Sometimes the voices of the hat man give me good ideas.)#I have been vibrating with excitement for when we finally get to the chicken scene.#Because I really want to draw chickens! I love chickens! They are so optimally shaped for maximal cuteness.#That's a creature that was designed to be fluffy and sit on things. What is there to *not* love!#I know there is more significance to the whole exchange but really...I think Lan Wangji deep down just wants to hold cute creatures.#His hands are big and gentle and not meant for swords! 2014 AUTOSPORT AWARDS, Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London ; December 7th, 2014
At the star-studded Autosport Awards on Sunday night, the 16-year-old from Norfolk became the youngest-ever winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, presented annually to British motorsport’s most promising young driver. The finalists went through a gruelling series of tests. They had two days at Silverstone driving super-fast Formula 2 single-seaters, as well as the high-tech, high-powered Mercedes DTM car and jaw-dropping McLaren 650S GT3 racer. On top of this they undertook fitness assessments, simulator work and interviews.
“I had a fair idea that I was in with a shout because the tests had gone well,” said George, who also wins full membership of the Silverstone-based British Racing Drivers’ Club and an Arai GP-6 RC carbon helmet. “The Formula 2 sessions were good and I know the judges look very closely at that, and I felt really good in the DTM car.”
“It’s funny because on the night of the Awards I wasn’t too nervous – I knew I’d already done everything possible and the decision was in the judges’ hands. But in the last 20 minutes before the announcement my heart started pumping and the tension began to rack up. When my name was called I couldn’t believe it at first – it’s the biggest award a young driver can win. It’s surreal!”

Anyone else got that thing where they HATE cooking so much they will avoid it at all costs, and the only way to make yourself not avoid it is be so FUCKING GOOD at making the few things that you like that you're FORCED to cook them just because the allure of them is strong enough to make your executives function?
Yeah.
Annoyingly I am a good cook. And I must suffer in order to enjoy the dishes I excel at. If I was bad at cooking I think there would be no hope for me in that regard tbh. Health hanging on by the thread of my ability to use spices intuitively.
#legit this is the hardest part of arthritis for me#having to change to a fresher food diet#when i am loath to cook#and arthritis makes you want to cook even LESS#but my pan-caramelised herb chicken is so fucking good#it HAS to be or I wouldn't make the effort#like yes i want fresh not processed meat#but that necessitates both PLANNING and COOKING#and both of those things are the worst

hey so i tried a toast sandwich on a whim and like. its good. im so mad
#listen to me. imagine a cheap chicken parm sandwich with thin chicken and no sauce or parm#thats what its like.#which sounds awful. but. it still tastes like a shitty chicken sandwich. despite being made w 3 slices of bread#thats kind of fascinating#but you have to make it right#toast the middle slice a bit darker than you normally would so it maintains crispy#have to eat it right away obvs#butter both sides. add salt. ideally spices too#outside bread slices must be relatively fresh#its more about texture than taste so dont fuck it up#i know im white but trust me all the recipes i post are fire. i would not lie to you.#im only a little high right now
