Finch Sikora — Character Questions
How old are they? — Eighteen (probably).
What gender are they? — Male.
What is their romantic/sexual orientation? — Pansexual, as far as he knows, but has never had enough of a relationship to find out.
How tall are they? — 5′6/168cm
What do they look like? — Fair skin, petite yet toned build, strong legs and hands, narrow shoulders. "Sharp" but boyish features, pointed chin, crimson red eyes, small nose, smirk-like grin, pointed canine teeth. Raven-black hair, chin-length, always a little overgrown/unkept and falling in his face.
What are their defining features? — Toothy, mischievous grin, oversized clothes (often red in color), disheveled hair, bouncy, fidgety movements, never sitting still for long.
Does their name have a meaning? — Finch is a type of songbird. Sikora refers to birds in the Paridae family and is a Slavic nickname for a small, agile person.
What family do they have? — He doesn't know what happened to his parents. They abandoned him at an orphanage when he was too young to remember much, and Finch was never able to find any information about them after that. He has no idea if he has any other family members, even siblings.
Do they have a good relationship with their family? — There's no relationship at all. Finch doesn't remember who his parents were or what they were like. All he knows is that he was unwanted for some reason or another and thrown away because of it. He doesn't think he'd like the kind of people who could do that to a kid, but without knowing them, he can't say for sure if he would have gotten along with them or not. Either way, at the very least, they clearly didn't love him enough to keep him around.
If not, why not? — The knowledge that he was abandoned has stuck with Finch for his whole life so far. Without knowing why it happened, he's left wondering what was so bad about him that his own parents would leave him behind. There may have been a rational reason, but it's hard for him to feel any fondness for people who didn't want him.
Where do they live? — Finch lives in a small apartment by himself. He's changed homes a lot since leaving the orphanage, so he doesn't expect to stay in this one for very long either. Everywhere he stays is temporary, or at least that's how it's been so far.
Is it a safe place? — The apartment isn't in the best area, but Finch trusts himself to be smart and stay out of any trouble he doesn't want to deal with. He knows how to attract attention when he needs to and avoid it when he doesn't, so he's not scared. It's not like he has any valuables that would be worth robbing him for, anyway.
Are they poor, middle-class, or wealthy? — Definitely low on the class scale. Finch gets by, but he's been left wanting for meals and new clothes more times than he can count by now.
Do they look up to anyone? — Finch doesn't have anyone to look IP to. There aren't a lot of people in his life, and none of them have ever lasted long enough for him to develop admiration for them. Some people are interesting and some aren't. That's all there is to it.
Who is their best friend? — Again, Finch hasn't had a lot of people be even semi-permanent features in his life, so he's never had anyone he could call a "best friend" either. He's always wanted one, though.
Do they have any enemies? — He has a tendency to fixate on "wanted" people; the ones who are so desired in their lives that no one can leave them alone. It's not quite an "enemy" sort of relationship (in the sense that there's no particular resentment or personalized hatred), but Finch will go out of his way to be a terrible nuisance to those who meet his criteria for pestering.
Who is the person they hate most in the world? — How should he know? He doesn't know every person in the world, so how would he have any idea which one he hates the most? Finch doesn't make a pattern of hating people. He can't find a point in that, especially because of how stupid he's seen hatred make others.
Do they have any love/hate relationships? — Bless! Finch likes Bless. As in, he's as much of a nuisance to the man as possible at every turn, and no one can quite figure out if it's because he adores Bless or despises him. He trails after Bless at every opportunity, always paying rapt attention to what he's doing, being as much of a distraction as possible, and/or finding annoying things to point out just to see Bless get irritated when he can't make Finch leave.
Have they ever fallen in love? — Nope, and he has no idea what it would be like— or if he even wants to. Love doesn't seem like something the kind of person he is gets to experience.
Who is the person they love the most in the world? — He doesn't know that either. If he doesn't know who he hates, how can he know who he loves? It seems like kind of a worthless question to pick just one person that he loves the absolute most, anyway.
Does that person love them back? — In Finch's perspective, no one has ever really loved him. His parents threw him away, no one ever adopted him when he was still at the orphanage, and years later, he's yet to have found even a close friend to stick with. People don't seem to get attached to him the way they do to others, and he's concluded by now that he's just not someone who gets to be loved.
