So so,,, if Fyodor kills himself... What happens then? A paradox, of sorts? Or would he actually die?
I mean, if the poison actually took him out, what would have happened?
It's interesting how Dazai mentioned that that is why he was 'frantic', putting poison side by side with killing Fyodor by his own hands.
So is that confirmation that he would have actively died? Would that mean that Fyodor's suicide could be one of the ways to actually end him, aside from Dazai being a nullifier of his ability and killing him himself???
But what exactly classifies as 'suicide'? What if it was Nikolai who'd injected the poison? Would that have been enough for Fyodor's ability to transpire?
What if the poison is considered the offender here, and not who injected it? Like the actual chemical. Will Fyodor just... become a droplet? (Lmao 😭)
And what if there is no poison at all?? If Fyodor stabbed his own heart with a knife, then what? I imagine it's an endless cycle of the body rejecting Fyodor's consciousness and taking him back, till the body finally shrivels up and it kills him from within...
It'll be interesting to see how that plays out in the future, all the insane ways one could think of to put an end to that monstrosity of an ability...

Wait, if fyodor's ability is takeing over the body of the one that kills him, then what would happen if Elise killed him? Since Elise is not a human and Mori is abel to control Elise. Would Fyodor just becaues Mori? But that woulden't also make sense becaues Elise and Mori are 2 different charecter, they are related, but not the same. Idk guys, tell me what you think.

I forgot smth while analyzing chap 108
(Manga spoil, it's about the dynamic of sigma's actions in chap 96 to 108)
While watching bsf S5's first episode 1 remembered nikolai's request to sigma to read Fyodor in order to know the true nature of his ability and be able to kill him.
I had forgotten since the point when dazai told sigma that Fyodor and nikolai would probably kill him, when out of the prison. That one line turned the 'Fyodor - dazai - nikolai + sigma' dynamic, to a 'Fyodor + nikolai - sigma - dazai' one (even though it quickly changed again as dazai got sigma to become his ally).
I don't know if that was what dazai was hoping by telling this to sigma, but it indeed got us here, even when in reality the situation (prior chuuya's arrival) was more like 'Fyodor vs dazai, nikolai arbitrator and dazai's chosen item sigma'.
[A little reminder, nikolai wants to save Fyodor cause he's his friend. But in order to be 'free', he wants to do the to kill him and prove he isn't controlled by his emotions. Since he can't chose, he leaves the decision to events and organizes the 'escape the prison' game.]
In reality, we don't really know if nikolai plans to kill sigma after the game, since it will happen only if Fyodor wins, and even Nikolai himself doesn't know which one of Dazai and Fyodor will escape.
So by organising the interaction in the control room, Fyodor got sigma to refocus on the 'what is your power' question and put the airport one a little on the side, even though it's not for nikolai anymore that sigma wants this infornation.
Does Fyodor know that nikolai wants this information? Does he know that he asked sigma to get it (even though sigma isn't moving to fulfil this request) and is it why his look gaze darkened when the question was asked?
All this made me notice that we didn't see gogol 'recently' and I think he will play a role very soon, but that, only the next chapters will tell...

I have THREE bsd predictions and i feel as though they will all come true. if they do i am the bsd messiah.
Stormbringer will be animated into a movie between season 5-6 (dead apple style) so the manga can get ahead (I AM NOT READY)
Fyodor is 100% alive. We don’t know his ability yet and the Jesus line before he died was a telltale sign.
Bones will fuck up Stormbringer panels. Specifically the panel of Dazai smiling on the stairs as Chuuya goes to fight the equivalent of Godzilla. that one in particular. they absolutely will fuck it up.
See you bitches in 1-2 years when everything I say is correct 🏂🏂
#i don’t ask to be correct I just am#also hot take but i kinda wish fyodor did die this season#like figure out his ability and everything so we know for sure he’s dead#but whatever#at least stormbringer soukoku will be animated soon#bsd#bungou stray dogs#bungo stray dogs#bsd stormbringer#bungou stray dogs stormbringer#bsd fyodor#fyodor dostoevsky#dazai osamu#bsd dazai#chuuya nakahara#bsd chuuya#soukoku#skk#follow for more deranged screaming abt this show (esp soukoku BOY do I have thoughts)

