Sorry so random and hate to asking this like you’re google search engine but what is the deal with Vale and his parents lol

big question! im not sure how much you know so i'll generally cover as many bases as i can and sort of. gather some resources that might help you form a picture.

his dad: graziano rossi. former racer (his peak was finishing third in the 250cc class the year vale was born) who had to retire after some scary injuries (crucial for maximum vale neuroses). in terms of their relationship, first go peruse this webweave from @kwisatzworld. actually i frankly think theyre a better person to answer this question wholesale but i digress. important to note that vale straight up is like yeah he was not a good father lol. ALSO notable that graziano is asked what kind of son vale is and says 'one i can brag about to friends' which. okay. graziano also will not shut the fuck UP about vale in print (he was kind of the one to break rosquez not really being close friends anymore post-assen? for some reason??) which idk if my dad was constantly talking about me to reporters i would feel weird about that. like that is not something that i would enjoy. seems a bit like they have the sort of relationship dozens of us divorced children have with our parents where we can kind of only talk to our dad about sports.

additionally, his parents had him quite young (25 for graziano and in the thick of his racing career, unsure for his mom) and you get a sense that vale thinks they should not have done that.... he doesnt super call them 'mom' or 'dad', instead using their first names, he says they have a more 'friendly' relationship than parental, and apparently his dad and him just started saying i love you to each regularly uh. recently. heres a video of him talking about it (i get the sense the divorce exacerbated these issues as well). that being said i DO also think that vale is closer with his mom in general (she lived in his house for a long time! they lived together during covid as well!) (his mom is named stefania palma and shes a civil engineer, which i think kind ties into how journalists often mention that luca and vale talk about the bike like theyre engineers. i literally dont think that is coincidence, i think they got it from their super hot and smart mom...) heres a bit about her and graziano (x):

theres also LUCA. who is obviously his half brother (he has a few other half siblings on graziano's side, but they arent famous so we dont know as much. i get the sense they arent as close just by virtue of their difference in involvement w racing but its hard to say! its clear hes close with luca, ESPECIALLY after the academy really got going and luca got a bit older.) luca is born in 1997 when vale is 18 years old and just kicking off his career, so hes kind of never known a world where vale wasnt insanely famous. luckily and ironically his father is a sports psychologist. luca's story kind of ties in with stefania's (obviously), and here's a post about how some of the stuff going on in their lives mightve effected them and of course vale. idk why this became a luca treatise but hes important okay!!!! just a family with a lot going on that informs vale's whole deal (having much younger siblings and liking to teach perhaps as a result, his marriage feelings, his REPRESSION issues, how he shows love, how he self-protects, and a lot more. idk this is hardly comprehensive but hopefully it gives a little food for thought !

Hi! Are you looking for some Apothy fun in these trying times of no new Apothesosis episodes? Wanna get together with other toxic yuri fans to make something swag? This post is to let you know that sign-ups are now open for the Eldritchstrings Event - an event centered on Exandroth and Rumi!!

This event is solely being run by @burning-sol (me) and @exandr0th-0f-viscera (my headmate). It probably won't be that large-scale, and we'll be kind of loose with management as we get an idea of what the members involved want from the event in terms of development and a final product. Our biggest rules are to HAVE FUN and TRY YOUR BEST!! If you don't feel like you're having fun, then this event is officially so joever.

Who can join?

If I've blocked you that's probably a bad sign... Obviously. But other than that, no limitations we can think of! Just know that Xander and I are pro-endo and pro-mspec lesbians; so if that gives you the impression you wouldn't gel well with the group, it's best to steer clear. All we ask of our participants is that they'll...!

Communicate clearly, and consciously try to take others in good faith.

At the least tolerate their cohorts if they can't outright get along with them.

AND, most importantly, they'll reach out to us if there are any issues!! It is no bother and it's actively better for the collective if you're open about anything that may have come up :3

What's the estimated time frame?

Sign-Ups close November 16th! ..however, the time frame for development and publishing will be up to participants to decide - with that process of consultation concluding before 2025.

