Insektober day 3: Patrol!

Lukanus takes advantage of his patrol duty by stealing the Verigreens' tomatoes! There's plenty in the patch so it's not like the Verries will starve, it's just generally dickish behavior. Like he bit into one with his mandibles! Have some consideration for others, man!

Kretinus is unsure about this whole situation-- he trusts Lukanus since he's his boss and his friend but he's not comfortable with stealing. He supposes Lukanus knows better than him, so he goes along with his plan. Tomatoes are pretty tasty, after all. Kretinus doesn't get to eat them very often in day to day life in Krud City since they don't cultivate them within the stump.

This is absolutely something Lukanus does repeatedly! For as loyal of a soldier as Lukanus is, he doesn't feel he "deserves" the ascetic rules and restrictions of Krud life and often picks and chooses what to follow and what to ignore. He is absolutely this way about food, and tries to be secretive about indulging in Verigreen flavors (he cannot just ask the Verries for dinner because he thinks it would be traitorous of him to treat them as equals!) so he engages in very pest-like behavior whenever he can.

Nova plops Vi's gift in front of her with a happy neigh! Inside there were brand new boxing gloves that had designs of wolves and other predators, as well as a letter from Caitlyn saying there was an extra gift for her later in the day. Nova neighs a happy holidays to Vi, then trots off!

"Oh! Uh- hi there little guy..." Vi waved at the creature, watching them plop down a box with a letter taped to the top, her eyes following them as they wandered off again.

"Well, you know what they say; Better to not look a gift horse in the mouth." She chuckled to herself, shaking her head as she tugged the bow off and looked at the contents inside, snagging the letter and reading it over.

"Well I'll be..." She smiled, feeling up the material and stuffing the letter into her pocket for safe keeping, "Another surprise? I wonder what that could be."
