Gundham’s and Kazuichi’s mangaka S/O wants to draw them
Gundham Tanaka:
·       Though you were the Super High School Level Mangaka you specialized in historical fantasy! You absolutely adored doing research and finding new mythical beasts and species to sketch and incorporate into your work. It was no surprise that Gundham became your muse the moment you two met!
·       Gundham would allow you to visit his creatures and draw them to use as bases for cryptids and monsters of all sorts in your manga. The four Dark Devas often acted as your pose models given how unusually animated they were for hamsters.
·       Having asked the Overlord of Ice to allow you near his animals so often you spent much time together and eventually started dating.
·       “My Queen, the Stringer of Fates, what curse dares to plague your soul?! You’ve not touched the pages with which you create and destroy worlds, as if it were deadly to do so! You’ve yet to search out a demon to immortalize. Not even have you greeted the four Dark Devas of Destruction as you always have.” You huffed lazily watching the rabbit Gundham was currently grooming. “Artists’ block. I can’t seem to draw or write anything. Either I just stare at a blank page for hours, or I start something which quickly dissolves into an incoherent mess!” Rubbing your temples, you grumbled at the clogged feeling fogging your mind. “I did pull a few all-nighters last week. Maybe I’m just drained. But if things keep going like this, I’ll miss my deadline! I already asked for an extension on it last week, I can’t keep doing this!”
·       Gundham watched as you picked up the sketch pad and pencil. There was this stiffness in your movements. Your hand which once flowed about gracefully like a bird in flight now paved plain straight lines. Your eyes darted about unable to focus on anything. “UGH! I can’t even draw a proper circle for the rabbit’s body!” Sinking into your seat you tossed your sketch pad and pencil aside. “Perhaps a day of respite is in order.” “No, I already took a day off yesterday. I feel I’m even worse now than I was two day ago.”
·       The Devas quickly scurried over to you, hopping into your lap, or climbing onto your shoulder to nuzzle your cheek. “… thanks.” Gently petting the two in your lap you sighed in defeat.
·       It was at that Gundham abruptly stood up. “Where is my Queen, and what have you done with her, villain?!” “… Huh?” “MY Queen would never rot away so quickly into a decrepit state such as this! She’d fight and claw till her final breath! She’d never faulter so easily!” “I Am, your Queen.” “Hmph! No, you are not. Now, tell me where she is.” You marched right up to Gundham glaring at him. “I’m right here! I am your Queen, the Stringer of Fates!”
·       It started as a chuckle which boomed into uproarious laughter! “There you are. That determination, your will to live has returned to your eyes. I am glad to have you back.” Surprisingly, you did feel like you had more energy than before. “So, shall we be off? A piece of you is still missing and we must search it out less you start to fade away once more.” “… Yeah, a date sounds nice right now.”
·       As a bright blush dusted his cheeks, the Overlord of Ice took your hand into his bandaged one, the other taking your bag of sketch supplies, he led you out of the school grounds into the great beyond!
·       The day was filled with fun and laughter as you raced from place to place, doing anything you could think of. A walk in the park, a trip to the arcade, lunch at a café, shopping at a bookstore, and anything else you could have dreamed of.
·       As the sun began to set, Gundham and you found yourselves at the clear beach, dancing around barefoot, not a care in the world. “… Gundham. Thank you, today was amazing.” His entire face instantaneously flushed hearing his true name being called. In that moment he just looked so beautiful to you. His sheepish smile, those tender eyes, just, everything about him.
·       “May I draw you?” “… Of course, my Queen.”
·       And thus you drew, having completely forgotten that morning or the past few days, you were struggling.
·       “Ah! Your depiction captured my true form! I should have known you could see through my mortal guise!” He so happily admired your drawing with sparkling eyes.
·       While he was distracted you worked on another piece, one of a dark king holding his queen close on the soft shores of the beach.
  Kazuichi Soda:
·       You never held much interest in machinery till you came to Hope’s Peak and met Kazuichi. It seemed just about every time you saw him, he was tinkering with something, from a small robot toy to a monster truck engine. Often times the parts of whatever he was working on were spread out, and then seeing how they all fit together fascinated you. Without realizing it you’d end up just watching him work for hours and sketching out the pieces and tools he was using.
·       Quickly this fascination bled into your own work, incorporating steampunk-esque elements into it. And the more elements you added, the more references you needed. At first you tried getting some on your own, but you’d just end up injuring your hands and fingers in some way or you’d break the pieces.
·       “Look, you got me into this mess and now you have to take responsibility.” “W-what!?” Before Kazuichi could panic you placed an old, rusted pocket watch before him. “How do I disassemble this!?” For a week or two after you’d bring some new item to Kazuichi to disassemble and reassemble. You eagerly sketched out the pieces you needed the references of and more.
·       Quickly you and Kazuichi became friends. You would chatter away as you did your own things. Before you knew it the two of you ended up spending time together just to be together, no drawing and no tinkering.
·       Kazuichi would go to you for advice for his unrequited crush on Princess Sonia to which you’d try your best to help, even if it did hurt a little given your crush on the mechanic. She wasn’t the only thing he spoke of though, so you had plenty of other conversations.
·       Kazuichi certainly liked chatting so when one day he was quiet you got a bit worried… Then you remembered something. “Oh Soda. You’ve never been on a school trip before, right?” “Hmm, uh, yeah. I skipped out on the only one I got a chance to go on.” “Because of financial issues, right.” “Yeah.” “Well, I happen to be going on a trip all over Europe for background references and I was thinking who better to take along than my best friend and best mechanic I know!” The news certainly perked him right up, and he excitedly chattered on about traveling! Quickly the news spread, and it ended up becoming a class trip! Honestly, though a trip alone with Soda sounded lovely, you more enjoyed seeing how ecstatic he was to be going on an actual class trip with everyone.
·       The trip was fantastic, it seemed to be nonstop fun. Often you’d forget that you were being payed to go on this trip for work and that you needed to get reference materials, thankfully Mikan took more than enough reference photos for you.
·       Though during the trip, you noticed how Kazuichi, though still friendly, was a bit more reserved than usual. When you asked him what was wrong, he said he appreciated the concern, but it was something he had to work out on his own.
·       Eventually your trip took you all to France the city of love. The place was certainly an artist’s dream, you found yourself drawing nonstop there. It was amazing!
·       At one point in your trip your class wanted to get to a restaurant at the top of a rather large hill, but the only way to get there was via a thin road by car. So, you, Kazuichi, Sonia and your driver were the last to get to the restaurant.
·       Then the car broke down. Kazuichi immediately went to check the engine while Sonia stood at the edge of the road, looking out at the sunset. It was a gorgeous sight, her profile, the sunset, the city lights, everything. You had started sketching out the scenery when a though struck you.
·       You elbowed Kazuich, gaining his attention. You then leaned in real close while still looking at Sonia, not noticing the blush spreading on his cheeks as he kept looking to you. “Hey Soda, now’s your chance. This view is absolutely romantic, and you’re in the city of love. Don’t you think this is the perfect time to ask out the girl you like?” This hurt, it really did, but seeing how happy he was to be going on a school trip without worry like he always wanted, you could hardly imagine his joy if Sonia got together with him at a time like this. It hurt, but you just wanted to see him happy.
·       “… Ask out the girl I like, huh…… Okay.”
·       Turning to you he placed his hands atop your shoulders. “Y/N I have a crush on you. Please go out on a date with me.” “… Wait? I thought… what about Nevermind?” “I, well, yeah, I do like her, but… I really like you… I… That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out lately and... so I... You get it, don’t you!?” “… Soda, please let me draw you!” “Huh?” “Well, if we start going out, we’ll be boyfriend and girlfriend, right? I’d like to have something to commemorate the moment by.” “S/O!” He pulled you into a tight hug, giddy out of his mind.
·       You ended up drawing him at the restaurant. He loved the drawing so much he took a picture to use as his phone’s lock screen. From then on you often drew him for references for poses and though all great, his favorite would forever be the first one you made of him. It was made to celebrate you getting together, it was always so special to him.

Gone For Too Long

todoroki shouto x reader
warnings: fluff

a/n: okay so this hits home because my boyfriend and i are in long distance :) so this is basically 50% of the struggle of having a boyfriend who you can’t love as constantly as you can. also anon, loved this so much!!!!!!! AND I LOVE YOU MUAH HAVE A GOOD NIGHT
Tumblr media
“Pick up, already.”
You lay in bed, your laptop in front of you, the all too familiar ringing of FaceTime echoed through your apartment as you waited for your boyfriend to pick up. A tired grin comes upon your face as the screen turns black, and then the pixelated form of your boyfriend appears on the screen.
“Sorry, my computer glitched out for a bit,” Shouto’s voice flows from your computer speaker, the scratchy tone from it being online blending into his tone. “You’re calling late.”
“Oh yeah, sorry!” You laugh shifting your position while bringing a pillow to your lap, something you did often while calling Shouto, it helped make it feel like he was there with you. “We had a major breakthrough with the lab, it was so phenomenal, I think we’ll be done by this summer’s end.”
Shouto grinned, the pixels glitching just the tiniest amount as it tried to keep up with real-time, “That’s great! Two years later, and you’re almost finished!”
You groan at the thought of it being two years, that hurt a lot more than you realized.
It had been two years since you had left your home in Japan.
“Yeah…” You agree, your voice trailing off as you stared at the keyboard instead of your boyfriend. “When will you not be busy? I miss you.”
Shouto frowns, or at least you think he frowns, the lagging of the screen makes it hard to tell what emotion is occurring on his face at the time as he wasn’t the most expressive. “It’s just been a bit busy right now; when I have an opening I’ll make sure to come down,” Shouto explains, as per tradition.
It had been two years since you came down to London, England for a special experiment that you had been allowed to be the head researcher for. So you hadn’t had the time to go home to visit as you had to be there at the lab, except for the one time you went home last year.
It was a two-day trip back to Japan so that you could surprise Shouto as part of your third-year anniversary, but as you did this under wraps, Shouto had the same plan under wraps.
You remember getting back to Japan and arriving home to find the house empty. Thinking it was just Shouto being busy that day, the second you picked up your phone from a call from your boyfriend, you wanted to cry hearing that he was currently outside your apartment wondering where you were.
Shouto had tried to desperately get a flight back home, as you couldn’t afford to get your ticket moved, but like every month anniversary, the two of you spent your third-year anniversary via FaceTime. Only that you were in Japan and he was in England. And to make matters worse, he was back inside the airport two minutes after final boarding ended.
“I miss you, more,” Shouto sighs, and the two of you just watch each other through the screen. “You’re getting a bit of an accent.”
You can’t help the laugh that escapes your lips, as you quickly wipe a tear away from your cheeks and the two of you are thrown into a conversation concerning whether or not your Japanese was truly becoming muddled with an accent. There the two of you sat, chatting away, longing to be beside each other, but continued speaking so that the distance between you two just seemed a bit more temporary.
You were tired though, it was nearing two in the morning, and you had to be awake in a few hours to go back to researching. You rubbed your eyes as you listened a bit irritated as Shouto was explaining to you why Izuku, Katsuki, and himself were nearly arrested for starting a brawl over an arcade game.
“I can’t hear you.” You say again, your eyes burning from exhaustion as your hand goes to wave, a signal you guys did when the other was lagging due to poor connection. “Babe, wait…”
“I can’t—“ Shouto’s voice breaks through the laptop's speakers, and you sigh. “I—need to—can you??”
You rub your face with a free hand, the other continuing to wave until you can see Shouto waving back, the picture and audio now caught up. “I need to sleep.” You say, trying to suppress the irritation that is threatening to crawl into the tone of your voice.
“Oh, okay.” Shouto stills, his face emulating his sympathy towards your situation, the breaking up video was always something that irritated the both of you. “I’ll text you the story later, then?”
“Please do, I can’t believe you idiots haven’t gotten arrested, honestly.” You laugh dryly, trying your best not to sound irritated because you knew it wasn’t either of your fault the connection sucked. You watch as he nods his head, and you sigh for what feels like the millionth time.
“Goodnight and good morning, Shoucchan. Good luck with work, don’t stress yourself out, and know that I love you with all my heart.” You whisper to him, a truly tired yet loving smile on your face for your boyfriend.
“Sweet dreams, y/n. Make sure you set your alarms and good luck with your labs. I love you with all my heart and so much more.” Shouto whispers back.
You blow a kiss, and can’t help the laughter that escapes your lips as Shouto blows one back and produces two hearts with his fingers. “Kick some ass for me.” He says.
You roll your eyes but continue smiling as your finger traces up the touchpad and ends the call. You got up and turned off your lights, and returned to snuggle back into your sheets, hoping that your bed wouldn’t feel so empty without Shouto, even two years later.
A text message made your phone screen light up, and you smiled as you read the message.
shouto toa(d)orki - sorry video chat was crap, go to bed, i love you so so much
Knowing that if you replied the two of you would text for hours more, so instead you deleted the notification and came to stare at your lock screen.
It was a picture of the two of you during a wedding for your best friend back home. She was getting married, and naturally, you were one of the two maids of honors, and when the wedding party went to take pictures, they allowed pictures to be taken with significant others. Because love is love is love.
So you stood there in your pretty maid of honor dress, your makeup done and hair did, and there was a glowing smile coming from your face as you were in mid-laugh. But it was Shouto that made this one of your favorite photos of you. It wasn’t a professional picture, but instead, one caught by a bridesmaid. You were laughing because of a dry comment Shouto made that you had found hilarious, and instead of looking over to where the camera was, he was looking at you. The most lovingly affectionate smile on his face as he stared at your face. The two of you had already been entangled together as part of the pose, but he seemed so gentle that even now it never failed to make you cry.
Unlocking your phone, you stared at the home screen, which was by far your favorite photo of Shouto that you had managed to take when he was off guard. The memory was years ago, but you could remember it like it was yesterday.
“Shouto, I have the most serious question in the world for you,” You intensely state, sitting on your knees as you turned your attention to your boyfriend who was mid-slurp of his soba noodles. His quirked eyebrow letting you know he was listening, and with a splitting grin, you asked away, “Are you an ass man, or a boobs man?”
There is no expression on Shouto’s face for a second. Two seconds.
On the third second, a light blush comes across his face as he returns his attention onto his food. But you can hear the slight choking sound escaping his lips and you cackle just the smallest amount as you wait for him to finish his noodle. You drag his chair out from the table, ignoring the small and weak protests leaving his lips. Taking your phone and opening the camera app, ready for the perfect moment, you sat on his lap straddling his body to the chair, and you laughed.
Shouto’s eyes were looking past you, ignoring you as you adjust your position on his lap. With the arm that held your phone, you placed it on his shoulder, letting your hand hang, and with your free arm, you grabbed his hand that was stiff against your thighs. “Ass?” You ask as you guide his hand to your butt, and you remove it after a moment of lingering, “Or boobs?” And you gently press his hands against your breast. An ever so teasingly smile on your face as the blush on Shouto’s cheeks darken.
