hi bonefall! I decided to translate my warriors ocs in clanmew ! they're a big-ish family so I thought it'd be fun to do

Starting off with the two parents:

I realized when writing this they had the same suffix which I know is intentional cuz you said it but I thought it was funny

It's surprisingly unknown that doves and rock pigeons are the same animal! Clan cats recognize these as the same species, doves are just a white rock pigeon.

You could say, to Clan cats, they see no difference...... dove is dove

Notably though a white rock pigeon would be less beautiful to Clan cats than the gorgeous, rainbow-necked standard color. The word for pigeon they're usually using is Huwoohoo, referencing a wood pigeon

(The bird that gives me echolalia almost as bad as morning doves. Btw if they did have morning doves they would call it a Hoowu)

Who's Finchcloud's son?

You haven’t met him yet, but he’s a lad named Specklepaw! He and Finchcloud are practically twins, minus Specklepaw being quite the rebel and very mischievous. Finchcloud was a bit overprotective of him as a kit, and it’s led to them being distant now. (Amongst other, mom-related reasons)

Trouble has begun to stir in the territories. In Mistclan, Finchcloud traveled to the Tribe of Golden Leaves in order to negotiate peace with Night Sky. Although this initially worked out, as the deputy returned with good news that Night Sky would rethink her decision of forcing Mistclan to leave, this hope was quickly shattered. Goosepaw’s body was found by Buntingchirp close to the tribe border, having been slain by a fox. Not long later, the medicine cat apprentice Shrewpaw died to a sudden illness. Hollystar pinned the blame on the Tribe of Golden Leaves, as he learned that they had foxes allied with them. Many of the clan cats agreed, though Finchcloud and other Tribe sympathizers defended the pacifist cats. For the Tribe of Golden Leaves, things weren’t looking that much brighter. Mushroom that Grows Under Roots gave birth to four kittens: Leaf that Swims Down River, Bumblebee, Flower, and Petal that Floats in Breeze. However, a vision plagued the Healer, Rain that Falls at Dawn, and her to-be, Moss that Climbs Tree, while at the half-moon gathering with the Tribe of Stormy Skies. Not long later, Night Sky’s mate, Honey Heart, died giving birth to three kittens: Shadow of Thundering Storm, Flower where Honey Bee Lands, and Shooting Star. Night Sky decided to keep the Tribe from going to the Gathering, and sent her to-be Heart of the Elk’s Antlers to deliver the news by himself. An outrage ensued at the Gathering upon hearing why the Tribe of Golden Leaves was unable to attend the gathering, with Hollystar ridiculing the Tribe for being unable to handle one death while their clan experienced the deaths of two young apprentices. He called for war with the Tribe and left. However, without Mistclan to back him up, arguments bloomed within the camp upon Hollystar’s return and his announcement of the war. Half of the clan wanted to go to war with the Tribe of Golden Leaves, while others wanted to keep the peace, for fear of losing more cats in a pointless war with a relatively peaceful group. It wasn’t until Finchcloud stepped up and attacked Hollystar did the tides turn. The deputy exiled Hollystar for trying to lead the clan into a war and endangering everyone’s livelihoods. Hollystar, now demoted to Hollystrike, left Mistclan territory with seven cats: the Medicine Cat Floodmask, the warriors Stagflight, Badgerthroat, and Tornface, the apprentices Oakpaw and Snookpaw, and the elder Marshfur. With the cruel leadership of Hollystrike gone, Finchcloud made a vow to change the cold ways of Mistclan. He casted a vote, and the clan of Mist became the clan of clouds: Cloudclan. With the hope of a new, reformed clan, the members of the clan are hoping to put aside their differences with the Tribe of Golden Leaves and become allies. However, the threat of Hollystrike still looms over Cloudclan and the Tribe of Golden Leaves. This new era won’t just affect the Tribe and Cloudclan; it will extend upon his group of exiled and the outsiders who have also been cast out. They will rise above the pine and autumn trees like a blazing sun and bring upon a new dawn: The Pack of the Rising Dawn. Will the Tribe of Golden Leaves and Cloudclan be prepared for this new force, or will they be destroyed by the blaze of the dawn?

