So, Ratio is totally definitely somehow related to titankin, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His codex is very similar to that of the furiae philosopher, and he holds it pretty similarly to that of the furiae philosopher.
The titankin even turn into statues of themselves when idle! You know who has a bunch of statues of himself? Dr. Veritas Ratio!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only that, but they have the same color palette! The same blues, whites, and golds are used!
(And there's the idea of Ratio being really old -- discussed more in-depth here -- that comes from the simulated universe, which would align with theories of Amphoreus being a world being replayed within remembrance crystals, which might explain March's reaction to being in proximity to Amphoreus)

first of all shoutout to this theory that got me going into this side quest with this idea in mind 🫡
ok now. lemme offer my take on ratio being titankin or otherwise related to nikador in some way
major spoilers for 3.0 ofc
so obvious detail out of the way first
Tumblr media
1. why does it look like him. holding a big book n all
2. "rationality"
3. this might be a translation thing but like. the "reason behind their creation" part is so weird. like yeah ig they have "philosopher" in their name but we know they were created by nikador so why would we assume they ever wanted to study universal knowledge. like why bring this up at all. unless-
4. "further spreading madness masquerading as philosophy" when our guy is all about spreading knowledge and. well. philosophy
on the other end of the spectrum we have gnaeus, who says this
Tumblr media
like this immediately made me go "Hm. sounds like a certain someone i know" (while ratio isn't about "crushing" but rather "healing", the sentiment is overall the same)
we later find out that gnaeus is actually a fragment of nikador. so. there is a part of nikador that hates foolishness
^actually a sub theory for that, unrelated to ratio (for now): the reason nikador created philosophers at all was for this reason. for all we know the part of them that's gnaeus is the one who made this choice specifically. idk how titans' inner worlds work tho
so we already got two threads connecting ratio to nikador [insert "which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice" meme here]
there's also. him showing up in castrum kremnos. what the fuck was that. like i have my own theories for why that is but it's still such an odd location. unless it was a clue 🧐
now, to give my own take on these connections
in "i once was in arcadia" we meet a furiae archer who falls in love with a human and even goes to live with him in okhema. her whole mindset about strife changes, she doesn't want to fight anymore, she wants... to live, basically. she even ends up turning on her own kin in the end to protect the citizens of okhema
this tells us that the titankin can essentially turn human, and appreciate humanity enough to want to live among them. she even gives us a brief explanation for how their kind talks and thinks
Tumblr media
cerces, the titan of reason
this does confirm that they all CAN think and speak. we actually speak to a few of them over the main story, and while they don't quite behave like humans, they do have the basics down at least. and not all of them want to fight, either, like. they don't attack us after that or smth
so. what's to say that a titankin that happens to get into a major overflow of cerces' power, and then also live among humans (or at least watching them) wouldn't eventually completely reverse their bloodthirst?
this is a lot of reaching, so let me attach another thread, which is how many details in cerces line up with ratio
from the voice of constellation:
"They wield authority over ecologies, knowledge, and rationality" "They allow people to study and rest there, and convey their knowledge to the ignorant tirelessly and generously." | pretty straightforward stuff really. sharing knowledge, encouraging people to study, eradicating ignorance. just as ratio does/wishes to do
now another bit that's a bit more reaching (or just a separate theory stuck inside this one. you pick) but if it is indeed connected i will feel like the smartest person on earth, "Cerces graces the world in the form of a grand and holy tree. Where they take root, vegetation spouts to become a massive forest." there is a theory in the starrail universe that's connected to hi3 - and hi3 is clearly relevant in this arc - about the imaginary tree, and how it is the origin of all life. cerces is literally a giant tree that creates life. when it comes to humans and humanoids, as we can see with the titankin, they create "reason", which i believe to be more accurately described as cognition, since there are actual real life theories that define life as the ability to cognize (this is also like the only reason i can think of why they'd connect these two elements together 😭 since as far as i can tell, there isn't any greek god they're directly inspired by, other than maybe athena for reason and pan for nature?)
all this^ extremely long paragraph to say "you know who uses imaginary powers? 👀" (yeah that one's flimsy lmao. BUT! his powers are connected to knowledge too. also this is more like a small detail in this theory ok)
all this boils down to the thought of, what if a certain titankin somehow got cerces' blessing? they managed to develop thought and knowledge all on their own, and so cerces recognized that, gave them powers, protected them, maybe even helped them gain a more human-like form so they could come and go into the garden of wisdom as they please with no disturbance.
which connects to the second thing we need to question - how did he leave amphoreus?
there are a few options there.