At the LATEST the deadline for the works themselves will be July 31st, which will leave time for the editors to finesse the final product and publish it August 27th... (the anniversary of the first Eldritchstrings post!) So if you think you could make something by July 31st, even if you're initially busy, join the sign-ups!

If you miss it you will NOT be let into the event late, unfortunately. But no worries, because if the event goes well then there's a high probability another will be held in the future! :D

What contributions are we looking for?

Firstly, anyone who can help with visual design, editing, accessibility and publishing otherwise would be appreciated! There's also room for people who have general experience overseeing events and/or those who would like to help with promotion.

There will also (potentially) be groups, so if all you wanna do is hang around in case a pinch-hitter is needed, you can do that!

In terms of those submitting work to the event, ANY form of art goes! You may want to submit something like...

Fan-fiction, poetry, essays..

Illustrations, comics…

Banners, blinkies, icons…

Moodboards, stimboards, webweaves..

Textiles, cosplay, photography…

Our ONLY limitations are that we will NOT be allowing any erotica, and no portrayal of genitalia in terms of artistic nudity! If you are otherwise unsure your work would be allowed, feel free to ask about it!

Also! Works that are exclusive to the event would be super cool, but you can submit older art or continue to work on something from your already existing WIPs if you'd like! The only catch is that you wouldn't be able to resubmit those to any future events... So if you're okay with that, go on ahead!

What is it?

A week-long Valentine’s Webgott fan event where you can create beautiful and sick things for every tiny interaction between the two in the land of lovers, depression facial hair, and night patrols: WWII Haguenau. ‘Haguenau is for Lovers 2025’ starts and ends on a Webgott Wednesday and will run from Feb. 12 - Feb 18, 2025. What is a prompt?

A thought starter, brain lube if you will. Prompts are there to 1) spark any ideas for your works, whether they’re edits, gif sets, text posts, or fics; 2) keep you on theme. Do I have to use every prompt for each day?

FAQ

What is the Escape Room Event? How does it work?

-> All teams are given a clue to start out. These clues will lead the team to a prompt. If you get stuck don't worry! Teams will be allowed to vote on hints. There are 5 rooms to solve, and for each room "escaped", your team is given the aforementioned prompt to create for. These can be created a few different ways: every person in the team takes a prompt to fulfill (or, each person creates one or two full pieces, depending on team size, throughout the course of the event); all team members work together to fulfill every prompt (or, each person contributes to each prompt! A webweave made with multiple people looking for content, while others are writing drabbles or doodling something to include, multiple artists working on the same art piece, one fic broken up into multiple parts for each writer, the ideas are endless); or any other combination your team would like to try, as long as everyone is participating! There is no penalty to not finishing all the rooms, this is all for fun!

How do I participate?

This is a basic tutorial on webweaving. The first and most important thing is that there are MANY WAYS to webweave.

Webweaving (or web-weaving) is a process of creating a multimedia collage (usually a collection of text and images) based around a specific theme.

You can make them about practically any subject! Fandom (characters, settings, vibes, fanart or fanfiction) are some of the most common types.

Some people use Tumblr's photo feature (done by dragging photos next to each other), and others combine the text and images on one solid page.*

Common Parts of a Webweave:

Overlapping Images and Text Page-based webweaves (as opposed to collages) usually have overlapping images and texts. Add many layers.

Connected and Unconnected Parts They also have connected and unconnected parts. They "weave" together by making your eyes go across the page multiple times in multiple directions. This motion is usually created by making connected parts the same font/color to connect them across the page. Connected parts might include quotes split up into multiple sections, still images of a gif, and so on. Unconnected parts are images and texts that are not directly connected to anything else on the page.

Text (Quotes, Poems, Song Lyrics)

These are the main parts of a webweave. Some webweaves have more text than images, and some have more images than text.

