garden center / aqua center the center is located in colorado, usa. it served as an area to buy reliable plant food and was frequently visited by plants themselves, it was next to a storage district and a park. when the zombies took over it in 2016 became a gun and marine biology shop, inhabited by various aquatic based zombie professions. the haunted pumpkin also appeared in it during halloween of 2016, likely the plants trying to regain control of their beloved market. it’s about 7 miles off the flats
zomboss estate the estate is located in wyoming, usa. it is zomboss’ personal home where he can relax away from the war. he likes sure it’s always guarded by 30 or so soldiers. there’s also rumours of him holding a spare zombot in that area, though those rumours are likely false due to other reasons. some have said they’ve seen a cryptid in the behind areas as well. this was the first area the plants launched an attack on
suburban flats this area is a trailer park, treehouse, cemetery, neighbourhood all in one, it is located in colorado, usa. average civilians live here and plants quite enjoy the atmosphere. it was the least attacked zombie area due to being not much of an advantage point in the war, but likely got taken over at some point. it’s about 7 miles off the center
sharkbite shores the notable shoreline is located in washington, usa. the reason why it’s notable is due to the giant fossilised shark maw on the beach that’s been there for ages. the locales here enjoy their seafood too and has the best fishy buffets of any area. it is about 10 miles away from port scallywag and driftwood shores
port scallywag the port is located in washington, usa. it is the only place inhabited by pirates, as the zombies made their home in the castle across the pier. not as much of a cozy place as the shoreline but it remains a fun tourist destination during the day. it is about 10 miles away from sharkbite shores and driftwood shores
chomp town a shopping district with much more frequent plant activity located in colorado, usa. it had markets for humans, markets for plants, restaurant, a seafood place, and a gas station! little activity has been in there the last year however since the zombie takeover of the center. it is in walking distance of the streets
jewel junction a mining hub in new mexico, usa. it holds plenty of people who work shifts to bring in gems. the zombies at some point put a train in for,,, whatever reason? it is 4 miles away from crash course and cactus canyon
crash course one of the many gold courses in the area that got a rocket dropped on it, located in new mexico, usa. it’s considered a rich people neighbourhood, has a golf club and an explosives shop for whatever reason. there’s a broken down zombot in the crash which likely makes the estate theory false
z-tech factory the biggest factory producing weapons for the zombie army, in idaho, usa. it used to be free land that zomboss took control of and immediately built an automated factory, it holds anything a zombie soldier, scientist or engineer could ever want. it was the first place of attack on the plants side and is one of the most contested areas in the usa
frosty creek a homey wood factory and village in saguenay, canada. it’s a small area with a cute vibe to it, and during most months is covered in snow. only the plants and zombies with the highest tolerance for the cold can handle it here, it also once was invaded by pirate zombies. it is 3 miles away from the great white north and had the yeti king hunt in it. the plants are in primary control over it
time park this odd theme park is located in an unknown area and is only accessible via portal. it has sections for egypt, some vague dinosaur area, china and rome. it’s said to be owned by the gnomes and there was a gnomus brothers hunt here as well. it’s right next to seeds of time and oddly enough attracted the royal hypno flower to be hunted there
colizeum a leftover colosseum in rome, italy. it’s a fun place to spar and defend your gardens or tombstones, as well as being a popular tourist destination, though ultimately it is just a coloseeum. plants are mostly in control of it
lunar landing one of the two bases on the moon owned by zomboss. it is in walking distance of moon base Z, though lunar landing is much more “casual” as he’d describe it. astronauts love it here
zen peak a set of mountaintops located in xinjiang, china. it is an actual town and has a lovely view of the areas below from such high mountains, zombies do reside nearby however but just scare them off with fireworks. it is controlled by the plants
boney island an island located off the coast of africa. it is a prehistoric area and is a dig site for archaeologists. it still has clear cave paintings and bones, though it also has an active volcano sooo... it is controlled by the plants
sandy sands a desert located near cairo, egypt. it’s an ancient area that holds a pyramid and a gorgeous view of the river. due to it being a historical area, no one is allowed to build in it, even zombies. it is one of the most contested areas between the two sides and had the sasquatch hunt
frontline flats another set of flats within walking distance of the backyard battleground. a neighbourhood split into plant and zombies side, with the plants trying to defend what they have left vigorously, along with it being so close to their main base

Up North Trip
March - July 2024
As usual I was planning my next geo-trip. I ordered a Bluetti power station to use for my CPAP while Jeep camping. Corny wired it right to the car battery to charge while driving. I cut a 4" upholstery foam to fit the Jeep and zipped it inside one of my sleeping bags. I left for a few days with Corny's folding bike. At my first stop, I bought a Florida Annual State Park pass. I cached around Ocala and Lake City. I found many of the oldest geocaches in several counties. The Bluetti worked like a charm - it will last me 3 nights without a charge. I have since discovered it will be fully topped up within a few hours of driving.
I got back home and we had a new carwash open right next to our Taco Bell. We took advantage of the free vacuums and floor mat washer.
One of our builder's son-in-laws is building a house across the street from us. The day they were pouring the foundation, someone's husky got loose and went for a romp in the cement pond. He stuck his snout right into the cement! The guys chased him away and he came over to our yard to stretch out on his newly cemented belly. It is a bit bigger than our house and a lot more expensive. They had an issue with the back yard (a giant pit), so they fenced it in. Now the problem isn't visible unless you peek over to the neighbor's side of the fence.
We hit a great storage auction in Clearwater at an A/C facility. We got a nice clean fridge for Shorty, a rattan guest bedroom set for us, a phone for Corny and a floor lamp for me, among many smaller finds.
We were getting ready to take the fridge up to Shorty, so I packed my kitchen bin with my pepper grinder, spices, garlic chopper, stuff like that. We decided to leave the CrockPot at Shorty's house this time so we don't have to pack it every trip. Corny replaced it soon after I got home and I regained my will to live/cook again. I was stuck on refried bean nachos for a week or so.
I finished making some pillows for my sister to match her pretty blue/yellow flower napghan. We gave them to her on her birthday.