1. he left before aquila decided to not let anyone leave
2. aquila doesn't consider him a person/alive (since he is technically made of stone) so they let him through? yeah idk if that's how it works lol but anyway
3. he left in a similar way to what we see herta use at the end of 2.7, aka not leaving through the sky but through a doorway of some sort
4. cerces protected him, somehow
(5?. i've seen smth abt how beings as strong or stronger than emanators can leave amphoreus which is an option too, but. that's a whole other theory that i don't think applies here. might look into it in a future post tho)
so basically how i think it went down:
ratio was created by nikador as a titankin, specifically a furiae philosopher
he gained enough consciousness through the overflow of cerces' power to just. be alive, beyond spreading strife
he started seeking knowledge, as was perhaps his original nature - either through the part of nikador that was gnaeus, or if nikador was just Like That before the black tide
and here we can go down two ways
either cerces recognized this effort and gave him their blessing, or he just. did it all on his own. even straight up built himself a more human looking body maybe.
i'm actually leaning towards that second option because of a certain detail i did not bring up yet - statues. the titankin are literally statues. they go from statues to moving and then back to statues (albeit crumbling ones) once they're killed. you know who else has a Thing with statues......
so going back to the order of things, if i had to guess, i'd say he created statues of a human - either an already existing one, or one he imagined - and somehow, through science or titan bullshit, he imbued himself into this statue so that it functioned like the titankin do in a sense, while still seeming human in any other way
and then he made even more copies of this statue. which connects to a different "what the fuck is up with dr ratio" theory i posted before! i highly recommend checking it out as it does offer some more ideas and information about this whole concept 🫡
after feeling solid enough in his ability to live through these statues, he decided that he's learned everything amphoreus has to offer, and he wants to see the world beyond the sky. he wants to share knowledge he's learned in amphoreus with others, too (perhaps that "solving a planet's energy crisis on his own" bit from this hoyolab article is related to how the express is stopping by here for an energy supply. hm).
if i go back to the "how he left" section from earlier, i'm leaning towards "he left before the black tide and aquila closing their eyes etc etc etc" which is why he hasn't come back to help, as in, he didn't know it happened
or alternatively, he did somehow learn about it happening - maybe even tried to come visit home and found out that he can't even reach it anymore. maybe hoyo is playing 5d chess and are gonna reveal that he placed the divergent universe project in penacony of all places was so he can study memoria in the meantime and thus find a way back home. tho i doubt that :P
as for why i like this theory and hope to see it or a variation of it go down (but i'm not picky, any ratio backstory will do 😩): stories about a non-human character loving humanity so much that they become like them are just so. *crying screaming throwing up punching a wall sobbing on the floor* yeah.
this is a small detail i can't find anywhere else to put but i love thinking abt it. the owl on his shoulder. and all the owl scrolls spread around amphoreus. maybe he created it himself, something to remember home by. or, maybe he took one of those scrolls and reshaped it for himself, keeping a piece of his world at all times.
and there's an extra tragedy there, too - nous. if ratio's original purpose was accumulating more knowledge, but as he gained more consciousness he decided to share it instead, then nous rejecting him is essentially rejecting the existence he chose for himself (one might argue that that's already the case, but like, this adds another layer of sadness okay? 🥺)
i guess the main question is. does it affect the current story somehow? nah not really, at least not as it currently stands. which is why i don't think this will actually go down - at least not in the main story. maybe in a trailblaze continuance or companion mission - but it's still fun to speculate!
thank you for reading and apologies for any grammar issues or typos 🫡 if you have more to add - either more evidence that i missed that might support this theory, or other ways it may have gone down - i encourage you to do so!

Alright lets see what Ampherus is all about and I hope that's the right name because I just remember something on A and that there's a p somewhere but I am not completely sure.
TLDR after finishing it:
Story: great. I think its well written and the mysteries are interesting.
Budget allocation; 85% cutscenes, 15% dialogue scenes. Honestly the difference in quality is STAGGERING and it is VERY noticable.
The bossfight: fucking awful because its %maxHP def-ignoring AoE damage. No I am not kidding. Let me repeat that: the boss has %maxHP def-ignoring AoE damage! Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?! Honestly good luck because unless you can out-DPS it there is actually NOTHING you can do. (except switch to easy mode. That drops the boss' level to 63. My Jingliu 3-shot it)
Its AmphOrEus. Eh I was close.
