Understanding the Impact-Effort Matrix The first step in Aims and Goals is to organize tasks with the Effort Matrix. At its simplest form, the Impact-Effort Matrix separates tasks into four quadrants:

It provides a clear path of your journey and best approach towards increasing your focus on the things that matter most in your life, it is first thing first, misplaced priorities can keep you away from your main targets there by running behind.
To improve on your focus you have to be optimistic, even in the most difficult situations believe that with right attitude, it is matter of time before things fall in place. Especially young adults who are not patient enough to wait for the outcome, you need to understand that it is a process, it doesn’t change overnight, it is long days of hard work that birthed the results. It is difficult to maintain motivation and focus, when things are not fast going the way you might want it to go, notwithstanding, your fixation should be the end product of your goals, dreams and hard work, when your mind is channelled to the outcome, it will start to make sense rather than feeling downbeat about the process.
You need to get over yourself, it is not really only about you, when you’re pursing sustainable legacy that will be passed down to the younger generation, don’t be afraid to take on the new challenge. People worry about their self preservation as opposed to fulfilling their purpose in life, you don’t live for people, you’re constantly worry about your ego and being afraid to fail, when the dust settles you will realise that you’re the only one that is going to save yourself. You need to start making that hard decisions, it is going to be difficult, but is there anything worth doing that has been easy? You have to embrace the pressure, it is really a good thing to be under pressure, it means you’re stepping out of your comfort zone.
To keep tap with your focus, you have to take notice of every challenge conquered, embrace the outcome and prepare yourself for the forthcoming challenges, you can become more appreciative of yourself when you make list of your goals and work towards it, you become self-aware of the whole situation. It is process of improving yourself financially, physically and mentally, all these type of improvements coexist, you need to get them right to function at the maximum level, that’s how you take ownership of your life and detect what goes on in your life, it is good for your focus, it gives your mind something to work consistently.