It's up to personal preference, but it's more common to see image-heavy ones. I personally like to us a 5:1 ratio. For the space I give to text, I like to give at least 5 times that amount for images. On this template, I would only have text in the green and white boxes. Everything else would be images.

been thinking a lot about the way we treat stars (and stand by and let others treat them) and everything I’ve been blabbing on about since that shawn mendes concert in 2019 where a few seemingly unrelated things from my youth (fandom/celebrities and my irl high school experience) fell together and I realised, this is really important and personal to me and something I care about.

I remember hearing about scooter braun and a bunch of legal stuff I didn’t understand, and buying lover on CD with my money from my first big girl job and knowing it was, for once, going to Taylor. I remember buying copies of the re-records for friends, confused as to why they all seemed to be fans all of a sudden but so glad for the timing of it. I remember learning about conservatorships and the ableist injustice they are from the dedicated fans spearheading the ‘free britney’ movement, simultaneously being shocked her success wasn’t enough to prevent it, while grieving and hoping and angering for the hundreds who don’t have a dedicated platform of fans to raise an alert—and might not be known or cared about by anyone but their abusers.

I remember finding out in neurodivergent around this time, masking my distress both before and after finding out a short term mental health struggle wasn’t gonna scratch the surface of it because it happened to me too, I might’ve seemed capable at the time but decades of hiding difference and distress aren’t so easily undone and there’s so many ways a brain that’s grown up like that can get sick. and yet I used to write songs, too, and in a world where we valued string orchestras mimicking pop music instead of, say, STEM, and I started the viola earlier—could that have been me? I remember finding artists I related to. Still feeling the ick from the days when I ignored my classmates’ fan behaviour, thinking I wouldn’t be allo or straight enough to enjoy being marketed like that, are they?

I remember slowly figuring out my own way to be a fan, be there for the music and grateful for its writers and how much I relate to them. I remember applying songs to stories of other ND kids who weren’t as privileged as I was, relating to them on a secondhand level, thinking ‘oh shit what if they’ve been neurodivergent this whole time’ going from feeling like failures in an ableist education system to puppets like I was when I let them pressure me to channel my creativity into science, but so much worse. I was only ever objectified for my brain—I can’t imagine if it was everything. I’m no stranger to overwork and burnout and feeling like I’ll never be enough while having that insatiable need to create in revenge, and just doing twice as much work with the two put together.

we’ve moved on from those days, surely, days where speculation from those who Get It and just long to be represented while having no one else go through it were gossip we paid no heed to, out of respect. we’ve moved on but now it’s when the stories come out. we’ve been through tragedy. we thought our generation would be different, but looking back, I felt the dread in my body for a long time. I came to understand what trauma does to your personality and your literal brain structure and I was scared and I was rambling on here because it sucks and did you know most activism is ableist and can you find me a child star untouched by this if no then maybe let’s stop demonising them. let’s stop judging them for their unwise decisions and call out the people who make this keep happening and maybe stop going along with it as a society. for the sake of climate or human rights and no one was having this conversation with me.

now I go to webweave with lyrics and I stumble over, again and again, the protest and the anger behind something like boy and I’ve been hoping for it, turns out it’s there if you just let it sink in a bit. I want to make cute melancholic posts but I just come back feeling angry. I come back motivated to have these conversations I’ve been brainstorming how to do something useful with for years. and I have to be smart about it because you think too hard, you say shit right out of your intuition that really shouldn’t grace the internet just for basic privacy, I know I have.

but is it really any more respectful to just gloss over the heavier themes that are there and you go back and you find them everywhere you look like it’s on purpose and yet. yet we talk about fashion and whatever else and there’s nothing wrong with being interested in that but you know how to make the status quo stay the exact same? by not saying anything. if an album can be read as ‘look what the industry made me, I’m healing in spite of it but it takes hard work and a lot of sacrifice on behalf of those who love me’ what are we doing if we talk about anything but that? what are we doing if we criticise a woman for saying it much more outright, only a week prior, and the minute something isn’t so in our face we can’t possibly ignore it, we go back to just that?

