Chapter Six of I'm Doing This For Revenge is live! Which means this fic is now completed. My utmost love and appreciation to everyone has read so far. Merry Christmas and Chag Sameach!
Read on Ao3 or under the cut:
Saturdays are Bucky's meal prep days. He's slowly been working his way through a variety of cuisines and tweaking them to suit his enhanced metabolism. This week, he's settled on a pot roast. He can't remember his Ma's recipe, but thanks to the internet, he easily found a New York community cookbook from 1938 that had been digitized. Should be close enough.
The recipe calls for brisket, and that element he does remember. Even with his and Steve's families pitching in together, they had to settle for the toughest cuts of meat, and even those were only bought sparingly, saved for special occasions like their joint celebrations of Passover and Easter or Hanukkah and Christmas. Pot roasts cook low and slow, tenderizing even the toughest of cuts, so a pot roast was an all-day commitment.
Bucky knows there's new cooking tools these days – some kind of special pot Sarah had mentioned? – to speed up the cooking process for long dishes like these, but Bucky's found that he prefers the process. It's grounding, having to check on a pot throughout his day. The fact that his apartment smells delicious for days is just a bonus.
Since his impromptu cooking lesson with Sam, his skills have improved considerably. He now knows dozens of types of knife cuts, from roll cuts to various bias cuts. Carlos had recommended art therapy early on, and to Bucky – food is art. He loves learning and mastering new techniques, experimenting with new flavors, and refining even the smallest of details, like plating. The last time he'd cooked for Sam, his boyfriend had looked at him with a little bit of awe at the bowl of Coq au Vin set in front of him. Bucky liked that look. He loved being able to kiss it off of Sam's face.
Bucky smiles fondly at the memory as he seasons and sears his brisket. Into his thrifted dutch oven go the brisket, his chopped vegetables, and enough beef stock and red wine to almost cover everything. The pot goes into the oven at a low temperature, and Bucky takes a few minutes to methodically reset his kitchen.
He'd cleaned a lot when he was a kid – primarily as part of his chores, and then to keep Steve from getting sick so often. But he'd never thought of cleaning as a form of mindfulness until Carlos suggested it. “Mindfulness doesn't have to mean seated meditation or yoga – cleaning ties you to your present moment and your surroundings.”
Bucky dumps his dirty dishes into the sink and turns on the hot water. Though his apartment came with a dishwasher, like so many things he does, he finds the manual, traditional process grounding. After thirty minutes, Bucky has a spotless kitchen. He checks the temperature of the brisket, then curls up in his armchair with his copy of The Fellowship of the Ring. A hot meal, a clean kitchen, and a good story. It is a good Saturday. He writes in his notebook:
glimmers: the smell of pot roast, a clean kitchen, reading
Sundays are even gentler than Saturdays. When Bucky's in New York, he likes to take these days to enjoy the city. Sunday mornings are his favorite time for this. Though Brooklyn could never be described as “quiet”, there's a calm that covers the borough for several hours on Sunday mornings, when the rest of the neighborhood either sleeps off last night's indulgences or attends church services. The contrast amuses Bucky. This Sunday, he orders his usual online, before retreating to Prospect Park. He'd never tell Sam, but he'd gotten into birdwatching recently (blame Banner), and he likes to spend a few hours walking the grounds of the park and soaking in the birdsong.
glimmers: a caramel latte, spotting a Dark-Eyed Junco
On Monday and Tuesday, Bucky shops. He's been invited to the Wilson family Christmas, and he has no idea what to bring. He visits Lydia at the bookstore and asks what a good gift for a chef would be. She gives him several recommendations, and he lands on Julia Child's book, The Art of French Cooking, which Lydia tells him is a classic.
The whole of New York must be shopping too, judging by the crowds in the stores. Bucky came well prepared with his headphones and his fidget, weaving through the crowds with a practiced ease. For Sam, he buys several records in the Motown genre, plus one record the storekeeper has insisted on. “Diana Ross,” the young woman tells him. “If your guy likes Marvin Gaye, he'll love this one.”