I left home March 28th and finished geocaching in all the GA counties. I skipped out on any Easter dinner and ate at a Panda south of Atlanta. I visited the Atlanta capitol around 7am. There was plenty of parking and a ton of cops around at that hour. I started the Tennessee State Star with the bike. The weather didn't cooperate - it was a cold, grey drizzly day. I bought some leather gloves but it was still too cold for bike riding. I'll have to catch the Star some other time. I took a library day and headed north to Kentucky. I put on two pairs of pants in the morning but it was so cold I never took off the outers. It was such a pretty drive in the country. In southeast Ohio I ran into some flooded roads.
^big holly trees
^Cowduck and a travel bug duck
^swim to the cache?
I'm pretty sure I passed the Serpent Mound. As I drove by I thought "Why in the world would a farmer want his field like that? WTH was he growing?" Later I saw a brochure at a rest area and what I saw looked just like it!
I met Corny at a rest area off of I-71. We continued to Caesar Creek State Park campground for two nights. We watched the eclipse at a Wapakoneta Wally's. None of my pictures turned out.
We got to Shorty's house April 9th. He was putting the finishing touches on a freshly remodeled bedroom with a new queen size mattress. That was my bedroom for the length of my stay! He treats me so well . . .
We were meeting Shorty at the Taco Bell next to his workplace whenever possible. We frequented Wally's, Sam's and Martin's for groceries to cook for Shorty. Our feeble selves helped put together some of his new IKEA furniture.
We ate at Franky's Tacos, Cane's, Fazoli's and of course Allie's. On one of Shorty's days off, we all checked out the Potowatamie Zoo (just blocks from his house).
I discovered a China Tree clearance/glitch: one cent Spring Mix Dots. I went back to the store several times and accumulated about 20 boxes.
In April I had an enlightening phone call with my brother. Now I know why my sister and mother have treated me like shit for the last 5-10 years.
My Dad and brother made their first visit to Shorty's house and got an informative tour. We had an awesome meal at Longhorn and warm cookies for dessert at Insomnia cookies in South Bend.
4/24 Corny and I worked in the barn, loading a 6x8' U-Haul with our junque. We treated R & A to Salvatori's Italian for letting us store our crap in their barn for 10 years. We didn't get it all this trip, but the better portion of it. Raccoons had tunneled through some of Corny's boxes, so they will have to be repackaged next time we get up there. We didn't have time to work on repacking as the U-Haul had to be returned to Florida in four days. It was too hot to work in the garage by the time I got home to Florida, so my treasures await . . .
Corny didn't want Bruno's pizza because it IS pretty expensive, but dang. I ordered some for Shorty and me a couple days after Corny left! We finished watching "Fallout" and started on "Colony".
I went to the Vera Bradley outlet sale at the Coliseum and bought a few things. I escaped spending just around $50 for three items.
I was in the process of getting ready for a Michigan county run when a distant relative died. I postponed leaving for home and didn't get back until May 31. I was up north for 2 months. Corny had just gotten home and unloaded the U-Haul when he heard about the funeral. He and Poco came back up north in the van. I went to the viewing but stepped out for the funeral.
We stayed in the van at Dad's house a few nights and helped as much as we were allowed. I made Mexican lasagne, buttermilk brownies, and chicken noodle soup. We left earlier than expected due to some drama.
Whenever we went out with my brother, an activity was required in addition to the meal. One visit we went to a Chinese buffet, Costco and Franke Park.
May 16, We all left Shorty's house. Corny and Poco headed south in the van and I headed north to Michigan in the Jeep for a week. I slept in the Jeep except one night at a hotel in Saginaw. I cached in every county up to and in the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) and most of the way back. My favorite parts were on Jeep trails to old abandoned mines. I explored the old Ford village and dipped into Wisconsin for a few counties. I stopped at several garage sales for swag. The bugs were amazing. Before even getting out of the Jeep, I had my own personal swarms of black flies and mosquitoes, attracted by the engine heat/sound. I got to see an amazing tick parade when I undressed at a McDonald's restroom one day. A great trip, but I didn't finish all the Michigan counties. I will have to come back with the folding bike because the MI State Star is along a bike path near Lansing.
We made one more trip to go see Dad; we ate at a mexican place in Huntington - Chava's, and watched the acrobatic swifts eating bugs midair at Roush Dam. We spent over an hour at a Wally's. Shorty found some $70 boots on clearance (his size!!!) for $17! God is Godd. I found an $87 icemaker. My life has changed! I haven't had a decent cold drink of kool-aid since Oldsmar (2012).
I missed a few Survivor episodes due to my travels but one day soon I will re-watch them all. I geocached my way home via Alabama.
When I got home I downloaded my geocaches and a few days later, I couldn't find my GPS. I went back through all my travel stuff, geocaching stuff and Jeep. I thought I must've left it at a restaurant or it fell out of the Jeep or something. It was so near my birthday, Corny got me a new identical one. Two days later I found the old one, hidden deep in a corner of my big fanny pack. Oof. Well now I have two spares :0)
I planted two packs of tomato seeds June 3: Roma bush and Beefsteak vine. A couple days after I left them out overnight, somebody started eating holes in the leaves. I started spraying them with dish soap/water and bringing them in at night. We shall see if they survive. (edit: they didn't)
My favorite movies since getting back home are Quiet Place, Furiosa, Watchers, and Kingdom of Planet Apes.
We went to Texas Roadhouse on our 1st Anniversary and to a movie and Carrabbas on my birthday.
Life is Godd!
We fit out.

Plastic pots can help maintain soil moisture, reducing the frequency of watering and ensuring more stable growing conditions for your plants.Plastic is a non-porous material, which means it does not absorb water. This feature is particularly beneficial in outdoor environments where pots are frequently exposed to rain or irrigation. Plastic pots do not become waterlogged, preventing damage to the pot and root rot in plants.
Plastic pots are generally more affordable compared to pots made from other materials like clay or ceramic. They are widely available at different price points, making them a cost-effective choice, especially if you have a large garden or need multiple pots. You can find durable and aesthetically pleasing plastic pots without straining your gardening budget.
In summary, plastic flower pots offer exceptional longevity and durability for outdoor use. Their weather resistance, water resistance, impact resistance, pest resistance, lightweight yet sturdy construction, low maintenance requirements, and long lifespan make them a practical and reliable choice for your outdoor garden.

