[Monster High] so since pink lagoona is a hot topic in the fandom, i though it'd be a fun challenge to try and make some pink lagoonas myself. there's actually a lot of material to work with imo!

these are all essentially looks for a recolored g1 lagoona, only the last one being intended for her g3 personality. i wanted to make more for g3, but didn't quite like them in execution, so maybe another time..

coy classic: elegant mermaid pond lagoona, inspired by koi fish. this one is kind of an amalgamation of her g1 dolls that exists in my head tbh

SLUG ( Core ) Legacy EVOLUTION *G1*

I Dinobot sono fra i personaggi più amati del brand dei Transformers, e ritrovarli in mezzo ai recenti Core di Legacy è stata una sorpresa un po' loffia, nel senso che sì, evviva!, dei Dinobot piccini fuori scala da affiancare ad altri robot piccini e lo stesso fuori scala fra loro!! ^^'' E invece questi nuovi Core di SLUG e compagnia, che di primo acchito appaiono pure poco, uhm, attraenti, in quanto davvero abbozzati nelle forme, rivelano una sorpresa, ovvero che la loro scarsa resa estetica deriva dall’essere dei Combiner!!

Questa rivisitazione in chiave mignon del Volcanicus di Poweroftheprimiana memoria infatti però non è campata in aria così, dato che il Combiner dei Dinorobot è stato velatamente suggerito come l'apripista di una sua successiva versione repaint o remold del Dinoking di Victory, ovvero la controparte giapponese del Monstructor occidentale con i gusci che invece che sembrare mostri generici rappresentavano dei dinosauri.

In attesa di questo aggiornamento di quegli storici Combiner Pretender o presunti tali, però, magari qualcuno potrebbe saltare a piè pari quindi questi piccoli Dinobot non proprio riusciti, ma non io, sopratutto se a battezzare la linea mettono il mio amato Tricex!

Il quale, come ROBOT, non è così orrendo come paventato, e non fosse per le coscione e le braccia un po' troppo corte, sarebbe davvero riuscito! Ok, le braccia poi sono pure rigide nei gomiti, ma per il resto è snodato bene, con balljoint su anche e ginocchia, la possibilità di alzare sia frontalmente che laterlamente le braccia, e sopratutto ruota sia testa che bacino!! :O

I dettagli dipinti sono scarni ma essenziali, come i pugni neri ed i piedi dorati, mentre testa e torso sono rossi, ma comunque riescono lo stesso a spuntare bene nel grigio principale ( avesse avuto pure le cosce bianche, o anche nere, sarebbe stato il massimo, ma tant'è!^^' ). Gli occhi sia del robot che del dinosauro sono infine dipinti di azzurro, e la testa di questo che fa da cappuccio al primo è dorata.

Da dietro le gambe sono vuote, e vabbè, mentre è carino come si possa ufficiosamente aprire la schiena del sauro, altrimenti ingrombrante, sollevando le due metà lateralmente e mimando così le ali dell'originale e del Leader Studio Series, alla faccia invece del Combiner Wars. ^^'

Ciò comporta la rivelazione di un foro da 5mm sulla schiena, utile per metterci magari qualche arma o accessorio standard, anche se il nostro invece è armato con un'inedita e sopratutto pretestuosa pistola a due canne ricavata dalla cosa della sua modalità bestiale. 

( Leggo sulla wiki che le cosce sono montate al contrario, cosa cui non avevo fatto caso, ma in effetti la parte più gonfia bassa va rivolta in avati, ed è facile da sistemare )

La TRASFORMAZIONE è quella basilare classica, con le braccia che diventano le zampe anteriori, qui ribaltandosi sullo snodo delle spalle, e le gambe che di ripiegano diventando il culone della bestia, con le zampe posteriori appese, cui poi va attaccata dietro appunto la coda, ed infine, il pannello sul petto va ad alzarsi diventando la mandibola del sauro.

Il piccolo TRICERATOPO robotico non sarebbe neanche male, chiudendo un occhio sulla coda corta e dritta, non fosse più che altro per i fianchi dello stomaco scarni e scavati. Peccato davvero perchè alla fine, nonostante la stazza, il sauro è pure snodato sulle zampe a livello di anche e spalle, e la scultura della testa è davvero carina, mentre la cresta, le corna e la schiena sono o almeno paiono di un grigio più verso l'argento, anche se differenza fra quello principale è minima, o forse sono io che ho le allucinazioni. ^^'

Passando alla sua modalità di parte del piccolo combiner VOLCANICUS, abbiamo una sorpresa rispetto anche all'omonimo gestalt precedente di PotP, dato che il nostro Slag qui prende il posto di Grimlock come corpo del "gigante" composito, o meglio, va a formarne intanto il solo PETTO, dato che appunto nel Dinoking era tal KAKURYU a formare questa porzione del corpo, e, indovinate? il suo guscio Pretender era quello di un Triceratopo!

( Ironico come il nome della versione occidentale di sto Kakuryu sia proprio ... SLOG! ^^ )

Core Slug si TRASFORMA quindi nel petto del novello Volcanicus innanzitutto togliendo la coda ed aprendo in due la schiena in avanti, con le zampe anteriori che salgono all'indietro andand a coprire i famigerati fianchi scarni, fissandosi lì. Infine, dalla coda si estrare la parte nera che si rivela essere la testa del gestalt e la si mette nel foro sulla schiena.