I can’t webweave because it makes me want to organise. we’ve been all over the place, as a fandom, getting on each other’s asses for shit we have zero say in. what happened to real fans save bands? criticise. compete to be that girl. we won’t, because they’re doing everything not to, but keep it up and we lost the men in the fucking canyon and none of the rest of it matters. you can complain all you like and so can I but what actually matters is that we listen. a stupid viral tiktok trend or publicity by pure chance but now that it’s been said can we really just keep ignoring what we know? we see things in black and white. we live out not in the same way, a fandom with love misplaced, is it really so hard to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to love someone the right way? we care. it’s time we bring that together and talk strategic action

All the posts about my pet headcanon are tagged "#schizophrenic sam winchester." Creative, I know. The occasional solely schizophrenia related posts are tagged "#schizospec education." Queue tag is #hallqueuecinations and oh boy do I have way too much stuff queued. I do tag ships so you can filter them out if you want to, but like... I am a johndean and wincest person. If you really don't want to see that, you should just leave.

I am watching SPN for the first time and am currently on episode S5 E4. Maybe. I do forget to update this number a lot. Don't worry about spoiling me. Trust me, I've already been all over SPN tumblr. And yes, I am already headcanoning Sam as schizophrenic despite having not yet gotten to the part where he actually hallucinates. Pretty early on, I'd seen enough from the fandom to know that Sam was going to give me ~feelings~ as a schizophrenic, but Home was what sold me on it. The way he responds to the vision is exactly like my experience of delusions. It's like having blinders on. You can't think about anything else and you need to figure it all out and fix it right this minute. It's urgent and obsessive in the same way Sam was. His body language, too, was just perfect, down to just what he did with his hands. I look at Sam, especially Sam getting visions, and I see myself. So. Sam Winchester is schizophrenic. Not in some "Sam hallucinated the entire show" way (God I hate those theories) or that none of the supernatural stuff is real. Everything we see is real, but Sam's brain also pulls some shit of its own.

A very important note, given the name of my blog: schizo is a slur. I reclaim it a lot. I was diagnosed by people who want to change the definition of schizophrenia, and so for a long time, I was explicitly told not to call myself schizophrenic. That's bullshit. My symptoms aren't quite traditional, and I am at the more mild end, but as per the current DSM? I'm schizophrenic. But because for a long time I got told "you're schizo-spec, but not schizophrenic," the word I associate myself with more than anything is schizo. I try to actually write out schizophrenic when I'm on this account, but in real life, I usually don't. But if you are not anywhere on the schizophrenia spectrum, you should not say it (unless you're tagging me). I don't want my handle to give anyone the idea that you can go around calling Sam a schizo. I can. You can't.

My purpose isn't directly to educate about schizophrenia, but I know that the general cultural perception of it misses a lot, so just by shouting about how I headcanon Sam as schizophrenic, I will accidentally teach you all things. In light of that, there will be the occasional reblog of not at all SPN related awareness posts, and my asks are always open. You all have my permission to ask rude and personal questions about it that you should not ask strangers. Schizophrenia is basically a special interest of mine at this point. I am very open about stuff, not so much because of desire to educate or what have you but just because part of my schizophrenia is having very little filter. I will say that if you ask me about the delusions I've had, you're going to get an incomplete answer because going into them too much can be triggering. Everything else is on the table, though.

🎃 pumpkin: do you have any favorite brainstorming techniques? how do you like to gather ideas for your wip?

For my two "big WIPs" Violets in Shadow (cumrora haunting) and Beauty Lies Within (Dewther medkink forcedmasc) I've been following random rabbit hole topics that seems promising and keeping track of it all in a notes app. I'm terrible at long form stories so this is a fun exercise! I want to webweave and write prose that feels genuine and not like I'm trying to force the story to be some kind of way. Current rabbit holes: Lesbianism in convents, male beauty in literature. God I hope the payoff is as good as I want it to be. Research leads to more rabbit holes which is an endless cycle. Exciting!