Bucky's last stop is the gaming store on the way back to his apartment. Cass and AJ have started calling him “Uncle Bucky”, so of course he has to spoil them. Even if Sarah might not appreciate every one of his gift selections.
glimmers: seeing Lydia, buying gifts, getting music recommendations
On Wednesday, Bucky flies to New Orleans. Being Avenger-adjacent does have its perks – including a private Stark jet. It'd probably be damn near impossible for him to go through TSA anyway. When he lands four hours later, Sam's waiting for him at the airfield.
“Look what the cat dragged in,” he teases affectionately, opening his arms to Bucky. Bucky folds into them, nuzzling into the warmth of Sam's shoulder. “How was your flight?”
“Can't complain,” Bucky says. “A lot smoother of a ride than with Torres.”
Sam laughs at that. “Come on, Sarah's got dinner all planned out.”
Louisiana is almost balmy compared to New York, mid-60's and drizzling. Sam catches him up on the last mission he'd gone on, something about freeing a few more Widows with Kate and Yelena. He'd been working the two of them off and on since the fall, trying to finish what Natasha had started.
Sarah greets him at the door with a warm hug. “Come on in, I've got dinner all laid out. Oh!” She gasps when she sees Bucky's duffle bag full of wrapped gifts. “You shouldn't have!”
Bucky grins. “You might actually mean that tomorrow.” He whispers to her: “I might've gotten the boys a drone.”
Sarah laughs. “Lord have mercy, as if Redwing wasn't enough.”
Sarah pulled no stops in creating her Christmas feast: roasted carrots, mashed potatoes, homemade rolls, and on and on. What she was most proud of was her roast turkey, beaming when Bucky shyly passed his plate to her for seconds. At the end of the meal, she sends the boys upstairs to get ready for bed. When they protest, she emphasizes: "PJs, then presents.”
Bucky flicks his eyes to Sam. “Tell me they haven't been waiting all day for me to get here before opening their presents.”
Sam waves it off. “Of course not. They opened the stuff from us this morning. They have stuff to give you though. Which, while we're alone,” Sam pulls out a box wrapped in blue paper.
“Kate and I talked a lot on our first mission together, and I wanted to get this for you. I don't know how much you still practice, but–” Sam cuts himself off, thrusting a box into Bucky's arms. “She told me about Hanukkah, and how it's about rededication, and with all the work you've put in this last year, it seemed – I thought you might want to celebrate.”
Bucky unwraps his gift from Sam, and tears spring to his eyes. It's a beautiful gold menorah, but it's so light, which must mean…
“I had Shuri make it out of vibranium.” Sam's breath catches, like he wants to say more, but doesn't. Bucky quirks an eyebrow at him and he continues. “I thought – Hanukkah is supposed to be about resistance too, so –”
“You made an indestructible menorah.” Bucky's at a loss for words after that, turning the gift over in his hands, running his fingers down the stems. “Sam, I…I don't know what to say.”
“It's okay if you don't like it,” Sam offers quickly, worried he might have overstepped. He knew Bucky was Jewish, but was this too far? Did Bucky want to keep this part of his life private?
“Sam.” Bucky's voice pulls him out of his spiraling thoughts. “I love it. You don't know what this means to me.”
When the sun begins to set, Sarah gathers the boys as Bucky places the menorah in the window and gathers two candles, placing one in the furthest right stem, and one in the center stem. Bucky searches his memories, worried he's forgotten, but the prayers fall from his lips like water in a stream.
Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech haolam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tsivanu l’hadlik ner shel Hanukkah
Baruch atah, Adonai, Eloheinu Melech haolam, she-asah nisim la’avoteinu bayamim hahem bazman hazeh
Baruch atah Adonai, elohenu melech ha’olam, shehecheyanu, v’kiyimanu, v’higiyanu lazman hazeh
Bucky strikes a match, lighting the center candle, the shamash first, then using it to light the candle on the right. He feels a flicker of a memory, his mother's hand on his wrist, guiding him in lighting the menorah for the first time, and then it's gone. He lets out a sigh and opens his eyes.
Sam squeezes his hand. “All good?”
“Yeah,” Bucky breathes out.
“Does this mean Uncle Bucky can open our presents now?” AJ asks.
