He gritted and ground his teeth as he walked out the backdoor and out to the empty patio, spinning to face Ricardo the moment he heard the door open again. “Do you wanna tell me what the FUCK you were thinking?” He was on the verge of yelling, only holding back to avoid being heard over the music in the bar. “Do you feel like a big man? Feel like you’ve pulled a quick one on us all?” His next words were quiet, but they carried more far more weight and intensity than anything else he’d said thus far. “These are real people, Ricardo. If you’ve started a goddamn witch hunt, if you have fucked this case, what then? What’s your plan?”