Ah if only we could have some characters sitting or leaning on a table. Presentation is a big part of the story after all, and this is a complaint Im brining with me from all of Hoyo's games lately.
What's the point of custom music on the Astral Express if every time I load it the music resets?
This cut???? Pre- and post- cut arent even close!
Was probably because Sunday was blocking the window. The lack of the window made me really confused about where we were even standing.
That forehead touching black screen is WHY YOU USE 3D MODELS SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY ANIMATE IT. Sorry, HI3 actually started using 3D models as 3D models again and now it just feels very lazy when HSR does black screens instead.
Oh my god was that "Some time later" black screen REALLY necessary?
We're right next to the train and nothing happened! Just cut that some time later screen it completely killed the momentum of the cutscene!
Okay I actually took a shower and got some time to think. So far I really like this! We kinda go to a place nobody knows anything about for fuel reasons, but as soon as we arrive mysteries start up. It made me more curious about Amphoreus.
I KNEW IT. I KNEW THE STATUES MOVED.
The budget gap between the cutscene and dialogue is STARK
There's so many missed oppertunities to really show the strength of 3D models and Hoyo has barely been doing it for years now. How does PGR with its VN style of story show their story better than Snowy not even able to toss our baseball bat back to us?
I really like the whole memory of the past thing, makes sense with Remembrance here and clears up the confusion I had earlier, being that I though it was switching from night to day. But actually its present and past. That's cool.
Also Tribbie just poofed into thin air lol.
Wow the low budget "we cant even show Stelle on the Dromas" into a high budget cutscene really caught me off-guard. I know Im repeatedly bringing it up but the difference in quality is staggering.
Wow they sped up the "turning around" animation and it didnt look horrible. Good job. I like. Improvement.
The Furiae Praetor completely ignores taunt. Uuuuuuh okay then sure I guess.
I was just gonna bring up how I like Castorice but Hoyo brought up birds again and just please dont go philosophical with it...
These water physics are fantastic holy shit is this where the budget went??
Wait the upper water physics are worse? Why? Come on! The downstairs water was great!
Ooh Stellaron is here too. I hope they bring back that we can hear the Stellaron, that was really cool when it happened in Belobog.
The intrusive thoughts win again!
I think Im also gonna stop my budget complaints here. Its allthrough around every corner except every 6th corner where theres a high quality cutscene or fantastic water physics.
Ah shit March is here and she just leaked that the universe exists. She lacks critical information!
Our own bath has the good water physics lets go!
Wait a minute, why did the thread tremble? It only trembles at a lie! What part of what I said was a lie about the Stellaron in my body?
Tumblr media
Lol you can just leave and the credits roll
Aaaaaand it stuck my game on mute forcing an actual relaunch. What the fuck Hoyo? OH WIAT NVM I just had to manually quit to title and its back.
Tumblr media
No, trust me, my Fire TB can tank a star. We wont be having issues with me tanking damage. I just hope that the team is just me and Phainon.
How the hell did this bridge stop anyone from entering? Sure, leaving might be a problem, but I could make that jump down and then just walk up the other end. This bridge just exists to be fancy, not to actually serve as a bridge considering if they just built the lower section slightly higher, a bridge wouldnt be needed at all.
Tumblr media
PLeassseeeeee just give me trial charactersssssss
It would be so so so fitting for this partttt.
WE REALLY FIGHT STRIFE WITHOUT TRIAL CHARACTERS COME ON
Did they really have to clarify that Mydeimos is Mydei? They're having way too much fun with this over-the-text clarification.
Its a race against time! We have to warn them and get ready right away! Lets play the normal calm music the city normally has :) that will fit the tone! :D
Imagine a world where we could actually see the TB jump onto the scale...
I like that all our past memories were of the Stellaron Hunters. Definitely feels like we're being set up to work alongside them. And if Hoyo wants to go wild (which they havent been that much lately) they could temporarily make us leave the Astral Express in order to work with the Stellaron Hunters to achive something. That would be really cool but also very wild. It could happen, as long as the writers dont write on shit and make Stelle forget again once I click away the "new path" screen.
Also wow we just got Remembrance just like that? I mean, it was fitting, but its kinda crazy how Belobog is still the best in regards to giving us a new path. Belobog > Amphoreus > Penacony for me. The weapons have REALLY gone downhill tho. The hat was fun but now we just have a pen? Give me a blade or a gun next time, I want to see Stelle with an assault rifle in her hands.
