To underline his words he carefully lets his thumb run over the now smooth skin. He's always liked Eddie's skin, the feel of it whenever their working hands collide at work or when their bare arms are pressed up against each other's when they're walking or sitting or standing side by side. Eddie's skin is surprisingly soft and always warm and Buck has caught himself more than once thinking about what it would feel like to run his hands over this exact skin in a more deliberate manner. 

He doesn't notice how his eyes drop, just a little, or how his thumb follows along, brushing over Eddie's upper lip, until Eddie goes completely still under his touch.
