about to drop? Hells yeah, go on a tangent about the thing and take him with you, pls lol.

Suga’s class all passed their latest test and he’s all smiles because of it which means Asahi is likewise beaming when he tells you about it. He’s so damn proud that you’d swear they were his students.

Hinata just posted a pic on his Insta about something that’s got him hype and Best Boy’s among the first to comment, matching his fervor with a flurry of emojis and an abundance of exclamation points.

I’ve said it before, but dude’s hella in tune with the emotions of those around him, and if said emotions are positive he has a habit of parroting them. With most that would have the potential of seeming disingenuous/annoying, but with him it’s so apparent that he’s genuinely happy that it doesn’t come off that way at all.

↠ Now as far as fashion goes, while he is passionate about it, it isn’t really something he talks about too often unless something really strikes his fancy. By his estimation that’s a hair too close to shoptalk, and he’d rather leave that type of stuff for work hours. Ofc if you want to gab about it he’s more than willing; talking about it doesn’t bother him or stress him out or anything like that, it’s just not something that he’ll go on about on his own, yanno?

Chamomile Tea || What is their sleep schedule like? Does it change around their s/o?

↠ I kinda touched on this in my first answer, but for the sake of the prompt…

↠ Aside from his ability to sleep for disturbingly long times, it’s pretty standard. This is due in large part to his work hours being set. Providing a project doesn’t require him to work through the night, he’ll be in bed no later than midnight; as he doesn’t usually wake until eight am that gives him a full night’s rest.

↠ He may not be an early bird, but he’s not really a night owl either. He’s not super big on late nights as they tend to throw off his sleep schedule which only makes mornings harder on him.

↠ Your sleep schedule doesn’t affect his too much as he goes to sleep late-ish anyway. That said, he hates the thought of leaving you awake all alone, so if you’re pulling an all-nighter for whatever reason he’s gonna stay up with you. The occasional late night doesn’t bother him, but if this becomes a regular thing you’ll start to see the wear-n-tear fairly quickly.

↠ If you are prone to staying up all night, he’s gonna look into helping with that regardless of the reason. Sleep’s super important to your health, so if something’s messing with that—be it an asshole boss and-or co-workers piling more on you than what’s fair or insomnia or whatever else—he’s gonna try to find a way to lessen the strain.

Earl Grey Tea || How did they court their s/o?

↠ He kinda doesn’t??

↠ If you’ve read my Love You Like I Do series, you’re well aware of the fact that in my… lore? I guess we’ll call it?? But yeah, in that things between the two of you start off rough. You just unnerve him so much, casting away all of his hard earned calm with even the most innocuous of actions. This leads to him avoiding you when he can, tripping over his words (and actual objects) when he can’t lmao.

↠ Eventually he gets ahold of himself enough to pursue a friendship with you, with things progressing from there until he’s finally blurting out a confession at you—and I do mean at you because this was in no way planned nor were either of you prepared for it.

The pair of you are just chilling out, yanno laughing and just sharing the space, when he looks over at you and thinks, They’re perfect. They’re prefect I can’t do this anymore.

The first half of that thought is common enough as he’s been down bad from jump, but not even he is entirely sure what his brain means by that second part—well not until his lips start moving without his permission that is lmao.

He word vomits months, possibly even years’ worth of repressed adoration at a speed that you can barely even comprehend. What you do manage to catch is that fact that he doesn’t think that he “–can be your friend anymore” and that leaves your heart dropping into your stomach.

Your dread and sorrow must be showing on your face because now he’s apologizing for burdening you with his feelings, and you’re trying to reassure him through your own pain that’s it’s okay and if he wants to part ways he shouldn’t feel bad about that, and then he’s all like–

? ? ?

On the one hand he’s relieved that you’re not rejecting him yet, but on the other you look like you’re on the verge of tears and this is not how he wanted this to go, at all, but he’s here now and he’s gotta make it right. And so he steels himself with a deep breath before gathering up your hands into his own and trying again.

The contact is unexpected as this is hardly a thing someone who’s trying to end a friendship would do, plus there’s the whole ‘he rarely if ever touches you casually let alone like this’ bit. But you’re too confused (and low-key shook) to do much besides go with it, so you just hold on to him as tightly as he’s holding you and listen.