As Falling Leaves moves into the New Year, we would like to thank everyone who has joined and stuck with us! You guys really are the greatest and we love all of your characters! They bring this roleplay to life and we couldn’t of gotten this far without you guys!! Act 1 is quickly coming to a close with the creation of the Pack of the Rising Dawn, and we are as excited as you all are to see what Act 2 will bring to the table! However, with the newly formed Pack of the Rising Dawn, we are in desperate need for Cloudclan Warriors and Pack of the Rising Dawn Vanquishers! While Cloudclan Warriors can still be born and raised in the clan via a backstory, all new members of the Pack MUST be former outsiders, as the only former Cloudclan cats will be those who had been exiled! Skystar and Pansycloud’s kits, two she-kits and one male. 

Patchkit is quiet, proper, and prim as a she-kit, and immediately latches on to the clan cats when they arrive, quickly becoming the most knowledgable of the new clan of the our clans and their culture. She will either become Patchheart or Patchfur.

Splashkit is loud, adventurous and takes after her dad with his racing mind, inability to focus on one thing for more than a few moments, and never ending energy. She will either  become Splashfoot, or Splashstorm. 

Finchkit takes after his mom, being a more chill, practical and patient guy. However he does have a little more charm than his mom, and becomes the darling of much of the clan. He will likely become Finchcloud.

Random Background OC Facts bc I Can

Raintail's father left the Clans when she was a kit

In the original concepts I had of Willowthorn and Smithy, Clover was another one of his kits, making them half-sisters. Whether they still are is up to you!

Volespring had a crush on Littlepelt as a 'paw.

Antpaw's warrior name would've been Antspots or Antskip

Ravenwind's mentor had future visions, and knew what she would become

Ravenwind was named after WindClan, bc it was a WindClan warrior that ended Leopardpoppy's life

Smokestripe is considering a second litter

Raintail and Ravenfur was raised mostly by Hailface and Badgerberry, and were therefore pretty close growing up

Finchcloud regrets not being a medicine cat, and fears that his son is StarClan's retribution

Flintpoppy never had half the respect Dovefrost did in ThunderClan

Sweetshine’s mother was named Berrybird. That has absolutely no effect on anything I just rlly like that name.

In an original draft of Deep Dive, Spiderstar would’ve taken Weaselface to ShadowClan and revealed that Brackenstar was alive and inside of it- a duty given to potential deputies was to carry this knowledge, and take one of his lives. Brackenstar would’ve been mostly decay and rot and empty, and Weasel would’ve taken his last life, freeing him.

Ice Cube is 100% inspired by plucky anime protags. He’s got spikey fur and an upbeat attitude, and if he could he’d say dattebayo

Ngl I’ve had this one cat ya’ll haven’t met yet who’s either gonna end up as Lioncreek or Stripeface’s adopted kid, I legitimately haven’t decided which, if not both, and I find it hilarious that they might end up bonding over sudden fathership

Summary: Sequel to Resilience. With two WindClan cats dead and one RiverClan apprentice brutally injured from a horrible attack, the two Clans are too busy fighting each other to do much of anything against the actual cause. If peace is going to reign once again, it’s going to be up to two unlikely allies to save the day.

Chapter Title: Vigil Woes

Excerpt:

A nose prodding Petalfoot's scruff slowly woke her up, lifting her head off her nest. Blinking the sleep from her eyes, it took her a good minute for her groggy mind to register Finchpaw's scent, even after the apprentice had curled up beside her. "Bro?"

"Hey," he whispered. He sounded like he hadn't slept a wink. "Can I ask you something?"

Petalfoot's jaws split open in a yawn. "It's a bit early, isn't it, Finchpaw?" Something else occurred to her. "And your assessment is today! You really should be getting some sleep."

Finchpaw dipped his chin in a glum nod. "When I sleep, I don't dream much anymore," he meowed. "And I never really see things like I used to. Sometimes, if I think really hard, I can get a sense of deja-vu. But that's it."

The medicine cat nodded. "We all figured that would happen. Kits are a lot closer to StarClan than full-blown cats. And you just happened to be closer than others."

His eyes darted to hers. They were the same shade of green. "I'd still have those powers if I was a medicine cat, wouldn't I?"

"Back on this again?" Petalfoot rolled her eyes, blowing air out the side of her mouth. "Finchpaw, I'm not going to train a cat who doesn't want to heal."

"But I have powers!"

"You do. You always will. But you wanted to be a warrior." She tilted her head to the side. "Has that changed?"

Finchpaw slowly shook his head.