✎﹏﹏ FERN. 🌿
[pairing: jeonghan x female reader, college au]
[genre: fluff]
[warnings: curse words]
[word count: 1755 words ]
❛ what’s the most polite way to say fuck you with flowers? ❜
“honey, i’m home!” you yelled as you opened the door to the flower shop where you worked part time. a familiar “welcome home!” came from the back room behind the cash register. you couldn’t help but to smile — this little habit you and your coworker have developed indicated fondness towards each other, and it made you feel better coming to work. the scents and colors around you pulled you in, leaving you speechless for a second.
your little moment was aburptly ended when junhui decided to scare you. “YAH!” he yelled loudly, grabbing your shoulders from behind. “OH MY GOD!” you screamed in a high pitched voice. he laughed, and you joined him soon after. “jun, why do you always do this?” you asked, shaking your head. he shrugged his shoulders. “i don’t know, you’re really easy to scare.”
wen junhui was a college student, like you, but he was studying at a different university, and he was a year younger. he had a really playful personality, and he always managed to bright up any room as soon as he walked in. because he immigrated from china, you sometimes helped him with learning korean. during the six months that you’ve worked at the same place as him, you two managed to get pretty close.
“anyways, i have to go now, or i’ll be late to my lectures. have a nice day!” he said energetically before leaving. you waved after him as he did the same, and then went to the back room. you put away your belongings, pinned a badge on your soft pink romper with your name, and tied your hair into a low ponytail. you were ready to start your shift.
it was around two in the afternoon, and you were just talking to a customer on the phone about what kind of flowers he would like at his wedding. you were scribbling something on the blank white paper in front of you, so you didn’t notice when someone entered the shop. even the soft bell above the door didn’t get your attention.
you only noticed the presence of someone else when you finally put your phone down. he was standing right in front of the counter, his hands supporting him as he was leaning onto it, his gaze fixed on you. for a moment, you were too startled to say anything. his eyes were beautiful because of their shape, but his look was cold and determined. it was the only cold feature on his face.
“hello. how can i help you today?” you asked, studying his face more. he was handsome, there was no doubt in that. he looked like he could be an idol. but his unique eyes were something that you just couldn’t look past. they were slightly covered by his long blonde bands, but he didn’t seem to be bothered by that.
“what’s the most polite way to say fuck you with flowers?” he asked, his voice was calm and collected. this made you wide your eyes in surprise. his bluntness took your breath away for a second. “e-excuse me?” you asked, because you simply couldn’t believe your ears. you had to make sure you heard this man correctly.
he sighed, looking to the floor. “i asked, what’s the most polite way to say fuck you with flowers,” he repeated himself, looking really fed up with the fact that he had to do so. you quickly blinked a few times, slowly coming back to your senses. “what’s the occasion?” you asked as you were making your way towards the flowers displayed on the right wall of the shop. “me and my girlfriend are celebrating our second year anniversary today,” he explained.
you turned to face him, not sure if you missed a joke here. “then why aren’t you bringing her roses? we have many wonderful colors to pick from—” “she’s been cheating on me for the past few months,” he interrupted you mid sentence. for the second time in the last five minutes you found yourself at a loss of words. his gaze was fixed on yours as you tried to say something, but you had no idea what would be appropriate for this situation.
“please spare me your pity,” he said, assuming that you woud feel sorry for him. “just give me some flowers,” he asked, and you quickly turned away, facing the wall, so he wouldn’t see how confused you still were about this unusual situation. “okay, time to think,” you reminded yourself, taking a deep breath. “what is the least romantic flower you know?” you asked yourself, eyes scanning the entire shop. an idea suddenly popped into your head. “please wait a second,” you said and quickly went to the storage space in the back, where you stored decorations and some flowers.
after a few minutes you returned with a bunch of fern in your hand. the boy was leaning casually on the counter, scrolling through his phone, his facial expression not chainging at all. “do you want me to wrap this up for you?” you spoke a bit louder so you were sure he heard you. he looked away from his phone screen, and when he saw the plant in your right hand, it was like there was a new person standing in front of you. every single line of his face softened, like he tried really hard before to keep such a neutral expression. his lips curled into a wide smile that suited him nicely, and his cold, piercing gaze softened. he looked like a different person now, and the aura around him became warm. “please, arrange it like it would be the prettiest boquet you’ve ever seen,” he said.
the sudden change in his energy made you relax more, and you decided to do your best with decorating. minutes passed by, and he just watched your fingers do their job with the ribbon, like you’ve been doing this for your entire life. after you were done, you showed him the final product, and he just nodded, smile still plastered on his face. “it’s perfect. thank you for your hard work and effort,” he said. “you’re welcome,” you replied, as you printed out his receipt. “please shop here again soon!” you added, and you caught just a glimpse of his smirk before he turned around and left.
“what a strange customer,” you said quietly to yourself, before returning to doing the things you reguraly did when there were no clients in the shop.
»»————- two weeks later ————-««
it was saturday, and you had a day off at your job. you were just walking from the gym, and you decided to go through the park. the sun was shining brightly, birds were singing, and there were quite a few people having a fun saturday in the nature. nothing was out of the ordinary that day. it was just another casual saturday.
then, you noticed something on the side of the pavewalk where you were walking. it was a bush of fern. suddenly, you remembered the weird request from a customer about two weeks ago, when you sold him a bunch of fern. he hasn’t crossed your mind once since, but now that you were looking at this plant, you suddenly remembered his eyes. how unique and beautiful they were, and how they reflected his entire energy. there was something special in those eyes.
“it worked,” you suddenly heard someone say from behind. you got startled, and quickly turned your head to the left to see who spoke to you so suddenly. it was the same boy whose eyes you were just thinking about because you remembered them so well. “e-excuse me?” you manage to blurt out. he let out a little laugh. “do you always stutter and say excuse me when you get flustered and don’t know what to say?” he asked, a wide smile on his face. his eyes were just as soft as you remembered them from the last encounter you had with him.
now he really left you dumbfounded and speechless, because you didn’t know what to respond to that. you didn’t know what else to do, so you just looked at your running shoes, trying not to show how embarassing this was for you. “i said, it worked. it turns out you really know how to politely say fuck you with flowers,” he said. that made you happy. you were glad to see you gave a customer what they came in to look for.