↠ He’s not the jealous type at all. The way he sees it, if you’re together then you’re together. He respects you immensely and trusts you completely; he knows that neither of you will ever do anything to jeopardize your relationship so there’s really nothing to be jealous of.

↠ He’ll always assume the best about you, and while it may make his heart seize a bit if he sees something that looks sussy, he’ll always give you the benefit of the doubt.

It’s one thing if they honestly don’t know that you’re together, but once that’s been made clear (or if the person already knew beforehand), whew chile. It, uhh… it’s not pretty lol.

Kind of a traditionalist in this way. Blame his grams and all the Old Hollywood movies she showed him when he was as a kid because he certainly does. There’s a certain quaintness to the way they portrayed romance, one that he’s always wanted to recreate after a fashion with his special someone. So now that he’s got you expect to be wooed like a starlet of old lmao.

Every inch the gentleman, he’ll open and hold doors, pull out chairs, will even legit lay his jacket over a puddle if the need arises lol. He also vibes hard with that whole ‘candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach’ beat. It should feel cheesy af, but he’s just so heart-achingly sincere that you don’t have it in you to be anything but charmed by his actions and utterly smitten with the man himself.

He really loves making memories with you, but even with as close as he holds each and every one, this cradling cannot stop the dulling touch of time. Memories will inevitably fade, that’s just a part of the curse of being, but there are ways to counter that. To that end expect to take tons of pictures to document your adventures.

He’s p. good at photography (a side effect of his work; before he could afford to hire a professional he had to take his own photos for his shop’s site), and he always manages to capture both you and your surroundings at the best angle and in the most flattering light. He’s able to strike a good balance with it too, taking enough pictures to fully capture everything, but not being so glued to his phone/camera that it ruins the vibes.

In a similar vein he likes having things that are specific to the pair of you as a couple; lots of inside jokes and matching items, etc. You guys are 100% the couple that unintentionally puts on complimentary outfits. Like you’re not even trying, you’re just so in tune with one another that it just happens sometimes. This man will pamper and spoil you rotten if you let him. That said he’s more opt to shower you in time and affection than gifts. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t still buy you things, but that it’s not his go-to.

For him it’s the time spent and memories made that are most precious, and they’re made all the more so due to the responsibilities that so often keep you apart. Being an adult is a real time-suck, but that which he has to share he gives to you freely. He wants you to monopolize his time in the same way he’s so greedy for yours.

But don’t think that any of this means that he’ll be under you 24/7. In an ideal world you could stay hugged up for all eternity, but sadly that’s not realistic. Even with as much as he adores spending time with you he knows that you both need space on occasion, and he’s more than willing to grant you that.

It’s not uncommon for you two to part ways after breakfast and not come back together until bedtime. On days like that he’s kinda gonna be all over you once you settle in for the night—if you’ll allow it, of course. Again, he’s not clingy, just tactile.

He’s not super big on grand showings of PDA, but he’s got no problems with holding hands, wrapping an arm around you, or even sharing a sweet little peck every now and again if it’s appropriate.

When you’re in the privacy and comfort of your own home, however, he’s a lot bolder. ↠ Kindness, above all else.

↠ Having experienced not nearly enough of it in his own life—while still showing it to others unconditionally, btw—he absolutely cannot stand to be around angry, mean-spirited people in any capacity. People like that make him equal parts nervous and irritated. Ofc being angry on occasion is fine/normal, but if that seems to be the person’s default state and-or they’re cruel then that’s a big no for him.

↠ He also likes people that are grounded in themselves, as it helps him to be more stable as well. This isn’t to say his partner has to be on top of things 24/7, but he really does prefer—need, really—for them to have a decent handle on things. He’s more than willing to help them get there, but if they’re too up and down and aren’t looking to get better that’ll end things quickly. Given his own nature, he can’t stand by and watch a person that he cares about willingly self-destruct, yanno?

↠ Authenticity is also a big thing for him. Working in the fashion world, he’s v. much accustomed to the masks that most people don for various reasons. Luckily at this point he’s better at speaking his mind, so if you propose a straight up date he’ll ask if you’re opposed to turning it into something more informal so that you can get to know each other. I know that’s (probably??) an American-specific reference from forever ago, but whatever lmao. Actually they may still use it? Idk, I haven’t seen one of their commercials in years.