What's editing.

A standard WIP pretty much doesn't change. It's a sex scene. Pretty basic stuff. Long shot stories with multiple chapters? Ugh. I don't write it often enough to even begin to guess how the process changes. I have an idea, I follow the trails and pray to whoever is listening I can power through it. I won't post any longer stories until they are 100% done because I know I'm going to want to poke and wriggle my fingers around in the guts of it.

I love my Terra (First Earth and Nihil's Earth) being friends with Primo. She was around for Nihil's fuck up but never took an interest in his children until they were older. She found Nihil annoying and removed herself from the showier side of the Ministry for a very long time. Primo found her again when he was around thirty years old, wanting the help of an earth ghoul to restore his mother's gardens to how they were before she died.

My Terra isn't much for plants. She's decidedly more stone and rock and petrified wood. But she saw something in that young man that made her want to follow him. Nothing to do with his Lucifer eye. His father had that and she walked away as easy as you please. They found shared ideals and a hatred for how Christianity (by way of colonization) destroyed the natural world, putting humans as masters over all. "

well first of all- how do you get people interested? i was thinking of making an interest check form but have never made one before and was wondering what questions to put on it

as for getting people interested: my form of interest check was a poll i did on my main (since i don't mind having people know what events/accounts i run.) it only had four options, all of them pretty general [link here!]

i had two yes's, participant and non-participant, to get an idea of how many people would actually make something, so that's a good thing to put on the form! obviously if the event your running is for a lesser known ship/duo/character, there's gonna be more no's and maybe's then definite yes's, but don't let that discourage you. I even had to tell myself "don't get caught up on the numbers, focus on the fun. focus on if I WANT to do this, not how much attention it will get." before making this event!

Another good question would maybe be the timing of the event? Especially now that we're in the latter months of the year. (Summer break is ending for any American still in school, the holiday season is getting closer, etc etc.) A lot of things are either gonna be giving people more time and other things giving them less time. This was probably a question i should've asked myself, in all honesty. Do try to make it happen at a time that's both good for you AND others. Don't be afraid to delay or push the event back a week, either. Life often gets pretty unpredictable

You could also ask for inputs on theme! Especially if your like me and suck at this stuff. Or you could be like fwhimmyweek #1, and just have daily themes based off the character(s) themselves.

I would also asks what type of art is most likely to be created, assuming you allow multiple types. Bigger events (think treebark week) are more likely to get more varied stuff (writing, stimboards, webweavings, etc) while smaller events like this one may only get art and a few fanfictions here and there

I would also leave an open response question, for any ideas or suggestions people have!

Actually getting people interested is the hard part. All i can say is promote the hell out of it, on here, in any discord server you can, with friends if you can too; but sometimes that only gets you so far. I saw an increase in followers and mentions of this event when it actually got going. (And it was, a little amusing to be honest, seeing mcytblrsource and other accounts in my reblogs post-event.) Sometimes just running it once will be what gets more attention.

(if you don't know what mcytblrsource is: they keep track of fandom events. i'm not sure what tags they check, but it's probably somewhere on their blog. Or they might allow asks. Getting them to see it, sooner or later, and tagging with #mcyt event could also work in your favor)

also! promotional images leading up to it! post your full event pfp and header, if they're both original pieces. my promo posts for the week before the event helped a little, and the header art is like the most popular post on this blog. so they both definitely did something.

What is a prompt?

A thought starter, brain lube if you will. Prompts are there to 1) spark any ideas for your works, whether they’re edits, gif sets, text posts, or fics; 2) keep you on theme. Why Haguenau?

Because it’s for LOVERS. Caress Band of Brothers episode 8 “The Last Patrol” in your hands and say a prayer to RPF. Anything can happen at the tailend of war, but especially falling in love. Get as snug as a bug, and let your Webgott imagination roam wild and free in war-torn Haguenau. But on a more serious note, Easy Company was stationed there during Valentine’s Day 1945. Historical accuracy, our collective beloved.