“I–um, well, I–” Shouto stutters uncharacteristically as you let out a laugh crushing him into a hug, “What are you–?” He stops mid-sentence at the sight of you bringing your phone out and snapping a picture.
So forever on pixels was the embarrassed looking Shouto who was staring at your breast as your cheeks were pressed onto his as you smiled brightly for your camera. Simple and sweet.
Approving the picture, you pressed a lingering kiss onto Shouto’s lips to which he responds to immediately. “Thank you!” You whisper against his lips, as you scoot off his lap.
Only that it didn’t go as planned as Shouto grabs you by your ass and immediately has you back onto his lap, “You can’t expect to leave me just like that?” He says, a fire burning in his eyes, and now it's your turn to blush as his lips come to meet yours with unwavering passion.
“And you still didn’t answer my question!” You whine quietly as his lips momentarily pause.
“I’m a man who appreciates all parts of my lover.”
“Mhmm.”
The rest of this conversation is further explored by the actions of that night.
You sigh as you turn off your phone and turn around, and with thoughts of Shouto on your mind you pass out.
⋆✭⋆✭⋆⋆✭⋆✭⋆
It’s a few days later when you find yourself home, a single day off after working for eleven months straight. You’re on the phone texting with Shouto, or at least texting Shouto.
He wasn’t responding to you, and he hadn’t been for around eleven hours or so. Yes, there was a time difference, but not enough where you couldn’t text during the day. You had texted him what you had been doing all day, updating him with every lazy detail of your day, and sending him every PigeonGame you could. No response.
Not even your friends could tell you where Shouto was, and typically he was with at least one of them.
You stare at your phone some more, wishing for something from your boyfriend, and when a FaceTime call comes through, you immediately pick up.
“HELLO!” You scream into the phone as it shows Shouto’s face on the screen.
He smiles down at the camera, god even at a downwards angle your boyfriend still managed to look good. “Hi, sorry, I wasn’t able to use my phone for the entire day. Something with the phone company.” Shouto explained, an awkward smile on his face, and you knew he was lying.
“M’kay,” You suspiciously squint your eyes, but let the lie slide, it wasn’t something you wanted to get on him about. Besides, you guessed that it could add up considering he was one to fall asleep before midnight, and it was currently three in Japan. “Where are you?” You ask noticing the grey interior of the car he was in, his interior was not grey.
“I’m in a taxi.” Shouto says with a small shrug, “I can’t use my car, so I’m using the taxi.”
“Not using the train still?” You ask a bit confused about the entire reason why he had started using a car all those years ago when you had a perfectly good public transport system at home.
Shouto laughs a bit, his eyes looking up at where the driver was probably at. “Uh, I just was running late, and a taxi was going to be faster than waiting fifteen minutes for the next train.”
“Okay,” You hum as you roll over on your bed and you swear you hear English, but ignore it as you pull the phone closer to your face as you watch Shouto exit the car, handing money over to the cab driver. “What are you grabbing?” You ask as you hear a click from the trunk. “Are you having a sleepover at Bakugou’s? Mina said that's what she thought was happening.”
“What? No.” Shouto gave you a weird look.
“Why are you getting to work so late anyway, isn’t it three? Just cuz your daddy runs the business doesn’t mean you can be a douche.”
“Aren’t you little ball of sunshine,” Shouto mutters as he begins walking, and you can’t help but laugh as you watch him walk up staircases. “Can you do me a favor though?” He asks.
You hum, letting him know you were ready for anything he could ask, not that you were sure as to what it would be.
“Open your front door?”
Your scrunch your eyebrows together as you get off your bed and walk to the front door, “Did you get me a gift? I’m not forgetting our anniversary, and it’s not my birthday.” You say suspiciously as you open the door, your eyes concentrated on your phone before you glance at the floor for some package.
Except, it wasn’t a box you found your eyes looking at, but instead a pair of white sneakers. You froze and you felt your phone drop from your hands.
Tears swam in your eyes as you slowly trailed your eyes up the body and landed your gaze onto Shouto, who was staring at you with an almost breathless expression on his face. As if you two had been meeting for the first time and were in love at first sight.
Tears fell down your face and Shouto gingerly reached a hand out to wipe away the water coating your face.
“Hi, my love.”
thats it for now my lovely readers! i hope you enjoyed, long distance relationships are some of the best and worst experiences, but i think it makes a relationship stronger sometimes too!!!! anyways, i just hit 400 followers and that makes me excited, and i need ideas of things to do for that milestone!!! send me ideas!!!
bonus!
“No, no. Do not move.” You mumble into Shouto’s chest as the two of you finished making out for what was the twentieth time in the past two hours. “You’re ruining my time with you!”
“I’ll be here for a month, dumbass,” Shouto says and the small reassurance causes tingles to shoot down your body. "Besides, you're the one who's been gone for too long."
“Do you think we can beat our old records in a month?” You ask suggestively as you let Shouto get up to go pee.
“No, because you’re working.”
“I literally called out for the month the second you told me the first time!”
“They let you?”
“No, but I did get two weeks!”
You waited on your bed as Shouto returned back to the room wearing nothing but his pants and socks, his shirt had long since been taken off. “Well,” He says as he climbs on top of you, “I guess there’s only one way to find out.”
Smiles adorn both your faces as your lips meet halfway.

authors note: this was so much fun to write ugh and yes this is names after gfriends new album, go stream that shit
“C’mon” You whined quietly into your dark bedroom, the only light illuminating being from your laptop. Your apartment was empty and if anything that was a good thing, people would only distract you from you overall goal;
TO GET NCT TICKETS
The 21 member boy group had announced their tour around 2 months ago and the tickets for your city had finally dropped, you had even taken off work for this special occasion. You were absolutely determined to get these tickets, after all, no groups ever come near you.
And that said determination worked because 9 minutes later, after lots of blood, sweat and tears, you had gotten to checkout just before the tickets sold out.
“WHOOOOO” You couldn’t help but scream, this would be your first concert since the GOT7 one that you and your best friend actually flew out to Korea for. That was your first ever kpop concert and that’s how you met your now boyfriend of 3 years.
You honestly never expected to meet the love of your life at a concert,,,,,, that’s like a bad fanfiction trope.
But you couldn’t help notice him, after all he was standing right next to you. Since you and your friend were kinda on a tight budget, you couldn’t get two seats next to each other, therefore you were stuck in between some loud girl who wouldn’t stop crying and a boy with a weird brown and black haircut. Not wanting to talk to the crying girl, you instead opted to start a conversation the boy.
“So you like GOT7, huh?” You asked, internally cringing at the stupid question. But instead of calling you an idiot, the boy simply smiled and continued the conversation.
“Yeah! The guys are really cool and their music never ceases to amaze me.” He replied, still smiling.
“Me too! They never disappoint me.” You smiled back at him.
The two of you soon found yourselves in a full blown discussion about everything from other groups to the best place to get ice cream in Seoul.
“I’m not actually from Seoul.” You laughed.
“OH, oh sorry.” He said sheepishly before lighting up. “Maybe I can take you there? I mean I don’t know how long you’re gonna be in Seoul for but maybe it’d be fun!”
“So like a date?” His face seemed to changed to a deep red in a matter of seconds.
It was actually,,, kinda cute.
“I-i, I mean if you want it to be. I mean I never really get days off and I think it’d be fun to spend one with someone as pretty as you.” His eyes seemed to get wide after realizing what he he said and he stuttered out to try and save himself. “I mean, UH-”
“So I’m pretty?” you said, beaming as wide as possible. He was cute, VERY cute.
“I didn’t mean it like that, uh.” He said nervously, looking around everywhere but you.
“Sooooo, I’m not pretty?” This seemed to have made him panic even more because before you knew it, he was stumbling over his words again, trying to excuse himself any way he could even though he did do anything wrong. You couldn’t help but laugh at his actions before trying to relax his nerves. “I’m just joking!’ You paused for a minute before looking down at the ground with a smile on your face. “Plus, I’d love to go on a date with you.”
The two of you later exchanged contact information and bid each other goodbye once the concert with over.
But you couldn’t help but shake the feeling of happiness that was brought with that strange boy, who you never happened to get the name of.
After that the two of you went on your wholesome ice cream date and the whole week that you were staying in Korea, was filled with texting and calling (at the dismay of your friend of course.) You two had learned everything about each other over the span of 7 days , whether in person or over the phone.
His name was Chris, he was 18 at the time and he enjoyed writing and producing songs. You had also learned that he was a JYP trainee and that he lived in Australia prior to moving to Korea (which explained how he knew English and the accent that you didn’t notice until it was just the two of you at a small ice cream store.)
The two of you kept contact once you went back home and it didn’t take long for the two of you to start dating, about 3 months after the concert, he came to visit you.
You showed him your favorite spots to visit and the 2nd night he was there, while the two of you were at this local arcade, he asked you out. It was kinda cheesy actually.
“Christopher Bang, come play skee-ball with me RIGHT NOW.” You exclaimed loudly, dragging him behind you to the machine.
“ Y/N I told you that I suck at this game.” He whined, trying to shake your grip off of his wrist.
But this time you wouldn’t take now for an answer, yesterday he made you go mini golfing after he saw it on the drive to lunch. He wouldn’t stop complaining and whining until you finally agreed to “1v1” him in golf.
And to you it was just a waste of $10.
So now it was only justice that you got to beat his ass in the arcade games that you mastered as a kid.
Starting with skee-ball of course.
And your predictions were right, you DID beat his ass in all of the games, well that was until you got to Dance Dance Revolution,,,,
You had never been a dancer, it just wasn’t something you were good at, like at all. Your friends had always told you that you have left feet and they were right. BUT this didn’t stop you from being cocky still.
“Well looks like this is the last game,, prepare to get your ass beat once again, Christopher. “ You smiled cockily at him which made him chuckle.
He was honestly having a nice time, whether you were kicking his ass or not.
You see, he had liked you for awhile now. Over the past 3 months the two of you had grown a really close bond and his feelings just grew and grew. So he was about to take his chance.
“Fine but let’s make a deal.” He smiled at you and you simple laughed at the fact that he thought a deal needed to be made. You WERE the gaming master. “If I win this game. You have to be my girlfriend.”
“Is this your idea of asking me out, Mr. Bang?” You teased him which simply made him stick his tongue out at you.
“That’s only if I win.” He winked at you and you felt your heart flutter. You had been harboring feelings for him ever since that date you guys had 3 months ago but you were always too scared to ask him out due to the fact that he was a trainee and he was gonna be an idol one day. He wouldn’t have time for you one day and you didn’t know if you could take that.  But maybe, just maybe things could work.
You two started the game and like you had already knew was going to happen, he kicked your ass.
“Well looks like you’ll be taking me on more ice cream dates.”
The sound of your phone ringing out broke your memories of you and your boyfriend and speak of the devil, look who was calling.
It was none other than Chan himself.
“Hey sorry I didn’t call you today, I was in practice all day but I’m free now!” He said through the phone but you were just excited to finally talk to someone about your concert tickets.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH, CHANNIE! GUESS WHAT I GOT TODAY” You practically screamed into the phone, not bothering to care if the neighbors heard you.
“What’d you get, babe?” He seemed genuinely excited to hear about it and it made the familiar fluttering feeling appear in your stomach.
“GUESS WHO IS FINALLY GOING TO AN NCT CONCERT? YEAH ME ! CHANNIE I’M SO EXCITED, I GET TO SEE MY BOYS PERFORM IN PERSON AND IN JUST 9 DAYS TOO!!! CATCH ME OUT THERE FORTNITE DANCING LIKE FELIX.” You ranted, excitedly.
“Oh, really? Well, I hope you have fun.” For some reason he seem excited for you. The excitement that he exuded just a minute prior seemed to just disappear out of thin air. But before you could ask him about it, you heard some yelling in the background. “Babe, I’m so sorry. I think Jisung and Minho are fighting again, ah I’m sorry. I’ll call you again soon if I have time. I love you ! Bye!”
And like that he was gone. For a few days actually, he didn’t call you much and if he did it was only for 10 minutes or so. He didn’t reply to texts that often either. Therefore the only thing you could conclude was that your boyfriend was an NCT anti and he didn’t deserve ANY fights.
No just kidding, the only thing you could think of was that he was busy and just didn’t have time for you at that moment. You even asked his other members if anything was wrong and they all said things were just busy for them. You had a feelings something was off but you just opted to ignore it due to the fact that NCT was coming.
When the day of the concert came around NOTHING could ruin your mood, you were seeing your favorite boys (after skz ofc) and that’s all you were worried about.
So when it was time to go, you grabbed your green lightstick and headed out the door with no cares in the world.
You hadn’t gotten amazing tickets, you weren’t far but you weren’t amazingly close, you could see pretty well but everyone around you had signs which was kinda annoying.
But halfway through the concert your phone had started to get blown up by a familiar Aussie, no not your loving boyfriend but Felix.
Lix: You should’ve saved your money for OUR concert, greedy bastard >:(
You: why would i go to ur concert when nct exists :D
Lix: ur so rude, chan hyung says no kisses for a WEEK
You: we live miles away SWEATY
Lix: o rlly??
Your texts were cut off my a pair of arms wrapping themselves around your waist.
“Hi baby.” Chan’s voice said in your eye.
You felt your eyes widened before turning around and facing the man.
“Chan? What are you doing here?” You were shocked out of all things, but you also wanted to cry. You haven’t physically seen him or touched him like this in around a year and a half. Once Chan was told that’d he’d be having his own group and going on a survival show, you both didn't have time to fly out for one another. So when the tears started welling up in his eyes, you weren’t surprised at all.
“Well we don’t have a busy schedule and I just missed you, so I asked JYP if they boys and I could have a small break,,,well he said yes. I was honestly surprised but then we were told we were gonna be doing a couple photoshoots here so I understood why. But it doesn’t matter because I can finally see you again.” At the end his voice broke but that didn’t stop the smile was ran across his face.
You couldn’t help but begin to smile as well.
But the sweet moment was soon realized by the realization he had been ghosting you.,
“You’re so dumb.” You sniffled and wiped the tears in your eyes before punching his shoulder.
Hard.
He yelped and looked at you in confusion.
“You’ve been ghosting me for almost 2 weeks JUST so you could surprise me. I would have much rather had you just talking to me, you big idiot.”You said, punching his shoulder once again for good measure.
“OUCH, Y/N LISTEN. I just wanted to surprise you and I know i would have been talking to you, maybe I am an idiot.” You raised your eyebrow at him. “Okay I AM an idiot.”
“ Ya, I know but you’re my idiot and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” You smiled at him again which made him smile back at you despite the fact that where you punched him actually hurt.
The moment was once again short lived after you realized you were missing NCT performing.
“CHRISTOPHER BANG YOU ARE SO DUMB, YOU’RE MAKING ME MISS THE CONCERT.” You yelled, punching his shoulder for the third time. He winced before giving you and pout which just made you glare at him.
“Felix was right, you should’ve just saved your money for OUR concert. “ He said, sticking his tongue out at you.
