Four of Swords
The Four of Swords, from late May 2020. One of my favorite song cycles is Die Schöne Müllerin (The Lovely Milleress) by Schubert, in which a young man pines after a woman without telling her, instead telling his feelings to nature, in particular the babbling brook. The closest he gets to confessing is when he buys her a green ribbon, knowing that green is her favorite color. When she understandably falls for someone else, he becomes overwhelmed by emotions and drowns himself in the brook.
The entire song cycle is sung from his perspective except for the very last song, illustrated here, which is sung from the brook's perspective: a lullaby. The last song is tender and caressing, enveloping the listener in love and peace. As stressed as I was while creating this, the deepest peace I could think of was this song, and no real examples of relaxation or rest from my own life. Thankfully that has changed, but I still like this image for this card.

🔮DAY 18 - FOUR OF SWORDS🔮 Fatigue. The need for rest. If you do not take rest when you need it it will happen to you anyway. If you have a lot on today, where are you going to take time to recharge? What activities or inactivity serves you best in these times, even if only 5-10 minutes? Lock yourself in the loo for a bit. Get an earlier night. Whatever it takes. And plan something in for a day in the very near future where you can take a longer break. Sometimes test is more important than anything else, no matter what the world wants. Hold space for yourself. #shashaspiritledlife #shasharishi #tarotreadersofinstagram #riderwaitesmith #fourofswords #timetorest https://www.instagram.com/p/CqIC__wI_ep/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tuesday, July 26, 2022 Good morning! Today is about Respite, Healing, Releasing Control Tarot of the Day: Four of Swords
The Four of Swords is an indicator that you need to take a break. This could be during a conversation to prevent it becoming an argument, taking a "mental health" day, or an indicator that the pressures of a deep learning period or long struggle, will ease up.
This is the ideal time to step back and let all your work and intentions take root. You may find it hard to wait for the results and release control, but remember that there is always time between planting and harvesting; don’t push. Instead, accept this time as an opportunity to rest. A mentor of mine called this the "3 R's" - Retreat, Regroup, and Return.
💚 At work, things may not be going as you wish but don’t push harder or take the conflict personally. This is the time for perspective. Take the day off if you can, take a long lunch, or simply take a moment to breathe and centre yourself when you can.
💙 If you’ve been feeling a bit physically or emotionally disconnected from your partner, today is an ideal day for a mini vacation. Alone or together, take a break from the daily grind and reconnect with yourselves and each other. Leave any unfinished issues behind; today is not the day to push forward or force a conversation, it’s a day to ‘Be’. Take the time you need to regroup so you know what you move forward with will be genuine.
🧡 Overall, this Four indicates a need for boundaries, and rest. However you achieve it, know that not only are you deserving of this peace, but it is also necessary in order for things to move ahead. You’re being offered a sojourn – accept it, enjoy it, and return rested. Gun a-màireach (until tomorrow), Lovelies Peace out

The fifty-eighth card of the Tarot is associated with the final ten degrees of Libra- Mercury in Libra. This card represents mentally pausing and resting. Focus more on the breath. It could be utilizing meditation to quiet the mind, and to draw upon memory/imagination/intuition. It suggests a time to stop, take stock, and be grateful for what been accomplished and built. It’s also a time to recognize and give thanks for the essential support and help that’s been received. It’s a beneficial moment to connect with family, even from a distance- maybe through writing or technological means.
Lilac symbolizes spring, innocence, first love, heartiness, sometimes old flames. It’s linked to Venus (warm + moist/kidneys, throat, skin and hair). It’s scent is said to be soothing, and to reduce anxiety and depression. It has astringent properties, and can be a good toner for the skin. It can be used to treat sunburn and other minor skin rashes, cuts and irritations. The oil of lilac has been used to treat intestinal worms, and to prevent diseases from recurring. It may also fight bacterial and fungal infections.

Contrary to popular belief, the sleeping person in the Four of Swords card of the Tarot is not dead! He’s just resting his eyes! 😅 The card represents meditation, a pause before action, and reflection. This is the card you see when the advice is to “find yourself” before moving on to another relationship. It’s the card you see when someone thinks of you deeply or is worried about you. It may also represent a coma or prolonged bed rest, if taken literally. The Four of Swords is not a card to fear, but a card to take into account: do you need time to pause and reflect on an issue? Should you step back from an argument and evaluate your emotions to see where you might be wrong? Can you take a moment to gather yourself and weigh pros and cons before making a decision? These are all the kinds of questions posed by this oft misunderstood card. ✨

So the other day I was playing w/ my tarot cards trying to figure out which chart I should use, sidereal, tropical or draconic?
Tumblr media
The world and four of sword came out... I have books I’ve been reading & I’ve been combining my tarot practice with astrology. Combining both are amazing btw. Do it!
So the world card represents the planet saturn and the four of swords an air energy, represent the 3rd decan of Libra/Cardinal energy. ANYWAYS.
I go through all charts, looking at transits.
Tropical? NOPE!
Sidereal? NOPE!
Draconic? N- Wait a sec...
Yes Saturn is in Libra.. 27th degree in strength sign with Mars in 28th degree. Conjunct. World. Tower Moment. Also a cycle has been completed... in the sign of libra, justice and balance is the theme. Mars isn’t strong in Libra... in Scorpio though when it switches sides , Saturn will be far away from Mars. We’re going to pull through !
Also... Jupiter is conjunct Pluto exact... both the 21st degree. Jupiter is the Wheel of Fortune, Pluto is Judgement in Tarot.
Go within and be calm is the advice, this is a divine intervention that will result in a successful renewal !
I checked the transits for the upcoming month & scorpio mars will pull away from Saturn but Saturn(the world) will transition into Scorpio(death card).

The wyrd sister beats her drum as she leads the audience to the 2000 year old caves of Beer for a rousing performance Of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. @fourofswords made use of this fantastic and spooky setting to deliver a memorable, Wardruna inspired, and very spooky performance of the “Scottish play” #fourofswords #thaneofcawdor #scottishplay #macbeth #wardruna (at Beer Quarry Caves) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzOhn6NgJK3/?igshid=1m273oj2quxmt