“Wait, I want him to open mine first!” Cass protests.
Sarah shoots Bucky and Sam a look, mouthing “boys”, while shaking her head in a laugh. AJ and Cass run to the tree in the living room to get their gifts for Bucky, and the two men savor the momentary quiet. “Happy Hanukkah, Buck.” Sam murmurs.
“I think this is my first Hanukkah in eighty years, Sam.” Bucky's voice cracks from the weight of his words. “I didn't think I'd ever have this again. Carlos said it might be good for me to go to temple again, just try it one time, but I –” Bucky's words end in a choked noise. He tries again, his voice small. “I know it wasn't really me, Sam, but…this body…my body, it followed Nazi orders. And I can't bring it – myself – into a synagogue. I won't.”
Sam's heart clenches. He is so out of his depth here. “Listen, I'm no expert, but my mama used to say that sitting in church didn't make you any more Christian than sitting in a garage made you a car. So I imagine the same is true with Judaism. Your religion ain't a place, it's your actions. So make it whatever you want, sweetheart.” Sam takes both of Bucky's hands in his. “I'm here for wherever that leads you.”
glimmers: Hanukkah, Sam, family.

I’m a sucker for almost any novelty food on the market. Pickle soda? You bet. Cotton candy grapes? Sign me up. Balsamic ice cream? I’ll take three scoops. So, last month, when I heard that Pringles was releasing an everything bagel flavor, I knew it was my duty to try and secure the snack.
According to the Pringles website , the chip is supposed to have “flavor notes of sesame and poppy seeds followed by hints of cream cheese that perfectly blend with toasted onion and garlic.” Which, to my wrecked palate, is a pretty tame combination of flavors, especially given the everything bagel craze of the past few years (partially thanks to the Trader Joe’s seasoning that lets you make practically anything taste like a morning deli run).
Since the snack was declared a limited edition item, I knew in order to test out the chips, time was of the essence. However, when I looked around at my local grocery store, there weren’t any everything bagel Pringles to be found.
At first, I wasn’t too thrown off. After all, I live in New York, the bagel aficionado’s natural habitat — maybe they just sold out.
To widen my search, I went to the official Pringles site where they have a handy function that tells you if a product is stocked in your area. But, as soon as I put in my search address, I got this crushing result: There was no product to be found. No chips anywhere near Brooklyn? An alleged Metropolitan area? It seemed too strange to me.
I then asked my coworkers in Florida and New Jersey to try locating the chips near them, but no luck. I even messaged my friend on the West Coast to search for the chips in the carb-starved southern California area and we still drew a blank.
How could this be? From Cuban sandwiches to Korean barbecue, I see a chip lover’s darkest and wildest fantasies populating the shelves daily. Are everything bagel Pringles really that in demand? Did some shadowy collector swipe all of them as soon as they hit the market in order to upsell, like an Eras Tour ticket?
I began to feel defeated, unworthy of my self-proclaimed status of “novelty chip sucker.” Then it occurred to me: What if this is all a hoax?
When looking up the chips online, almost zero reviews come up, just basic announcements of their supposed existence. On the Pringles site, there are actually only two customer reviews: one from a user named “Pringles Fan” and the other named “Popcorn” who both demand that we should “buy the chips immediately.” Sounds a little suspicious, no? If only we could, Popcorn!
I promise I’m not your everyday conspiracy theorist, but I’ll be honest, I’m at a loss. It just doesn’t feel right. Why would Pringles do this to us? Everything bagels have been enjoyed by New York Jews since the 80s. A bagel-flavored chip just isn’t clickbait-y enough to warrant the theatrics of a full fake marketing campaign. Or the scarcity supply-and-demand technique used on elusive popular products like the McRib. So what exactly is going on here?
I reached out to the big wigs at Pringles HQ directly about this debacle, and a customer service representative explained it this way:
“This [product] was available for a limited time only. Special packs are very popular and sometimes stores run out of stock quickly.”
For now, I’ll guess I’ll just have to accept the fact that maybe me and everything bagel Pringles weren’t meant to meet.