Crime and Punishment
The extension I gave him relates to the 2 sets of arms, as I'm sure most have noticed. The top set is the permanent one, and the bottom set is the manifested one.
To explain: CP will walk around most of the time worh his singular, normally positioned set of arms. The second pair only forms and materializes from his form when Punishment calls to **Execution**. And will retreat afterward.
Going into what I'll have CP do, considering we don't know much of Fyodor's ability and its exact rule-set. CP will follow a path of standard executioner. Whomever is pointed out, CP will follow a harrowing, relentless pursuit to execute them. Unlike Fyodor, a touch is not the preferred method for CP. Once appointed, a target CP is analytical, calculated, and adopts a very "terminator-like" approach to things. He will not be hindered or slowed and will always execute the target. Unlike Fyodor's he is ruthless, however.
Anything that applies goes. |"Decapitation- disembowelment, dismemberment", he does not care for theatrics. And neither do most of the other unleashed abilities.
Though CP is faulty, and can/ will refuse cooperation with his oh-so hated user...
So
The middle weapon is a sword - symbolically throughout history, swords were much more often used for execution than axes were.
The sword is also the weapon of judgment and justice. The depiction of justice typically wars a blindfold, holding a sword and scales.
That is the muddle part
The top part is a circle/ circlet/ halo. In poetry and literature, circles and circles symbolize divinity and purity, perfection. As it was in ancient times, monarchs wearing circlets of gold as a representation they were picked by the divine to rule. In poetry, the circle is also seen as infinity, a perfect geometrical form. No corners, uniform, and perfectly even on every side. So the top represents heaven/ divinity.
The bottom is a chasm, a deep drop into a pit. With steep walls and no escape, under the watchful eyes of the vile.
The bottom part is damnation, failure, hell.

Imagine: Fyodor standing in the control room, smug as hell as he watches his impending victory. He’s sent chuuya off to deal with Dazai and he’s all alone, he thinks he’s won. Then, a soft touch on his cheek, a voice echoing in the darkness, “Want to hear an android joke?”