Oh shit Remembrance is a new playable path. I have no light cones!
Well at least I have something new to spend my stamina on! Remembrance stuff!
Oh wow I just looked through TB's and Mem's skills and oh boy I need to build some other tank units because Mem sounds like an insane support for my Jingliu
Oh my god IceTB makes me want to run Jingliu Bronya Mem and Sparkle because oh my god I want to let her go on an absolute rampage
Oh it never hit me that Mem can fucking die until Luocha healed her.
Also Mem is so close to both Meme and Emm I cant what is this help-
...You get a free Victory In a Blink after the section is over. I could've saved some currency...
Okay kinda late on this, but I wish Agy would've actually been ready to kill us if it meant protecting the city. It just, feels overly safe to have her go "yeah I never actually inteded to kill them, it was just to put them under pressure :)" like, Hoyo used to give us playable characters that killed other people. It just feels overly safe, like as to alienate as few people as possible from liking her. I dont think it would change Agy's character much at all, and its not like TB and Dan ever finds out she never meant to kill us, Agy just told Tribbie that little fact. Just, remove that little scene and nothing changes about her - except that it doesnt feel like she was written as safely as they could write her.
Whohooo they gave us Story Agy! Finally! Do they not have Phanion ready yet or what? Please do this more Hoyo it used to be so immersive.
Well they just used the exact same black screen 3 times in a row...
I like the puzzle mechanics but do they really have to put a marker handholding you through how to solve it?
I know I said I wouldnt bring up the budget... but they couldnt even animate Castorice coughing. Just have a visual novel for dialogue moments at this point...
Gnaeus is one of the best characters ngl
The refight with Strife was not made with the IceTB in mind. She keeps getting oneshot during Strife's turns right away due to not having enough HP from relics. Whoopdedoo here comes FireTB again.
Kinda sad that the only way this fight is hard is because it deals % max HP damage that ignores defense while cutting out max HP by 50% constantly.
Like, what the fuck?
...... and the boss attacks before using the %maxHP def-ignoring attacking.
I think its safe to say that this is the worst designed boss in the entire game.
You're telling me that we did all that and it still attacked the big statue guy? Like yeah it couldn't keep beaming it forever, but we couldn't even stop it in time? Cmon now. You cant just make a bullshit boss and then not even let us finish it.
Yeah that was the only boss I ever turned on Easy mode for in any Hoyo game. I am not going to try to figure out a way to beat motherfucking %maxHP def-ignoring damage. If casual mode didnt lower its levels by like 20 so my Jingliu could 3-shot it, I would've just put down the game and concluded my playthrough there.
I hope to fucking god it doesnt have that move in the weekly battle, but I have a feeling it just fucking might.
Suddenly Herta feels... very random. But I cant be too mad since it seems that FINALLY something is happening while we aren't there. Now here's to hoping that they dont blow the fuse too early and Herta comes to Amphoreus, because why the fuck would she?
(deep sigh)
So how does the Astral Express travel? Because I dont know what low on fuel means for it, but I dont think trips back and forth across the cosmos would be good for the fuel situation. If those teleporting points are actually used by them, 1. How the fuck do they work? 2. That is a massive security issue if someone can just warp into anywhere.
Whatever. What is the difference of us being glanced by Aeons and Herta being glanced by Aeons? Because we're getting casually glanced at left and right, but for Herta it could incinerate anyone and anything near her.
Okay its been rubbing me the wrong way for a while now; what the hell is this prophecy? Most prophecies I usually hear in stories is like, this character is destined to be great! or something like this. But this prophecy literally dictates what they do. These chants and rituals include the mention of the prophecy in them, its like the entire world of Amphoreus is dictated by what the prophecy says. Its not like "oh this great boy who came from nothing will rise up and become a god" no, its "the prophecy chose this boy to grow up to become a god" like, what? What the hell is this prophecy?
Its really rubbing me the wrong way.
Hello Elysia Voice Actor.
Whaaaat the hell is happening to March? She's returning to her ice state!
Honestly the most interesting thing about Amphoreus is what is happening to March, but I actually hope that it isnt resolved at Amphoreus because Hoyo DESPERATELY needs some plot points to last longer than in just one section. Like I dont want March to be back on her feet and happy by the end of Amphoreus. I want this to drag out so that we can have some reason to go to the next area other than to just Trailblaze.