Like Bigfoot, the loch ness monster and the boogeyman, people can claim that these chips exist all they want. However, I’ll only believe it when I see it.

A Koopa's Queen
Summary: Gabi Mario thought her life has been going good in her home in Brooklyn until it went down the drain by a day. Not only her but her older brothers too. The trio soon discovered a strange pipe during a mission to turn their life around and got way more than they expected. (A/N: This is the Movie Version and the artwork here is mine.)
Ch1
It was a start of a new day in Brooklyn New York where a teen wearing a white tshirt black jeans with flats tying her red apron before flipping the closed sign to open. She took a spray bottle and rag to wipe down the counter and the tables when two men came in. "Morning Mario. Luigi." Sais the woman looking at them for a second. "Morning Gabi." Said Luigi. "Aye. Frankie. Clogged up drain again in the kitchen." Said a young man with a shaved head. "On it Johnny." Said Gabi grabbing some rubber gloves behind the container near the register. She went in through the doors going to the huge sink filled with dirty soapy water. "All the dishes are cleared out." Said Johnny signing some papers on the clipboard. Gabi put her hand moving it around until she felt the drain. She cant feel anything and went through the doors looking at the brothers. "I need a wrench." Said Gabi. Luigi tossed her one from his belt which she caught and grabbed a empty bucket. He and Mario peeked in watching her take out the pipe slowly for the water pour in the bucket. They almost gagged at the smell coming from the pipes. "I found the problem. Theres grease and chicken bones?" Said Gabi trying not to throw up. She went to the trash can banging it while using the brush to get it cleaned out. "Must been there for weeks or longer." Said Mario going to the door and propped it open. Once the pipe was cleaned out Gabi put it back and tightened it good and tested it out. The water flowed nicely into the drain with no trouble and turned the sink off. Gabi pushed the garbage out in the back to empty it and finish up cleaning before customers come in. She lifted the lid up to the brick wall and picked up the garage bag to throw it in before closing it. Johnny walked around the restaurant spraying air freshener as a man with a blue uniform and beard walked in. "What are you doing here?" Said Gabi annoyed seeing him.
"He's here for the new online order." Said Johnny walking by her handing him a paper bag. "How's my favorite plumber girl?" Said the man. "Can it. Spike. I was only filling in if one of my brothers were busy. Now you got your food. There's the door." Said Gabi gesturing him to leave. "Gabrielle Mario." Said a raspy voice from older woman. Gabi followed the woman to the office and sat down seeing a guy four years younger than her on his phone. "I need you to train our waiter Monty." Said the woman. "But Mrs. O'Neal we have enough staff here. Sure Rose left to care for her newborn baby but she'll be back in three weeks." Said Gabi saw her raise a hand up. "Actually we are letting you go. Monty is your replacement." Said Mrs. O'Neal. "What? Why? I have been working here for almost five years." Said Gabi. "We have been getting homeless here asking for the left over food that YOU been giving them before we open and after closing time. Those people aren't allowed around here. This is your last day. You can grab your check at the end of your shift." Said Mrs. O'Neal. Gabi gestured the boy to follow her and saw her brothers leave in a hurry. She spent a half showing Monty around and what he is supposed to do and how to do it correctly. Johnny was in the kitchen making a calzone supreme with garlic bread sticks as his phone played some music on speaker on the window sill. He heard Gabi coming looking down knowing that Mrs. O'Neal talked to her. "Sorry Gabrielle. You didn't do anything wrong we both know that and Rose too." Said Johnny. "Not going to change anything. Besides the food we serve were a day old or two and I don't waste it." Said Gabi. "Say before you leave early. I accidentally baked a dozen cinnamon rolls which is meant for next week. You can take them if you want. I know your mom and cousins enjoy them." Said Johnny as Gabi hugged him.