“I don’t care, I came here for Johnny because the most handsome man ALIVE.” You smirked and simply stuck out your tongue back.
“That was the worst thing you’ve ever said to me.” He made a disgusted face which only made you raise your eyebrows.
“I could always say worse.”
“Suddenly I’m single.”

MY BEST FRIEND'S SISTER
PART-III
Soon after one date, Gray and Juvia hitted off quickly. Both of them were intrigued by one another's personality and individuality that they realized, they complemented each other so well.
As expected Juvia joined Gray's class and was under constant observation of her brother.
Because of which they had to maintain their relationship as a secret.
To the outside world, they were just a normal acquaintance but only they knew the bond between is that of lovers.
This secret relationship continued for 5 months on a guilty basis. Gray, at times felt guilty that he was dating his best friend's sister while Juvia felt bad that she was dating her brother's best friend without his knowledge.
But soon they would forget their guilt whenever they see and fall in each other's arms.
They convinced themselves that they were in love with an individual who happens to associated with a common man, Natsu.
Their love for one another grew stronger as the days passed by. But their friends and more importantly Natsu, found their behaviour suspicious.
Erza and Lucy did once confront Gray about this but he just brushed it off casually.
But Natsu never questioned him on this matter which showed he believed his friend and his sister.
So both Gray and Juvia decided the coming weekend, they would tell Natsu about their relationship and if he doesn't permit, they would convince him until he agrees and permit them.
As Gray heard his door bell sound, he came out from his room to attend it.
When he opened the door, he was taken by surprise as his girlfriend was standing right front of him with a bright smile which he really loved it.
"Wow, what a pleasant surprise? I didn't expect you here. Come in." He happily greeted her and moved aside so that she can enter his apartment.
As Juvia came in she realized her handsome boy was standing showing his bare chest.
This was the first time she saw him semi-naked and blushed hardly.
"Gray, cover your upper body." She said to him while closing her eyes.
Seeing her reaction, Gray smirked and closed the doors so that others don't interrupt their moment.
"Juvia, don't close your eyes. You should get used to this baby. Now open your eyes." Gray came close and cupped her cheeks.
Once Juvia opened her eyes, she met his smiling face. She was still embarrassed, "Juvia, do you like what you see?" He smirked.
Steams were literally coming out of her eyes, she playfully smacked his chest.
"Gray, stop teasing me. Of course, Juvia loves her boyfriend."
Juvia wrapped her arms around his torso whil Gray pulled her closer by snaking his arms around her waist.
"Even I love you, baby. So what brings you here?"
"Simply Juvia thought, she will pay her Gray a surprise visit to see his reaction."
"Well...well...I'm surprised indeed. So what's there in that bag which you are holding from that time?"
Gray now became curious and asked her as that bag was poking his back.
Juvia broke the hug and gave him the paper bag. "Go ahead. Hope Gray likes it."
When Gray opened the bag, he saw a black woollen muffler. He took it out, "Hey did you knit it on your own? It looks adorable and fashionable."
Juvia smiled and nodded her head, "It's for my Gray. Soon weather is going to get even more cold, so it's a small gift from Juvia. And thank you for the necklace which Gray gave her."
The other day, when Gray visited Juvia on the pretense of meeting Natsu but their mom directly saw through Gray's plan and teased him.
"Well Gray, I guess Natsu is not here. Go inside Juvia will be happy to see you. Don't go sprouting some excuses to me.
I know about you guys, Juvia never hides anything from me. Go ahead lover boy, hope you keep my little princess happy."
Juvia's mom teased him making him go red from top to bottom.
Once he entered the living room, Gray saw Juvia coming downstairs and ran upto him to give a bear hug which he responded back.
After spending some quality time he gave the necklace which he bought for her.
"Why did Gray do through the trouble of getting Juvia this necklace?" She examined the butterfly shaped pendant attached to the silver chain.
"Just to see your smile, baby. It's just the starters, you will see much more of such things. I'm going to spoil my girlfriend with many more things and love. I love you." Gray then wore the necklace around her neck.
Back to the present time, "So Juvia was already planning to give Gray something. She decided a muffler would be a better choice. So Juvia knitted one for you. Does Gray like it?" She asked in hesitation.
Gray wore the muffler around his neck and hugged her. "I love it, baby. Thank you for taking your time to make this gift wholeheartedly. I will wear it everyday from now."
Next day
Gray wore his girlfriend's gift proudly to school. When he entered the class, his friends greeted him and saw his muffler.
"Wow Gray, that's a nice muffler. You got there. Where did you buy one?" Jellal inquired him.
Gray smugly flaunted his muffler and sat on this desk. "It's a gift from my most important person."
"Most important person" They said in unison.
"Don't tell us you got a girlfriend behind our back, you idiot." Erza added.
Just then Natsu and Juvia enters the class, Lucy instantly greets them, followed by others. Natsu hugged and kissed her cheeks.
Juvia softly smiled at them as she went past Gray to sit behind him. She whispered slowly, "Good Morning, Gray" and brushed her hand against his left hand.
When Natsu's turned his attention towards others, he noticed the muffler on Gray's neck.
"It looks like the one which Juvia was knitting for a long time. But I can't come to conclusions without confirming this." Natsu thought to himself.
"Yo Ice-princess, when did you get this muffler?" He asked him making both Gray and Juvia to fidget internally.
"He got that from his most important person." Lucy told her boyfriend.
"Yeah, she's right. I just got that yesterday." Gray said without making an eye contact with his friend.
"Ohh that's okay." Natsu found it suspicious as Gray never backs off from the insult but for the past few months, he didn't call him flame-breath nor any tactless talks against him.
Erza also noticed this change in behavior so she directly asked him, "Gray, are you hiding something from us? You have being like a different person now as compared to few months back."
Gray waved his hands, "Nah!! What makes you say something like that? I am in my usual self, I guess."
Throughout the day, Gray never removed his muffler and wore it happily.
During the lunch break, one of the freshman year girl came upto him to confess her feeling.
But Gray sent her away saying he is committed which made the girl heartbroken.
After school, Gray met Juvia in their usual meeting place.
"Hi baby, what took you this long to come?" Gray stood up from the bench.
"Sorry Gray, it took few minutes to convince onii-chan that Juvia was going to Meredy-chan's place.
He didn't believe her but Lucy-san smacked and lectured him to give some privacy to Juvia." She sighed in relief.
"Don't worry, we will tell him and others about us tomorrow, for now, come let's enjoy this evening in peace."
Gray put his arm around Juvia's shoulder and led her to a nearby restaurant for their small date.
After strolling around the market square, doing some window shopping and playing some games at the arcade, they reached the cafe.
Juvia latched her arms around Gray's arm and entered the restaurant.
After finding an empty space, they made themselves comfortable and ordered their food.
When their food was served, they fed each other happily without realizing the audience were watching their cute interaction.
"Aww such a cute couple. My dear husband, learn something from that boy.."
A lady taunted her husband that's when both of them realized and blushed wildly.
After eating their food, Gray told her about his childhood stories how he and her brother were along with Erza who was till now bossing around them.
Juvia happily listened to her boyfriend's tales then suddenly Gray become clingy.
He caught hold of Juvia's hands softly squeezed them.
"What is Gray doing? It's making Juvia feel shy." She said with a blush.
Gray winked and gave her a flying kiss making her blush even harder.
"Juvia for how many months are we dating?"
"Juvia thinks for 5 months. Why? What happened, Gray?" Juvia asked in confusion.
Gray blushed, "Then can we level up our relationship? You know we still didn't share our first kiss. If you don't want, then we dont have to do it." He finally told her.
Juvia grew red and slowly nodded her head indicating her approval.
Suddenly someone voice interrupted their sweet moment,
"So for 5 months, you guys have been dating behind my back?"
Both Gray and Juvia looked up to meet the owner of the voice and their eyes widened in shock.
"NATSU.....LUCY..."
"ONII-CHAN.........LUCY-SAN...."
"Gray, we knew something was wrong!!" Lucy scoffed at them.
Natsu gave them an expression which they couldn't read what was going on his mind.
"So the muffler you are wearing was given by my sister right?" Natsu asked Gray.
"Yes"
"The silver chain which you are wearing was given by him, right Juvia?"
"Yes Onii-chan. Please..." Juvia pleaded him to not get angry.
"Hey Natsu, listen even before I knew Juvia who she was, I grew crush on. Seriously Man, I couldn't control my feelings for her and asked her out. I really love her, Natsu even she does the same." Gray said.
Natsu saw how Gray was still holding his sister's hand. Natsu turned his head to Juvia and told her to move in so that they sit and sort the issue.
"Onii-chan, Juvia is sorry. She really loves Gray. She doesn't care whether he is your bestfriend but for me he is someone who makes Juvia feel safe besides you and mom.
Even Juvia had crush on him ever since she saw in on the road. And in these 5 months, Gray has been a pure gentleman." She began to cry.
Lucy who sat opposite to the siblings consoled her, "Hey Juvia, don't cry your brother know you both very well. He will agree to this."
" Why didn't you tell me that you both were dating for each other these many days?" Natsu asked in a sad tone.
"That's because you are an over-protective brother. I saw that day itself how you react when I found out you had a sister.
We were scared that you might not allow this to happen. Anyways, we were planning to disclose this matter to you tomorrow but you found out today itself.
See Natsu, this is the first time I have ever had such intimate relationships with any girl, you also know that.
I really love your sister, man. I promise to keep her happy and always smiling. Please trust me." Gray tried to assure his friend.
Lucy squeezed Natsu's hand, "Dear, you must see the love Gray has for and Juvia has for Gray. They both love each other dearly, just let them be like that. Don't put any restrictions on them or separate them."
Natsu after thinking for some time, he sighs heavily, "Seriously Ice-princess, Juvia has changed you a lot. You guys, could have told me this from the beginning itself instead of hiding and creating such drama.
Who said I won't permit you guys from loving each other? It's your personal opinion and moreover, my sister fell in love with someone whom I know in and out. Go ahead, continue your love story." Natsu grinned.
Both Juvia and Gray couldn't control their happiness and Juvia hugged her brother thanking him for being such broad minded person.
"Thanks Natsu for allowing me to date your sister. Seriously Man, from day one, we had a bit of guilt but now, we are free from that. Thank you, Natsu." Gray smiled genuinely.
"Well Ice-princess, you do have some rules and regulations to be followed. Basically, you should not touch, hug, kiss and do any inappropriate stuffs with her and...."
Before Natsu could finish, Lucy smacked his head and made him stop.
"I said don't interfere in their love story. Come let's all go home together or are you guys planning something?"
"Nah!! Anyways we were gonna leave. Come let's go." Gray and Juvia got up and followed the other couple to outside.
As they kept walking behind them, talking and whispering sweet talks in Juvia's ears making her blush and earning him some playful smacks on his arms.
For once Juvia decided to be bold, her question made Natsu stop on his track.
"Onii-chan, can I stay with Gray tonight?"
Her request made Gray blush leading him to his fantasy world, Natsu wore a scandalous look while Lucy giggled.
"See you pervert, you made my sister one too." Natsu comically yelled at his friend and stormed backward to get his sister's hand away from him.
"No, you are not going anywhere. Come home with me or else, you will be grounded." Natsu pulled Juvia's wrist.
Both Lucy and Gray were laughing seeing Natsu's expression.
"Hey bro, let her be. I promise, I won't cross the boundary line for now." Gray tried to assure him.
But Natsu was adamant and never let Juvia out of his hold. She pouted, "Fine, Juvia will come home. Now leave her."
Natsu trusted his sister's words and let go of her only to be see her hugging Gray's arm.
"Really Gray, if you make her cry. I will make you eat dirts. Got it." Natsu warned him.
"Don't worry, I will never make my baby cry. I intend to keep her smiling and happy. I love her very much to simply hurt her."
Gray has he placed his arm on her lower back pulling her towards him closer.
Both Natsu and Lucy smiled.

TITLE: Giftless CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 20/50
AUTHOR: nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE:
Imagine that you are Stark’s niece and you secretly share a strong relationship with Loki since he entered the crew. One day you get hurt so bad during a mission that you are about to die.  Loki knows a spell that will save you and share his immortality with you but you and he will be linked forever sharing thoughts, pain, emotions…
RATING: T NOTES/WARNINGS: Underage reader (no sex!!)  Also on AO3 click here
“Y/N KATHRYN STARK!” you heard your named bellowed the next morning. You and Loki were sitting on your couch in the common room minding your own business and actually not causing trouble. It was an impressively quiet morning around the tower.  Until Tony started bellowing anyway.
You looked up from your laptop, on which you were supposed to be writing an essay that was due Monday, but instead you were posting the pictures of yourself and Loki from yesterday on social media. Loki had taken a bunch of pictures yesterday, so the upload was taking awhile, but that couldn’t have anything to do with Tony’s anger. You quickly thought over everything you had done recently, but couldn’t think of anything you’d done that would upset Tony.  At least not that much.
“What’s wrong, Uncle Tony?” you asked, really having no idea this time why he was so pissed.
He glared at you as if you should know why he was angry. “WHY ARE YOU ON THE NEWS?” he demanded, still roaring.
You just stared at him, shocked.  You weren’t concerned over his roaring or anger, especially not after he’d accidentally thrown you into a wall. He wasn’t going to risk your safety again anytime soon after that.
“I’m on the news?” you asked dumbly. That was the only reaction you could think of to that accusation. You hadn’t done anything worthy of getting on the news for.
Tony grabbed the remote and smashed buttons until the local news came on. You stared at it in shock. They were showing images and a short clip of you and Loki on your date yesterday.
Oops.
You knew you were a celebrity, but you forgot that led to being on TV on occasion.
“WHY IS HE KISSING YOU ON TV?” Tony roared, as they showed the image of you kissing in front of all the fangirls. You blushed and looked away from him. “WHY THE HELL IS HE KISSING YOU AT ALL?”
You rolled your eyes at that.  Even Tony couldn’t be that oblivious. “He’s my boyfriend. Kisses do kind of come with the territory,” you replied with snark and sarcasm in your voice. It wasn’t your fault your dumb uncle hadn’t realized that you and Loki were officially an item.
The news reporter drew your attention as he was talking about how local celebrity niece of the infamous Ironman, appeared to now be dating Tom Hiddleston, famous actor who played the character Loki in all of the Avengers movies. “Their info is wrong anyway. Someone will rectify it eventually,” you shrugged. You weren’t concerned.  Hiddleston’s publicity team wouldn’t let the mistake go on for long. “Calm down, Uncle Tony. It’ll blow over in a few days. Go do something heroic and it’ll go away faster. I’m not nearly as interesting as you are,” you reminded him and the rest of the supers in the room laughed and cheered in general agreement that they’d take down a bunch of villains so you’d be out of the news again sooner. You couldn’t help laughing at them.  The younger supers were always so enthusiastic.
