This au is heavily inspired by Frozen, taking some similar story beats from the movie. Tails is pretty much the role of Anna in the au. When Sonic's powers start to get out of control, he accidentally hits Tails with his ice powers, causing him to have a white streak of fur on his ear.

Not wanting to hurt Tails again, Sonic runs away, but in the process his emotions accidentally set off an eternal winter.

Tails sets off to find Sonic, both to help his older brother and to put an end to the eternal winter.

Sonic/Frozen Au

I'm thinking about writing a Sonic/Frozen Au sometime soon. The story itself will be centered around Sonic and Tails and them reconnecting through their brotherhood.

In the meantime, here are some notes I made for this au

Sonic is Elsa (of course) with uncontrolled ice powers. His ice powers are caused by chaos energy that he was born with (which also granted him his speed). He was meant to be crowned king of Mobotropolis when his powers were revealed, forcing him to run away.

Tails is Anna, trying to reconnect with his older brother and save their kingdom from an eternal winter. Sonic found him as baby one day when he had snuck out of the castle, being adopted by Sonic and his parents soon after that.

Knuckles and Amy are Kristoff and Sven. The two are siblings, having grown up together, Knuckles being very protective of Amy even though she insists she can handle herself. (There's no romance of course.)

Eggman is Hans, because why not?

Chip is Olaf because it was either him or Omochao.

Sonic's quills are blue because of his powers.

Sonic is 11 while Tails is 4 in the prologue.

In the present day, Sonic is 16 while Tails is 9.

That's about all I have for right now, but if any of you guys have more ideas, let me know!

The aforementioned Ice-related Sonic~

His backstory is that he and Tails were in this ice cave investigating something probably Eggman related when it started collapsing and when they were just about to make it to the exit a magical (although they don't know this) icicle pierced Sonic's skull. At first everything seems as normal as it can be considering Sonic has brain damage and the fact the icicle doesn't melt but one day ice starts to form on his chest...

Eventually it's revealed that the icicle that pierced him was magical of the very bad kind. It was like an infection of sorts and eventually drove Sonic to seek out that ice cave, obtain an icicle and attack people with it- resulting in more people being infected.

Due to the ice that eventually grew on infected people's chests it called the Frozen Heart Infection.

Bits of lore and notes below:

Sonic has memory issues and his personality becomes more... dull. He's not as energetic and cheerful as before.

Sonic doesn't like anyone touching near his forehead/where the icicle is so that's why he's still got a blood stain from the icicle.

In order for the infection to actually take hold the ice needs to be touching a person, not clothing or anything like that, for an extended period of time. That's why it took awhile for anyone to notice something was very wrong. (I'm thinking somewhere between 15 - 30 seconds. Maybe it depends on how deep the ice is in your body?)

As I mentioned earlier, only anything living can be infected. This is why the infection hadn't spread outside the cave. It was trapped there... unless somebody were to help it get out.

Tails was actually the first person Sonic tried to stab but he managed to get into the air and out of his range in time.

Only once Sonic deemed that trying to get Tails was a lost cause did he move onto random people.

Sonic actually tried to convince Tails to come down and accept the ice's cold embrace out of a twisted feeling of love for him. That's why he didn't just immediately start stabbing random people. He wanted Tails to be the second to join them him.

Just like in the Metal Virus arc, Angel Island becomes a safe haven. The only reason none of the infected try to fly up there is because they can't concentrate for long enough. The ice inside of them slows things down, including brain function. And also the fact that Angel Island is heavily guarded just in case one of the infected manages to get high enough for long enough- like Sonic for example.

→ Taking a step back, you couldn't break the eye contact shared between you two. Eyes wide and breathing heavy, you wanted to scream- to run away from the horror in front of you, but you couldn't bring yourself to. You were frozen in place, and there was a lump in your throat. Your throat was starting to hurt.

→ All he could do was stare back blankly at you, and if you looked deep enough in those dead, grey eyes of his, you could see a spark of who he was before. A spark of your friend. Or at least that's what you wanted to see. All attempts of getting away were met with him limping closer. But he wasn't running. He wasn't trying to kill you, and you weren't sure how to feel about that.

→ You didn't know what hurt more. Seeing your best friend right in front of you as one of the infected, or the pain of knowing that if Sonic was gone, you might as well give up all hope of a better future—as well as a cure.

→ The smell of rotting flesh greeted your nose as you couldn't help but make a face of disgust. Tears pricked your eyes as you took in his appearance. His flesh was slowly rotting away, parts of his rib cage visible. He let out a whine, his voice dried and hoarse as he took another step towards you. He reached a hand out towards you, as if to tell you to take it, but you refused, shaking your head and finally managing to say something.