So hard to be skeptical of Ratio having a connection to Amphoreus when so many coincidences like his outfit looking distressingly like that of the furiae philosophers keeps popping up

they do imaginary damage and instruct their teammates on how to attack better. I think his obsession with his statues and all that is because he definitely once was one. And his pursuit for universal knowledge would be the defecting part he's not the soldier of madness they wanted. AND if the rationality was plundered and given to him and he was a fault Titankin it makes sense why he was rejected from the Genius Society

𝟐𝟐 𝐝𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟑

LFC 5 16 and 18?
5. Can they cry on command? If so, what do they think about to make it happen?
i don't think he's ever tried. he probably could if he did, though. he'd probably think about his father, or anything that just happens to be bothering him at the time. he goes through many cycles of woes... he is a big crier though in general, though he only does it when he's alone so it might not be apparent to people who know him.
16. What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?
the dastardly populares of course.... hes imagining arguing about grain laws with them and valiantly defeating their logic... and also members of rival philosophical schools to stoicism. hes exploding epicureans in his mind etc
18. Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?
i honestly think lfc loves everyone he loves truly and unconditionally, even if he doesn't always act like it, or his actions or the way he treats them don't seem to reflect it in the way you would expect. he won't change his behavior for the people he loves, but he does love them all the same. as for specific people he loves, in various ways: martinus of course, furia, and caecilia. some others probably as well. and people he loved, in various ways: sulla, his father, his brother, and his commander when he was in the army.

NERVOSA Announces New Album 'Jailbreak'
Tumblr media
Thrash metallers NERVOSA will release their fifth full-length album, "Jailbreak", on September 29 via Napalm Records. This will be the first NERVOSA LP with guitarist and founding member Prika Amaral on vocal duties, and it will showcase the band's new lineup completed by Michaela Naydenova on drums, Hel Pyre on bass and Helena Kotina on guitars.
Following the standalone single "Endless Ambition" with "Seed Of Death", NERVOSA serves up a second taste of what's to come. Starting off with a beautiful, epic intro, "Seed Of Death" features philosophical lyrics that explore questions about the never-ending cycle of life, grabbing an omnipresent issue relevant to all of us.
Amaral on the new single and album: "I'm very happy with the result of this song and our new album. I always wanted to have a song like this but it never happened for different reasons and now we can finally make it happen. Also, we were able to take even more risks and do new things. With two guitars, the doors open to a whole new world of possibilities. In fact NERVOSA had two guitars in the beginning, but then we decided to go with one guitar for logistical reasons, since it would be easier to move with one less person for tours. Now NERVOSA has a much bigger structure that allowed this addition, and we are really enjoying this moment of the band. The process of writing this record was the most fun and brought the most musicality, enriching the band."
Kotina adds: "I think 'Jailbreak' is NERVOSA's most revolutionary record, both musically and lyrically. It was a very challenging process but at the same time very constructive. We were able to take care of every detail until we obtained the best result."
Among its various themes, "Jailbreak" explores messages of breaking free from everyone and everything holding you back from doing exactly what you want to do. It encourages the listener to be proud of who they are, and to trust in themselves and the strength that lies within them. The album kicks off with charging "Endless Ambition", a track previously released in early 2023 that acted as a first harbinger for everything that is about to come on the album. The track immediately showcases the incredibly powerful attitude and talent of Amaral as frontwoman. Raging "Suffocare", which deals with several aspects of toxic relationships, and "Ungrateful" continue on the path of the intense opening track. Relentless title track "Jailbreak" attacks with a thrash metal chorus and roaring guitar solos. As a very special treat, NERVOSA spices up the intense track "When The Truth Is A Lie" with none other than an impressive guest contribution from legendary EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt, while INFECTED RAIN/DEATH DEALER UNION vocalist Lena Scissorhands provides another strong guest feature by lending her voice on "Superstition Failed". "Elements Of Sin" features some of the album's most insane guitar work and thundering vocals, before uncontrollable closing track "Nail The Coffin" seals the 13-track album with a forceful thrash banger.
In true NERVOSA style, the album's lyrical themes comment on our society in a direct, critical manner, with messages delivered through intensely fast-twitching, raw soundscapes. On "Jailbreak", the band continues their powerful collaboration with Martin Furia, who produced the four-piece's successful previous records.