Have they ever hurt or lost anyone? — He's never had much of anyone to lose. Finch would say that he "lost" his parents, kind of, but isn't it hard to lose someone you can't even remember? Does that really count as "losing" them, anyway? Aside from them, he's always been too detached from others to have anyone to hurt or lose.
Are they a good shoulder to cry on? — Not really. While he's friendly enough, generally, Finch isn't exactly a sympathetic person, and he's terrible at being comforting. He's more likely to annoy you into forgetting why you were upset than do anything to actually help.
Are they well-liked? — No. Most people Finch interacts with find him absolutely obnoxious, but that's kind of his own fault. He makes such a nuisance of himself that it's no wonder no one likes him much.
How do they handle being complimented? — Superficially, he handles it just fine. If the compliment feels too genuine, however, a good amount of internal panic will follow.
Are they an affectionate person? — Very. Finch is affectionate in the way that people most often wish he'd stop. His affection is typically displayed through being as much of an annoyance as possible, or just plain not leaving someone alone. He's a pest, and he really doesn't know any other way to show when he likes a person.
Are they very driven? — Yes and no. Finch isn't driven in the traditional sense, with no big goals to reach toward or hopes for his life to chase after, but he's perfectly capable of setting his mind to smaller milestones when he wants to get something done.
Are they very political? — He has no interest in things like politics; aren't those things way too far above him to matter?
What kind of state is the world that they live in? — Finch lives in a very transient, shallow world. Nothing he does lasts for long, and he's yet to find any way to settle down or create anything permanent for himself. He's always moving, always changing, and never able to keep anything for himself for more than a few fleeting moments.
Does the character worry about their place in society? — No. He's accepted that he's towards the bottom end of society. But things like that have never mattered much to him, to begin with.
If they could change one thing, what would it be? — Sometimes, Finch wonders what his life would have been like if his parents had never given him up. Would he be happier then? Would he have a home and people who care about him? Or would nothing have changed in any way that matters? He can't imagine being different than he is now, so in the end, even picturing it feels futile.
Do they like themselves? — More or less. Finch doesn't have any strong feelings about himself as a person. The way he sees it, he accepts reality, both the good and the bad, and just lives with himself the way he is. There's no other "him" to live with, after all!
Are they a good person? — Finch doesn't see himself as a particularly good person, but not a bad one, either. He does what he needs to so he can survive, and he doesn't often concern himself with things like morality and what's "right". There's not any space for that; he'd only put himself in danger if he got hung up on it.
Are they very forgiving? — Yes and no. Finch doesn't really hold grudges, but that's more because he doesn't bother to than because he's not capable of it. He's not forgiving, he just doesn't care.
Do they believe in destiny? — Probably. Thinking about things like that is too complex for his liking, but it does seem like there's some invisible force at play, always keeping him transient and alone.
Are they trustworthy? — He'll do whatever he wants whenever he feels like it, so no, he's really not. While he won't go out of his way to betray anyone, Finch can't be trusted not to get carried away with his impulses and do something unpleasant just because it's funny.
Are they a good liar? — Unless he can't take the lie seriously, yes. Very. He's excellent at excluding and twisting the truth as needed.
How do they react to criticism? — Typically, he'll ignore any criticism he gets. There's no point in taking other people's opinions that seriously, especially when he's already satisfied with the way he does things. Someone trying to tell him how to be "better" just gives him a good strategy for getting on their nerves and entertaining himself.
What is their moral alignment? — Highly neutral. Finch isn't concerned with things like morality. He does whatever he wants whenever he wants to with no thought for whether it's good or bad or right or wrong. He's never cared enough about doing the "right thing" to even consider it; all he's focused on is staying alive and doing what feels best in the moment. He's not stable enough for anything else.
Can they fight? — Because of spending his teenage years in some highly shady areas, Finch knows the basics of self-defense out of pure necessity. He wouldn't consider himself an expert, especially in direct combat, but he's quick, agile, good at dodging hits, and capable of throwing a few of his own if and when he needs to.
Would they ever purposefully hurt someone? — He would, and he has. When he was escaping the orphanage (after finding out something he shouldn't have), he killed two of the staff members in the process of getting away. Knowing he ended a life has always haunted Finch a bit, but he knows he had to do it. He's capable of violence if he needs to be, though he'd rather avoid it if possible.