"You're the best. See ya at your cousin's capture the flag game." Said Gabi. "Heck yeah." Said Johnny as Gabi took the white takeout box. She clocked out and went to her locker to pack her things before getting her last check. Gabi went to the back where the dumpster is and got her bike hidden behind the trash getting on heading home. She held on the take out and her backpack moving along the busy streets dodging the cars by a few blocks until a house came to view. Gabi got off putting her bike on the side of the open garage seeing her Dad working on the car. "Hey Papá. Brought Cinnamon Rolls from Johnny." Said Gabi pecking his cheek. "How's my girl doing?" Said Papá wiping off the grease off his hands with a dirty rag. "Same as always. Just helped with the new guy named Monty." Said Gabi smiling. She went in looking back frowning not wanting to tell her family about her getting fired just yet. Gabi went to her room next to Mario's and put her things down as red haired woman knocked before coming in. "Hey can you help your Mama in the kitchen. I have to pick your cousin from school." Said The red haired woman. "Yeah Aunt Penny." Said Gabi closing the door so she can change. She came down wearing her grey ankle boots and a white tank top while tying her long long into a messy bun. "Gabrielle. Grab two packets of pasta and start boiling them. I'm making Mushroom Pasta." Said Mama. "Okay Mamá." Said Gabi going to the pantry closet. She took started boiling the water and opened up the packets as the Mario Brothers Plumbing commercial came on. "Oh great. Can you believe these two?" Said Papa watching the tv. "what's wrong with it?" Said Gabi. "Your brothers think they can be professional plumbers. I'm glad you got a real job at the restaurant." Said Papa. "Hey. Leave them alone Papa. They love doing that and enjoy it too." Said Gabi. "Don't start turning into a plumber. You already got a good life ahead of you." Said Mama. Gabi looked at her parents and went back to help making dinner for the family.

June 24th, Cooper Landing
At the RV parts store at 8am. This place has a great website, makes them sound big. Several other people told me they were the best in Anchorage. Well, they have a tiny store with limited stock. Most of their business is special orders. Found a basic Shuregard that will give me something. Then ordered a new progressive EMS online with 2day air (which is 4 to 5 days here).
Left Anchorage at 9am. Road was pretty good along the Turnagain arm, then a little poorer as we headed inland. When we turned on the Homer highway it went to yucky. Got to the Princess Kenai RV park just after 11am.
Once setup we went to lunch at Two Brothers Roadhouse. Restaurant has a new name from 2018, but the food is the same and still excellent.
After lunch we walked the princess resort and played ball with Brooklyn.
Cooler today, upper 60s with afternoon clouds. First time I have put on jeans in a week.

Brooklyn Foodie's Guide: Ordering Online for Gourmet Meals by Hempstead Doctors

Adams ordered French fries and, unprompted, said, “This is going to be one of the most fascinating mayoralties in history.” He later added, “Anyone who believes there’s not a God, they need to watch my journey.”
Adams likes to ask, “When does the hard part start?,” although there are members of his staff who wish that he wouldn’t.
He has said that if God had found the Eric Adams story less compelling he “could have made me the mayor of Topeka.” (Michael Padilla, Topeka’s mayor, responded by saying that he, for one, values humility.)
At the eighteen-month point in de Blasio’s administration, tens of thousands of four- and five-year-olds had finished a year in a new program of free pre-K education. The Adams administration—working in admittedly more straitened times—has no equivalent achievement.
Food is a favored topic. It allows Adams to connect political action to personal anecdote, a rhetorical move that’s harder to pull off for most issues pressing on City Hall—say, the huge annual cost of police overtime (eight hundred million dollars) or inmate deaths in the dysfunctional jails on Rikers Island.
Frank Carone, a lawyer and a Brooklyn Democratic power broker who became Mayor Adams’s first chief of staff, in 2022, recently explained how Adams had come to run unopposed in the 2013 primary. “We knocked some folks off the ballot,” he told me, in a businesslike way. “Some other folks, we spoke to.”
The Mayor apparently reserves the right to mix incidents from his own life with material from his quantum lives: things that could have happened, or almost happened, or happened to someone he once met. All potentials exist simultaneously.
It’s a rare day when Adams doesn’t reference Desmond Tutu talking about the importance of fixing problems “upstream,” rather than “pulling people out of the river,” half-drowned. Tutu never said this. (The Mayor’s office noted that a Google search yields many attributions to Tutu.) Online, Adams has posted uplifting quotes falsely or dubiously attributed to E. M. Forster, Winston Churchill, George Eliot, Rosa Parks, and many others.