You were recognizable especially since Ironman and all of the Avengers were so famous, even the younger supers who lived here after magic exploded across the world.  They did save the world, and especially New York, all the time.  Since Tony was one of the few supers whose secret identify was compromised, you ended up being a topic of celebrity gossip too. It was an occupational hazard of being a Stark. You were usually boring, so you didn’t end up in the news often, but it happened on occasion, especially when there wasn’t much news. Your hair was a hindrance since it was so distinctively colored, which is why you had tried dying it last year. That hadn’t ended well.
You went back to work on your laptop, ignoring Tony’s spluttering. He growled about it awhile longer, but the story went away quickly when the press was notified that the person you were kissing was in fact not Tom Hiddleston. Duh. Tom didn’t have Loki’s hair unless he was filming.  The news people claimed they were going to try to find out who the mysterious Tom Hiddleston look-alike was, and the story blew over from there.
Tony finally calmed down, and even seemed to accept that you were dating Loki, though he didn’t seem to like it. You figured it was just because he was your uncle and legal guardian.
*
The rest of the week was fairly quiet. You went to school with Loki every day. He sent you notes during classes all day and was generally adorable. You had combat training every day, and you were getting better with the dagger as well as with hand-to-hand fighting. Loki was even teaching you how to speak with him telepathically. It wasn’t perfect, since you were a human without magic, but he taught you meditation and how to order your mind. He could speak to you with his own telepathy and if you thought about your response in a focused manner, he could hear the reply. He taught you how to put up boundaries on thoughts and memories you didn’t want him to overhear and you trusted absolutely that he wouldn’t invade your privacy.  You didn’t master it in a week, or course, it would always be a work in process, since you didn’t have powers, but you made headway. It made it a lot easier to talk to him when he was guarding you.
Tony took you out for breakfast on the morning of your birthday. He took you to the same restaurant every year, which was adorable and showed he cared. You also went to the arcade and the indoor amusement park in the mall, which was also tradition. You had a feeling Loki was sad that he couldn’t spend the entire day with you, but he was glad you were enjoying the day with your uncle. He would see you that evening for your party.
Your birthday was also one of the days each year that you went to the cemetery to visit your parents. You brought flowers to their grave and told them everything you had been up to since the last time you had been to visit. Tony stood nearby, but out of earshot. This was another tradition. You couldn’t actually talk to your parents anymore, or get advice from them, but you liked thinking that they were watching over you, and it made you feel better to talk to their graves, talk to them like they could hear and answer. So you told them all about Loki and how much fun you were having. You told your mom how you had chosen to date your best friend, just like she always said you should. You told your dad how he was a perfect gentleman and how he would be able to find no fault in Loki’s behavior towards you. You told them both that you were careful, even living with the supers, and how much you loved them and you would try to come visit them again soon. You promised to bring Loki to come meet them, so they could interrogate him for themselves.
With bittersweet tears, you went to Tony’s spot. He wrapped you in a hug. “You ok, kid?” he asked as he hugged you too tightly. This was hard for him too, though he held it together better for your sake.
You nodded against his chest.  Tony wasn’t big on hugs, but he made an exception for you.  Especially today.
“I just miss them,” you told him, rubbing the tears from your eyes. He kissed the top of your head.
“I know. I do too,” he held you for another minute. “Do you mind if you tell them goodbye?” he asked. You shook your head and waited for him to say a few words to their graves. He didn’t talk to them like you did, but he always said something before you left. Your dad was his brother after all, you weren’t surprised he missed them too.
You felt phantom arms wrap around you while you watched Tony. The arms were cool, just like their owner. You weren’t surprised he had found out what you were up to.  “Thank you, Loki,” you whispered, knowing his touch even when he wasn’t really there. “I’m ok. I’ll see you soon.” He was too far to talk to you telepathically safely, apparently he risked hurting you if he used to much power to make the connection, so he didn’t do it unless you were in fairly close proximity already.
Tony took you for ice cream to try make you smile again before you went back to the tower to spend the evening with your super family.
Loki hugged you the second you walked through the door of the tower. “Are you ok?” he asked, concerned. “You were crying,” he whispered in your ear.  He didn’t usually spy, but he must’ve felt your emotions leak through.
“We went to visit my parents,” you explained softly. He nodded his understanding and pressed a kiss to your hair, comforting you.
Almost immediately afterwards, the festivities began. There was a huge sign reading “Happy 18th Birthday!” And stupid party hats all around.  There was cake, pizza, and even more ice cream. All of the supers stopped by to wish you a happy birthday and add their donations to the huge pile of presents in front of you. You opened them to find mostly books, which you thanked everyone for.  Though Nat got you a new taser, Clint decided you needed a bow and arrow set that you’d never use, Bruce got you some scary book about science he insisted helped him through med school.  The original Avengers tried their best, even though you rarely saw them.
The last present came from Loki. The tiny familiar teal box appeared in his hand. You had seen your dad give your mom gifts in those boxes all the time growing up. There was only one store in the universe you knew of that used that particular shade of blue in their gift wrapping. And no way that Loki should have been able to afford anything from there.  “Happy birthday, darling,” he told you.
You took the box from him, surprised. “Thank you,” you replied automatically. You opened the box to find a gorgeous silver bracelet with black and green gems in it. There was also a gift receipt in the box, showing that Loki had actually bought the bracelet instead of conjuring it. You wouldn’t have minded if he conjured it, but you knew it was extra special to him for actually buying it. He had gone and done the thing the Midgardian way.  “It’s gorgeous,” you told him as you pulled the bracelet out of the box and clasped it around your wrist. “I love it!” you jumped up and hugged him, wrapping your arms tightly around his neck. “And I love you,” you whispered in his ear. You hadn’t been brave enough to say the words until then.
“You are most welcome, my darling,” he replied. You kissed him deeply to catcalls from your family.
“Come on! Time for movies!” one of the teens called. You relocated the party to the common room where the movie was already set up.
“Sorry,” you told Loki. “It’s tradition. Superhero Musical followed by the first Avengers movie.” He smiled.
“That is nothing to be sorry for. They love you, my dear, and want to spend time with you, as do I,” you grinned and sat on the loveseat with Loki, in the place of honor directly in front of the TV. You sang your way through the musical with your friends and family around you. Loki even tried to join in for the duet, but he hadn’t memorized all of the words yet. You applauded him for trying, though.
Part of the way through the Avengers movie, Wanda, who had the remote, paused the movie and looked directly at Loki. The heads of everyone else turned to him as well. “Why are they staring at me?” Loki asked you.
You erupted into laughter. “They want you to say the line,” you explained. You weren’t surprised this was happening, especially after the news story everyone saw confusing him for the actor in the movie.
“Say the line!” the supers called. “Say the line! Say the line! Say the line!” the words became a chant. You laughed even harder.
“They’re not going to stop until you say the line,” you told Loki over the chanting. He sighed and rolled his eyes. With his put-upon expression he held up a hand to quiet the chant. The room fell silent immediately.
“I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose,” he intoned in the most dull dry monotone possible. The crowd groaned at him and started throwing popcorn and other small harmless object at him. You shrieked and held your arms up in front of you to deflect the projectiles. Not everyone had good aim and didn’t care if they hit you in collateral damage.
“Do it right!” they complained.
He sighed again, but you saw the glint in his eyes. He was pleased and enjoying himself. He held up his hand again. He stood, and then stepped up onto the coffee table. In the same movement, his clothing changed to an exact replica of the character’s including the golden horned helmet.
“I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose. Kneel before me,” he hesitated for a moment. “I said KNEEL!” he bellowed. You burst out laughing at the cheers of the crowd. A few of them actually knelt, while the rest applauded his rendition. Loki rejoined you on the couch, not bothering to change his clothes back to normal. You laughed and leaned over to give him a kiss.
After the movie, Loki walked you up to your suite. After you’d hugged your friends and your uncle one last time and thanked them all for a wonderful birthday. “I have one other gift for you, darling. Though I did not wish to give it to you in front of the others,” Loki told you when you were safely away from the others.
“Loki, you shouldn’t have,” you chided him. He had already done enough by getting you the bracelet. You knew it couldn’t have been cheap, not when it came from that jewelry store.
He moved his hands and a box appeared in them, despite your protests.  He wasn’t going to give up no matter what you did, so you took the box and opened it to find a leather dagger sheath.  An empty leather dagger sheath.  That seemed like a strange gift and you raised an eyebrow at Loki when you looked up at him.
“It is enchanted,” he explained. “Anytime you reach for a dagger from it, one will be there. You need never be without a weapon again,” he added.
“Thank you.  That’s amazing!” you told him. You tried it, attempting to pull a dagger from the empty sheath. One appeared and you were able to pull it from the sheath. You wondered how much work had gone in to making such a thing, but you had a feeling you would never find out. That didn’t make it any less fantastic.
You felt a lot safer knowing you’d always have a weapon.
“Did you have a good birthday?” he asked you once you were curled up on the couch in your sittingroom together. You nodded.
“It was perfect,” you replied.
You got to spend the last moments of the day enjoying kisses from your boyfriend.

Chapter 5 - Dodgy
If someone had told her yesterday that she’d be having fun in a day’s time, she might have laughed in their face. Fun just wasn’t something she had much of these days.
Given the establishment served booze in abundance and she was regrettably under the legal drinking age, Shego had to find her own unconventional way in. The risk was frivolous and made her a touch uneasy, but she was proud of herself nonetheless once she was inside where she turned her focus to searching for Dr. Drakken and his goons.
The casino was like some kind of adult’s Pizza Party-Torium, if the arcade was populated by slot machines and the playground was swapped for table games and a dazzling fountain. The joint was crowded and noisy, and with a funk in the air that made her nose scrunch just as it did at JP Bearymore’s.
Before second thoughts could undermine her resolve, Dr. Drakken had reappeared by her side to tow her by an elbow to where his crew had gathered.
The henchmen were found squandering resources on hypnotic slot machines. Without their jumpsuits, Shego wouldn’t have recognized the trio blending in among the guests. They greeted Dr. Drakken with warm regard despite his withering scowl, and the goons flashed impish smirks when they noticed Shego tagging along to his right.
She wouldn’t exactly call the blue man and his grunts friends, but she grew to enjoy the company of her unscrupulous new acquaintances over the evening. It was in the midst of the bunch that she concluded that for the first time in months, maybe all year, she was having fun – and she wasn’t even obligated to.
Though Shego was too reluctant to openly admit it, it might as well have been written on her face. Once she relaxed and rolled with it, visiting the casino turned out to be a blast.
What little she had on hand had her apprehensive at first to actually put her money where her mouth was, and she tried not to come off nearly as surprised as the goons when she fared better than them. From there, they egged her on – bad influences, the whole lot of them – but she enjoyed the attention when they gave it. Encouragement, cheers, and sore-loser boos from the crew, along with the nice sum of cash stuffed into the utility pouch hidden beneath a pant leg, made the mischievous evening worth gambling with her safety on the rogue doctor. She’d won some and lost some, but she still came out ahead with surprisingly more than she could earn from a whole week of babysitting.
As they were leaving the casino for the evening, crossing the packed parking lot, she almost wondered aloud why she’d never gone to one before. Then she remembered about the whole deal with the age restriction and ID check, not to mention the victimless crime was such a moral grey area that the head of Team Go would rag on her hard if he ever found out. Suddenly opposing him made gambling all the more appealing. It may just be her downfall that there were more thrilling things than money she was betting with.
No sooner had her bossy big brother invaded her thoughts did an arm land heavily around her shoulders, making her forget all about him. Shego would have shoved the tipsy man away if she weren’t in such an amicable mood herself for a change, and she even tried to glare up at Dr. Drakken, but his big crooked smile as he bantered with his goons made her forget to frown.
Whatever trouble she was getting herself into, at least she was enjoying it in the moment. Betting on the strange doctor might not be so bad.
A hoot from one of the henchmen was enough to pull her attention off the blue man beside her. “I like this one, boss!” shouted the drunken goon as he stumbled ungracefully backwards towards the getaway car. “Can we keep her?”
If she weren’t in public, she might have sent a fireball at his heels to remind him she wasn’t their new pet. She almost did anyway – because screw secret identities.
There was a low chuckle from the man beside her then. “I sure hope so,” Dr. Drakken muttered contentedly, and Shego wasn’t sure if he was too buzzed to realize he wasn’t speaking loud enough for the henchman, if he was addressing her alone, or if he was just thinking out loud.
He cleared his throat suddenly and let go, perhaps finally realizing that he’d hung on for too long or that putting an arm around the dangerous young lady in the first place was trying his luck by crossing a line. Either way, Shego took the chance to sidestep to put some much-needed space between them.
“Anyhoozeydoozey, there’s karaoke tonight at the restaurant across from the lodge,” he announced, making a peculiar attempt to entice her as he battled the grin off his face. “Why don’t you come to dinner with us? My treat.”
It was late enough to be thinking of dinner?
Shego looked up, discovering to her dismay that the sky was slipping into twilight. Street lights were already on. She bit her lip to stifle a curse and force back a twinge of guilt for not meeting the boys when she should have. But it was too late now. Way too late. Bedtime too late.
She was already doomed to be lectured later for putting off her responsibilities. So, reluctant to go home once again, she gave Dr. Drakken a nonchalant shrug. “I could eat.” She was famished anyway.
“Splendid. Now – who’s the designated driver again?” he called out dumbly to his bumbling henchmen as they all gathered around the rig. He grunted his dissatisfaction when they glanced between each other, offering him no answer.
Of course all four of the men had indulged, unwittingly drinking themselves a bit silly, though the henchmen silliest of all. Shego meanwhile had been too preoccupied and cautious to join in, not to mention under-aged. Thankfully the chief was aware enough of the fact that he himself may be just a touch too tipsy to get behind a wheel.
So Shego rolled her eyes and held out her hand for the keys. Dr. Drakken studied her open palm for a moment before shrugging and tossing them at her.
As the driver for the evening, she announced she had reign over the radio. Before anyone could even think of singing along to the Top 40’s, one of the henchmen pleaded loudly, “Save the singing for the microphone!” To which she responded with a small blast of lukewarm plasma, shot over her shoulder at him to give him a mild zap.
Maybe being stuck in a car full of intoxicated criminals should have had her ill at ease, but she was remarkably comfortable with it. After the fiery warning, they remembered uphold a healthy respect. Given she’d already put three in their place yesterday, there was really only one she felt any need to worry about anyway. Which – as long as he didn’t brandish a gun again – she was certain she could handle him if he came to be a problem.
The restaurant was certainly no quieter than the ride had been, but there at least she excused the clamor as it wasn’t directly in her ears. The joint was busy and a tad rambunctious, but a table for five was found near a stage that had the rogue doctor twisted in his seat to fixate on.
Burgers were ordered and there was a round of beer that completely missed Shego, but she didn’t mind being left out as the youngest of the henchmen, somewhat of a runt, was seated conveniently next to her and didn’t mind letting her sneak a sip when curiosity got to be too much. She decided to stick to her soft drink after all.