↠ When things start to feel stagnant, Asahi will opt to take you somewhere new.

Traveling abroad is preferred, but not always feasible, so when forced he’ll settle for something local. Tho it should be said that his definition of ‘local’ is broad af lol. If you’ve both got the time p. much anywhere in Japan’s fair game.

He loves finding little off-path spots—a little pop-up boutique, hidden ramen houses that only the regulars seem to know about, an antique shop that is a relic and in of itself, corners of parks that have been all but reclaimed by nature, etc. He doesn’t mind hitting up trendier places as well, but he usually finds that they rarely live up to the hype in most cases, even if they are v. nice.

Really his main thing is spending time with you; he wants to reconnect, to stoke your shared fire until it’s once again blistering with that white-hot heat that he loves to feel consuming all of him.

↠ If you don’t feel like painting the town or don’t really have the time to he’ll find little ways to bring back the spark right there at home.

This mostly involves him doing a lot of little things that’ll pull up those old, happy memories from your favorite trips. ↠ This really depends on your personality. He doesn’t want to add to your stress by doing something you don’t like so if you’re the kind that needs space he’ll give it to you. If you want to be smothered in cuddles he’s down for that too. At the end of the day it’s your comfort that he’s most concerned with so he’ll go with your flow.

↠ That said, his go-to is to relax you by degrees.

↠ The first order of business will be to get you into the bath.

A nice soak can help to alleviate any physical discomfort you may be feeling as well as to relax your mind a bit. He’ll join you if you want, but he’s just as fine with sitting beside the tub and sharing the space or even leaving you be entirely.

If you do want him to stay he’ll be as hands on as you want. He’ll tend to your hair and even help you wash up if you need it. If it’s the latter he’ll have already placed the order, but if it’s something that he needs to make he’ll get on it as soon as you’re settled. If you’re not keen on being left alone he gets that; he’s more than willing to let you glomb on to him while he tends to the food, and is more than willing to let you help if you’re that way inclined.

He still won’t bring up what it is that’s eating at you yet, though you ofc are free to at any time. If you’re not ready to talk he’ll put something mindless on—be that something on the television or some music or whatever else—and just chill with you. Conversation will be provided if you’re up for it, but he’s more than willing to sit in the hush with you if that’s what you need.

↠ It’s only when you’re properly relaxed and fed that he’ll ask if you’re ready to talk.

He’ll let you vent all you need, though aside from the occasional hum he’ll be pretty quiet throughout. This is because he’s taking in what you’re saying in its entirety so that he can examine it from various angles; he wants to be able to provide a proper response as well as good advice should you ask for the latter.

But of course he knows that advice isn’t always wanted or needed, so if it’s just a sounding board that you’re looking for he’s happy to lend an ear.

↠ By the time Asahi’s done with you, you’ll be feeling much better, physically as well as mentally. Even if you’re not back at 100% by your sessions end, he’ll keep at it—being whatever you need, however you need it, for as long as you need it.

↠ Not overly.

↠ Like I said before, he has been in a few relationships, but they never got too deep. Don’t get me wrong, he genuinely liked those people, but… It just never panned out. The romantic in him likes to think this is because the universe has shipped the pair of you from jump, but the realist in him knows that those breakups were rooted in some pretty heavy things.

Half of it was due to insecurity/a lack of confidence on his part, while the other half came from unhealthy expectations from his partners.

Thinking back on things now he sees that he wasn’t exactly ready to be dating at that point in his life. He was still growing, still had a lot of personal issues that needed working on and it wasn’t exactly fair to either of them for him to pull others into that.

But at the same time once that was made clear to his partners they could have given him a bit more grace. Some legitimately tried for a bit, while others were less understanding—in the end none of them could understand why he couldn’t ‘just get over it.’

And even that he kinda feels responsible for to a degree. He always glossed over his issues, quick to downplay the effect of his trauma—a habit he initially picked up for self-preservation reasons, tho it did him no good in the long run—so he could see why they would think that it would be easy to move past.

But honestly it wouldn’t take much more than a glance to see that there was far more to things than what he made them out to be; that they either couldn’t see that, or pointedly chose to look away says a lot and none of it is good.