Okay so today chap 108 of bsd was published and I read the raws... Here's a theory
(Spoilers, you've been warned!)
So sigma shows fyodor a memo he's found in a precedent chapter, and he starts convulsibg and screaming. Very weird from fyodor. Then he asks which year it is, and we understand that some things off. That it is not fyodor talking.
We learned in dead apple that crime and punishment are two personalities in one body, and we don't actually know which one is the fyodor we usually see... But it's very clear that the one talking to sigma in the first part of the chapter isn't him. He even calls his double a demon, the devil and so on... And then something stroke me.
He usually refers to the other fyodor as 奴(yatsu= him) and at some point, while saying " '奴/ he' is the devil my weakness gave birth to", he corrects himself by replacing '奴/ he' by 'ぼく' , which means 'I', but not like we usually write it. He uses it between curly quotes and when referring to the habitual Fyodor.
And then I reread some parts of the dialogue and surprise! The "new" fyodor uses 僕 (how it's normally written) when talking about himself.
You can even admire the switch between the two ✨ (I didn't tilt at first but it's eso obvious now)
Asagiri isn't the type to write things by instinct, if that didn't mean anything, he wouldn't use two distinct ways of writing 'I' or make the new Fyodor correct himself. Furthermore, that little habit of talking about another personality as another I, with of course a way of distinguishing the two (here, the use and hiragana and kanji), is a very current thing for people that show a dissociative identity disorder (even if it's a bit different here since it's because of the ability but that doesn't change my point). The hesitation between the 'he' and the 'I' is so instinctive when it's real that I don't think Fyodor would think of faking something like this. He is very intelligent of course, but if it's not something that is reflected when talking, I don't think he would notice he used this when talking about his double.. Which he never does, so it's even more unlikely that he would've think about this detail.
...
Now let's continue. So, we are like sigma and can't help but doubt that sudden change in the great manipulator that Fyodor is, and so, fatally, when he flips the knife (which the other Fyodor explained to be the only way to kill him) to stab sigma, we are like "okay we were right, he was acting! ", which is enforced by the "なんてね~♬" of Fyodor. (Sorry, I don't really know how to translate it... But that's something to say when you were joking, and playing an act).
I was like... Okay, maybe fyodor is smart enough to think of the verbal tic and I was fooled too. But then, as he continued talking, I somehow felt something had changed. Of course in attitude, but that could only be a new showcase of the acting ability of Fyodor. In the drawing too, something felt different... But that couldn't possibly count as a proof. Then I did like before and reread the dialogue... And new surprise! Now, he is using ぼく, just like his double was referring to him!
Then I was sure : crime and punishment are two personalities, and one of them (probably punishment but I'm not sure) wants to stop the evil plans of the other, but is not powerful enough to do it. He doesn't even have enough influence to front (take control of the body) and needs a trigger : the memo sigma showed him. He is so weak that he has a very short amount of time in control, and he knows it. That's why he told sigma to quickly take the knife, not to stab him more easily.
...
Now, let's talk about that knife. When the habitual fyodor regains control over the body and tries to cover this up as an act to take advantage of sigma, he says the knife is just one of a security guard he took beforehand. ... ...........
That would make sense in terms of "its very unlikely for him to have a personal item in a prison as secured as meursault"... But it's fyodor we're talking about. If he needs that knife, he'll find a way to have it.
And if that wasn't obvious enough... Would the guards really have knifes as weapons? Like, they're in Meursault, with the most dangerous criminals... A knife would do nothing against an ability user, so I think it's really Fodor's knife and he lied about it.
Since his double is very rarely active as the "which year is it now?" tells us, he himself wants to have this knife on him. Cause it's dangerous to him, it's the only thing that can kill him. So he wants complete control over it, and keeps it on him all the time.
And I'd like to point it out... If this knife wasn't that dangerous to him, why would he find a lie as unlikely as "it's a guard's knife" ?
He panicked.
He wanted sigma to shift his attention to anything but that knife, so he banalized it, and made his other personality's warning pass as an act to regains control over the situation. Which he nailed, by staging sigma, covering all this with an abundant amount of speech very inhabitual for him... And mentioning the agency, the only aspiration of sigma in the moment. And when he sees that it doesn't works and sigma is still trying to fight back, he proposes to let sigma use his ability to take the intel he wants... With the risk of exposing himself to Fyodor's ability... To make him doubt, and fear, and gain some time while making him forget about his double and the true nature of the knife.
(OMG someone pointed smthing out and I have a new theory on fyodor's intentions in this interaction! Here's the link)
Hope you enjoyed reading! 😽

Just rewatched The Dead Apple and noticed something about Fyodors ability.
Every other ability that doesn't have a manifestation and is brought to life by the fog follows these 2 rules.
They form a copy of their wielder with a blank face with glowing eye's, and they have their Gem weak spot on their foreheads.
The only abilities that don't follow these rules are ones that have a manifestation and even then the humanoid ones still keep the gem on their forehead.
But then theres Fyodor, his ability not only manifests in a different outfit, but with a fully detailed face.
And his gem is on his hand, which is completely different to every other ability.
So Fyodors ability has not only completely ignored the drive to kill its wielder, but also does not manifest like any other, It breaks all three rules of the fog. The only other abilities to have faces are Elise and the Tiger, both of which have physical forms with faces outside of the fog. does this mean that Fyodors ability can actually manifest as a physical person outside the fog too? is that how he's communicating with the outside world from the prison? it opens up so many questions.
But there is one other ability that also breaks all three of these rules; Atsushi's
The tiger has its gem on the back of its neck, it also has a full face and at one point it attacks rashomon instead of Atsushi which is the only other time an ability deviates from attacking its user.
We know Fyodor was the one who told Shibusawa about Atsushi, and that he somehow knew his ability was special even before it had manifested. there is some connection between them that hasn't yet been explored and I'm really excited to see where it goes.
BSD is one show where details like this are rarely just coincidences, and considering how much mystery there is around Fyodors ability I'm sure that there is way more going on then it would first seem.
Analysing this gave me a new theory about Fyodors ability but I'll put that in a separate post, for now please tag me if this post inspired any new theories for you, I'd love to here them
