It's spring and the sun finally rises early enough that I can have breakfast outdoors again! But I forgot how difficult it is to be left in peace to enjoy something as tempting as a slice of apple cake around here.
Morille was also very tempted, but she knew if she jumped for the cake Pandolf would jump after her thinking this was the start of a really fun game
Poldine also expressed a clear interest.
She's not a shameless snack thief like her mother but I worry that one day she will break her neck trying to convey the level of disdain she feel towards humans who do not share snacks. This was her reaction to being told "non, c'est mon gâteau":
I wish I'd filmed it so you could have seen the completely unnecessary angle at which she twisted her chin as she turned away from me and my unshared snack.

#since 4pm and i also fit in washing my sheets and an hour of dissertation work in the waiting periods#please be advised this is not a successful workday because i should have done 4 hours of dissertation work#and i used up all the olive oil so i think i have to go to costco#anyway. we've got a fresh jar of granola. grits bowls for the week (just add egg). tortillas for chimichangas.#roast chicken to strip for parts and save for broth (i already have broth now)#(actually i don't know why that needed to happen this weekend. oh cause i'm making chicken pot pie out of it on monday)#and pasta moki-style which requires fresh garlic to be Good#and hence i can only make it when my roommate is out of town!#kaylie makes things