In 1968, when he was seven, the family moved to Queens. Adams’s mother, along with Adams and his siblings, began attending a local church. Adams has often said that they called it the ‘Cheers’ church—everybody knew your name.” The sitcom “Cheers” débuted in 1982.”
Adams compared Brooklyn’s recent cultural flowering to an “overweight but gorgeous” woman he dated in college. For lunch, he ordered lamb and a salad of his own invention, which included kale and had no dressing.
#the writing is so good#Eric Adams is a fucking disgrace of a mayor#he's a republican who switched parties because New Yorkers vote democrat#i hate him so much#please read this whole article#i just kept screaming YOURE SUCH A FUCKING LIAR CAMILLE while I did#The New Yorker

Day 16: 2/3/23
Today I had one class to attend on campus and one class online, so I didn't wake up at my usual time of 6am. Yesterday, I set alarms for 8:30 on my phone. Joining an online zoom call takes much less effort than walking to class in person. It only takes a few clicks to connect to class on zoom. Class went well and I was glad I made to this week's session. I learned about the applicant tracking system that allows for resumes to be posted and seen online. I was engaged in the conversation by asking questions.
For my in-person class, I had a quiz. I decided to study and work on a problem. I used the Minnesota Online Learning System (MOLS) for a practice problem. I practiced solving the question but couldn't get it correct. I hadn't eaten for the day yet and felt that it was a good time to take a break. I ate a homecooked dish by my mother with the usual plates we had and using metal cutlery. To drink water, I used a Dory cup and got water from the water dispenser in the kitchen. After eating, I checked my emails and continued reviewing for a bit but ended up procrastinating because I felt anxious and wasn't sure how to study. I was looking through Snapchat, since they have the "memories" and it was where many of my old photos were located. I also consumed screen time on my phone by looking through photos and videos of my nieces and nephew.
It was time to go on campus. I didn't wear as many layers for today because I would be inside most of the day. I also didn't pack my mouse because I would only be on campus for a short period. My mother drove me to campus around 12:40. It was another cold day but the sky was clear and white. In my mom's car, there is warming seats. The warming seats helped but I still felt cold. I got into class early and studied. We did a practice problem as a class. Before transitioning to taking the quiz, I remember my instructor saying something along the lines of "in my other class, only one person failed." While taking the quiz, I remembered to write down my steps. I took my time and felt confident about what I was doing. When class ended, we got our quizzes back. I failed the quiz. I felt upset. I had to retake the quiz. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I was the one person that failed in my class.
When I got home, I still felt upset that I failed but I felt much calmer about it. I got a call from the messenger app from my boyfriend. He and his family were going out to eat sushi and invited me. I accepted the invitation and got ready by changing my shirt and putting on some makeup. I wasn't an expert on it, but I used foundation, eyeshadow pallette, and a sponge applicator found in my sister's room. My boyfriend's brother was driving us there. The place was an all-you-can-eat sushi place in Brooklyn Park. We had to wait for 30 minutes until we got seated. During the wait, my boyfriend showed me the mobile games he played on his phone. We ordered food and ate with the wooden chopsticks that were provided. It was the usual wooden chopsticks packaged in paper. We ordered lots of food and two hours passed by and everyone was filled. After eating, we decided to go to Target. I found this as a good opportunity for my splurchase. I had difficulty because I am not a big spender and like to think about what I purchase and if it is worth it, which was the opposite goal of the purchase. It was around 9 PM when we arrived at Target and we only had until 10 PM before it closes. I felt somewhat pressured to find something. I initially found some items but felt that it wasn't suitable for the project, so I head into the food section. I found something that I felt had graphics on it and was something I wouldn't usually buy for myself. My boyfriend also purchased other things such as chocolate and plushies as an early valentine's gift. He paid through the register with cash and I helped by using my online Target gift card. We head home and during the car ride, music was played through the radio and it was a good time. The thought of the failed quiz wasn't even on my mind. I head home and felt thirsty after carrying the bags home. I took some time to sit down and looked in the mirror to get ready to remove the makeup. I took some photos and felt pretty and good about how I looked like. I removed my makeup with micellar water and some cotton pads.