Karaoke made it hard to eat when her focus was continually drawn up to the stage, and she had to wonder what sick satisfaction the grinning Dr. Drakken found in watching it unfold. Some performances were dares and others were premeditated, but just watching strangers go up on the small stage to sing their hearts out made Shego cringe inwardly with secondhand embarrassment.
When a pair of henchmen went up eagerly for a duet, Shego was inclined to duck her head, borderline ashamed to be associated with them. She leaned over to the goon beside her, whose name she hadn’t yet caught, and wryly wondered if they were lovers or brothers. Not that it mattered to her either way, but he confirmed them to be siblings goofing off.
All but physically booting his men from it, Dr. Drakken was keen to take the stage next and that was somehow even worse. Inhibitions lax from alcohol, the blue man was enthralled for his turn in the limelight, whereas Shego was undeniably mortified to be seen in his company now that the tipsy imbecile was swaying on the platform, his jacket tied around his waist and dress shirt having come untucked. His face was flushed an odd shade of purple and he beamed from ear to ear.
As per his request – or rather, command – his henchmen took the music choice into their own hands to surprise him.
When the tune began, Shego found it too hard to nibble uncomfortably at her fries anymore. She heaved an apathetic sigh before hiding her face in her arms on the table instead, anticipating the worse case of second-hand embarrassment yet. She couldn’t watch him crash and burn. She even considered walking out to spare herself, but a gross curiosity kept her anchored.
The henchman beside her elbowed her gently, snickering, “You’d be surprised. The boss ain’t that bad.”
Shego shook her head in her arms. There was no way some dopey mullet-head could pull off We Didn’t Start The Fire. She straight up refused to believe it.
But then he began reciting lines in time with grainy filtered audio, without a stutter or slur. She was staring incredulously up at him by DiMaggio. The brazen doctor threw himself into it with humiliating vigor, doing a little jig on the spot to top it off. She was torn between watching the grinning fool and looking for whatever monitor was feeding him the lines, further bewildered to realize he must have been belting it out rapid-fire from memory as he didn’t spare a single glance to the aid. If he slipped up, she didn’t notice.
Realizing the restaurant had fallen otherwise quiet – cripes, people were listening to him – she felt a new wave of discontent. She didn’t notice she was gawping until the henchman beside her lifted her chin to shut mouth, and he was brusquely shoved out of his chair in turn. She wasn’t sure what to make of the blue man before, and she was even more unsure now.
“How?” she hissed to the henchman climbing back into his seat next to her.
The goon shrugged and answered as if it were obvious, “He’s a mad genius.”
“But is he human?” She recalled being asked earlier if she was human, so maybe…maybe he wasn’t. It was something to ponder. She didn’t have long to entertain the ridiculous notion.
A henchman now seated on her other side spoke up. “We wonder that too sometimes,” he admitted in a chuckle.
As the song came to an end, Dr. Drakken’s hazy stare fell painfully obviously on her. She was still frozen in place when it was over, little doubt in her mind he was something special, but what remained to be seen. The doctor only glanced away for a moment to acknowledge the applause he received, and then beckoned her forward with a finger and a smirk that grew into a devilish grin.
She didn’t have a chance to dismiss the summons.
Suddenly she was being hoisted off her feet by the henchmen on either side of her and deposited on the stage.
“You’re up, missy,” Dr. Drakken cooed, chuckling deviously as he gestured her toward the spotlight.
Eyes flying wide, she planted her feet to resist, but the henchmen’s hands were at her back, pushing her toward their freak ringleader. “No – I don’t – I don’t sing,” she hissed in protest.
“Balderdash. Everyone participates on karaoke night,” he insisted, a little too inebriated at present to realize he was pushing his luck.
Shego strained to control herself, grinding out, “Not me. Watching you guys is enough participation.”
His guiding arm behind the back turned into a hold around the waist to keep her from evading the dreaded spotlight. If he hadn’t crossed a line before at the casino by leaning on her for support, then he sure as hell was now. “Oh, we can find something for you,” he assured, almost pleading. “Don’t be a pill.”
The spell was broken. Shego wasn’t charmed anymore.
Dr. Drakken was something alright – he might be a lot of things – and right now one of those things was a jackass.
Without a second thought, she elbowed him hard in the stomach. “I said no!” she spat as the winded man doubled over, and she made a hasty getaway before his goons could dive for her.
Once outside, Shilo broke into a run.
Only a couple blocks away, she slowed to a stomp, until finally she threw herself down on the curb to let the cool night air sap the rest of the flustered heat from her face. She ran her fingers through her unkempt hair, breathing deep, and picked out some tangles as she glared ahead at the quivering leaves of the trees across the street.
Skipping town with the strange doctor didn’t sound quite so appealing now. She didn’t exist for anyone’s entertainment, and she shuddered to think of what else might be expected of her. Boundaries would definitely need to be set, and if he couldn’t accept her terms, then she’d just have to bust him, because she wasn’t to be toyed with.
At this very moment though, she wasn’t sure what trouble she’d just gotten herself into by acting out against the man. If he was really a seriously bad guy like he claimed, then she couldn’t put it past him to do something brash and terrible and villainous.
Shilo hugged her knees and contemplated which direction was home. She still wasn’t looking forward to seeing her family tonight, but she’d just have to accept that as the inevitable. At least there, she could rest easy with the knowledge they wouldn’t murder her for noncompliance, or enact vengeance in some way, or do anything else purposefully harmful.
She sighed heavily and picked herself up, arms wrapped around herself as she weighed her options – assuming there was ever an option to begin with.
If striking the man was a deal-breaker, then she didn’t need to serve under someone who expected her not to fight back, especially if fighting was in her job description. She hoped that wasn’t the case. Back home, she would only continue to be restricted and heavily burdened and kept on a short leash – probably even shorter than ever, should they catch wind of her recent transgressions. If Dr. Drakken’s promises turned out empty, she could always go home to make amends. A little rebellious stint wouldn’t hurt.
Apologies tasted terrible, but somehow the other option was even less savory.
She wasn’t ready to go home tonight, but she wasn’t ready to accept any deals either. Shilo’s feet were heavy as she carried herself back to the diner anyway. She decided going back inside would be pushing her threshold for humiliation, so she found herself a place to wait: the passenger seat of the SUV. She couldn’t be sure if she was relieved to find it unlocked or not.
Amidst the monotony of waiting, the last thing she wanted was for fatigue to catch up to her, but that was a losing battle. She found it hard to fight to stay awake, watching the passenger mirror for Dr. Drakken or the goons to come stumbling out, but her heavy eyelids slipped shut and she was out for the count before she knew what hit her.
Next thing she knew, she was being shaken awake. She blinked blearily at the dash and stifled a yawn.
“Sheesh, you’re a lightweight,” came a voice from the darkness nearby that was becoming too familiar too quickly. He barked laughter. “Half a beer and you black out!”
Her reply was almost automatic. “It was only a sip,” she grumbled, as if that helped her case.
She blinked away the fog as she got her bearings, and she came to the rapid realization of exactly where she was – and who was next to her – and it came back to her like a blow to her own stomach just what she’d done do him earlier. As of yet there seemed to be no consequence, but she was too on edge by other factors to be relieved, let alone care she wasn’t dead yet.
“Dude!” she hissed in alarm, involuntarily ducking to hide. The windows were tinted, it was dark, and there was no one in sight – but that didn’t alleviate her distress. “You can’t just be showing up in front of my house like this! Are you trying to get me in trouble?” she complained. Maybe this was it – how he got his payback – by getting her grounded – nevermind that she was nineteen. That was underhanded.
Dr. Drakken scoffed. “Oh, I’m sorry. I thought you were a rebel. Was I mistaken?” he wondered wryly, taking a moment of smug satisfaction at her panic. “Just say the word, and you can forget all about curfews and being put in the corner,” he reminded. She was silent, but she wasn’t going anywhere yet. “Well, Shego? Are you ready? I can keep driving.”
“This again?” she retorted in exasperation, snapping her glare back at him.
“Yes, ‘this again.’” The lights of the dash glinted off his spectacles but the knit of his brow gave away the impatient scowl he fixed her in.
Shego groaned and rubbed her eyes. She was distantly relieved he didn’t seem to be too mad at her for earlier, but the relief left her quickly. “Not yet,” she said, turning her miserable gaze upon her dark home. The only light on was the porch light. The illuminated clock on the car radio told her it was half past midnight, which wasn’t as late as last night, but it was late enough. She hoped everyone was asleep this time since no one was storming out to confront her yet.
She unwillingly popped open the door, watching for lights to flick on in the house and feeling more reluctant than ever to go inside. She couldn’t shake the instilled dread of what was awaiting her. More of the same-ol’ same-ol’ drudgery and bullshit rules and smothering. So even when she slipped out, déjà vu crossed her mind as she once again debated on jumping right back in vehicle.
She turned to face the driver, giving herself another moment to act on a whim and never look back.
“I can’t hang around forever,” Dr. Drakken warned as she hesitated there. “Through the weekend at the most, but then I’m out of here. So make up your mind soon.”
Arms crossing, Shego cocked her hip and raised her brow at him. Given the pressure, she wasn’t so sure if she wanted to give him the satisfaction of getting back in his rig now. It was technically only Friday now, so she still had a few days if he’d just be patient. “You got what you came to Go City for, so why stay?” she wondered. “You’re starting to look desperate.”
Dr. Drakken looked her over with an analytical stare. She swore she saw him grimace in the dim blue glow of the dash.
He gnashed his teeth as if chewing on his words before grunting. “So I have a new objective!” he spat out, almost defensively so. His mask was cracking and something less than confident was showing through. He was starting to blather. “I have a good feeling about you, and I can see how you’re not sure about me, but realize you can betray me just as easily as I you. You’re not the only one taking risks here.” His fingers drummed on the wheel.
Shego narrowed her eyes at him. “I’m the objective,” she gathered.
“Affirmative,” grumbled Dr. Drakken. She saw him swallow and frown deeper.
Acting on a whim, she didn’t give herself time to think twice. She should have known better. She climbed back into the rig, even though she knew she wasn’t leaving tonight, and she was kneeling in the passenger seat before she could consider how badly this could backfire or any consequences at all, but momentum alone wasn’t enough to carry her through it.
The startled driver jerked back when she grabbed for his jaw, and he made a noise of annoyance as she made the man face her. She had meant to seek affirmation some other way – affirmation he wasn’t a creep – affirmation she wasn’t the objective in some convoluted sleazy trick – but she didn’t even come close to so much as willing herself to land a chaste peck before she halted. She wasn’t sure what sort of reaction she’d expected, but the doctor was leaning away against the door, pushing her back to keep her at arm’s length with his palms at her shoulders. A grimace twisted his face. It served as a clear enough answer, but cold feet and a rebuff weren’t what gave her pause now.
He certainly hadn’t been expecting an advance, and he wasn’t expecting her to snatch his spectacles off his nose either. Shego she still gripped his jaw in one hand as she studied his face in the half-light.
“You’re familiar,” slipped out of her mouth as her attention was drawn to the scar beneath his eye.
“Funny. I don’t get that often,” he said coldly.
She still wasn’t sure what to make of him. Maybe she’d never know. Maybe she should let it be a mystery. For now, at least.
Dr. Drakken coughed into his fist. “I see we’ll have to discuss boundaries and appropriate conduct later,” he uttered tersely, a small quiver of unease in his voice as he carefully removed her clutch from his face. He plucked his glasses back from her fingers.
The sudden pang of rejection was uncalled for, and it almost incited her temper, but instead it fanned the heat of humiliation in her face.
Shego withdrew abruptly, cheeks hot and palms clammy as she awkwardly scrambled backwards out of the rig. She hoped she wasn’t blushing too noticeably, because the failed advance on the weird man definitely made up for not joining in for karaoke. There were worse outcomes, so she decided to count her blessings.
“Um…goodnight,” she muttered sheepishly in lieu of a farewell.
He nodded. “You too.”
Almost as soon as she’d shut the door, the engine revved and off into the night he went, leaving Shilo alone to her flustered thoughts on the curb.
She drew a deep breath to soothe herself, but it didn’t do much good. She might still have her family to face, but at least she was a little more sure now that the doctor’s motives might be sketchy, but at least they weren’t sleazy. He’d had his chances to take advantage of her or do any number of contemptible things if he’d wanted. It wasn’t much evidence, but it was enough for her to put a little faith in the man.
Whatever brand of evil he was selling was a little more appealing now.
A smile spread across Shilo’s face as a flicker of excitement lit in her and began to burn.
Even if the rogue doctor never amounted to more than a mediocre crook, he still offered her a way out, a way that went against everything she’d been obligated to defend for the past four years. Just the knowledge that she wouldn’t have to strike out alone was encouraging. Her talents, her cursed powers, were wanted , maybe even needed, for something bigger than local hero work now, and if he really had his weird little heart set on taking over the world, as she knew plenty of villains were – well, then, that was all the more challenge.
This could be fun.
That rebellious little fire was snuffed out to a dormant state the instant she recognized a telltale melodramatic throat clearing behind her. She didn’t mean to spin around quite so fast, hair whipping around her shoulders. Her startled gaze landed on Milo, who’d been hovering just behind her, and she glared harshly at him as she drew upon anger to override any embarrassment or surprise.
“How long have you been standing there?” she snapped urgently.
The eavesdropper scoffed and crossed his arms. “Long enough,” he sneered. “Tramp.”
Shilo raised her warm hand in threat, but he didn’t back down. “Have you forgotten what it feels like to be slapped by me already, or do you need a reminder?” Oh, how badly she longed to wipe the look off his face.
“Beat on me all you want, I’m still telling Dad about your secret boyfriend.” As if their father had any say in the matter.
She recoiled nonetheless and played it off. “Uh, ew? As if. The guy’s got a mullet,” she dismissed with an uneasy scoff. She shoved past him and tried to ignore the mocking kissy faces he made after her.
“Just wait until he finds out! He’s gonna love this,” her ropy brother jeered after her, bouncing at her heels as Shilo strode across the lawn to the porch.
She restrained another impulse to smack him, and considered a well-aimed kick below the belt might shut him up longer. If he pressed his luck any further, she just might. “My friends are none of Dad’s business,” she seethed quietly. What was the worse he could do at this point? Kick her out?
Milo dropped his voice as well as they neared the house. “Oh, yeah it is – you know the saying! His roof, his rules,” he said, and Shilo mouthed the mantra along with him with a roll of her eyes. Their father could be such a hard-ass at times, even Milo was whispering to avoid his wrath tonight.
“Well, Dad won’t have to worry about it for long,” she whispered back gravely. “What he doesn’t know won’t kill him.”
“About that—,” Milo piped, only to clam up suddenly.
Just then, Hugo stepped in front of her, taking up almost the entire doorway with his broad shoulders, barring her entry. He’d obviously been standing just inside, probably also eavesdropping as best he could from his hiding place. “You were serious?” he uttered, mouth agape and eyes huge. “You’re actually moving out? With that – that guy?” He gestured toward the road incredulously.