Have they ever been seriously injured? — A few times. The orphanage was fond of giving out beatings, so Finch has experienced a decent amount of pain in his life. None of it was ever life-threatening, but he definitely knows what being injured feels like.
Do they know first-aid? — Well enough to get by. Again, living in bad situations means that he has to know how to take care of himself.
Do they have any other survival skills? — In the time he's been on his own, Finch has picked up the ins and outs of how to survive in very, very bad places. He's street-smart to the max, more than capable of navigating dangerous people and situations as he needs to, and especially good at recognizing when someone's lying to him or planning something sketchy. He's made it as long as he has for a reason, and that reason is that he's much smarter than he acts.
Are they a fast learner? — Fairly. Finch is good at keeping up with fast-paced situations, but he's far better at picking up on life skills than anything relating to book smarts or non-tangible tasks.
How intelligent are they? — Finch comes across as oblivious and fairly ditzy, however, the reality is that he's far from either of those things. Book smarts are a major weak point for him, but he can figure out how to keep himself alive in almost any situation. He reads people and situations well and thinks fast even in a crisis.
What is their school system like? — The orphanage attempts some form of rudimentary education, but Finch never really paid attention to it. He's had virtually no schooling and by now, he'd consider it a waste of effort to even try to make up for lost time.
What is their job? — He mostly does odd jobs of various kinds, often involving at least semi-criminal activity. He's never been involved in anything particularly violent or extreme, but he's used to running errands for shady people and dealing with highly suspicious situations. It doesn't matter to him what people are doing, no matter how illegal, so long as he gets paid and stays out of trouble.
Do they enjoy their job? — Finch has learned how to keep himself safe in that sort of dangerous environment by now, so he'd say he's just plain used to it. He gets assigned to entertaining things pretty often, so he'd say he enjoys the work well enough; he just wishes there were fewer people who'd try to skip out on paying him.

Reactions for characters of your choice to this wonderful song about a loving wife coping with the death of her husband?
Just gonna go with Haematite, because yeahhh, why not? XD
. . .
Bless — Rolls his eyes and looks utterly unimpressed. Such childish, crude humor is beneath him, and he doesn't find it funny.
Finch — Happily (and poorly) singing along with every word, even inserting some of his own. Replays the song to annoy everyone.
Aurora — Giggling so hard she snorts. It's the perfect kind of fucked-up humor for a slightly violent thirteen-year-old!
Oberon — Aurora likes it, so he's neutral. Will absolutely humor his sister and pretend like it's funny, though his reactions are a bit dull.
Kalon — The more explicit parts of the video get a few chuckles out of him, but it's not the funniest thing he's seen.
Tierney — More confused than anything. It sounds so violent?? The humor is lost on him in favor of just plain not getting the joke.
Sumire — Finds it hilarious! Probably singing along with Finch at an equal volume, much to the annoyance of everyone around them.
Henry — Doesn't exactly find it funny, but likes it because Sumire and Aurora are having fun. He's easily influenced like that.
Oleander — Such juvenile entertainment would never amuse him. Meaning, he's the buzzkill who complains the whole time.
Rowena — Very confused. But just when you think she's horrified by the violence, she says something even worse than the video.
Rience — Laughing a little bit at certain parts, but paying more attention to everyone else's reactions than his own entertainment.

The character intros... *grabby hands grabby hands grabby hands* hand em over (if you want to ofc) 👁👁👁👁
Absolutely! XD This is copy-pasted from @dixbolik-lovers, but here you go!
Bless
Twenty-nine years old. Tsundere boy. Done with everyone else’s shit. He tries to act like he’s above it all, but is actually just as fucked up and weird as everyone else. Kind of a creep actually. Probably lowkey a pervert. Thinks he’s better than those around him, but his ego can come crashing down hard.
Finch
Eighteen years old. Little shit. Cryptid incarnate. A legal adult now and very happy about this. A terror to everyone around him, but acts his worst whenever he’s around Bless. The pest that everyone wants to hit with a flyswatter. No one knows where the fuck he came from and he’s not talking.
Aurora
Thirteen years old. Tiny baby girl. Small and sweet, but super aggressive and intense. Won’t hesitate to fight people twice her size now that she’s a vampire. The precious little sister to her big brother... who will fuck up anyone who lays a hand on her. She uses this to her advantage.
Oberon
(His hair is supposed to be a slightly lighter gray than Aurora’s.)