This is why he never really mourned those relationships. Yes, the breakups hurt at the time, but subconsciously he knew that they weren’t what was best for him.

↠ Lessons learned taught him to be more… Not exactly cautious, but more selective about who he lets into his life in that capacity. This is why he’s so insistent on being friends first. This isn’t to say that you have to be super-ultra besties before he’ll consider dating you, but he does have to trust you to hold his hand before he’ll let you cradle his heart.

English Breakfast Tea || Would they want a family?

↠ As far as he’s concerned you’re already a family, but if you’re looking to bring kids into the mix… I can see him going either way on this. Children aren’t something that he’s dead set on having, but he’s also not at all against the idea.

↠ Expanding your family would be just one more expression of your shared love, and he’s all for that. So if you want kids, he’s very much down.

In fact I can see him getting way into the idea if you’re super jazzed about it. Like you really think he’s fit to be the father of your children? Him? As in Asahi Azumane? Really??

He gets way into his feelings over it, but like in a good way lol. Will definitely be an excellent dad; he’s kind and understanding and has so, so much love to give (plus his piggyback rides are god-tier lmao). No kid could ever ask for anything more.

↠ But like I said, this isn’t a must for him, so if you’re like me and kids aren’t your thing he’s more than understanding. Fur-babies are just as good, as are plant children, or no surrogates at all.

↠ Like I said before, you’re his family, his heart, his whole gd world—he doesn’t need anything else outside of that, but he’s always more than willing to add to the love.

↠ Between wistfully daydreaming about his grandmother’s travels and the few trips he’s taken with Noya, dude’s totally caught the bug.

↠ It doesn’t matter if you’re just going to that nice restaurant that recently opened up downtown or to the other end of the world—he wants to see everything this blue marble has to offer, and he wants to do it with you by his side.

↠ Domestic stuff is cool, but he’d be lying if he didn’t say that he prefers to go abroad.

Luckily for him his work allows for him to travel a fair bit. This is… less than ideal if you cannot accompany him as he doesn’t like to be away from you for long stretches of time. Still, he’s a big boy and understands that you have your own responsibilities to tend to, so he won’t make a big deal out of it.

…but he maaay offer you a job lmao. He won’t try and pressure you into it or anything like that, in fact the idea probably won’t leave the confines of his mind unless you’re currently in between jobs or if it’s obvious that things at your current gig aren’t working out. The offer will be casually made at first, with him only going into detail if you actually show some interest.

Ofc he’s heard the horror stories about couples having problems and even breaking up due to their working together, but he doubts that’ll be a thing with the pair of you. Besides he’s been in need of a PA for a long time, but he hasn’t been able to find one that he vibes with, a thing that obviously won’t be a problem with you. Tho if you have the skills and want to do something else he’s totally okay with that too! As much as he’d love to keep you close, working with him directly isn’t a must.

((Personally I’d take the PA position as the job’s pretty low effort because Asahi likes to do most things himself, and what little you would actually have to do would be stuff that you’d do for him regardless. But it’s your life boo-boo, you do you.))

Working arrangements aside, if you can go with him then by all means do! You’ll both be happier for it, I assure you lol. He’ll spend whatever free time he has wandering around the city with you and finding cool things to do; lots of shopping, trying out the local cuisine, and just generally having a fun time. And thanks to his anxiety-induced preparedness you’ll never have to worry about getting lost as dude has like 5 apps and a literal paper map to aid you lmao.

He also always makes sure that you have enough coin that you’re able to enjoy yourselves without worry about curbing your spending. Travel is such an essential part of his life that he factors it into his budgeting accordingly.

↠ Ofc it isn’t just work trips that he’ll take you on. Whenever you both have the time off and the want, he’ll be all to ready to book it to wherever.

Totally the type to toss a dart at a map to pick your next destination, but that’s about as spontaneous as it gets lol. He’s gonna do his research to make sure the place is actually fit to visit/what to do should you really decide to go there/the best place to stay/etc.

It doesn’t matter where you end up, exploring’s always gonna be one of his most favorite things to do while traveling.

Like I said before, he really enjoys finding hidden spots, but when he’s abroad he’s a sucker for tourist traps (i.e. landmarks, monuments, notable restaurants, etc.)