“i’m glad i could help,” you said and smiled at him. now he was the one that looked down at his shoes, and you sensed his smile disappearing. “we broke up. it was hard letting her go, but i know it was for the best.” again, you didn’t really know what to say. he was a stranger to you, and here he was confessing his feelings to his ex girlfriend. but you heard it in his voice that he was hurt, and you somehow wanted to help him, even if you didn’t know him.
“it only takes time to heal. time, and someone you can talk to. it’s always easier letting go if you can talk about it. and get angry. go to the gym, punch a punching bag. scream into a river. it should help,” you said. these were the only advices you could give him. he looked into your eyes again, smile reappearing on his face. “you know, i’ve been to many flower shops on that day. they all looked at me like i was a creeper, and said they couldn’t help me. but you still did your job, even if my request was so odd. so thank you for that. you made it very easier for me.”
that made you happy. knowing that you’ve helped somebody made you happy. “i’m glad i could help. at the end of the day, all i did was do my job.” now you were both smiling, looking at each others eyes for a few seconds. the more you looked at his eyes, the more you realised how mesmerizing they were.
“are you by any chance interested in screaming to a river with me?” he asked, his gaze remaining fixed onto yours. his bluntness took the words out of your mouth yet again, but this time, you were already familiar with that feeling when talking to him. you shook your head slightly. “this is going to be the weirdest first time hanging out ever,” you said.

Kakemono (or kakejiku)
In Europe we had the tapestries, wall hanging decorations that served both the dual purpose of holding off the cold that permeated castles and palaces and for decorative purposes. But Asia, cradle of many incredibly beautiful, intricate and long-perfected arts, also had wall decorations.
Kakemono (also called Kakejiku) is a scroll that is made from either paper or silk, made for being hung up, and which includes generally some kind of art, be it either calligraphy or a painting.
On its ends, there are these thin rollers, called jiku, whose weight help ensure the surface of the roll is kept extended when hung up, and that the kakemono can be rolled up easily and compactly for storage.
Unlike makimono (which is extended horizontally), the kakemono must be rolled out and hung up vertically as part of the decoration of a room.
Why use them for decor?
Unlike biombos or shohekiga (the beautifully decorated sliding doors), kakemonos could be easily and quickly changed to be adapted to the season or the specific event.
A bit of history about kakemonos
The origins of kakemono are rooted in the Tang Dynasty of China (VIIth Century), very probably taking inspiration from sutras, that were rolled up and stored. In addition, the dissemination of mural-type paintings that came from the Tibet, would have contributed, as this format (easily portable, smaller) facilitated distribution.
It was later introduced into Japan during the Heian era (794 – 1185), although focused mostly on Buddhist representations, calligraphy or poetry.
From the Muromachi era (1336 – 1573) onwards, with the influence of Zen Buddhism, kakemono was linked with the tea ceremony. Even the motifs went a subtle transformation: landscapes, flowers, birds, portraits, although poetry remained. This made kakemonos more of an art work than an object used for religious purposes.
And what about now?
Currently, kakemonos may contain calligraphy and paintings of all genres, up an including ukiyo-e (in which case the kakemono is then called kakemono-e). Types of kakemono:If width is shorter than height: tatejikuIf width is longer than height: yokojiku
Kakemonos can also be exhibited in a group:2 kakemonos in a diptych: soufuku3 kakemonos in a triptych : sampukutsui or kakejiku4 kakemonos: yonpukutsuiThere are also groupings of 6, 8, even 12 kakemonos

A Starry Starry Night: Ikemen Vampire
This fanfic contains the following trigger warning: Brief mention of suicide
OC (Anitis) x Vincent
Type: Fluffy, but slightly angst songfic
Special thanks to kilesplaysthings for letting me use their headcanon for this which you can find in the link below!

(There may be inaccurate Dutch translations, but it’s the best I could do with Google Translate ^^;)
A Starry, Starry, Night
Anitis came down to the kitchen in the mansion as she waited for Sebastian to begin her duties in another day of serving vampires. The revelation of what Le Comte said was a little hard to fully comprehend even after 4 days living in the mansion: the fact that everyone (Except for Sebastian) were all vampires bounded by contracts by Comte de Saint Germain. However, after Sebastian and Comte explained to her how vampires work, she decided that it would be safest living in the mansion for the month until she could return home to her time. However, there have been two people that she has always admired since she was studying in her art school days: the Van Gogh brothers Vincent and Theodorus.
Their works have inspired her since she was a child, with most of her artwork reflecting more of the still lifes and portraits that she had read in the several art textbooks. She always looked up the Van Gogh brothers for inspiration and motivation and though Theodorus seem to not like her and she is occasionally on edge because of that, she still respected him now regardless.
As she waited for Sebastian to arrive, she sat down and looked at the kitchen, looking away from the stove with some uneasiness. “Anitis, calm down. If Sebastian says that you need to cook, just tell him that you’re still too uncomfortable,” she muttered as she left that mentality. Then, with a small breath, she started humming softly.
“Starry starry night... Paint your palette blue and grey...”
“Anitis, why are you humming like a worried goat?” Sebastian said as he looked to Anitis.
“Sebastian!” Anitis jumped at the sudden arrival. “Apologies, I was just… preparing myself for shadowing!” Slight sweat formed up as she profusely nodded, “Yep! Nothing wrong!”
Sebastian looked at her for a moment until he gave her a hard flick to her face. As Anitis rubbed her face from the sudden pain, Sebastian sighed. “Next time I suggest that you do not conceal any lies for both of our sakes,” Sebastian chided. He then took out a serving tray and pitcher. “Come, the food will not serve itself,” Sebastian said as he went on. Within the dining hall dwelled the van Gogh brothers for the day.
“Why are you here?” Theodorus scoffed at Anitis as she enters. “Unless you’re the appetizer, you can take your leave.”
“Actually no. I’m training to be the server and hopefully not become the served,” Anitis commented politely as she stays behind to shadow Sebastian.
“It seems you’re more of a Knabbeljte then I thought,” Theodorus said as Sebastian gently put down the pancakes beside him.
“Theo, it is rude to call her that,” Vincent said. He then turned over to Anitis. “I apologize for my younger brother’s behavior. He becomes shy around new people,” he said warmly with a smile.
Anitis gave a small smile. “Thank you, Vin-eh Master Vincent,” she said as she continued to quietly shadow Sebastian. Still, even with Theodorus’s words being harsh, it was true. She was nothing more than a visitor at best, and even though Comte and Sebastian tried to make her feel as comfortable as they could, she still felt small.
