Ness - The Bane of Giygas

Used to be a bit pudgier three years ago. When the world turned dark, food became scarce, and as such, he lost a ton of weight.

For the past three years, he's been searching for his friends. He's ready to end what they started.

Before meeting Lucas, he was a loner. He kept to himself and didn't want anyone knowing who he was. If people found out he was the boy who let Giygas take over, he'd put himself at risk.

He's shorter than Lucas!

Lucas - The Boy Cursed to Wander Worlds

He's been searching for his lost brother. Claus left to avenge his mother, who had been killed after arriving in the dark world.

Resides in a camp very far south of Fourside. Deep in the wilderness, the residents of Tazmily had begun erecting a new town.

Lucas is very naive about this new world. He wants to give people the benefit of the doubt-- hence why he approached Ness in the first place. Be it kindness or out of desperation, he did what he had to.

He has a bit of a "southern" drawl when he speaks, reminiscent of his father. He also has a bit of a lisp when talking.

ok so her name is ariella carpenter and she’s a fifth-year muggle-born hufflepuff. she is another mc interpretation bc my brain won’t shut up. so chile anyway she, being a total jesus freak, sees her ancient magic as a “gift 🎁 from 👅 the 👹 lord 🛐 himself 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨”. she constantly pushes her religion onto other students, and heaven forbid ANYONE question her faith. no matter how right the negative’s argument is, she still remains a truly annoying faithful servant of the lord. she genuinely believes what she preaches.

 think the stubbornness and narcissism of characters like inspector javert from les miserables or ramses from the prince of egypt or frex from wicked (more specifically the book but whatevr).

so she goes through the main hl plot, yaddah yaddah yaddah, and along the way, she slowly beings to question her faith. as she sees all these people die, as she sees the grey area of the world, she begins to wonder if there really is a god; i mean, why would he allow this genocide and division? but no! he’s real, her mommy said so.

at the end of the story, after the battle under hogwarts, she’s lost all faith. one day, not long after fig’s funeral, she goes missing. no one knows where she is, why she left, or if she’s even alive; all anyone knows is that she stopped preaching.

Originally hailing from Ivairis, Prachal was born into a poor family that was left with very little money after their business was embezzled by a trusted business partner. Combined with his parents already having very little support from their family or so-called friends, they were humbled very quickly from their previously privileged and carefree lifestyles. Growing up he knew very little of his parents' struggles as they were ashamed and wanted to raise their kids away from the ways they used to live. In school he did everything he could to rise the academic and social ranks and not be associated with his family's past, but no matter how hard he tried to hide and keep it secret, someone always found out and had to painfully remind him of it. Combined with his natural colors being shades of brown compared to the flashy and more popular jewel-toned peafowl-harpies, they did not help matters as he got bullied and picked on for many reasons. Constantly having to prove himself and having low self-esteem and depression, he could not wait for the day he could graduate high school and move far away to start a new life for himself. He traveled for a while before settling in Chromia, intrigued by all the celebrity figures who were able to make it big in their respective field after coming from similar situations as him. It took him a while to find his place in his new home, but after meeting his new friends who he came to see as his new family and getting the famous big-city makeover, he was starting to feel more confident in himself and hopeful for his dreams as he had people who genuinely supported him. After having a chance to figure himself out and explore his sense of style, he became interested to take up modeling both from his friends hyping up his good looks and his own interest in the high fashion industry, particularly for the sections that promoted self-individuality and expression. Another desire of his to become a model was to show to others that hard work and grit can get you closer to the life you want, and that anyone who does not fit standard beauty conventions can still shine in their own beautiful way. His career was slow going at first, but eventually his more flashy style landed him gigs for luxury brands, which is where he first met his rival, Azure Hamasaki. While both have similar motivations and wants to make something of themselves and be more from their troubled childhoods, ironically they never quite got along as they never opened up that much with each other. Neither really remembers who started their rivalry as it was one quip between them that sparked their sassy banter together, but ever since they have been trying to out-do each other with their modeling work and getting under each other's skin when not on sets together. Interestingly though, despite the "bad blood" between them many fans and mutual acquaintances have noticed a "tension" between them that suggests something else may be going on than what they display publicly. Whether people interpret as possible friendship or something more, neither has made any comment on it, other than they do their best to be the "better" model.

Supporting Characters

The lore is a WIP, so I'll just jot down the important parts. (tw for racism mention)

Taanya Melissandre François was born August 28, 1927, in Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche France to an Artist Father, Jean-Pierre François, and a Musician Mother, Collette François.

Parents died when Taanya was six years old. Her aunt and uncle, Miranda and Franklin Jurgen, stepped in to take care of her for the rest of her childhood.

Moved to the United States in 1948 to start a life of her own.

Struggled with finding work for a while due to discrimination and racism.

Settled with a job as a janitor at a local facility.

In preparation for artfight, after 2 years, Plushee has finally gotten an updated reference sheet and some changes to her design!

I hope to at least make a new ref sheet for Klei, 'Inky', my persona, and Milk, Eggs, & Bacon (I'll list them under one character) before art fight starts. And if I have time, maybe just maybe I'll do Kathrine.

Patch notes (old ref + what's different)

-She is now part silly hare. (Ears, first set of horns, and hind paws have been changed)

-She has a little fluff on her ankles now

-She has thumbs (finally, she can draw..)

-Now it's part of her lore that she can shapeshift, and her old refs are just forms she used to use.

-Tailtip + paw markings are now intentionally made to somewhat resemble fire. Sorta same for the belly and chest marking, but less noticeable.

-The feathered wing is just kinda a different shape. I like it better that way.

-Some colors have been adjusted a little, and her eye color is now very light green (instead of barely noticeable without color picking very light light blue.)

-Teeth are a little different

-Her name is written in the style of my watermark now. :3

-Ref sheet now has dark mode enabled (contrasts Plushee better)

There's other small anatomy changes with the snout, cheek fur, hind legs, belly, etc. but those are mostly from improving at drawing methinks. Anyways really happy with this :3