"Jailbreak" track listing:
01. Endless Ambition 02. Suffocare 03. Ungrateful 04. Seed Of Death 05. Jailbreak 06. Sacrifice 07. Behind The Wall 08. Kill Or Die 09. When The Truth Is A Lie (feat. Gary Holt) 10. Superstition Failed (feat. Lena Scissorhands) 11. Gates To The Fall 12. Elements Of Sin 13. Nail The Coffin
NERVOSA 2023 is:
Prika Amaral - Vocals and guitars Helena Kotina - Guitars Hel Pyre - Bass Michaela Naydenova - Drums

Interpreting the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series
The latest FFXIV patch gave us the last part of the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse raid series, which pulled even more from DoD with the Eggs of Resurrection and variations of the mother angel/final song rhythm game bosses in DoD 1/3. We still don't seem to have the whole picture of what went on, but someone read my NieRpost series and emailed me out of curiosity about wtf was going on there, so while i with on one for Automata, here's my rough understanding:
The impetus of this raid series seems to be that somehow an Egg of Resurrection, as in DoD 1, has ended up in the FFXIV world filled with information about the characters of NieR Automata, giving it the ability to reproduce them in a corrupted form. This included a copied version of the Red Girls (aka N2), who is the personification of the Machine Lifeforms' network, and seems to be aspiring to end the world in a 'final song'-like ritual, much like the Flower in DoD 3 and the Mother Angel in DoD 1.
This is not the motivation N2 appeared to have in Automata, despite their sadism and the symbol of the Church of the Angels/Cult of the Watchers at one point appearing tattooed on (the anthropomorphic machine lifeform) Eve. In Automata, the machines were trying to evolve beyond their limited form, experimenting with copying human societies, using the war with the androids as a catalyst. But we saw in DoD1 how the Eggs of Resurrection create corrupted versions of characters like Furiae, so maybe...
2B and 9S also seem to have been reproduced without the corruption? These are quite 'young' versions of them, much as we encounter them at the outset of Automata: 9S is much less traumatised and still dismissive of the Machine Lifeforms having any real subjectivity, while 2B is still trying to suppress her emotions. They seem to understand the intentions of N2 and want to stop it, and to that end, 9S hacks the Machine Lifeforms and takes control.
To counteract this, the Egg creates a copy of 2B it can control - possibly through trial and error given the room full of dead 2Bs we find in the Copied Factory. Eventually it succeeds, in the form of 2P. 9S almost gets her with the machines, but Anogg and Konogg and the player intervene. 2P quickly recruits us to help her force 9S out of the network in The Copied Factory, then asks the player to get her a macguffin that will seize control of the network or something?
In The Puppet's Bunker, the Egg seems to be able to create a copy of the whole YoRHa bunker and the alien spaceship, so 2P no longer needs the player's help. Control by the Egg (i.e. by God) is signified by a white uniform. 2B shows up, fighting the white androids. The player fights their way to the heart of the alien spaceship, where the 2Ps have been agglomerating together to make the 'compound 2P' - not yet sure the motivation for this! Along the way they see a machine resembling the Flower, with a similar ring of magic attack, but it's presumably not complete. Afterwards, 2B departs with 9S's body and the dorfs point blame fingers at each other.
In The Tower at Paradigm's Breach, we've finally seen the Egg, which Anogg enters, and finds herself reproduced by it. Somehow after this she links up with 2B and 9S, and they take her to visit another world - presumably Earth as of Automata! Konogg attempts to go to the Egg to find her again, but when the player arrives, it spawns a lot of 2Ps and then flies up, manifesting the tower from Automata.
Most of the bosses in Paradigm's Breach are virtual records of characters from NieR Replicant/Gestalt stored in the machines' network, but probably not significant beyond that. The funicular sequence where you fight the two (something)-Zhi robots is similar to the final sequence of Automata when 9S and A2 are climbing the tower in parallel, and the robots are named after Chinese philosophers. The first really new boss comes at the top of the tower, where N2 attempts to use the Egg to ascend, becoming a flower themed creature named first False Idol, then in the second phase, Her Inflorescence.
After the player defeats her, 2B, 9S and Anogg attempt to seal the portal... leading to Anogg going to the other side. They succeed, and the Egg is destroyed, along with all its living creations in the FFXIV world including 2B and 9S. Distraught, Konogg flees, but the player can get weekly messages from him by doing a short sidequest.
How all this could have begun remains very unclear! One startling idea I have is that the Ark launched by the Machine Lifeforms is actually an Egg of Resurrection, though nothing specific really points to this. We do still have Konogg's logs from the weekly quests to come, so maybe we'll get some answers by the time 6.0 drops!

AA : Je ne me suis jamais senti victime puisque je me suis engagé.