---
Vincent saw her smile as she passed by. A hollow smile that betrayed forced happiness. It was a smile that was familiar to him, but it was from the back of his mind. As she was almost about to leave with Sebastian, he gave a smile. “May you have a good day, Anitis,” Vincent said in an assuring way. Anitis gave back a small smile. “Thank you, Master Vincent,” she said softly. However, Vincent shook his head. “Just Vincent,” he said warmly. Nodding, she then left at Sebastian’s instruction.
It was another day of occasional banter, Anitis doing housework with Sebastian as the vampires were in the point of slightly opening up, but were still very cold to them. Vincent stayed inside most of the day in his room, painting a vase of white carnations.
The evening has arrived as Vincent picked up the vase to return the vase to Theodorus’s room. As he opened up his door and awaited for Theodorus, he heard a faint voice at the end on the corridor where Anitis’s room was located.
“Starry, starry night, paint your palette blue and grey. Look out on a summer's day with eyes that know the darkness in my soul.”
Her voice was as clear as the night sky that this evening brought forth as he waited on. Theodorus came up to his door as "I guess you’re hearing her Theo?” Vincent asked as Theodorus nodded. “I was getting worried. If you want her quiet, you don’t need to say it twice.” Vincent then walked towards the voice as Theodorus looked back, “Vincie, the location of the vase is on the other side,” Theodorus said to him.
”Now I understand what you tried to say to me.”
Vincent went more forward to the sound as if entranced when Theodorus grabbed his hand. “Come on, Vincent,” Theodorus said impatiently as he tried to pull him away. However, Vincent stayed put and though it didn’t seem he was pulling, his strength underlying it is definitely present. “No Theo, I want to hear this song,” he said with a serious face.
“...perhaps they’ll listen now.”
Theo, looking rather surprised, turned around in a slightly annoyed expression. “Fine, but I’m coming with you.”
“Of course,” Vincent said as he went on.
“Starry starry night… flaming flowers that brightly blaze. Swirling clouds in violet haze reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.”
Vincent stopped at his name after arriving dangerously close to Anitis’s room. He had blue eyes, his name was Vincent, but he couldn’t grasp on why she’d used the lyric “Starry starry night”. Unless she meant...
“Colors changing hue: Morning fields of amber grain; Weathered faces lined in pain are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.” Anitis’s voice was much softer as she gently paused, almost as if she’s taking a break.
Theodorus looked at his brother and slightly shook him. There was a very rare expression of worry. “Broer? I think we should go,” he whispered softly. However, the expression of his beloved brother was a very serious one as he looked on. He gently shook his head, not making a sound as looked to Anitis’s door and placed down the vase. Theo then clenched his teeth and muttered under his breath, “Heb er geen spijt van...” He then stayed low with Vincent, ready to hide behind a curtain if need be.
Anitis’s voice came back to singing, but now it almost seemed hesitant to sing the next part of the song.
“Now I understand what you tried to say to me. And how you suffered for your sanity, and how you tried to set them free.”
Vincent looked up as she looked at the room again. Did she make this song? Or if she didn’t, how was she able to make it sound so... genuine? Like it was meant to be for him?
”They would not listen, they did not know how. Perhaps they'll listen now.”
Anitis’s voice slightly cracked at the last note as she continued on, but this time her voice wobbled so much that it can be interpreted that she might be crying.
”For they could not love you, but still your love was true...”
Her voice became softer as the brothers got closer to the door to try to hear the words. Both of them were especially cautious about walking. Not just because of being discovered, but the direction of the song that it was going. What they failed to account for was the location of the vase.
---
Anitis’s voice was small as she recalled the next two lines. The most touching and rawest lines in the song as she prepared for bed.
“And when no hope was left in sight on that starry, starry night, You took your life as lovers often do...”
She paused for a bit, but then as she looked up, she smiled and sang, “But I could have told you, Vincent: This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”
Crash! A broken vase was heard outside of her bedroom door. She then placed on a bed robe to cover her nightgown as she opened her door. There was no one outside from she could see with only the moonlight as a guide. “Is-is someone out there?” she asked nervously. “I’m sorry Anitis,” Vincent said as he came up to her with an embarrassed expression. “I was only relocating this vase to the proper pedestal, but it was broken by accident,” Vincent said as he motioned to the now broken vase of white carnations.
“Oh, good evening Vincent,” she said as she opened the door. “Do you need help? I can get a broom and clean it up,” she said as she was about to leave. "It’s fine,” Theodorus said as he stepped out of the curtain. “It’ll be worse off if you tried to clean it,” he snapped as he worked on cleaning it up.
“Wait, why was Theo hiding behind a curtain? Actually, why are you two here this late?” she asked skeptically. Vincent slightly blushed as he fiddled with his fingers. “Well, we were going to return the vase, truly. However, your song was so beautiful that we had to come and listen,” Vincent said with a smile. “Speak for yourself, I hated it,” Theo said as he cleaned up the dirt and flowers with the bags in a storage room nearby. He then walked away as one of the carnations fell to the floor.
Anitis’s face turned beet red and she couldn’t care less at this point about Theodorus. “Y-you were listening?” she stammered as she looked down, trying to hide her face. “How much of it?”
“The last line was, ‘This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you’ I believe,” he gently said. Anitis’s face turned even redder as she started to close the door to her room. “Do you have a sudden fever, Anitis? I could call Sebastian if you need to,” he said in concern.
“Please don’t! Anything but that!” Anitis said as she burst the door open once again. “I’m alright, truly!” she restated, though she was bowing her head to keep her blush hidden.
Vincent then frowned. “So... is what you said about the song true? About how I was too beautiful for this world?”
Anitis looked up shyly. “Well, in my time, you’re a famed artist, but there were other artists whos portraits hung in empty halls and they became frameless heads on nameless walls. Those artists became poor beggar strangers that I would meet, with their ragged clothes,” she said. “However, you were one of my idols as an artist... And now I’m here and now in a world where I’m unfamiliar with, I just sang this song. It was one of my favorites,” she said. Vincent nodded with a look of understanding. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to spoil the mood,” she said as she slightly laughed.