He always makes sure to get something to memorialize your trips. Pictures are a given, naturally, but he also likes having other physical reminders. These can range from a little trinket like a keychain to a whole ass painting ((umm, where is your chill, sir? lmao)). He loves the way he can transport himself back to those precious moments by just looking at the items you’ve collected over the course of your travels.

↠ Also—stargazing.

This is one of his favorite things to do with you in general, and he always tries to squeeze it into your itinerary whenever possible.

With the night sky being so expansive and varied it’s always fun to try to spot the difference between what’s currently above you and the celestial landscape you’re more accustomed to back home.

He rarely brings along a star map so you’re probably not going to be able to make much out unless astronomy is your thing. Either way, the pair of you always end up making up your own constellations at some point, complete with the dramatic backstories that seem to come standard with the things lol.

He’s definitely drawn and framed a few of your favorites from these sessions, and they’re hanging in your home as well as his office.

Sometimes the team will bump to banging oldies, courtesy of coach Ukai, throwbacks, courtesy of the third years, or well known songs, courtesy of Kinoshita, because he really really loves leading Karasuno: the musical.

Whenever this happens, Tanaka will bring him homemade peanut butter squares, watch Disney movies with him, and talk his ear off about how proud he is.

I like to think they have a lil bond. So like Yams will deadass just send him a sad face, their established code (courtesy of Tanaka), and the second year is already asking Saeko to pack him a bag as he leaps into the kitchen to make peanut butter squares.

“Code Pinch” is what they use, so their parents don’t know of their plans. But the second Tanaka frantically says those words, Saeko drops whatever activity she’s doing without hesitation.

Ennoshita regrets having formerly left the team, because he felt so bad for letting the team down in the past.

Tsukishima is super stoic, as we all know. The only people he confides in are Bokuto and Kuroo.

He knows Yamaguchi has many issues of his own, so he feels it’s unfair for him to dump more on him.

One night during their blocking training, Tsukishima was totally spaced out and the two noticed, so they took him into a little supply room.

They sat in a circle in silence, both resting a hand somewhere on his body (I would say kuroo on the knee, Bokuto on the shoulder), until he finally talked to them about what happened.

They def do a two man hug when beanpole started to cry. And like mans sobbed bc he hadn’t cried in like 10 years.

Bokuto would just sing to them super softly until Tsukki stops crying.

And it just so happened to be his favorite Disney song which only made him cry more

Narita and Kinoshita are called “side pieces” by other teams.

As soon as they got to nationals, someone from an unknown team made a snide comment to Tanaka along the lines of “try not to kill your captain again, buzz cut.”

This absolutely triggered a PTSD episode in Tanaka and flattened his mood.

Our resident bad boy deadass teared up at the thought of it happening to anyone else. (OUCH POOR BABY I LUB HIM SO MUCH WHY HURT HIM EVER)

While Daichi went straight to him to help him, the random dude was faced with two scary teams.

Karasuno, and Nekoma.

Kuroo glares straight into this man’s soul and-

“You say anything like that to him again, and there’ll be stumps where your feet should be. Got it?”

I deadass think that bc of the way they’re drawn that Nishinoya bites his nails.

It’s not even a nerves thing, or a bad habit, it’s a mental thing.

Something tells him he has to do it.

Is so insecure about it, and constantly wishes to wrap his fingers before matches.

Every time Kageyama lashes out at a teammate, he goes home and cries.

And Tsukishima’s snarky ass comments don’t help either

He doesn’t ever want to be king again

Sugawara goes through random depressive episodes.

Like the super bad ones where all you can do is lay in bed for a few days and can’t feel anything but static.

Does he have someone to help him? Most times it’s Daichi, who will just come over and be this mf’s servant.

He will carry Suga if he has to. Mans has to get up and eat, drink and pee.

He does it without hesitation though. He never complains.

When Daichi isn’t there, or he can’t even muster the strength/courage to tell his friend, he goes through it alone and tries his damndest to go through the cycle he does with Daichi.

Sometimes he does it, most times he fails. He only gets relief when Asahi notices he isn’t at practice and immediately races to his house after it’s over.

When Hinata’s adrenaline runs out on the bus, his panic disorder kicks in.

The kid is intimidated by height and power. Literally he has to have panic disorder

He has the type of panic attacks where he can only squeeze his eyes shut and choke as tears leak from his eyes.