"Sonic?"

→ He groaned again, a faint change of voice, which only made you more confused. You thought for a moment, that if Sonic could've smiled, he would've. And taking a risk, you stepped towards him. He didn't say anything, the silence quickly becoming deafening. Although, you weren't sure if you could say anything if you tried. You weren't sure what was happening. Normally, the infected wouldn't waste a second in tackling you, digging what was left of their teeth into your throat as they feasted, trying to please a hunger that could never be satisfied. So why wasn't Sonic doing the same?

→ After that whole situation was finished and dealt with, and you deemed that maybe Sonic wasn't as much as a threat as you thought, he wasted no time in following you. It's almost as if nothing has changed, like you two were hanging out and laughing like before. Except nobody was laughing, and he wasn't alive. Not anymore, at least. You'd be lying if you said it wasn't unnerving having the mutilated corpse of your former best friend following you around, but something in you thanked whatever god there was left that you weren't alone anymore. That if you were to die, at least you'd die with your friend.

→ Eventually, you decided to try to communicate with him. You'd ask him a question, and he'd look at you and tilt his head. Almost as if as soon as you opened your mouth to speak he just zoned out. Just like he did before. Sure he's groan and whine, those were the only noises you've heard come from him lately, but you never really had a solid way to communicate with him.

→ It wasn't long until the peace and quiet you two shared was interrupted. You didn't know how, or why, but Sonic began to act differently around you. He became more needy, more desperate for any attention he could drain out of you. He started to try to get more physical, such as hugging you and trying to hold your hand. This contradicted the hedgehogs usual nature. He's always been known to tolerate physical affection only briefly, before politely asking you to stop. But not this time.

→ When his attempts of getting closer to you are either ignored or shut down, he began to grow impatient as he kept trying. But the more you turned him down, the more desperate he became. If you tried to separate from him or in the case that someone tried separating you from him, the hedgehog would grow angry and irritated, growling and opting to throw a fit. He never resorted to violence, thankfully, but somehow his growls were more terrifying. You've never heard them before.

→ But you wouldn't be lying if you said, as terrifying as this all was, that you weren't at least a little bit interested in where this could go. He was intensely dependant on you, never leaving your side and never wanting you in harms way.

→ In the case you submitted and let him hug you, despite the sour smell that made you want to vomit, he'd be happy and cheerful, as if his previous meltdown didn't happen, nor did it matter. But something about your friend getting satisfaction from you coming back to him and giving him what he wanted made your stomach turn, but you tried convincing yourself that you were just overreacting.

→ As you two sat down on the grass of a forest, your back against a tree as you dug through your backpack, you pulled out a photo. It was you, Sonic, and Tails. You sighed, running a thumb over Tails' face. You never found out about what happened to the little fox. But looking at Sonic, and the rest of the world, you could make a pretty good guess. Did Sonic know? Was he there? Knowing him, he probably sacrificed his life for his little brother.

→ This gave you an idea. Another test of yours. Hesitating for a moment, you snapped your fingers. Sonic's head snapped to look at you, with that same blank stare. You swallowed, putting the photo in front of him, on the grass.

"Look," you said, sliding the photo towards him on the ground. "Do you remember?"

→ He stared at the photo for a few minutes, before letting out a whine, slowly lifting his finger and putting it on the photo, on top of Tails. A part of you felt terrible, showing him a photo of a distant memory, of someone long gone. But another part needed to know. If he can feel joy, and anger, can he feel grief?

→ He took his hand off, staring blankly again. You couldn't tell if he didn't care, or if he lost all interest in something that wasn't related to you. Which, after his eyes drifted to the photo of you, his eyes were fixed on it. Maybe you could try again another time, but for now, your experiment was unsuccessful. But you still didn't have a solid answer as to why he acted this way towards you. And maybe you never would. But, possessive undead best friend or not, he was still here with you. And that's all you could ask for.

Heart of Chaos:

Heart of Chaos AU is formed around a prophecy made by Tikal, one about a hero that can balance peace and chaos, who will be accompanied by an equidna warrior that will treat them like kin. This au idea is based on the super sonic mural :]

Of this prophecy comes out Sonic, later renamed to Spikes, years later after Tikal's wish. The Master Emerald itself taking the form of a new life, a being of chaos energy and flesh. Spikes is "born" in a hidden chao garden in Angel Island, and is taken care of by Tikal's spirit, as she is connected to Spikes, but so is Chaos. Later, around when Spikes is 4yr, she entraps herself with Chaos in the chao garden's pond so that Chaos possibly create a doomsday even using Spikes' body. The pond becomes frozen solid where not even the hottest summers can melt it.

