“APH : Balcony on Paris”

This was my entry for a Deviantart event about “Celebrating Pride” (it was in 2017, so 3 years ago). You had to choose a color from the gay pride flag and it represented a feeling, the blue one meaning harmony and Peace.

And....as a fanatic of Hetalia,  I took France and England as the character for this, with a sleepy Arthur resting onto Francis shoulders while sight seeing Paris at night.

Actually I did it quite fast and I found it crappy, but really I tried and loose patience on the background! XD At least I tried to copy a real photo of a sight of the eiffel tower but....meh! 

At least, the feeling I wanted to put are conveyed!

FrUK Week Day 1: Magic

FrUK Witch of the Woods AU for @frukweek

Das Waldmägdelein streckte die Hand nach ihm aus Und zog ihn hinein in ihr felsiges Haus. Dem Burschen die Sinne vergangen fast sind So liebt und so küsst gar kein irdisches Kind.

The maid of the woods stretched her hand to him And pulled him into her rocky home. The boy nearly lost all his sense And so she loved him and kissed him as no earthly child.

Based on Vilja Lied where Francis is a hunter from a regular human village. He gets lost in the woods one day and runs into a mysterious person who helps him find his way back. The person leads him to a certain point and disappears into the mist. Francis returns home and tells his fellow villagers what happened.

“That was the Witch of the Woods, stay away from her,” the villagers tell him. “Twenty years ago, she spirited away one of our hunters. They say she haunts the woods looking for more victims to this very day!” However, Francis doesn’t quite believe that’s true. 

After some persistent efforts with the stubborn Witch, Francis tracks them down. It turns out the Witch isn’t a ‘she.’ In fact, the Witch turns out to be a young man named named Arthur. After befriending Arthur, the hunter somehow “forgets” how to navigate the woods and ends up at a certain stone cottage every day. 

Francis somehow can’t get enough of his new friend and begins to understand why the hunter from twenty years ago never returned.

I just finish to read one of your last fanfics, with Rússia x Mónaco. Its was super interesting, I loved the end (sweet revenge against France). 😜 I just wanted to ask what more ships do you have and how you see this ship (Rússia and Mónaco)

I ship a lot, I’m a historical multishipper, meaning alliances are formed and broken through time so Characters fall in and out of love with each other. Sometimes characters also have multiple lovers at the same time, or onesided relationships etc. Most of them are not like ‘the fairytale romance i dream of’ but rather ‘these two have history together and affected each other for better or for worse and there’s a story here to tell’

That’s all that comes to mind right now!

Now regarding RusMona, it’s not my flagship, but rather that of my dear friend. She has made a LOT of in depth character analysis about their relationship that’s really interesting, as unlikely as it seems these two are quite intertwined! She has put in a lot of work into sailing this ship, commissioning artists, creating content spreading the word!! So as her friend I gladly help out. Please note that in the grand scheme of Russia’s history few Russians would probably say that Monaco was important at all, but from monaco’s perspective russia has been an important ally. For a country this small oftentimes relationships that are very important to them are less important to the other. That being said:

- in the 19th century The Russian czar Alexander II and the prince Charles III of Monaco hit it of incredibly well and developed a close friendship, during this time the two signed numerous treaties and agreements

- after the russian revolution the relations were suspended. Russia was now communist, and Monaco is a beacon of wealth and splendor. So that soured their relationship to say the least… (Fun fact, Marx wrote a large part of das kapital after being miserable on a monaco vacation and getting increasingly upset with rich people…. so in a way she’s to blame for the revolution? A very indirect way though.)

-Nowadays Monaco survives by being a tax haven. Many rich Russians have their money in monegasque banks in order to do some tax evasion. So who knows, maybe Ivan likes a glass of gold flake champagne and a game at the casino’s now and then these days when he comes to check his account? ;)

My top fave hobby is obviously writing. But I do scrapbooking and I make cards, too.

I've been lacking inspiration lately on those, though, so I'm just collecting supplies. (That's a hobby, right? 😅😂)

My fave ships... So, I'm going to go across the board here. JohnxSherlock will forever have a place in my heart, even though I'm not really in the fandom anymore. And though I haven't watched a Marvel movie in years, I still love StevexTony. As far as Hetalia goes? I have a soft spot for my classics -- DenmarkxNorway, SwedenxFinland, FrancexEngland, PrussiaxAustria, SpainxRomano (and TurkeyxEgypt but I can't read it because old rps have forever marred my characterization of them). Those ones. 😅 I've actually surprised myself this time around and while Sufin is close to my heart, I've really come to love Dennor and Denfin a lot.

My fave characters. I'm gonna just throw out there that I love Hawkeye from Marvel. MCU did my babe dirty. 😖 Hetalia? I'm currently a major fan of the Nordics (*insert literally everyone going "You don't say"*). And Denmark's character change to absolute puppy has stolen my heart. But aside from them, I still love Spain, Romano, and America (for some reason lol). Those just come to mind instantly when I think outside of the Nordics. 🤷‍♀️

My biggest thing was how it made my history classes 10 times more fun because I could imagine the whole thing personified. I wasn't toooooooo into it for the show itself.