Vincent then walked to the fallen carnation as Anitis looked up in confusion. “Well, now I think I know what you tried to say to me at breakfast this morning,” he said to her as he returned with the flower with the utmost care. “On how you silently suffered to keep your sanity in line and how you tried to set yourself free from the chaos inside you.” He then looked at her in a kind, but sad sympathy as he placed the carnation in her hands. “If you ever need someone to talk with about anything, just let me know. I’ll help you out however I can,” he sincerely reiterated as he gave a smile. However, a few tears were starting to form within him as well. “Your song made me remember several things in my life that have been good and bad. However, to have expressed it so beautifully, I’m touched, honored, and humbled to even be considered an idol of yours,” he said as he gave a small gentleman curtsy.
Anitis then gave a smile as tears started forming in her own eyes. However, these did spill. “Yes, Vincent. Thank you so much,” she said as she bowed deeply and gave a true smile- one that outshone the moonlight and brought forth the day in Vincent’s eyes. Vincent then smiled as he wiped away some of her tears gently. “No. Thank you, Anitis,” he said as he bid her goodnight.
---
As for Theodorus, he had returned to his room far earlier than the intimate exchange they had. He laid on his bed in contemplation. This woman both infuriated and relieved him as she was able to have Vincent see a new perspective of himself, but also on how much of an idiot she was for wanting to leave this place, yet sang a song that could have basically been interpreted as a love letter to his brother if he wasn’t so dense. However, he sighed. “Maybe the Knabberjlte might have some use. However, the last thing I want is to have him harmed by her, let alone falling in love with her,” he said. “Maybe I can talk to someone about this later,” he said as he closed his eyes. “Perhaps no one would want to listen and they probably never will, but I’ll do it for mijn broer,” he thought as he drifted to sleep.

my love ♡
From Cute Nickname Asks. my love - what would your dream home be like?
Oh, what a wonderful question. I’ve been working hard on a presentation for work, and this is just the thing to relax my brain. Thank you so much for sending it in! I really want my own place; it didn’t used to feel important, but over the years of renting places I don’t even like, I’ve really started yearning for a home. I don’t think I’ll have a big place; looking at London, I’m priced out of an absurdly large chunk of it. Even if I’m lucky enough to move in with someone else, and even if we move out of town, where I live will be modest in size. But if I can have anywhere at all, I’d be pretty lucky so I guess I’ll do the best that I can.
I don’t like kitchens, they are usually hot, sticky and way too small. So maybe an open plan kitchen and dining area? So I or a theoretical partner don’t have to be stuck there alone whilst cooking, and if you have friends or family round you can mingle whilst things cook. Storage units would be accessible to my shortass self, unless whoever I’m with wants a permanent job reaching things for me. It’s too annoying when things you need every day are out of reach and out of sight.
I’d like a couple of guest rooms so I can have friends over, the way they have me over sometimes. It’d be so nice to just... entertain. I’m not much of a cook and not a domestic goddess at all, but I just want to stay in and invite friends or family for dinner and play games. I want there to be enough space for people; I’m used to not being able to invite people round, and always having to go to theirs, so it’d be so nice to have a space of my own. Speaking of games; there has to be some sort of games room. Maybe it’d be an open plan living room (or not, depending on how noisy games are, and whether there are kids),but there needs to be somewhere to relax, and have fun. There has to be some kind of living space; somewhere you can chill on the sofa and watch TV; in reality this’d probably be merged with either your dining space (and even kitchen) or your games room. But it’d have to be there. I can’t live without a sofa to curl up on with someone, or an armchair from which to dangle at an unorthdox angle. I would love for it to be full of light, maybe a nice window seat and a nice fireplace; even if it is fake. I want somewhere which feels light and airy during the summer, but which feels warm and cozy when it’s cold. I have several blankets, so rest assured anywhere I live will be cozy. I’d love to have a library; or at least room for enough shelves to store my books and comics, plus enough room for whatever books any partner brings with them, or any kids collect. I guess a home office or studio space would be nice; I’m an artist and I need somewhere to keep my art kit and my computer/tablets. One day, I’d like one of those amazing tablets that you draw on. I’d like ot to be a space that if I was living with someone, we could share together even if it just meant quietly sitting whilst doing separate stuff. I’d like to get my computer/desk out of the bedroom - it feels so studenty living like that, and sleep experts recommend not mixing work and sleep spaces.
A master bedroom with an ensuite. Because why not? We’re talking about my dream home, not what I’ll realistically afford. It’d be nice to have a biiiig bath. I’m not even a big person and I can barely fit in the bath and feel comfortably covered. And whilst we’re at it, a decent sized bed. I am so over sleeping in a tiny single bed most of the time, and whether I have a partner or not, I’d want a big, comfy space to sleep in. It’s gotta have blackout curtains, in case I do nights. If I’m talking a dream house, a balcony would be lovely; every house has them where I’m originally from, and I miss them. If there are kids, perhaps a kids’ playroom would be nice (or kids having big enough rooms to play in them) so that if I have any kids, they feel they have their own space that they get some say in. When my fictional and hypothetical kids are little, they will share a room so that they can play together and not feel lonely, but when they are older, I’d love for them to have their own rooms and privacy and so they can work uninterrupted. This number of rooms seems like a sheer luxury, but we’re talking dream houses, so it’s OK. In real life, I can’t see myself having spare rooms of any sort if I have kids, I’m not even sure how I’d afford enough rooms to keep theoretical kids in. But hey, that’s Future Dx’s distand and theoretical problem.I imagine it to be a pretty eclectic place; my room at my parents is a bit cluttered with weird and wonderful things, like a Studio Ghibli character’s room. I’d love to imagine art on the walls (mine and other people’s), and things that I love on display. It might end up pretty... eclectic, but that’s OK. I appreciate classical beauty and neat houses, but that’s also just not me, not on its own. So I might have nice pretty ‘normal’ things, there may well be a scintilating dice collection where most people keep their prize china. There may be tasteful anime art on the walls. Comics on the library bookshelves. Hey, it’s my house, I’ll nerd it up as much as I want! I imagine it as looking like my room at my parents; there are all sorts of unrelated things chucked together, and lots of it is aesthetically pleasing, and it all sort of works in a slightly messy but charming way? Imagine an elegant (but eclectic) Victorian collector who just happens to have discovered anime and DnD. I’m going to need storage space, both on display and dovered, because minimalism is not my thing. I have no idea what the colour scheme will be like, but there will not be a magnolia wall in the house. I can imagine having photos of friends and family on the walls; say in the hall, so friends can see them and reminisce when they come over. If I was with someone, it’d be nice to find a way to merge both sets of photos and also make new ones. I’ll be honest, I just haven’t taken many photos of myself or friends lately for years; I’ve had to make a conscious effort to start again. Because I don’t want my entire life to be undocumented. If I’m not living alone, it won’t be only my things; if I’m with someone, I’d want them to feel that the space was equally theirs, and I’d make sure that the things they love are also included. I don’t believe in the expectation that women decorate and men have a ‘man cave’ somewhere; I’d want everyone I live with to feel like the space is theirs. If I have kids, I’d love for them to feel included, too. I’m gonna be that embarrassing parent who puts their kids’ trophies pride of place and talks to their friends about their kids’ pokemon collection.