Wood Fired Pizza Near Me
There are a lot of places that you can go to and get a good pizza. Whether you’re looking for something spicy or something more savory, you can find it with a wood fired pizza near you.
Di Fara
Di Fara is one of the most famous pizzerias in New York. For over six decades, the Di Fara team has been creating legendary Neapolitan pies in South Brooklyn. They are now expanding to Staten Island. The restaurant is currently in the process of opening a brick and mortar location in the Financial District.
This family-run business opened in 1965 and has become synonymous with delicious pizza. Dom DeMarco, who owns the shop, has a reputation for his artisanal skill.
The dough for the pies is prepared and fired the same day. This allows the Di Fara team to control the flavor and texture of the dough. Using Italian ingredients, including olive oil, they create masterpieces that are the pride of the Di Fara team.
Catch-A-Fire Pizza
Catch-A-Fire Pizza is a Cincinnati based wood fired pizzeria. Their menu consists of handcrafted pizzas, cocktails and specialty foods. The restaurant has three locations.
The original Catch-a-Fire was a food truck which served guests at festivals and private events. They also served guests streetside in public parks. It was a big hit. However, the owners decided to focus on a brick and mortar restaurant.
Since opening in 2013, Catch-A-Fire has added two more locations. They opened in Oakley’s MadTree Brewing in 2015 and they are planning to open another location in Lebanon.
The flagship location is in the heart of the downtown area. It’s a 7,000 square foot space that combines custom designs with architectural elements of the city. There are two huge wood burning ovens and a separate dining room.
Joe’s Pizza
If you’re looking for an iconic New York pizza, Joe’s Pizza is your go-to. The menu features a variety of pizzas, including the Classic and Sicilian, as well as pizzas with additional toppings.
In addition to pizza, the restaurant also offers takeout and delivery. This pizza chain has 42 locations across the US, including several in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. Its corporate headquarters are located in New Castle, PA. For takeout, you can order online or call to make an order.
Aside from its popular New York pizza, Joe’s Pizza is also a slice shop. These shops offer pizzas that are cut into thirds, making it easy to split up a pie with friends.
Franny’s
Located on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Franny’s is one of Brooklyn’s most famous pizzerias. The owners, Andrew and Francine Stephens, combined their wares with the progressive food philosophy of Chez Panisse. And, like their restaurant, they take their ingredients seriously.
There are numerous pizza options on the menu. You can choose from the usual suspects — cheese, pepperoni, and plain old ole’ plain old mozzarella. Or, you can get more creative. For example, you can have your pie in a whole wheat tortilla or with a chickpea crostini.
On the topic of pizza, Franny’s takes it to the next level with an artisanal wood-fired pie. While the toppings are simple, the dough has an eminently gourmet feel.
Roberta’s
Roberta’s wood fired pizza is made with real ingredients and is baked in a wood burning oven. This pizza is one of the best Neapolitan style pizzas in the country.
Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Roberta’s is a neighborhood favorite. With a full-service restaurant and patio seating, it’s a great place to dine. There is also an online delivery service.
Roberta’s pizza is a popular choice for people looking for a delicious and affordable meal in New York City. Their wood-fired Neapolitan style pizzas are handcrafted and shipped nationwide. They are available at a number of locations in Manhattan, Los Angeles, and even Singapore.
The pizzas are handmade and made with house-made mozzarella and tomatoes. They are then topped with a variety of fresh and creative toppings. One of their signature pies is the White Guy, which comes with garlic, ricotta, sea salt, and mozzarella.
Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza
Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza is a contemporary Italian pizzeria located at 11225 Montgomery Blvd NE, Wichita, KS 67102. It opened in 1992 and offers a menu of authentic wood fired pizzas, flatbread style sandwiches and signature salads. The menu is reasonably priced and the staff is trained to make sure that you are satisfied. Whether you are dining in or taking out, you will be treated like family.
Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza may be a relative newcomer, but it’s not short on competition. In fact, you’ll find several locations in Wichita and other cities in the metro area. They are known for their signature pizza and crafted drinks.