“Not just a guy – a man!” hissed Milo in a rising pitch. “At least as old as Dad! I think I saw grey hair.” He looked to Shilo then and shrank back in disgust, shuddering with a finger pointed down his throat even as he chuckled.
Her face was scorching hot and she had to clutch her fists lest they see her palms sparking. She was on the verge of losing her cool. “You are so far off, it’s not even funny,” she defended, though she knew she wasn’t convincing. “He’s only in his twenties.” Mid to late twenties, but they didn’t have to know that detail.
Her lavender sibling was still appalled. “And you smooched! Nasty!” he blurted. Interesting talk coming from a freshmen actively aiming for first base.
“Did not!” Shilo spat at him, and gave him a rough shove that almost knocked him down. This was worsening by the second, and she could do little more than hide behind a hand until her hulking brother cleared the doorway, which didn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.
“You what?” Hugo just about boomed for the whole neighborhood to hear. The overprotective head honcho of Team Go stepped onto the porch, pushing up a sleeve of his pajamas as his look of alarm gave way to a hostile glare. Shilo trying to push him back into the house was about as effective as trying to push over a tree of equal girth, which was to say impossible for the likes of her.
“Look, whatever you’re thinking, stop thinking it,” she demanded, almost pleaded.
“That’s a predator if I’ve ever seen one,” Milo retorted in exasperation, definitely not helping the situation.
“Come off it. There’s nothing going on,” she fibbed. “He’s cool. We just talked – about music and stuff.” Put on the spot, her lies were transparent.
“Whatever he’s promising you, don’t buy that baloney for a second,” warned Hugo, and she winced.
She was buying it and they knew it, even if they didn’t know what it was yet.
Her big brother took her by the shoulders to stand her upright and she strained to glare around him to the open door. “Shi, I would love nothing more than to support you even if I don’t always agree with your decisions, but be reasonable – you can’t move in with a stranger you just met and who we’ve never even met. It’s – it’s just not right,” he said, harsh tone faltering back to concern.
“I said that I’m moving out, not that moving in with him,” she spat, anger at his assumptions growing ever hotter. Even if they were probably spot-on.
Hugo shook his head but persisted. “I don’t like what’s going on. You’ve been out past midnight two nights in a row, and you even failed to show up for lessons with the twins. They were crying because you let them down.”
Shilo batted his big paws away and took a hasty step back. She didn’t like stab of guilt she felt, but she disliked head games even more.
At the sound of a familiar hum drawing closer and distant gleam of black, she felt a confidence boost. “You’ll just have to tutor them yourself, because I can’t take much more of you guys,” she snarled vehemently. “Have you ever stopped to consider I might be leaving because you’re such a control freak?”
The herculean man flinched back, sputtering objection, “I’m not trying to control you!” Typical thickheaded Hugo, he willingly forgot ever pressuring her into forming a superhero team to fulfill his own daydreams, or that he was in part to blame for sticking her with raising twins because it was such a woman’s job, to the point she’d been practically a stay-at-home mom since the age of fifteen. He seemed to forget as well that because of his secret-identity obsession, Shilo only had a small handful of acquaintances she might call friends, who she only got to see in school, none of which she’d hung out with since graduating, and it was his alliance with Global Justice that was to blame for the curfew and a buddy system she wasn’t the only one failing to abide by.
When Hugo reached out to grab her again, she took a hasty step back to dodge him. “We all have wants and desires,” he said coolly as if to pacify, but he was floundering, “but we need to put our commitments first. You didn’t even call to say you wouldn’t be coming. We were worried about you!”
His protests grew louder as she backed away down the steps. Creeping into view, she could see the familiar black vehicle’s cautious approach. Dr. Drakken had circled the block. Was it just to stalk her? She shook her head, deciding at this point, she didn’t care if he was. She’d rather be in the company of that stalker than here right now. He was a blessing in disguise.
“You’re telling me who I can and can’t see, what I can and can’t do, and what and when you want me to do things that should be your responsibility too. Sounds a little controlling to me!” Shilo spat up harshly at her brothers, namely Hugo. She turned on her heel to jump down the last two steps. “I’m done – consider me gone. Have a nice life.” Whether it was an empty threat or the real deal, she’d decide later, but the stunning effect bought her precious time.
Not daring to give her brothers a chance to stop her, to pull her back, she broke into a run, sprinting across the lawn before they could react or call out for her. She darted into the street, and Dr. Drakken had barely slammed on the breaks when she grabbed the door and threw herself inside.
When the young men on the porch recovered from their surprise and began to chase after her, Dr. Drakken burned rubber without exchanging a word or even a glance, only taking the hint to get them out of there lickety-split. He sped down the vacant neighborhood roads and only slowed once he met traffic, but her brothers were left in their dust.
“Why’d you come back?” Shego demanded coldly as they fell into line with the lazy stream of traffic. She leaned her head against the window, dismally staring out at the darkened storefronts.
“Well, it’s not because I missed you,” snorted Dr. Drakken. “I just thought maybe you could use a second chance tonight.” He cast a look over to her and grimaced, probably because she hadn’t picked up anything in the time he’d circled the block. He might as well have never dropped her off at all. All it did was stir up trouble. He stifled a groan. “But I see you’re not ready yet,” he noted. “Are you still unsure?”
“I’ll grab my stuff tomorrow when everyone’s gone,” Shego promptly answered. She rubbed her temple miserably, a headache beginning to rag at her. “I just need get away tonight. You can just drop me off anywhere. I’ll find somewhere to wait it out.”
Shego wouldn’t admit it, and she didn’t thank him, but she appreciated he didn’t take the suggestion.

Being Broken
My first fic with this pairing, hope you like it
----------
Inasa felt tongue tied at the thought of asking Shouto out for an actual date. There he was, in all his good looking glory, wearing a pair of black pants and a navy blue long sleeved shirt, standing right in front of him and...he couldn't form the words he so desperately wanted to say. It didn't help that he had rolled up his sleeves to his elbows exposing his muscular forearms. He was attracted to him for sure and that doubled with the frustration of being hesitant made him want to throw his head into the ground continuously.
They had starting hanging out together soon after they each had received their provisional licenses. It took a little convincing from Inasa to get Todoroki to even agree to begin with, but he was eventually able to wear down Shouto's defenses, their friendship having grown well into their second year at school.
The red and white haired male had agreed to accompany Inasa to the cinema to watch one of the new romantic comedy movies that recently came out. Shouto wasn't one for comedies unless it was a romantic comedy, being his guilty pleasure, that he hadn't told anyone about. He considered himself a hopeless romantic. He never believed he’d ever be able to have that for himself, so he had to indulge in these fantasies.
Shouto turned to Inasa who looked as if he was having his own internal struggle and he sighed. Their movie had ended about ten minutes ago, now they were currently standing outside the theater.
“Inasa?”
“Hm?” The wind quirk user snapped dramatically to attention. “Yes Todoroki?!” He bellowed and Shouto cringed at his loud voice.
“Uh, what now?”
Inasa scratched the back of his head and smiled. “Have you ever been to an arcade?”

“Wow, you’re really good at this!” Inasa laughed as Shouto won yet another prize from the crane machine.
"I guess so, but now what do I do with them." Shouto asked as he held up three different plush dolls, the All Might, small sloth and a dalmatian puppy nestled in his arms.
"Give them to your friends."
Shouto bit his lip and grabbed the sloth, which was a brown with a white belly and handed it to Inasa. The taller male looked at him confusedly.
"For me?"
"Well you are one of my friends, aren't you?"
Inasa beamed and took the plush from Shouto, grinning like a maniac.
"I think I'll name him Todoroki! Or maybe Shouto? Or All Might? Mini Inasa?" He rubbed his jaw and thought about it.
The dual quirk user almost laughed at how seriously he was taking this but he managed to tame it down before it slipped passed his lips.
"Todo!" Inasa snapped his fingers. "His name will be Todo." He laughed heartily.
"You sure that's the name you want?" Shouto questioned with a brow raised.
"Of course-" Something caught Inasa's eye as he cut off his sentence and turned to the object. "A photo-booth?! Todoroki, come on we gotta do it!"
"Uh." Shouto cringed. "I don't really care for pictures." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Please!" He placed his hands together and bowed. "Just this one time."
Biting his lip with indecision, he sighed with defeat and giving in to Inasa's request.
"Alright."
"Yes!"
Inasa grabbed him by the hand and pulled him into the photo-booth. Squeezing tightly against Shouto's side, Inasa fed the money into the machine, smiling widely when he chose the three pose picture option.
Quickly wrapping an arm around Shouto's shoulder, the surprised look set on his face as Inasa held up a peace sign, the first picture snapped. Shouto shook off his shock at being so close to Inasa.
"Come on next pose!" Inasa held up his hands, holding them out like claws and revealing his teeth. Inasa nudged Shouto before the red and white haired male mimicked his actions.
The last pose came and a small smile appeared on Shouto's lips, Inasa grinned and hugged him completing the final photo.
Inasa quickly stood, watching as two copies of their photo strip popped out of the bottom of the machine. Snatching them up, he passed one to his companion who took it with gratitude.
"These are awesome!" He bolstered. "Thank you for doing that with me, I know part of you probably felt a little uncomfortable."
"Its fine, it was...fun." Shouto gave a subtle smile and Inasa matched it with his own.
Inasa's heart sped up into overdrive at his friends smile. If there was ever a time he was glad to be alive, now was it. Shouto's smile was rare, so he was glad he was able to put it there. It was then that he now had a plan, but he would need the help of one of Todoroki’s friends. He was sure Todoroki felt the same way, or at least he had hoped that he did. The signs were subtle but he saw them.
“Wanna grab a bite to eat?”
“Soba?”
Inasa laughed. “Anything you want!”
----------
Shouto returned to the dorms a few minutes before curfew, the All Might and Dalmatian plush tucked under his arm. Upon entering the common room, he was greeted with the sight of Kaminari and Kirishima in a heated debate with Sero and Bakugo over the status of a video game they were playing. He shook his head and wandered further into the room to spot Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka and Momo at at table.
Midoriya glanced up and grinned a wave him over. “Hey Todoroki!”
“Hey.” He paused at their table to see the monopoly game board. “Momo winning again?”
“Actually, Iida is.” Uraraka laughed at Momo’s huff.
“This game is not over!” She excitedly yelled. “I still have a chance.”
Shouto chuckled.
“Hey where’d you get that?”
Midoriya stared at the All Might plush.
“Hm, oh, I won it today at the arcade with Inasa.” He removed the All Might from under his arm and passed it over to Midoriya. “Here.”
“Huh?!” The green haired male hesitated. “B-b-but its yours! You should keep it.”
“It’s fine Midoriya, I already gave a plush to Inasa, besides I’m sure I can win more later on.”
“How many prizes did you win?” Iida asked.
“Just three, these two plus the one I gave Inasa.”
“Really?!” Uraraka whined. “I can never win off of those things and you go and win three of them with no problem.”
“Sorry?” Shouto shrugged.
“Did you have fun at least?” Momo cut in.
“Yeah, we saw a movie, went to the arcade and grabbed dinner at a small restaurant.”
“Oooh. Someone had a great date.”
That word gave Shouto pause. “It’s not a date.” And already he could feel the familar heat rising to his face.
“Suuuurrrrreee.” Uraraka teased.
“Whatever.” Shouto excused himself. “And since you want to make fun of me, this,” He gestured to the Dalmatian plush, “Is now going to belong to Momo.”
Momo laughed at Uraraka’s expression as she took the plush from his grip.
“No fair!”
Shouto walked away with a smirk as he pulled out his phone, not noticing the photo that fell from his pocket.
Uraraka was the first to it and she giggled at the photo. “They look so cute together!”
Momo took the photo strip from her and examined each of the three pictures. “Wow, you’re right.” She grinned. “Too bad Shouto is too dense to realize that Inasa is flirting with him.”
Midoriya having glanced over Momo’s shoulder, sighed. “You think one of us should-” His phone pinged signalling a new message on his facebook account. He raised a brow at the name.
Once he opened it, he nearly had a heart attack. “Well I guess Inasa is ready to take that next step.”
“Why do you say that?” Iida questioned.
“Because Inasa just asked me for help on the matter.”
----------
Shouto lay on his futon, his arm behind his head as he thought over the events that happened today. In reality, he really did like Inasa but...he deserved better than what Shouto had to offer. There was no way he could force Inasa to deal with the demons that he had dwelling within him. After they had started hanging out, Shouto had ended up telling him about his dad and how he grew up, even about how he had received his scar.
There were things that he had ended up telling Inasa that he hadn’t even told Midoriya. He trusted the wind user with a lot of his past, but he couldn’t put all of his baggage on Inasa’s shoulders. He deserved to be with someone who can make him happy, not a person who is prone to nightmares or being afraid to be touched too much on certain days.
He frowned as his thoughts consumed him, dampening his already souring mood.
“Just let it go Shouto.” He sighed and rolled over onto his side. “That kind of happiness just isn’t in your future.”
----------
The next day, which happened to be Saturday, Shouto decided he would go to visit his mom a little earlier than usual. He dressed in a dark gray button up shirt, the sleeves reaching his elbows unlike some of his longer sleeved shirts, a pair of black jeans and black and white converse.
He glanced at his phone and that it was nine-thirty, visiting hours weren’t until ten-thirty, so he had time to make some tea before he left.
When he entered the common room, everyone was already sitting in various places eating breakfast while whispering quietly to each other. They hushed one another when they spotted him and he quirked an eyebrow at that.
“Hey Todoroki!”
Shouto froze and spun around on his heel to see Inasa standing behind him with a huge grin on his face. He was wearing his usual white t-shirt and a pair of black jeans.
“I-nasa.” Shouto nearly stuttered. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to ask you a very important question.”
“O..kay?”
Inasa’s hands, which were conveniently placed behind his back, suddenly shot forward where a dozen red roses rested in his grasp.
“I wanted to ask you yesterday...”
A blue and gray eye widened in realization.
No, no, no, please no.
“I like you Shouto, a lot, so would you like to go out with me?”
Shouto’s breath seized in his chest as Inasa awaited his answer.
“I-Inasa....I-I can’t...” Shouto backed began backing away as Inasa’s grin turned into a sad frown. “I’m sorry.” And he left the dorm building.
Midoriya approached the wind user with a sad smile. “I’m sorry...I was sure he was going to say yes.”
“No.” Inasa stated. “There was something else wrong.”
“What do you mean?” Midoriya tilted his head.
“There’s was something off about the way he said it.” Inasa rubbed his jaw.
“Oh.” The green haired boy frowned, now that he thought about it, he was right.
“Can you hold on to these for me?” The black haired male passed over the rose as Momo approached and offered to make a vase.
“I might know where he went.” Momo brought up after setting the vase on the table.
“Hm.” The large male turned to her. “Wasn’t he supposed to see his mom today?”
“Yeah, but he might not go there after what happened just now.”
With a nod of agreement, he waited for her to continue speaking.
“Shouto and I do yoga together down by the bridge, he goes there sometimes when he’s stressed.”
“Alright, I’ll try there. Thank you.”