Ovviamente è un po' presto per giudicare tutto il gestalt da un solo pezzo, e come testa di bestia da avere sul petto, di certo quella di un triceratopo è la scelta più azzeccata perchè più caratteristica, ma più che altro è un peccato che il culone del sauro resti appeso così dietro la schiena e basta, salvo poi vedere se unendosi a Sludge ( che ne diventerà addome e cosce ) questo effetto sarà un po' smorzato.

( Senza contare che l’originale Slog / Kakuryu aveva pure questo difetto, ma ok ^^’ )

Nelle istruzioni non viene citato il passaggio, ma l'avanzo di coda andrà poi ad incastrarsi sotto il muso del triceratopo formando il pannello dello stomaco. Un altro appunto soggettivo che muoverei è sul design della testa di Volcanicus, che, corna dorate a parte, ricorda troppo quella di Grimlock, e visto che ora Tiran non ne diventa il torso, personalmente avrei variato mettendo almeno una bocca digrigante al posto della mascherina, ma questo è solo un mio umile parere.

Slug così è ancora incompleto, dato che le spine laterali SEMBRA che siano quelle per le braccia, ma in realtà bisogna aspettare di agganciarlo al summenzionato Sludge per completare appieno il torso del gestalt, e poterci giocare anche grazie alla possibilità di agganciarlo agli arti staccabili dei vari Weaponizer, sopratutto i suoi compagni linea Junkion, gimmick questa ne accentua appunto la ludicità!

Infine, un buon inizio per questi piccoli Dinobot combinabili con questo Slug, che non sarà eccezionale ma per essere un Core combiner è abbastanza decente e presenta spunti davvero interessanti, salvo essere quantomeno dei fan della squadra dei Dinorobot, oppure si aspetta direttamente la vociferata versione del Dinoking e amen.

Meet Figi (pronounced like fidget) the rainbow naga.

She's made of three fidget slugs, a G1 Lagoona torso with Draculaura arms, and a G3 Frankie head. I rerooted the black stripes into rainbow stripes (though you can only see the red and purple in my pics unfortunately), repainted her face, and ofc strung together the tail and attached it with milliput.

I'm super pleased with how funky she is.

More of the Energon AU. This helps lay down some of the general ideas. Already some of the Alpha Q System citizens are teaming up with the Autobots like Kranix. The platform they’re standing on was supposed to be the Miranda II, but it’s now Omega Supreme because in the middle of drawing it I remembered he had a battleship mode. The Seacons were originally going to be part of the Energon toy line as Terrorcons but they were scrapped. Fittingly the Japanese Seacons typically are drones with a single sentient commander, like the Energon Terrorcons so I repurposed them.

In this version of events, Sharkticon and Slugslinger were upgraded from generics, similar to Wing Dagger. Their original identities were, imaginatively enough, Sharkron and Slug. Unicron Scales are lifted from an early concept from the G1 movie, where all Decepticons were upgraded using said scales.

The idea of designated reformatting idento computer terminals comes from an observation that the Energon characters never displayed an ability to Scan on their own, while they could in Armada and Cybertron. Making it a treaty deal so the Decepticons couldn’t sneak around and scan something to fight back was my rationale.

The Dinobot Combiner, Volcanicus Maximus, has sentient components which can all assume Robot Modes, to reflect the idea intended by Hasbro/Takara but not in the cartoon with the other Maximus combiners. Scorn is named after his movie counterpart, while the others are Skar (ankylosaur), Slash (parasaurolophus), Strafe (pachy) and Slog (styracosaurus).

The girl bot talking about Nautica is Optimus’ kid sister Ariel (a deliberate name usage because Ariel was Arcee’s Japanese name, but I don’t see Ariel becoming Elita until Cybertron.) She was a plucky teenager helping with things on Cybertron with her best friend Dion during Armada, while more of an older skewing teen by Energon, being more active in the field alongside her brother.

Okay, this is an unusual format for me. I'm used to writing on the table, but I don't think anything terrible will happen... Probably.

I've been thinking for a long time about how G1 Jetfire/Skyfire and Starscream split up and... like, what? Skyfire is almost twice as big as Starscream, why was IT blown to the Earth? It should be stronger and more powerful several times, my stupid brain does not understand.

Therefore, I decided to imagine what would have happened if not Starscream, but Jetfire got to Cybertron unharmed and the consequences of this replacement. Starscream did not study at the military academy. He didn't know Megatron. He didn't know about the Decepticons. He didn't betray anyone.

A scientist full of ambition and hope who has no place in this carnage. Who has missed too much in this life.

Starscream has not yet been in the hands of the abuser of the entire cybertron and has an idea of pride.

I'm trying my best to drive normality into Scream's smart little head. Because THEY'RE FUCKING RAISING THEIR HAND AT YOU, FLYING SPEAKER. WHERE IS YOUR PRIDE???

I love this Starscream. But not perfect, but quite funny.