Once Knuckles and Spikes meet, when he is around 10 years old, this kickstarts the journey back to Angel Island, which gets rudely interrupted by Eggman releasing Chaos, and SA1 events happen. This is where Tikal and Spikes get reunited once again and she tells both Spikes and Knuckles in-depth about the prophecy and the war. She informs them the great danger that Spikes and everyone in Mobius is: if Spikes' chaos energy were to become unbalanced, it would corrupt itself, the chaos emeralds and everything in it's path, causing the destruction of Mobius itself as it would transform Spikes into an almost unrecognizable version of himself: Dark Spikes.

This is where I start jumping around the timeline and doing my own fun stuff with this concept.

Three important arcs in Heart of Chaos are SA2, Sonic 06, ShTH and particularly Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Forces. :>

Flowers In Bloom:

A hanahaki disease au focused on the romantic relationship between Amy and Blaze, but other characters are involved too! Hanahaki is very common in the Sol Dimension, so Blaze isn't surprised when the flowers take root in her lungs. Amy on the other hand... well, she's still having a great time. Mutual pining, slow burn, and useless lesbians/sapphics galore!

Daisy Duck x Cruella (Cruaisy): I started shipping them years ago when I watched this Disney short called Electric Holiday. I've made a couple AUs where Daisy works for Cruella in the fashion industry, and they become close friends and lovers in a May-December relationship. 

Tom (Tom & Jerry) x Bright Eyes (Pound Puppies Season 1): I like to headcanon that Tom and Bright Eyes are childhood friends to lovers. I explain it more in this post here.

Frank Wolff (Jungle Cruise) x Jack Sparrow (TPOTC) (SparrowWolf/WolfSparrow): I don't really ship characters from live-action movies and shows, but Disney Mirrorverse got me to ship these two goofballs.

Cinderella x Gojo (JJK) (Gojoella): Don't get me wrong. I love Sukuella, but I solely blame @peachudumplings for giving me Fairy-God-Gojo, and thus I ship Cinderella and Gojo too, lol.

Stitch (Lilo and Stitch) x Tinker Bell (Peter Pan): My reasons for crackshipping Stitch and Tinker Bell are explained in this post here.

Alice x Peter Pan (PanAlice): I've always shipped Peter Pan and Alice, but because of their Disney Mirrorverse counterparts, I shipped them harder.

Have a lil thing from my sonic lab au that Ive bad since march but never posted

After Maria died, shadow is frozen for fifty years but is only brought back so his DNA could be used on five other kids that were taken onto the arc so that they could be apart of the “shadow recreation project” Rouge, Knuckles, Sonic and Amy were all taken from their families and homes at a young age and experimented on meanwhile they tried to recreate what they did with shadow with tails which accidentally caused some genetic mutations. All six of them are siblings and deeply care for each other (despite how much the scientists on the ark want to keep them apart). They’re just trying to get by with the new abilities thrust upon them against their wishes. That and the fact they’re being trained to be super soldiers.

So I realized after making this new AU that it was kinda reminiscent of Sink.exe and my own little forces au take on it but I have completely different ideas for this one so hear me out:

Forces AU where Sonic gets thrown into space like planned but instead of dying his weird and mysterious connection with Chaos Energy keeps him alive. Well at least with everything but breathing since it's been shown Sonic has no problem breathing in space.

I'm thinking of calling this Frozen Star AU. I like the way it sounds and makes sense for what I have planned.

So it takes about a year and a half for him to get discovered since A. Because Silver is there they do win but it takes longer (as per my HC of what would happen had they not rescued Sonic) and B. Everyone on earth is more focused on restoring things on the planet itself first before they focus on space.

Then again I just thought about an alternative way of him getting discovered which im now leaning towards since it would parallel nicely with what happens to Shadow at the end of SA2....

Anyways Frozen Star Sonic has a myriad of problems from being in space too long. I even did research~ for this.

-Loss of taste and smell

-Terrible balance (Uses a wheelchair)

-Trouble hearing

-Frail bones

-Blurry vision

-More prone to getting sick

-General weakness

-Gets migraines often

Then there's some other problems he has that isn't from research:

-Extremely skinny

-Perpetually cold

-Memory problems (he mostly just remembers Tails, everyone else is fuzzy)

And now for some other details, aka the reasoning behind the AU name...

-Now has ice powers... that he has difficulty controlling

-When using said ice powers his quills start to stick up a bit, they ripple, the edges glow a light blue, and he gets a golden aura that's intensity depends on the situation