He also vibrates really badly, which alerts whoever is sitting behind him about the attack. It’s usually Tsukishima and Yamaguchi.

When it happens, Tadashi taps Tsukishima lightly, getting the mid blocker’s attention. He then wordlessly points to Hinata with a sympathetic look.

Tsukki nods and does the same to Kageyama, minus the sympathetic look.

You can see the heartbreak in the setter’s eyes as he somberly nods. He wordlessly places a hand on Hinata’s knee, alerting his presence.

“I’m gonna hug you. I know you can’t reply, but if you don’t want me to, find a way to give me a sign.”

If he can’t stand being touched at that point, Hinata will viciously slap his thigh.

If he can, he doesn’t do anything and lets Kageyama wrap him up and pull him into his lap. He whispers sweet nothing into the bb’s ear.

“Listen to me. Listen to my heartbeat. It’s only us.”

If that doesn’t work, Kageyama holds up a peace sign behind him to alert the two in the seat that he needs help. The two immediately rise to their feet without hesitation or protest.

Tsukishima quiets down the bus entirely and tells the coaches, as Yamaguchi takes Hinata into his lap and sings You Are My Sunshine and A Spoonful off Sugar. (Okay fucking ouch that one hurt more than Tanaka’s.)

Asahi constantly wishes he had a partner, and thinks he doesn’t because he’s unlovable.

He deadass has a playlist called “lonely hearts club”. And one of the songs on there is Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof

Daichi is overwhelmed by everyone coming to him with issues, but he never lets it show.

His coaches are the only ones who check in with him

Absolutely in stitches when it happens, like bb is just so overwhelmed that he cries and cries. Ukai wraps him in a super tight hug as he continuously whispers to him that “it’s all okay.”

Coach Ukai? Yeah he’s in awful debt.

He won’t ever tell the team, or Takeda. He doesn’t want to owe more money, or be seen as incapable of surviving on his own.

Takeda gets burnt out very easily

Ukai actually takes some time to help him grade!!

They put on a calming playlist and work together.

Takeda handles the essay questions and Ukai takes the multiple choice, since he has no fucking idea what he’s looking at.

Yachi really wants to be an actress, but her anxiety completely fucks up her auditions.

Oh yeah the team 100% puts on little skits amongst themselves.

Kiyoko is so afraid of graduating.

She’s worried that she’s going to lose herself without having a group of rambunctious boys to take care of.

She’s also scared she won’t be able to make the same bond with others that she did with the team and the coaches.

-Bokuto- (Pro-Athlete) 

Bokuto knew you were an athlete but he had NO IDEA that you were super famous. Like he always thought it was normal for people to come up to you after your game to ask for pictures or autographs ??? 

I mean that’s why he was so drawn to you because of how much passion you had for your said sport cause duh he could relate

One day when you two were out at the mall, he told you that he needed to get new shoes to work out in and so the two of you went into the Nike store so he could look around

He was looking through the shoe aisle and after almost two hours of looking through the same shelves, he finally found a pair he liked (shopping with him is so time-consuming but that’s for a different day) 

when he found a pair he liked, the two of you made your way to the cashier to pay for his shoes. As the cashier was ringing Bokuto up, his eyes traveled up to the large poster/banner that was directly behind the cashier’s area and smiled to himself

It was a colorful promotional banner with a bunch of top athletes from around the world and as he’s looking at the banner, he sees this girl and he nudged you like,” Babe, she looks like you!” 

You look up from your phone and sure enough, you’re plastered on the wall posing with other athletes

“ Oh yeah, I didn’t think this shoot would come out until next month.”

Bokuto didn’t even process what you just said but my dude behind the cash register stopped scanning the shoes to turn his head to the banner and he turned PALE. 

He even does a double-take cause hold up, is there seriously a pro athlete in front of him?

“ Oh my god...You’re Y/N L/N!”