With a wave, he took off.
----------
Shouto muttered curses to himself as he created another round ice cube and chucked it across the water. The frustration was building up inside him and he didn’t have any other outlet except this.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen.” He uttered as he tossed yet another cube. “He must think I’m an asshole now.”
“I don’t think that.”
Had Shouto not been so frustrated, he was sure he would have jumped out of surprise.
“Did Momo tell you where to find me?”
He kept his back to the tall male who was now standing behind him.
“Does it matter?”
“Why did you follow me?” Shouto avoided his question with another of his own.
“Because I want to know what’s really on your mind.”
Frowning, Shouto turned to him. “Why?”
“I know something is up, and I think you should explain why you can’t be with me.”
Swallowing passed a lump in his throat, the red and white haired male turned his gaze to the water.
“Shouto.”
The gentle way that Inasa called his name him biting his lip.
“You...deserve better than this.” He gestured to himself.
“What?”
“To be honest, I gave up on finding that kind of happiness in my life.”
“Shouto...why?”
“Because I don’t want another person to be responsible for my problems.”
“But you shouldn’t have to face them alone.”
“Yes, I do.”
Inasa moved closer and placed a hand on the shorter male’s shoulder causing him to stiffen from the contact.
“I don’t want you to face them alone.”
Shouto ripped himself out of his grasp and turned to face him
“You honestly tell me you want to deal with my nightmares, with how I sometimes look over my shoulder waiting for the next person to hurt me, or how on certain days I feel so disgusted with myself that I don’t want to be touched?” He paused and took a shaky breath, he was getting emotional, his eyes stinging with unshed tears before he looked into Inasa’s eyes. “I’m broken Inasa...how...how could you possibly want me?”
A crestfallen expression crossed Inasa’s features before he spoke up. “I want you because of your dry sense of humor. I want you because you put up with my goofy and over bearing personality.” Inasa stepped forward before Shouto could pull away and hugged him tightly to his chest. “I want you because I don’t see someone who is broken, I see a beautiful person with a big heart who has done so much for his friends despite having grown up the way he did.”
Inasa pulled away from the hug to stare down at Shouto’s face. “And even on those days when you feel like you’re broken, I want to be there to help put you back together, no matter what it takes.”
Shouto’s eyes widened slightly as Inasa leaned down and he ducked his head away but Inasa grabbed his chin and guided him back up with little resistance.
“I-Inasa don’t...I-” He closed his eyes before a pair of soft lips touched his, a tear that managed to escape slid down his cheek prompted Inasa to reach out to brush it away.
When he pulled back he cupped Shouto’s cheeks in his hands. “I want you because you make my heart feel like it’s going to beat out of my chest.”
Shouto’s throat was tight with emotion.
“And there’s no force in the world that could make me let you go.” He smiled. “So...will you let us try this.” He gestured between the two of them.
The shorter male pulled away to wipe his cheeks as he nodded. “You’re too good for me.” He huffed out a laugh.
“Don’t ever think that way.” Inasa grabbed him in an embrace again, Shouto’s face pressing against his chest.
“Okay.” His arms came up to hug him back. “Thank you.”
The larger male squeezed him tighter at his soft spoken words, his heart going haywire. When he let him go, he lifted Shouto off his feet and held him level with his face.
“Mind if I kiss you again?”
“Please do.” Shouto whispered and their lips met in a chaste kiss.
Maybe I can be happy. I just needed the right person.
----------
Midoriya flinched as his phone vibrated on the table, surprising the other four students sitting with him. The green haired male raised his brows at the picture message notification from Inasa.
Upon opening it, he grinned at the image
“What is it?” Momo questioned with eagerness. “Is it Inasa?”
“Why are you grinning like that?” Uraraka asked .
Instead of answering, Midoriya turned his phone to show the picture to Momo, Iida, Uraraka and Jirou. The picture was of Shouto and Inasa, with the taller male kissing the other’s right cheek. Shouto’s right eyes was closed as a smile smile rested on his lips.
“Aww.” Momo cooed, happy for her friend. “I guess they talked it out.”
“I’m glad.” Midoriya smiled at Uraraka. “He deserves to be happy.” She smiled back and grabbed his hand.
“It just takes the right person.”
----------
“Hey, you still going to see your mom?”
Inasa and Shouto were walking through the down town area, deciding a walk would do them both some good.
“I want to, but look at me.” He pointed at his face. “I’m a mess.”
Inasa laughed loudly. “How about we grab lunch?” He offered. “Then, we’ll see how you feel afterwards.”
“You make food sound like it’s the solution for everything.”
“Hey! It could be!”
“Hm.” Shouto hummed.
“You doubt me?!”
When Shouto smirked, Inasa took it as a challenge and grabbed his hand before charging ahead. “I’ll prove it to you!”
----------
Shouto lay on his futon as he stared at the pictures he and Inasa had taken in the photo booth. Midoriya had given it back to him once he had come back after explaining that he had dropped it yesterday.
Once he had returned to the dorms though, he had been bombarded with questions and hugs from certain people. Although he didn’t go into full detail, his friends got the gist of what happened. Now he was awaiting Inasa’s text that would let him know he had made it home safely. The notification came through thirty minutes later.
Inasa: I made it home!
Shouto: Glad to hear it.
Inasa: I’ll call you tomorrow hot stuff.
Shouto blushed at his words and covered his face, suddenly glad he hadn’t decided to join the others in their game of playing scrabble.
Shouto: Okay, goodnight.
Inasa: Goodnight Shouto. And please call me if your nightmares start up okay? I don’t care what time it is. Promise?
Shouto: Okay...I promise...thank you.
Inasa: Anytime, now get some sleep.
Shouto: I will
Despite the last few nights being filled with his nightmares, Shout slept peacefully that night, instead dreaming about a tall male whose grin could rival the sun.

Your Name, Age (17+), & Timezone: Allie, 22 (almost 23 y'all!), AEDT
Your Birthday: 12th of April
Infinity Fox ‘Fin’ Waters turned 23 years old on May 9th. He’s a career criminal in Greensville. His face claim is Noah Centineo.
Admin Note: Now you just need to send in Fin’s URL, and remember to wait until his follow link is up to start posting!
Bio (10+ sentences, include brief history, personality, potential plots):
Maybe it’s his charming smile, his warm brown eyes, his dimples or his curly hair…but Fin has always had a way of making people believe he’s a better person than he is. Hailing from Daytona Beach Florida, his upbringing was unorthodox to say the least. Moving from motel to motel, his parents were out a lot of the time at work, and he was raised mostly by his older half brother, who was hardly the ideal parent. His growth was stunted for the first few years due to his diet of microwave pies, cereal and kraft mac n’ cheese.  Some parts were okay though. He was very close to his big brother and looked up to him for everything he needed to learn. He had happy memories of going to the arcade and using the tokens they found under the machines to play games. Once in a while they’d get lucky and their dad would give them five whole dollars to switch into tokens. When he was seven, his brother was given a beat up, used SEGA Genesis with Sonic The Hedgehog 2. They spent hours playing it until the game was complete. Then life got harder.  His big brother started mixing with the wrong crowd, and because he had no way of safely leaving his brother in their dirty motel room, Fin was dragged along. He followed his only example and very quickly started making the same mistakes. It started with a few runs for some older kids, but it quickly turned into being lookout while his brother and his 'friends’ stole cars. In Daytona Beach there was no shortage of beautiful ones, and they had people who would sell them on. It was by no means an honest living, but as Fin’s brother had snapped one day, it was enough to make sure they survived.  Little by little, Fin’s innocence began to die a slow death. It started with losing his empathy. Seeing a little girl cry as one of his friends kicked her sandcastle over at the beach. Nothing. He felt nothing. Then as he started to do the stealing himself…now that really was something. He understood finally what made his brother do it. The money was great, and the buzz was even greater. He could finally afford a lifestyle that didn’t make him feel like he needed to head to the food bank in order to get his next meal.  His older brother was far gone by this point. Desperation to be free, desperation to get away from the family he hated…they all contributed. Fin meanwhile had some semblance  of a life. He showed up to school twice a week, had friends, 'worked’ the days he didn’t go to school, and had found puppy love with a girl named Ashley–a gorgeous blonde with long legs and other assets he enjoyed…but that wasn’t to last either.  They’d been together almost a year when he discovered what his brother had done. It had been in retaliation for something stupid Fin had done that had embarrassed him in front of all of the guys he ran with. His girlfriend had slept with his big brother, and with that went the last of any emotion he had. His behavior got worse and worse. He gradually stopped showing up to school at all. He started getting more brazen with his auto theft, and started mugging people for the money in their pockets. Drugs were dirty and would be easy to put on him, he figured–but that was the only reason he didn’t go down that route.  Even though his relationship with his brother had been deteriorating over the years, their relationship was now at rock bottom. If they were in the same room together an all out fight would start, and now older they both had ways to make sure the fight was dirtier. They couldn’t stand each other. It all culminated the day they were arrested. They’d been caught trying to steal cars from the speedway (a terrible idea really), but the cops wanted Fin for a car weeks earlier that unbeknownst to him had a four year old girl in the backseat. Panicked, he dropped her off at the side of the road, and weeks later that same girl identified him in a line up.  Prison hardened Fin into the man he is today. Spiteful, vindictive and carefree, he had his sentence extended time after time for fighting, for mouthing off to guards and for the contraband he was moving for his friends on the outside. He went in a juvenile and came out just a day ago. Now aged twenty three, he’s looking for revenge. Revenge for the brother who ratted him out to the cops for a plea deal. Revenge for the move he’d had to endure to another cellblock after they got pulled apart fighting the day he got moved on his eighteenth birthday. Revenge for all he’d done.  And he was looking forward to seeing him suffer.
Activity (1-10): 7 (tash says it’s a 7)
Have you read the rules?:  removed
In the event that you leave, can we keep your biography for future use? Yeah nah Any comments/questions?: 'snickidoodles’ or brownies tash?
Sample( 2+ paragraphs):
“Waters!” the booming voice of Harley, the guard on his block, wasn’t enough to make Fin’s head lift from where he was reading his comic book. They were never calling for him over the intercom. They always meant his asshole brother. Who the fuck cared anymore. He’d been in this shithole almost seven years, and aside from the visit every other month he got from his mother, he was pretty solidly isolated.
He finally looked up when he heard the smack of a baton against the bars of his cell. Harley really wasn’t a fan of being ignored. Slowly, he placed his comic down and walked over, watching him carefully. You learned pretty quickly not to trust the guards, but not to screw with them either. Inside, they were God. He’d learned that the same way he learned most lessons–the hard way. Harley pulled his cuffs off his belt, and obediently Fin put his hands through the small opening. He took a step backward when he was told, and approached when the cell was open. Only then did he finally ask the question that was racing through his mind “Am I being transferred? Cause you can’t do that without telling me first..” he started on his usual bone headed spiel about needing to contact his family, but he was interrupted “You’re out, kid.” the guard replied.
Wait, what?
If someone had tapped him, he’d have fallen over. Out? “..But I’ve got time left…right?” he was being led down the hall several of his former inmates had been led down, ignoring the hollering and cat calls of the men being left behind to rot. “Nah.” Harley replied as he finally uncuffed him, dropping a clear package with his clothes from the day he was booked inside. God, would those even fit? It had been seven years. He wasn’t about to argue, or to wait around until they (god forbid) changed their mind. Slowly, he unbuttoned his jumpsuit and swallowed.
“Is my br-”
“They let him out yesterday.” Harley interrupted, reading the young prisoner’s mind. Of course they did. Shame they didn’t hand out looks the same day they’d handed out lucks, or his brother wouldn’t be the ugly motherfucker that he was.
Once dressed, he went over to the desk, signing the forms he had to, and picking up his effects as they were placed down one by one “Phone, wallet, a hundred dollars cash, bronze ring..”
God just let me out of here.
It was seven years in the making but finally he was free.
Now time to track down his brother. They had a score to settle.

MASTERLIST
It was Jongin’s birthday, and you decided to surprise him with his group members. You’ve been planning this for a week and today was finally the day. You woke up a bit early to make breakfast. You weren’t really the morning type of person. Just like Jongin— but since it’s his special day, you didn’t want to argue there. taking the tray to your bedroom, you put it on the desk and walked to the side of the bed to wake him up. “Jongin…” you whispered as you sat down beside him. He groaned but turns to you. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. He was surprised to see awake at this hour. “wh-what time is it?” He managed to say through his yawn. “It’s almost 9.” You smiled. He groaned again. “Jagi… this is too early for me!” he said pulling the cover over his head. you laughed and lay on top of him before you pulled the covers off from his face.
“Someone is being grumpy on his birthday.” You teased him. He couldn’t help but chuckled as he puts his arms around your waist. His eyes slowly opened before you leaned in to give him a kiss. you then pulled away and got up from him. you carry the trey from the desk as he sat up on the bed. “I made you pancakes! with honey and strawberry.” you told him bringing the trey close to him. “You didn’t have to Jagi…” He smiled shyly. “I wanted to.” You told him. “I love you.” “I know you do.” You smiled. He ended up sharing the pancake with you and you both talked about yesterday’s event while eating. “Any plans for today?” You asked him. He shook his head. “No, i just want to spend time with you today.” He replied before drinking his juice. “How we go shopping? do you want that?” You asked him. “Anything.” he told you before putting the tray on the floor and pulling you closer. You sat on his lap and put your arms around his neck. “Jongin, it’s your day today, not mine.” You pouted. “Umm… how about we go out for ice-cream?” He asked. “Great! I’ll go get ready!” You said excitedly getting off his lap. But then Jongin, pulled you back letting you hit the bed. He then hovered on top of you, and you laughed. “You can get ready later, but first,” He then placed his lips on yours.
“Yeah his in the bedroom getting ready now… We’ll be leaving in a few, you have my key right?…. What?… Oh, okay then… text me alright?… Okay, bye.” You ended the conversation with Junmyeon. Just in time, Joingin came out of the bedroom. his white t-shirt was nicely tucked into his jeans and and his arm was hooking his black bomber jacket. “You ready to go?” He asked. You nod in reply and stood up from the couch.
Once the both of you were outside the building, it was really cold outside, so Jongin changed his mind. “Let’s just get some hot chocolate instead, is that okay?” He asked puffing a cloud from his mouth. “That sounds good too.” You both then walked to this little cafe down the street and ordered two hot chocolates to go. You then send a quick text to Junmyeon to tell him that you were out with Jongin, as Jongin was taking your order. Then, quickly slipping your phone back to your pocket just before he approached you. Giving you the warm paper cup, you then wrapped your free arm around his and walked out of the cafe. “It’s nice to walk outside.” He said breathing in the cold, fresh air. You nod in agreement as you took a sip of your hot chocolate. “We should do this more often!” He said excitedly. You just chuckled. “I’d love to.” You told him. Then you both went in to a bunch of store and ended up shopping. Jongin treated himself by buying himself a set of clothing and you ended up buying books for yourself to read. “Ah, Jagi look!” He said. You both stopped in front of a game store and Jongin was pointing at a game console. “Jongin, you’re 24.” You lightly laughed. “Who cares, games do not have any age limits.” He said. You laughed and smiled at his childish act. “Come on, let’s go…” You said tugging his arm and he followed. “Where should we go now?” He asked. “I don’t know, got any ideas?” you asked him back. He then stopped walking and so did you. You looked at him as he try to think of a place to visit. Then his face lit up before pulling your hand. “I have an idea.”
