It makes the number of living mothers in Curse of Blackmoor Manor (3 if you count step-mom Linda) astounding!

Now that I think about it, I’m actually kinda perturbed that they fall back on making a female character more interesting by having a dead mom. They NEVER do this with the male characters, give them a dead mom or dead dad just for some edge, except maybe Henry and Grigor, but Grigor’s backstory was interesting because of how sucky the foster system is.

Lets find other ways to deepen female characters, okay?

July Theme: Joy

Thank you @shamelesscreatorsnetwork for perfectly encapsulating one of the things that bring me joy about Shameless, and fandom in general, and that’s the community.

I love drawing and creating, but I’m really bad at making time for it in my life, especially without an outside incentive. One of my favourite things about fandom spaces are all the various ways in which we challenge each other and support each other.

Was deciding on the 31st July that I WILL post something for this month’s theme a bit last minute? Mmmm, maybe. Was starting this at 9pm a dumb idea? Yeah, it sure was! Was drawing leopard print at 11.30pm the dumbest idea anyone has ever had? (Mickey Milkovich Voice) ‘YEP YEP!’

But never mind all that, we got there in the end! I give you Fiona & Debbie on the dance floor.