“ How do you know my…” Bokuto furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the banner again and he even squinted like hold up

As your fame grows, so does Bokuto’s with his volleyball career. You and him are described as a powerhouse couple and it really hypes the two of you up like THE POWER YALL POSSESS TOGETHER ON AND OFF THE COURT/FIELD/WHATEVER

If you’re a pro volleyball player, you two get compared a lot and it bugged you at first since you felt like you two were two very different in terms of playing style but after a while, you both started to encourage the idea of your own playful rivalries like comparing stats and wins

But if you’re in a different sport, you two get asked questions like who’s sport is harder or what it would be like if you two switched sports like??? But because you two are in different fields, you both have such major respect for each other cause you can’t even imagine how much hard work it is 

He absolutely does not mind it at all when fans approach you two if you guys are on a date. He knows how important your relationship with fans are, especially if they’re younger girls who look up to you as a role model

Bokuto will fall in love with you all over again whenever you crouch down to a younger fan ughhhghgh

He doesn’t care for the paparazzi to be honest. he knows it comes with the territory but he will get a bit protective if they start to get too close to you

He knows how stressful it is being a pro athlete but he will always remind you how proud he is of you and if he ever sees you overworking, he will make sure you take a day off even if that means just napping together all day

So Oikawa knows that you act but he doesn’t know that you’re an actress (which is basically the same thing) 

Like as a kid you were in commercials and you had a small role in a tv show but it wasn’t like it was super popular. 

But what Oikawa didn’t know was that a couple months before you two started dating, you were flown out to America to star in an upcoming and highly anticipated movie 

since you were under a contract, you weren’t allowed to talk about it until the trailer dropped and it ate away at you because all you wanted to do was tell people especially your boyfriend 

ANYWAY He decided to take you on a date to the movie theatre and as you two were getting popcorn, these girls came up to you two 

“ Hi! Is it okay if we can get a picture with you?”

“Of course, how could I ever turn down my lovely fans-”

“ No, not you, Y/N!” 

Oikawa is just flabbergasted as the girls hand their phone to him so he can take a photo of you with your fans he deadass thinks it’s some prank

After the girls left, he gave you a weird-ass gaze and asked you what that was about but you just shrugged and told him that maybe it was because of ur mini part in that one tv show

So he thinks nothing about it and teased you that it was so cute how you had a mini fanbase and you weren’t going to lie, it was pretty freaking cool 

You guys entered your theatre and got settled into your seats as the movie trailers started to play. 

(Oikawa loves watching trailers like this dude is the type to take you 45 minutes before the movie actually begins JUST to make sure he doesn’t miss anything)

As you’re chilling in your seat, you see the trailer to your movie so you do your best to keep your eyes on your boyfriend and the screen at the same time cause you want to see his reaction

The trailer plays and Oikawa seemed to be interested in the movie but again, it’s like any normal trailer UNTIL he hears your voice coming from the screen and he immediately sits up in his seat 

“ Wait- was that your voice?”

“ My voice?”

“ Nevermind, I think I’m going crazy-”

AND THEN HE SEES YOU ON THE SCREEN! Since it’s a trailer it was just about five seconds of an intense/dramatic scene but it’s enough for Oikawa to lose his mind

“ OH MY GOD THAT IS YOU!”

This prompts some people in the audience to shush him but Oikawa doesn’t care

“ OH SHUSH THAT’S MY GIRLFRIEND! Y/N! THAT’S YOU!”

“ Toru oh my god yes that’s me but stop screaming or they’re gonna kick us out!” You whispered loudly as Oikawa clamped his hand over his mouth 

He’s so happy and he’s beaming with pride so he pulls out his phone and  records the trailer to post it in his group chat cause duh he wants to show the boys how proud he is but when he sees you kissing someone else for .6 seconds, Oikawa just (ㆆ_ㆆ) and stops recording

“ Was that real or CGI?”

“ The building crumbling is all CGI-”

But there are some days where you don’t want to get recognized and he 100% understands so the two of you will wear disguises as to not get recognized. One time you two ended up getting caught so he just grabbed your hand and the two of you SPRINTED back to the subway

He will have all of your movies on DVD and if your movie is on a streaming service, he will buy a membership JUST so he can watch your movie

Sometimes you’ll come over to his house and he’ll always try to make you watch your movie for the millionth time

“ But my extremely talented and beautiful girlfriend is in this movie why would I watch anything but this?” 