Twenty-seven years old. Aurora’s overprotective big brother. A scary and mysterious guy who no one knows much of anything about. Probably a criminal. Definitely knows how to hide a body. Sexy voice. Doesn't show his face to anyone but his little sister.
Kalon
Twenty-one years old. Awful, awful boy. Likes fucking with people for the fun of it. Gets along well with Oberon. Acts tough and is kind of a dick, but might have a softer side than he wants people to know about. Pretty chill overall. Aurora’s babysitter when Oberon isn’t around.
Tierney
Twenty-nine years old. The walking manifestation of an anxiety attack. The only sane one of all of them and perpetually horrified by the lunatics he's forced to be around. Might be something of a masochist, but he’s not telling. A pessimistic guy who sees the worst in everything.
Sumire
Eighteen years old. In her last year of high school. Seems cute and friendly, but is actually all kinds of scary. Cheerful and ditzy, but prone to violence. Just wants everyone around her to be happy. Big titty, big heart. Her eyes look dead for a very good reason. Probably traumatized.
Henry
Fifteen years old. The other absolute baby. Seems to be one of the sane ones, but not really. Probably has stabbed someone before. Cute, but has his breaking points. Super shy, stutters a lot. Please give him a hug before he cries. Has a crush on Aurora.
Oleander
Sixteen years old. Bratty little shit who thinks he’s tough. Sharp mouth to anyone he doesn't respect... which is basically everyone. Bad attitude and worse behavior. Actually kind of a coward. Very smart, but lacks common sense. Hates anyone who thinks they’re better than him.
Rowena
Twenty-four years old... maybe. Mysterious girl. Serious and solemn, but also very gentle and kind. The things she says about her past don’t quite line up. Extremely quiet and withdrawn. Takes care of others. From a very sheltered background and doesn’t know how the real world works.

2 and 34 for Finch, Sumire, Oleander and Aurora?
Finch
2. How tall are they?
5′6 or 168 cm. Short enough to have to kick people in the shins but tall enough not to be considered tiny.
34. A random fact?
No one knows a fucking thing about Finch’s past and he’s not telling. All anyone’s gotten out of him so far is his name (maybe), that he’s eighteen (hopefully), and that he doesn’t like to talk about himself (definitely). As far as parental situation and background go, Finch is an utter mystery. He likes it that way. His only motivation seems to be a pest to everyone he meets. If asked about his history, all he’ll do is laugh and say that he doesn’t know, doesn’t remember, or doesn’t care.
Sumire
2. How tall are they?
5′8 or 175 cm. Tall for a woman and proud of it. Forever disappointed that she’s not as tall as Rowena.
34. A random fact?
Sumire is surprisingly violent for how nice she seems. She’s cheerful and makes friends with just about everyone she meets, but for some reason, she’s really prone to doing bad things. Once the vampire thing settles in, Sumire is among the first of the group to kill-- and not necessarily because she has to. Her logic is that she’s a vampire now, so why shouldn’t she kill her prey? It starts out milder than that, yeah, but as things for all of them spiral, Sumire shows a worrying willingness to hurt people.
Oleander
2. How tall are they?
5′5 or 166 cm. Short enough that it deeply irritates him. Will be a brat to anyone who tries to lord their height over him.
34. A random fact?
He comes from a wealthy family and attended a “special education” institution for both elementary school and middle school. The fact that Oleander is what amounts to a spoiled rich kid does not help his arrogance or entitlement one bit. When he hit high school, his parents forced him to live on his own and on a budget to try to “teach him about the real world”. This may or may not be because they’re losing money fast. Oleander is completely unaware of this and holds one nasty grudge. And... he hasn’t adjusted too well to living by himself.
Aurora
2. How tall are they?
5′0 or 153 cm. The baby of the group in both height and age. Absolutely tiny next to her big brother, who carries her often.
34. A random fact?
When she was a little kid, Aurora was a biter. To everyone. It was a persistent bad habit of hers, and one that even Oberon bears a few scars from. He has three of her tiny mouth imprints in his arms; two on the left and one on the right... and one on his neck. Aurora is a bit embarrassed by this, but also finds it hilarious. When she’s particularly stressed out, she’ll go right back to biting people too, which has become a problem now that she’s a vampire. Her bites have gone from painful to deadly.
