i loooooove the g/t trope of a Typical Scary Giant finding a tiny, and trying to scare said tiny. but the tiny doesn’t react, is entirely unfazed. almost…. disassociated. and the giant realizes this isn’t a ‘very brave tiny’ situation, but rather a ‘this tiny has been through something so utterly horrifying and uniquely awful that they have simply Shut Down entirely, to the point where they’re not even scared of me, a literal terrifying giant’

and from there you can have the giant decide to be not-scary for once and care for the tiny. or decide to break the tiny further. either are EXCELLENT options. wonderful trope all around