Don’t be fooled he WILL skip through any kissing scenes or scenes where your character shows any type of affection to another character

Red carpet events give him a chance to dress up and lowkey his outfit is always one of the best there. He won’t outshine you per se but fans actually look forward to see what he’ll be wearing and he’s not even in any of the movies I- 

Your schedule gets pretty busy once your career takes off and even though there are certain time periods where you’re across the world, it won’t stop him from sending huge bouquets to your set 

Basically, Oikawa is such a supportive boyfriend and is overall so proud of how you managed to juggle your studies with your acting career 10/10 best boy

You and Tsuki had only been dating for a bit and since it was all still new, he kept it on the down-low because the last thing he needed was his teammates pestering him about a girl 

Tsuki knew you liked to sing and write songs but you never told him about how well known you were simply because he never asked

He just assumed it was a side thing for you UNTIL he showed up to practice and some of his teammates were huddled around Noya watching something on his tablet

“ Shush! I can’t hear her-”

“ What are you idiots watching?” Tsuki asked as he craned his neck to look at the screen

No one answered him so he started to watch the music video and low and behold, your face popped up on screen singing along to your lyrics that he’s heard a million times

Tsuki is a bit taken aback cause why is his girlfriend in such a high production video and why is his heart feeling some type of way seeing you in that outfit

At first, even Tsuki was questioning himself like wait, is he even sure you’re dating? cause this girl in the music video was NOT the same girl he was on the phone with last night

 If you had asked Tsuki 10 seconds ago if he would ever reveal to the guys he was dating someone, he would say helllll no but now that he knew about this, he didn’t care about keeping the relationship a secret especially if they were thirsting over his girl

He had all the proof in the world that he was dating you but took the salty approach to prove it to them. He pulled out his phone and shot you a text even though you were in class

Tsuki: Come to the gym right now

Y/N: is everything ok?

Tsuki: just come quickly

You left your class to “use the restroom” and practically rushed to the gym thinking that something was wrong with your boyfriend. You slid into the gym, causing the boys to look up from the tablet and you ignored their shocked faces

“ Where’s Tsukishima?” 

The boys slowly did a doubletake from the music video back to you to make sure they were seeing correctly and even though you were a bit embarrassed to hear your song playing in the background, you were just worried about Tsuki

Tsuki walked out to you from behind the guys and you rushed over to him

“ Babe, what’s wrong?” 

“ BABE?!” 

The boys were shocked and the second years practically FAINTED in your presence 

Tsuki pulled the tablet from Noya’s cold, dead hands and showed you the screen,” Care to explain this?” 

“ I- Um, it’s my music video…”

“Well are you famous or something?” 

“ I wouldn’t say famous…more like upcoming artist?” 

And then the next week you’re a nominee for the VMA’s asjfkghdk

 honestly out of Oikawa and Bokuto, he probably handles it the best on the outside, he doesn’t make too big of a deal out of your fame but on the inside he’s can’t even believe it

He doesn’t go around shouting to the world that he’s dating the Y/N L/N but he has his own ways of supporting you. He’ll listen to your songs whenever he’s walking in the hallway or doing homework at home and he’ll catch himself liking tweets that are about you as long as they’re positive

He’s def the type to argue with people online if they say mean comments and will report/block them before you can even see it 

IDC how much he tries to hide it, he is deadass ur biggest fan. Tsuki will tease you about how nervous you act during interviews/award shows but he will ALWAYS go with you to ease your nerves even if he had prior plans

If you ever write a song for him, he gets SO RED AND EMBARRASSED so pls do that 

Will def call you baka for doing so but deep down, he’ll fall in love with you even more cause you’re able to put into words how he feels about you 

I don’t think he’ll be too comfortable with you posting about him but he knows he can’t do anything about people taking photos of the two of you out together in public

Tsuki would never be rude to your fans though like if you were recognized during a date, he wouldn’t make a fit and will take photos of you and your fans to speed the process along

He HATES HATES HATES the paparazzi’s like it’s one thing for fans to come up to you when yall are in public but he gets mad when the paparazzi harasses you with questions/pictures/comments

It’s a big adjustment for Tsukishima that he has a girlfriend in the entertainment sphere but he knows how hard you’ve worked for it and he would never tell you to stop living your dream 

Sometimes he’ll feel insecure because you’re so successful and he doesn’t want to hold you back but since he can’t imagine being without you, he just pushes those thoughts away and enjoys every minute with you
