Where is the 118 firehouse?

So, in Season 1 we only get one establishing shot for the firehouse, which is the one above. (zooming in on Downtown Los Angeles aka DTLA)

But if we map where the calls in Season 1 took place (or at least were filmed) this is the pattern. (I was too lazy to map all the other seasons as well. If you're interested check out my filming location map that contains all calls and other locations I've found so far.)

There is a cluster in DTLA.

The map in Bobby's office also shows DTLA and the surrounding areas.

On his first day on the job in LA, poor Bobby was handed two identical maps which had the exact same area (northern part of his office map but wider) printed on them on the front and the back. (I'm choosing to believe this was a prank the team played on him.) This too points towards DTLA.

In 2x10 we get this establishing shot still focusing on DTLA which feels like confirmation. But then.

Just one episode later they hit us with this establishing shot of a completely different part of the city. (You can see Century City in the background. It's where Fox Studios are.)

So, what does it all mean? And why does one station respond to calls in DTLA, Santa Clarita, Santa Monica, Long Beach, and San Bernadino?
