Btw a question that has been haunting me for DAYS:

If Tale of the Body Thief is adapted in modern (2022 or onward) time, do you think Lestat will just like. Get COVID?

#there’s a bigass epidemic of a virulent strain of flu or something like that in the book #for some reason the setup in season 1 of vamps not wearing masks because they can’t get COVID would make the scenario so funny to me #raglan james chooses an unvaxxed body because he’s Like That and then it never even occurs to Lestat that he should wear a mask #he’s not anti-mask or anything #this problem has just literally never arisen before #why has this been occupying my mind #why is this so funny to me #it just cracks me up that in the book MULTIPLE people are like #sir #sir you look like you may be actually dying #don’t go home #don’t go to the pharmacy #don’t even go to the doctor #proceed directly to the emergency room #and lestat is just like ‘no i think this is just what a cold feels like???’#and then he passes out and almost dies .7 seconds later

i keep waking up every three hours which is nice because thats how long youre supposed ti wait between each strepsil. unforties they dont do anything. i am suffering

#ive had my flu and covid jab so idk if this is just a bad cough or a different strain of covid but im so pissed off #i wear a mask whenever i go out but no one i live with cares so i catch everything off of them #what part of im disabled and it all hurts extra bad for me do you not understand #theyre literally gonna kill me. im gonna die and its gonna be my stupid fucking brother's fault. lol

Absolute bastard of a puppy ATE my ONLY PAIR of glasses and the opticians isn't open on a weekend so I have to wait until Monday before I can call them for a new pair and god knows how long they'll take 👍 [thumbs up emoji]

plot twist update on my gf catching my cold: turns out i caught her cold, and it’s definitely something a little worse than a cold but maybe not quite as severe as the flu

#continuing to test negative and i don’t wanna waste my time on a trip to urgent care bc i don’t /think/ it’s the flu idk #though it would put my silly little heart at ease if my gf went to urgent care and got checked out because she’s been sick longer than me #ugh #yearning hours honestly #also coughing and sniffling and itchy hours #kinda self obs #i forgot i have negative luck when it comes to getting sick LMAO #whatever #she’s worth it and i don’t feel that bad at all #which makes me wonder if maybe it is the flu and i just have immunity or something from having it last month ????#i made that up somebody is gonna tell me exactly why that is stupid and how it actually works #but at first my brain was like i can’t have the flu again like six weeks later right….#at least not the same strain #and she doesn’t usually get sick easily or this sick #while i’m the opposite but the poor baby is definitely worse off than me #rambling again see how i wander #who knows…who knows #realized i forgot to finish that thought up there ^ but by ‘immunity’ i mean like #maybe that’s why it’s not as severe lol little booster to the flu shot i got a month too late