"Then that's that." She curled her muzzle into Finchpaw's side, closing her eyes. "Go to sleep, little brother. It's your big day."

This is probably the longest chapter in the entire story lol.

I had a couple ideas for Owlstrike's warrior name, actually. It was originally gonna be Owlstorm, but that felt a bit like cheating Shadestorm. I contemplated Owlfang or Owlclaw, but neither name fit as well. I always knew it was gonna be Finchcloud though, and I wanted to make him a positive spin on 'cat with odd abilities' trope.

How your kittens are? How is they personality and appearance?

I have two major kitties; Brightfur and Petalfoot. They’re both medicine cats, bc I love nervous doctors I guess lol.

Petalfoot is a WindClan cat from the lake territories. She’s got two blood brothers (Stripeface and Beeheart) and two half-brothers (Finchcloud and Owlstrike). Her parents are basically divorced.

Petalfoot got stolen from WindClan as a kit when she and another kit snuck out, and spent a whole winter in RiverClan. It was pretty messy- food shortages, Greencough outbreaks, and badgers- and she’s pretty scarred from it.

The whole situation left her quiet and shy by nature. She keeps mostly to herself, though she’s close friends with Lioncreek, Sedgefeather, and Rowanfish of RiverClan. (Her story is here!)

Brightfur is a forest territory ShadowClan cat. She’s got a bunch of siblings- Brackenclaw, Flametuft, Berryshade. One of her brothers, Darkkit, died from an unnamed illness when she was just a kitten; and her father, Birchpaw, was killed in a battle before she was even born.

All this grief drew the attention of Ravenwind, the medicine cat, who quickly took Brightfur in to be a medicine cat. Brightfur had seen the ghosts of StarClan as a kitten, though as she grew older it became harder and harder for her, and she found that she enjoyed warrior-work more than she did herbs. That would be fine and dandy, if Ravenwind wasn’t an extremely calculated serial killer. Even if she did let her go, Brightfur couldn’t imagine forcing some other cat to work with her, and has subjected herself to a life of displeasure and unhappiness.

Brightfur is standoffish and bitter from years of mistreatment. She spends a good chunk of her time outside of the camp, usually hanging out with what few friends she has. She has a soft spot for her young niece and nephew, Tigerpaw and Lionpaw. (Her story is here!)

Excerpt:

Icekit slept hard and heavy that night, spurred on by her physical exhaustion at having gone so far from the camp. In a way, she felt bad- images of Swanpaw's throat breaking open like beetle wings were heavy on her mind. It didn't seem right to have a good night's sleep after failing a mission and watching a Clanmate be hurt.

It was, rather, Wolfbreeze and Beeheart who had a rough time of it. Beeheart hadn't even been made aware of Icekit's departure beforehand, and it was all Owlstrike and Finchcloud could do to keep their half-brother from flinging himself at the group, claws unsheathed. Wolfbreeze had gathered her up with a steel to her spine and a cold gleam in her eyes.

"You promised," she meowed to Petalfoot. It was all she said.

"And I delivered," she replied, head bowed.

Icekit hadn't seen her Aunt since.

Chapter Title: Local Cats Pick Fight With Dog, What Happens Next Will Warm Your Heart

Excerpt:

"I wonder if that's what mom saw, in her cave. Another kind of Moonstone. And that's why she stayed so long."

"Did you ever ask?"

"Yeah. She said she didn't know why."

Icekit rolled her eyes. "Adults are weird." The gray and white kitten found herself relaxing a bit on the molly's back as they began to climb a hill towards the Thunderpath, which was separated by a strange tunnel in the middle. It reeked of monster and mildew, so much so that it made both gag even from a respectful distance. "You ever see a horse?"

"Nope! Saw lots of bugs." Pikepaw did a little prance at the mention of insects. "I think they're neat. I mean, they have so many legs! And little thorns on their faces!"

She chuckled. "My sister's sign for bugs is her whiskers all bushed out. She thinks it makes her look like she's got pinchers."

I'm baaaaaaaccccckkkkkk! The doggo is okay, I promise- it got taken to a vet and then got adopted by some local surfers. It's also a husky, if that wasn't clear!

I know this took literally forever to come back, so here's an extra long chapter to make up for it! Only one more chapter for this story- but I'm not done with these kitties yet! Next story will either be Finchcloud-centric OR a whole new kitty! I'm leaning much more heavily toward the new character. =)