I’d love a garden. It doesn’t have to be big, but I want to be able to get some fresh air, maybe sit outside at sunset with people I care about. I want to plant some low- effort plants which smell nice and have pretty flowers and make me happy. No lawns, because I had to look after a tiny lawn once, and it was still too much effort. I want there to be lots of birds, and plenty of bugs. If I have kids, they can play out there and get muddy to their hearts’ content; it never did me any harm. There will be a cat, if I have my way. OK, there might be more pets than a cat, but it’d depend on how much time I had, and whether anyone I lived with could tolerate pets. If I lived alone, there’d be pets for sure.
That’s probably more than enough. Right now, I’d settle for my own space, a fridge that isn’t always full of other people’s food, and a decent bathroom. But one day, it’d be nice if I could get some of the above ticked off, at least.

2, 22, 134 w/ angst if you will please !
2. Can you shut up for five minutes, please???
22. I don’t know why I married you.
134. You don’t mean that.
He could smell it the moment he entered the apartment.
The salty anger, the bitter frustration, all resonating from within the walls he called home. If he was being honest with himself-which he rarely was-he should have seen this coming from a mile away. Sixteen hours ago he had promised to be home ten hours before here, promising his husband the night of love and affection he so desperately wanted. But one thing lead to another and Richie had found himself knee deep in a party he didn’t know he had been invited to. He should have just left, should have turn tail and ran the moment he had been noticed but publicity was like his drug, and once he was on that high it was hard to come down.
His body was submissive, cowering close to the floor as he drug his feet across the expensive carpet. There was no shouting, no hiss of his lover or explosion of curses and accusations. Instead there was Eddie, sitting at the well set up dinner with his hand in his face and his shoulders slumped. Richie didn’t know what to do, he wanted so desperately to call out to him, to apologize for his lapse of judgment but he felt as if it wasn’t his place so instead he waited.
And waited.
Minutes felt like hours, hours like days and after what was like forever Richie just wanted to scream. His mouth opened but his throat clenched, making a small, animistic noise that wasn’t acceptable for the movie star of his caliber. Even after ears his husband knew exactly what to do to make him feel three feet tall. Finally Eddie spoke though his fingers, his tone flat and emotionless. “I saw you on TMZ, at that rappers party downtown.”
“Eds I-”
“No.” Eddie growled, still buried in his own palms. “No, you don’t get to come in here and call me that.”
“I lost track of time.” Richie whined, pulling off his leather jacket and tossing it onto the couch. He took a step closer, noticing the effort that had been put into the dinner that had gone cold long before. It all made him sick, made him guilty which again-he should have expected. “It looks so great Eddie, I’m sorry that I missed it but let me make it up to you okay? We can go to that Italian restaurant that you like so much and I can get you fresh flowers and diamonds and fuck-whatever you want.”
“You just don’t get it do you?” Eddie scoffed, slamming his downs onto the mahogany making Richie jump in surprise. The chair screamed out as Eddie pushed it back, telling the story of what could have been. Eddie turned to him then, his eyes puffy and red, his lips swollen, his body just so tired. He was wearing his best button down, one that Richie had gotten him last Christmas but it was now crumpled in places that made his weeping that much more obvious. “I don’t give a fuck about this dinner, this food doesn’t mean shit!” Eddie hissed, picking up his dinner plate and slamming it to the floor where the china shattered with the explosion of his strength. “I asked you to come home, for once to just be home when you said you would be and you couldn’t do that could you? Had to go and show your face, had to put your carrier above me!”
“That’s not fair.” Richie found himself protesting, even though his brain was telling him to keep quiet. “This is my job, you knew what you were getting into when you moved to LA with me, knew that I would be out working late and sometimes that takes priority over date night.”
“Oh my god.” Eddie half chuckled, half sobbed making the earth quake under him. “Can you shut up for five minutes, please? Just once don’t justify you’re shitty actions on your carrier or you’r manager or whatever fucking piece of ass is on the top of the charts. Take responsibility, tell me this is your fault!”
“It’s my fault okay!” Richie shouted, his throat hoarse and his voice cracked. “I knew I was running late and I decided to stay at that party instead of coming home! Does that make this better? Does it fix any of this? No! I’m sorry, it was a shitty thing to do! I know that!”
“You know that?” Eddie repeated, pulling at his scalp with his nimble fingers. “You know that I’ve been planning this for months, that I took off the entire day to put this together and you still-fuck Richie.” He choked on his own words, shaking his head and lowering his tone into something much more gut wrenching. “This is the third time this month that you’ve blown me off. Do you know how many times we’ve had sex in the past six weeks? None. Not once, whatever you are getting out there must be enough to make you forget your husband.”
“I am not cheating on you.” Richie blurted instantly, knowing what the tabloids had been publishing and feeling defensive at the blatant lies. “I don’t care what any of those people say, I’m faithful to you Eddie. I promise.”
“There are more ways to cheat than just sex.” Eddie muttered, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “We don’t talk, don’t spend time together, I never see you unless I force you to take notice of me. You make me second guess myself, make me feel so worthless and it’s like you couldn’t care less. Whatever was between us before, the love and affection, it’s just gone and I-” He paused then, taking in a ragged breath before finishing, “I don’t know why I married you. Not anymore.“
“You don’t mean that.” Richie whispered, staring at his husband with a broken veil, the pain apparent in his voice. “Eddie, I’m sorry I missed dinner and I’ll admit that it’s been hard lately but I love you. Please, just please let me take you out and make this better,”
“How can you make this better?” He asked, tears clumping against his lashes making Richie feel so small. “Do you really think a fancy dinner and expensive wine is going to fix this marriage?”
