TGF 01x02 First Week

Progress check (Oct 1, 2024)

Here is the first progress check!! This is all the development that was made since Sep 24, 2024. Currently, I'm thinking of having "Progress Check" posts for a weekly progress summary and a "Daily Genshin" for everything I do daily/semi-daily. Though I usually just make sure to spend my resin daily, so it might be overkill to have short posts just to say "I spent all my resin in X domain, collected my daily commission and logged off".

I'll have two mains section of account progress to cover: character building and game content. "Game content" is everything else in Genshin thats not related to character building, but I might split that into more sections as I progress.

Without further ado, here is my first week of progress!!

Character Building:

I mentioned it before in the previous post, but the characters I am currently building are my Childe international team!! I've been wanting to build this team since I first discovered them, and now I finally got to start working on them XD.

I know this doesn't look impressive, but they've come so far in the week since I started!! My Bennett was the only one fully ascended, and his talents were 1/5/1. My Xiangling and Childe needed one more ascension, and both of their weapons were only 20/40, with all talents at 1. Not to mention Kazuha, who I just got before I took my last break (in the run before his most recent re-run).

Now they're all fully ascended with mostly fully ascended weapons and I'm currently working on their talents before I go all in on artifact farming! I'm currently a bit hesitant with Kazuha's weapon right now though because I know the favonius sword is also pretty good with him, but from what I understand, it kind of depends on how much ER I can get on Xiangling, so we'll see how good I can make Xiangling before I decide.

I've also done a bit of skimming through the childemains subreddit so I know the general gist of the artifacts I want. Emblem for Xiangling, VV for Kazuha, and a 2 pc HOD/Nymphs for Childe (for ease of getting a good artifact). For Bennet, I'm actually not too sure since it depends, but for now, I'm aiming for 4pc noblesse, though if I get a good 2pc/2pc, I sticking with it.

Game content:

I FINALLY GOT PAST MY ASCENSION RANK 4!!! My main team could not clear all the enemies within the time limit so I was stuck on AR 50 for so long, but I finally did it this week! All my saved exp jumped me up to AR 55, and so far, the difficulty change doesn't seem too bad!

I'm so glad I did it now too because this means I get better drops, which means hopefully, less farming because I DO NOT want to spend too much time farming riftwolves for Polar Star.

Speaking of riftwolves, I actually finished the last two quests in the Tsurumi Island quest chain so no more fog! The drops I got while doing the quest chain were what helped me get through Polar star's first few ascensions. I also did both Zhongli's story quest so I finally unlocked the Azhdaha weekly boss and doing it for the first time was how I got the Sword billet to make the Iron Sting I gave to Kazuha XD.

Final thoughts:

That's roughly everything I've been able to do this past week. It's really a lot of progress when its seen as a collective amount of days, and I can't wait to see how far I get next week!

Up next, I'm gonna write my first "Daily Genshin" and see how much I can write out of it to determine if I'll keep it a thing. I'm also planning a post about my main team, the story behind it, and how they've been serving me so far.

Mermay 2023 - 1st Week

Day 1 - Self Portrait

I don't think this needs much explanation, it's exacly what it says on the tin. It's me as a mermaid. An octopus mermaid since I have a big affinity for octpi.

Day 2 - Upside Down

Because of another prompt later down the line, I had a word assiciation with it that lead me to "Oooh ! Tarot cards !".

The card of the "Hanged Man" was perfect for this prompt here since it's typically depicted by a man hanging upside down.

Day 3 - Twisted // feat. Azul Ashengrotto ?

This one was hard to get an idea for. I immediately thought of "Twisted Wonderland" and maybe drawing Azul and/or the Leech twins but I had no concrete idea.

Then I remembered I had that old drawing I never finished of a very, VERY, monstrous form of overblot Azul.

So you could say I twisted him even further like that. =)

Day 4 - Star Wars // feat. the Slime Girls

I haven't seen Star Wars in forever. Like, I only was a kid when I saw the first two trilogies, and I never saw the new trilogy either.

But having characters discussing of it seemed like a fun idea !

Marina is VERY enthusiastic at the idea of watching the movies. Like, really ! WARS ! IN SPACE !!! Sounds fun, no ?

Molly is criticising the concept of the lightsabers because those look like some kind of lasers, but lasers don't work like that !

Medusa is just unsure if she'd like any of it...

Day 5 - Cinco de Mayo

I don't know much about Mexican history, and even after looking up what it is about, inspiration didn't really strike.

But you know what did ? The colourful dresses Mexican dancers wear during festivities ! So I made a mermaid inspired by these. I must say I'm proud of the result !

Day 6 - Mushroom

I though the idea of a mushroom mermaid was fun, that's really all there is to it, lol.

Day 7 - Merfairy // feat. Sea Fairy Cookie

Look, she fits the theme, you can't say she doesn't, right ? She may not have wings, but she's still a fairy. A fairy of the sea.

Besides, I'm happy with the result ! I think it might be the first time I've drawn her ? Or at least, it's the first time I made a coloured digital rendering of her !

In fact, oddly enough, I don't think I had realised how beautiful she is until I finished that drawing...

I've started an internship

And it's going great

But there's some other things/feelings/maybe me overthinking/maybe pms goofing around my hormones/or idk

And i really really want to cry

But whenever I cry, I have super puffed up eyes the next day

And since it'll be my 4th day tomorrow

I can't cry right now because puffy eyes = no.

Which makes me realise

That do I need to fucking schedule a time for crying now? Has life really come to this? To schedule a day to cry?

Just wanted to share this, okay bye, may write out another post venting about stuff or may not, will prolly go and watch Howl's moving castle or an episode of Haikyuu now, they help🫶

I wish I could just hug someone and cry rn, I really need that

TGF 01x02 First Week

Physically? I am sitting in my bedroom. Mentally? Spiritually? I AM DEAD ON THE FLOOR!!!!! THESE TWO HAVE KILLED ME!!!!

Thoughts I've had this week

1. So much chaos within they might as well hook me to a lie detector and ask me questions.

Then I might get to figure out how I feel about things and get a clear picture maybe?

....

2. If the idea of Moksha exists, the theory of how you free your own self from the circle of life... (Theory)

Then, shouldn't it apply to people who are ready to let go of this world. Because in that way, aren't they ready to leave everything behind, which in a way interprets how they don't want anything. It doesn't necessarily have to mean to abstain from living. It can simply mean that you're ready, at any point of your life, to just let go. Right? (I'm right and wrong about this, I know)

How being loved and feeling love is so different and how much it matters. You love me, yes. But, do you tell me you love me? Do you express your love to me?

In a family, in a relationship, in any type of relationship, platonic romantic,

Expressing love is something very important.

Because hey, ofcourse you love me. But do you love me? Can you hug me once in a while to just make me feel that energy? Can you pat my head, ask me if I've eaten something? Can you just sit with me once in a while and let me cry instead of telling me how everyone dies. Can you sit with me and feel my feelings?

I know I am loved. I am 100% sure of that. I know if I'm stuck somewhere, you will pull through for me.

But, does it have to be extremes.

Can it not be in the mundane everydays of our life?

(I've been at the receiving end of this, and I've realised that I might be the one doing this as well. Time to break this cycle. I will work hard and I will break it.)

Also, I'm really sad right now because the concerning thing I mentioned earlier, the vet ran some tests, and I'll get the results in 2-3 days. And I'm spiraling. And I'm crying. And I'm trying not to think anything.

I'm hoping and praying. And I'm scared.

I'm just gonna keep distracting myself because otherwise I'll just lose it.

Pray. Manifest. Do anything you do. But please hope for my doggo to be okay.
