🎶🤍✨when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers (positivity is cool)🎶🤍✨
Kazzy do you really want me to just post a bunch of Wicked songs on here
Okay maybe just one
1. For Good
People ask me what my favorite song is, like overall favorite song, and I usually say “I don’t know, it changes all the time.” But if there’s one song that I consistently go back to, it’s For Good. I just have like, a deeply rooted history with this song and with Wicked and the Wizard of Oz in general, and I can’t not include this song in my list
2. For a Moment
Any time I need a smile I listen to this one. It just makes me happy and the scene that accompanies it is really whimsical and so cute :)
3. Somewhere Only We Know
It’s a jam, I have nothing else to say. I like pretty much any cover of it too
4. This is the Stuff
Every time this song comes on the radio or whatever and we’re in the car, my mom, sister, and I all sing it at the top of our lungs
5. Island in the Sun
The perfect summer vibes! It’s so fun and brings back Aquamarine memories. The cover by Halfday which was used in the movie is also really good
#I also really love The Beach Boys I think they’re my favorite band#particularly ‘God Only Knows’ and ‘Fun Fun Fun’ and ‘Kokomo’ and ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ and-#ask Whaley#Whaley answers#the legend kazoosandfannypacks#for good#wicked#for a moment#Wonka#somewhere only we know#keane band#this is the stuff#Francesca battistelli#island in the sun#weezer#Spotify

Heaven Everywhere
"It's the smile on a man who has finally found hope It's the tears of a mother whose child has come home It's the joy that we feel and the love that we share There's a little bit of Heaven everywhere. It's the grace that we show to a world that needs hope It's giving our lives knowing they're not our own It's the joy that we feel and the love that we share There's a little bit of Heaven everywhere" -- Francesca Battistelli #HeavenEverywhere

Hello! for the WIP game: I'd love to hear about Behind the Scenes 😊
Hey! Thank you for the ask!! These are so fun!
"Behind the Scenes" is a one-shot that is part of my "Oh My Dear" series. It's from Riza's POV, written in 1st person. It takes place while she is held hostage by Bradley, and it's basically her both wishing and dreading that he will be able to see what's going on with her behind the mask she wears to keep everything in. 'Tis sad.
Also is based on a song! (I know, everyone is shocked by this, right?)

Monster is my favorite, I’ve known it the longest, and actually my two best friends and I will jam together w that song as r opener 😂
Falling inside the black
Whispers in the dark
Surviving the game
are the ones at the top of my playlist rn. Do u listen to other genres? I also love TobyMac and NF, I have so many of their songs in my playlist as well
I hear you! I queue it up sometimes when working on writing because it gets my blood pumping just right for a nice battle scene (wanna guess what I was listening to while writing The Inner Warriors?)
TobyMac is great! NF can be good, and I have a couple songs I love of theirs, but in general I don't tend to listen to rap style music, as it doesn't appeal to me very much. It can be really good! But I have to be in the mood, and I rarely am.
I listen to most genres of music though! Owl City is always a favorite (combined with a good sunbeam, it turns me into a melty little puddle of sleepy/happy Idiot LOL), and if you like Christian music,(since a lot of these artists are played on Christian Radio) I'd highly recommend Francesca Battistelli! She's got a lot of different vibes in her different albums, but her first (A Hundred More Years) is the most fun, I think. Although, her album If We're Honest is pretty good too!
I've also been listening to a lot of Josh Turner recently, since I managed to make it to one of his concerts in the last few years, and now can't get the music out of my head, lol. The Judds too, actually, although that's more because I grew up on Wynonna's voice, same with Randy Travis and Allen Jackson.
Musicals are a weakness, so I listen to plenty of those. It takes a while to get interested in a new one, but Jeremy Jordan's voice never fails to be fire, so I'm willing to try some I wouldn't.
Same thing with most jazz! Michael Bublé, Cody Fry, and Kaden MacKay tend to spot up every once in a while. I don't always want to hear them, but when I do play them it's got every part of me singing along and wanting to dance. Harry Connick Jr too, actually, although it's been a bit.
I really like folk music too, so The Crane Wives, Florence and the Machine, The Oh Hellos, and Julie Fowlis tend to decorate my playlists when I'm wanting something familiar and yet stirring. Hello My Old Heart from The Oh Hellos is quite dear to me honestly.
I tend to forget what music artists I like if I haven't listened to them in a while, but it means I have all the more fun rediscovering them again later!

Nine people I'd like to get to know better
Hey friend! ❤️💛 Thanks for thinking of me @rosewrites
Last Song: Heaven Everywhere by Francesca Battistelli.
Fav color: Purple. All the shades 💜
Last movie/show: currently watching Blade Runner 2049. tv show-wise, I'm rewatching Frasier
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: oh see that depends on what you're offering me. Sometimes sweet wins out and sometimes savory wins out. But spicy is last on the list. I'm picky about my spices.
Relationship Status: well let's see... I'm a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, godmother, friend, granddaughter, greatgranddaughter, great great granddaugher, great great great granddaugher, great great great great you get the idea. I wear a lot of relationship hats.
Last thing I googled: juice box with string cheese quote...I had to get the wording right and I couldn't remember
Current Obsession: hhhmmm singular not plural, so I'm gonna have to narrow down I suppose. Well I guess that would be Blade Runner since I'm brainstorming a fix-it idea to satisfy my fascination with the whole humanity concept here. Considering getting the book the franchise is based off of too.
Nine tags: @aintinacage @trapezequeen @marvel-and-dc-geek @marvelstuff-iguess @indoraptorgirlwind @azaraspirit @kyber-infinitygems @birdswings @and-allthat-jazz and anyone else who wants to play
please create a separate post and don't reblog!

“Toward an Educationally Relevant Theory of Literacy Learning”
August 25th
Big Takeaway: Literacy is a complex subject in which students carry their difficulties inside the classroom, back home with them and then bring a whole new set of problems back with them to the classroom the next morning; students who are deemed as successful struggle too.
Nugget: What does the student's home life look like and how is it impacting their ability to learn in school and at home? To be a good and effective teacher doesn't start at 7:30am and stop @3pm. It carries with the students throughout their lives and it connects who they are as learners to who they are as individuals.
Exploration: Reading and writing have always been perceived as some of the most simplistic subjects to be taught throughout the years. However, in Cambourne's article he argues just the opposite. Students who are seen as some of the most intelligent and highest achievers throughout grade school, are also the students that have shown the greatest struggles with the simple skills of literacy and it is crucial to understand that certain “conditions'' will create an environment of success for these “successful” students. We as teachers can set the "mood" for these students to succeed. If we are timid to teach, they will be timid to learn. I was able to relate with Camboune on several accounts and his struggles and frustrations with this issue and how we as teachers and learners understand that grades are not a defining factor of a students success, but instead a stepping stone into the greater picture of a life filled with literature that carries such beauty. I have always enjoyed school, but I enjoyed even more the ability to bring home what I learned that day to share it with my family and continue to learn from them. As we can learn from Cambourne's article; not everyone has the same opportunity I do and that is why it is crucial to create an environment inside your classroom that allows students to learn literature in a healthy way that provides them the tools they need to incorporate it into everyday life.
Multimedia: The song I chose that I believe correlates with this week's reading is "Write your Story" by Francesca Battistelli. This song carries a theme of faith and how we as humans have a story written by the God of the universe. I also believe that this song relates to the overall theme of the article and the point that students have the opportunity to write their story and learn literature in a way that best fits them. As a teacher, our roles are not to force an identity on our students, but instead walk alongside them as they navigate who they are and who they want to be both inside and outside the classroom.
