Crafting forecast has changed! Some local organizations are looking for, well, a lot of things for disaster relief, but the one I can help with is the request for baby blankets so I am switching into baby blanket mode for I don't know how long
#the person behind the yarn#at least a week probably#depends on what fabric I have on hand and when I can get to the store#I might try to use what I have on hand and hope joanns does another sale this weekend?#because I just missed their last sale on flannel#but I can make patchwork flannel blankets#and regular quilts#Basic Baby Quilt Time#I am rarely so aware of my physical limitations as at times like this#where I really want to help. and I might be able to! but if I am wrong about how much I can help#someone will have to leave the location where we are working to take me home#and if I am honest it's not a question of IF I will have to leave early but WHEN#so I am more helpful by not going because other people won't have to leave early#if my stupid circulatory system would just cooperate I could help! In the first year the biennial Verbascum thapsus (great mullein, Aaron's rod, beggar's blanket, cow's lungwort, duffle, feltwort, flannel leaf, fluffweed, rag paper, torch lily, velvet dock) produces a rosette of large wooly grey-green leaves. In the second year a tall, upright, woolly stem is produced bearing yellow, saucer-shaped flowers popular with pollinators.

i took my shirt off earlier cause i was gonna get dressed properly and go for a walk and i have just been wrapped in a blanket for a few hours now. i want to go get a snack but the idea of putting a shirt on is decidedly unappealing (sensory issues yay). will have to make Some kind of decision here

MY BATHTUB IS FIXED I AM GOING TO TAKE A BATH TONIGHT
#I am pretty sure I've got whatever midge had#but because I am a weirdo all I feel is odd and tired#I'm not coughing or anything just feel like I'm...#it's like I'm walking around a dollhouse and everything is just a little not real and far from me#or like being in an oil painting#I realize this sounds disturbing if this never happens to you--this is extremely normal for me for being sick like some people get a headac#It's uncomfortable but not that big of a deal#anyway dinner and very hot bath and then very soft flannel pajamas and a trip under the ol 20 pound blanket can fix me#I've gotten so sick this winter its been very bizarre

Strawberry baby blanket is complete! I took plenty of photos as I finished it, so I should have the baby blanket tutorial up soon
If I’m remembering correctly, this is my eighth baby blanket this week, which is pretty good! I’d sort of been aiming for ten but I’m happy with eight