“I can change.” Richie blurted, stepping forward and crowding Eddie’s space. This didn’t go well because the minute his had rose to touch his husband it was swatted aside, falling drastically to his side, making his heart clench. “I can do better, I can be better. Just give me a chance.”
“It’s funny you know.” Eddie said, stepping away from his lover with tear stained cheeks. “The moment you think I’m leaving you decide that you can do better when not even ten minutes ago you were blaming your job and telling me that I should have expected this. I need a husband Richie, not a room mate.”
“I am your husband.”
“Are you?” Eddie asked, honestly asked with wide, amused eyes. “Is that what we are calling it now?”
“Eddie-”
“I bought a plane tickets out of LA. I leave tonight and should land in New York early tomorrow morning.”
“No. Eddie don’t-”
“Beverly and Ben are going to take me in until I can figure out what I’m going to do.” He finished, not bothering to even address Richie’s plea of attention. “I’ll text you when I land and let you know when to expect the movers to be here to move my things into storage.”
“Please.” Richie whispered, desperation now vibrating from every fiber in his being. “Don’t do this. I love you, don’t leave me.”
Eddie broke, sobbing and withering the moment his husband had spoke and Richie instantly wished it all back. The late nights, the parties, the missed opportunists, his failure as a husband. He wanted to go to him, to kiss away the tears and tell his Eddie that it was all going to be okay even when he himself didn’t believe it because if he was being honest with himself-which he rarely was- he would have known their marriage was doomed that first night he had stumbled home with an intoxicated excuse on his tongue. Eddie managed to reply, untouched and alone across the kitchen floor, where his last attempt to salvage his marriage lay broken into a thousand pieces.
“You already left me Richie. I’m just following in your footsteps.”
Richie only cried.

Coffee 🫖☕️ on a cold weather.
I’ve browsed all kinds of online shopping app to find cottagecore items like this pero ang mamahal. Merun affordable pero unavailable shipping location naman. Bakit ganun. Si shopee lang tlga matibay magship thru JNTEXPRESS dito LDS, I’m so thankful tho! Merun na sa msu! I actually have already received couple of parcels thru JNT-MSU! I’m so glad! Pero si lazada, amazon, and shein mga paborito kung bilhan eh walang lanao del sur or di kaya COD isn’t available.😥 Si zalora dati pwd magship sa Lanao del sur ngaun hnd na?
Anyways, I’m really glad that I’ve found this cottagecore like teacups of mom ☕️ at the back of this is made from france. So I think this is a good quality brand and I think also baka luminarc din to like her other set of collections but I’m not so sure kase may luminarc nakalagay sa other collections niya. I almost forgot Mom’s collection kase subrang nadurog heart ko nung masira ng siege ung karamihan ng collection niya like her exquisite goblets, nabibili niya un pagnaghhajj or umrah sila, kaya nawalaan ako ng interest in seeing/look out for them. But this one together with its set are still intact kung saan sila nkarrange. Merun din full/plain white niyan with its sugar and coffee pots. Soon, I will use one of them. I can’t use all of them baka kase masira :( yan lang tlga ung mga natira sa collection ni mommy. But I’m so glad seeing them kase they’re so aesthetic and is today’s trend. Ngaun lang nagtrend mga ganitong gamit kung pa extinct naman ung amin🥲 tapos ung mga nabibili mostly ngaun puro made in china na. Halos lahat quality brand or not. But the quality of the item has bigger difference. Ung ngaun madali masira or magcrack. Pati nga ung mga Ivy plant leaves and bouquet of flowers? We used to have bundles of those. Pero ung natira dito itinatapon lang nila kaya ung nakita ko while cleaning this week I just washed them, soon I’ll recycle it. I’m planning to put vines and led lights on my bed rods just like ung mga room makeover sa YT🥲 na iinspired ako magmakeover kunwari. And I’m still cleaning lots and restoring some old furnitures. And still lots of bulky comforters to wash pero sa laundry shop ko na yata mapawash yun kase hnd kakayanin ng washing machine namin 9.5kg lang kaya nun. And InshaAllah i will recycle those and everything we still have since I’ve been wanting minimalism vibes now— i think I’d better act like one from the root word minimal. I won’t buy stuffs kung merun naman and kung luma na or sira maybe I would think how to restore it back. Minimalism + creativity 🥲 right? Maybe cleaning, new drawer knobs, screws, white paints or bronze or white adhesive paper, sandpapers and bond tightening will do the job. When you’re minimalism you have to be space saver so I won’t buy more items kase wala na silang space dito tlga, sa dami ng mga gamit dko na tlga alam saan sila ilalagay. My new room isn’t that spacious. To be minimalist dapat walang nakikitang kalat. Or empty as possible. But that cannot happen I’m gonna need nice storage na paglagyan o di kaya make use of the old ones pero kelangan muna nila ng makeover. Kaya ang dami ko tlgang gagawin. Pati nrn sa sala. I’ve been thinking how to rearrange those. Mom used to change our old sofa’s cover sa may upholstery pero I just can’t do what mom can, how i missed her tlga🥺 I want to buy new one pero I can’t let go of mom stuffs kahit gaano ka luma na mga un.😢 Maybe even if I’ll buy new one I will still restore and keep those (in shaa Allah, ameen). Yeah, I can relate so much from Mr. Bilbo Baggins, the Hobbit in LOTR coz we’re kind of people who can’t leave our house even though we love adventures. We choose to stay. Because for us, our home is enough to find joy, comfort and peace with. We can find joy and appreciate its simple pieces especially, pieces our parents left behind and by just protecting and saving these heirlooms, we feel like they’re still lively with us. We always feel loved, we belong and safe. We appreciate every little things in it. It’s home.❤️✨
While sipping up from this teacup— I was like, mommy, I miss you. And I’m trying to hold my tears back. I used to tell her kase na pagaling siya kase marami kaming gagawin na bonding time just like sipping coffees together while using her favorite collections and I even told her, pagaling siya kase sabay kaming tatanda. Na aalagaan niya magiging apo niya sakin. She smiles like she’s being teased while holding her tears back too. 🥺😔