“Good idea though.” You told him. you both were standing in front of an arcadia and you could see it in his face that he’s excited. “Come on!” He said excitedly. You giggled as you both entered the arcade. the first game you both played was basketball. And Jongin was surprised that you beat him. “Sehun would win if he’s here though.” He told you. Then you both raced in a Mario Kart and he won. He celebrated it like a child. You giggled as he celebrate because you could’ve win if you didn’t let him. Then you played other games before you both came to stop. “What’s next?” You asked. He looked around the arcade and found a photobooth. He raised an eyebrow at you and you smiled. There was only a small space in the booth so you ended up sitting on his lap as you both took pictures. And you were happy with the results. the first one was both of you smiling, the second photo was you both laughing at something Jongin had said. The third one was you were smiling towards the camera and Jongin was just looking at you. and the fourth photo Jongin was kissing you. Jongin clearly loved it as well. You then got a text from Junmyeon.
From: Junmyeon
it’s all set, we’ll be waiting.
To: Junmyeon
on our way! :)
“Shall we head home?” You asked. Jongin nodded with his brightest smile. “I really had fun today with you, I want to do something like this again.” He told you as you both walked down the street heading home. “I’m glad you’re happy today, good thing is that we didn’t spend all day in bed.” You joked, and he laughed.
Jongin fumbles through his keys and unlocked the door. You swung it open and you both walked in. You took his shopping bags from his hand as he took off his bomber jacket. “Should we turn on the lights?” Jongin asked walking towards the living room. He then Swithed the light and he was surprised to see his members standing in the living room. there were letters that says ‘Happy Birthday Kai’ on the wall and balloons were scattered everywhere. they did a good job on messing the apartment.
“Happy Birthday Jongin!” They cheered. He covered his mouth as you joined the others to sing happy birthday. Jongin blew the candle and covered his blush. “How did you guys— when?” Jongin asked. “(Y/N) Texted us, and it was all her plan.” Baekhyun answered. He then turns to you and you sheepishly smiled. “I love you, thank you, thank you guys! this is amazing, thank you.” He thanked as he put his arm around you. “Jongin, i got you something.” You told him. His eyes widen as he turns to you. You pulled away from his arm and walked to your bedroom to fetch his gift. You came back with a box wrapped in a blue wrapping paper and dark blue bow on top in your hand. The boys let out an ‘aww’ as he receive it. “Open it!” Jongdae said excited. Jongin sat on the couch as you and the others watched him tearing the paper. And his face was priceless as he the gift became visible. He looked up at you and you just smiled. “Happiest birthday to you baby.” “What is it?” Chanyeol asked. Jongin teared the whole wrapping paper and showed the box of a game console he wanted. They cheered before Jongin got up and pulled you into a hug. “I love you so much, you know that right?” He asked. You laughed. “Of course i do, i hope you like the gift.” “(Y/N), I love it, thank you!” He said before giving you a quick peck. Right after that, you prepared food with Chanyeol and Kyungsoo as the others chat in the living room. Jongin then played with his new game console before you called everyone to eat. Jongin enjoyed the little surprise party you’ve planned and the company from his closest friends. After everybody left, He pulled you into his arms and kissed you passionately. “I love you, you’re the best ever, you have no i idea how lucky i feel and happy i am to have you.” He said before kissing you again.

Eye to Eye | Will & Eleven | Thematic Twins
Description: A Will and Eleven sibling like fic. You guys, they have so much in common. I’ll be sad if we don’t have a meaningful meeting between these two. They are just…. My babies.
Putting all of my precious Will & El content on this brand new blog. Here is the  first chapter of the fic I’m writing~

--------------------------------------
“Mom mom, I’ll be fine.” Will stressed. Although he and his mother were the same height now, he felt shorter again while sitting on his brand new bike. His old one had gone unused for so long, the chain rusted out. It was more affordable to just buy a new one. A new one that he pledged to start riding every day just like he used to.
“I know I know, but… “ Joyce held her arms nervously glancing from side to side. Nearly two years had passed since her son went missing, lost in the Upside Down. Five months passed since the Upside Down came back to take him again. She knew she should relax and give him more space. More freedom. She knew she needed to let him grow up and be independent but… it was hard. Very hard. Even Jonathan behind her was nervous, but he hid it better.
“I went to Mike’s house yesterday and it was ok, right?” Will explained. He was in no rush to go to Mike’s house, so he spent the extra time reassuring his mom that everything would be ok. For her sake. And for Jonathan’s sake. And, his own sake really. He’d be lying if he pretended not to constantly be eyeing his surroundings like a madman, flinching at the smallest rustle or chirp from yards or the forest surrounding the road to his house.
He was a high school student now. The past is the past. He wanted to move on and be “normal” again. Not completely normal of course. That was a pipe dream. And there was nothing wrong with being a freak, as Jonathan put it. At the very least, he wanted to ride his bike with his friends again. Go out and come back when he pleased. Jonathan and his mom weren’t always around to drive him wherever. It stressed them all out.
“If you feel nervous or scared at all, AT ALL, you can come back home ok? We’ll still be here. Or if you need us to pick you up, you can call us from-”
“I know mom. I’ll call you as soon as I get there and as soon as I decide to come back. Ok?”
Joyce tried to relax. “Alright baby.” Jonathan stepped forward and rubbed her shoulder. “Have fun.”
Will nodded… but didn’t attempt to leave. He stared blankly at Joyce and Jonathan with the smallest twitch of a nervous smile. He almost looked frozen.
“... Will? You sure you’re ready?” Jonathan asked. He and Will were similar. Jonathan would rather keep his feelings to himself to spare everyone else the worry. It worked pretty well for him. People rarely knew what he was feeling, for better or for worse. The only one who could pick him apart in seconds was his mother… but Nancy wasn’t far behind nowadays.
Will wasn’t as good at hiding his feelings. On the inside, Will was just as nervous as their mother. Another moment passed before Will took a deep breath and shook his head, finally lifting his feet off the ground to peddle away.
“See you later!” Will called after he reached a good distance down their driveway.
In the grand scheme of things, Mike’s house wasn’t that far. Nowhere was far in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. It was a blessing and a curse. He could ride anywhere on his bike and arrive in a short amount of time. That also meant it was much harder to find a place to hide since a pursuer didn’t have many areas to search. He learned that first hand.
Will shook his head and frowned. He did his best to ignore the intrusive memories and survival instincts he developed from his time in the upside down. He didn’t realize how bad the thoughts were until he started considering going out on his own again without his friends or family. He didn’t argue about his mom or brother picking him up and dropping him off at school or the arcade or wherever else he wanted to go for the longest time. He didn’t want to be alone. It was… scary.
He was scared. His sweaty palms and goosebumps riding up his neck was the undeniable evidence. He gripped his handlebars tighter and increased the speed of his peddling. Maybe if he peddled fast enough, he could escape the chill running up his spine.
‘Nothing is out there.’ Will insisted as he took a deep breath. ‘Nothing. Nothing is there.’ He repeated. If you tell yourself something enough times, surely it would come true, right?
Will focused on the street in front of him, refusing to scan the forests and yards until he reached Mike’s house. Relief washed over him when the house finally came into view. He wasted no time parking his bike in Mike’s garage and rushing to the front door. The sooner he got inside the better.
Will barely had time to ring the doorbell before the door swung open. Mike blinked and seemed relieved. He must’ve been nervous too.
“Good, you’re finally here.” Mike stepped aside, letting Will inside.
“Finally?” Will glanced at his watch. He got there in record time, especially since he didn’t make any stops along the way. “It didn’t take me that long,”
“Yeah, but your mom has already called twice looking for you.” Will and Mike walked to the kitchen as Will released an embarrassed chuckle. “Here.” Mike push the phone to Will, knowing that he’d need to call Joyce or she would just call herself again.
Will sighed. As he dialed his house, briefly wondered how many times he sighed that day and if it would become annoying for others. He needed to rein that in. If his mother noticed, she might realize something is wrong or make assumptions at least. He remembered when she first discovered he was having visions of the Upside Down after he returned. It happened in the middle of the day and startled him so bad he started screaming. She was right there, and there was no way to hide the visions after that.
“Will?? Will is that you? Can you hear me?” He blinked. He completely forgot that he dialed his mother and that she was nervously waiting on the other end.
“Yeah, yeah it’s me. Sorry. I made it to Mike’s house.”
“Are you alright…?” As always, she sounded so concerned and worried. Will absently wondered if she would ever become “normal” again too or if her anxiety would continue to chip away at her now all thanks to him.
“Yeah, I’m ok. Really. I’ll call you again when I leave, ok?” He tried to sound as reassuring and confident as possible to put her at ease.
“Remember don’t leave too late. Come back before it gets dark. If it’s too dark, CALL me ask for a ride, ok?”
“Ok, mom.”
“Have fun sweetie.” She finished. Will hung up the phone and glanced at Mike. He stood at the counter preparing snack dishes and drinks. Normally Mike’s mother would make their snacks, but Mike’s parents were out tonight and Nancy was babysitting Holly upstairs.
“You can go downstairs without me,” Mike explained without looking over. “Dustin and Lucas aren’t here yet.”
“What are we doing tonight anyway. Are we doing the campaign today, or playing a game?” Will removed his coat and placed it on a chair nearby.
“Probably both.” Mike shrugged. “You can set up down there if you want to. El wouldn’t know how.” Will blinked in surprise.
“El is here?”
Mike turned and frowned, but then his eyebrows shot up. “Oh, that’s right. You left early the other day… El is visiting for the first time. And, not for the last time.” A slight grin spread across his lips. Not very surprising, Will thought. Mike was quite enamored with her. Will smiled too.
“It’s finally safe?”
“Yep. At least, it is for now. Hopper dropped her off not too long ago and she can stay for a few hours.”
Will nodded, and turned to head down to the basement.
“Hey, Will?”
“Yeah?” Will stopped just short of the basement stairs and turned back. Mike looked… concerned. “What is it?”
“Act natural. It’ll be fine.” Mike gave a reassuring nod then turned back to the snacks on the counter, pouring more chips into a bowl.
Will looked down into the basement from the top of the stairs, pausing his descent. He hadn’t realized it before but… he hardly spoke to Eleven face to face. This would be the first time they truly hung out. Will slowly came down the stairs and scanned the room as more of the room came into view.
Eleven lay on the couch, quietly tinkering with Mike’s Millennium Falcon. When a stair creaked beneath his foot, Eleven glanced over. Her eyes widened the slightest bit as she sat up and put the toy aside. Will stopped when their eyes met.
Will and El weren’t exactly strangers. El wasn’t allowed to come out very often, but that didn’t stop her from communicating with them. Every day after school they contacted El on the AV club radio. Mike even bought a new more powerful radio for his basement to communicate with her whenever. He did all kinds of chores and mowed lawns with Lucas until he had enough to buy the radio himself. A far cry from stealing money from Nancy.
Talking on a radio didn’t compare to meeting El face to face, but Will felt like he knew her well enough even though he wasn’t the one having many conversations with her. Afterall, they had a different kind of connection. A special one.
“Hi, El.” Will said, completing his descent down the stairs.
“Hi Will.” She replied. Will came to sit next to her. He leaned deep into the couch, completely forgetting about setting up for the campaign or the games they were going to be playing.
Neither of them said anything else. The room was quiet, but not awkwardly so. It was strangely comforting. El glanced over at Will, and in return, he glanced over at her. It was the first time they got a good look at each other.
The first two times El met him, he was worse for ware. Pale, sickly, and barely conscious or not conscious at all. It was hard to reach him in the Upside Down. It was hard to reach him when the Mind Flayer took possession of him in every way imaginable, so much so, there was little of him left at all. El reached out and poked his cheek. It startled him at first because it was so sudden. He gave a closed smile, but let her poke as she wanted. She smiled too. She backed away looking satisfied about something. Will could only guess what exactly.
“How are you?” He asked.
“Good.” El nodded. A comfortable silence enveloped them again. “... And you? How are you?” Will turned away and paused.
“Good.” Will nodded, mimicking her as he rubbed his hands together. Will started when El’s hand clamped over his. El was very expressive with her face, and she looked unconvinced.
A small feeling of annoyance flashed through him. He understood everyone’s concern for him, but he didn’t want to be babied. He biked here by himself after all. It kinda freaked him out, but he made it. He pushed through. As quickly as the annoyance came, it faded away and turned into something else. She knew. She knew something. Some of his secrets. Now that they were face to face, secrets were hard to keep. Now he was feeling nervous.
Will sighed once again and El tiled her head quizzically. Will released his tight grip on his own hands and gently grasped hers. Her hand felt familiar for some reason.
“Can you… promise not to tell?” Will glanced towards the stairs. Mike still seemed distracted upstairs and Dustin and Lucas were running late. “I… don’t want to tell the others. Not yet.”
“Promise.” El nearly interrupted him before he could finish. Their met eyes. Will turned to face her and she did the same.
“I don’t know how much you know since we haven’t talked much but… I’ll try to explain.” Will spoke quietly so his voice wouldn’t carry upstairs. “Last year… well… ever since I got stuck in the Upside Down and came back… I used to have these visions of the Upside Down. ‘Truesight’. I could see into the Upside Down even if I didn’t want to… it’s how the Mind Flayer got me.”
El nodded. “I know.”
“Thankfully… I don’t get them anymore. Not completely anyway.” Will paused as he collected his thoughts. El was still learning vocabulary and he didn’t want to confuse her. Not on a subject like this. “Sometimes… I still see things. Or feel things. It’s like… I’m on the surface now but just barely… understand?”
El watched Will’s face. Then she looked down at their hands. Then she glanced around the room as her brows furrowed deeply in thought.
“Once… Mike told me that… this place is like a... tightrope.” El gave up searching the room for something and released Will’s hand, trying to demonstrate with gestures as she recalled the lecture. Normal people… they stay on the tightrope. But, then there is a flea that doesn’t always stay on the tightrope.”
“Right… I remember.”
El lowered her hands, pointing to herself. I am a flea… and now…” She pointed to Will.
“So are you.” Will glanced down and pressed his hands together again. El watched him, wondering if it were a habit. She gently placed her hand on top of his again, trying to reassure him. “But… that’s ok now, right? The Mind Flayer is gone.”
“... He’s not.” Will whispered.
“But… we closed the gate.” El explained. Will nodded, but then shook his head.
“Yes but… that just locked him out of our world and killed all his monsters… he’s still there. In the Upside down… but he’s still here too.”
“Where?” El’s eyes widened in surprise. Maybe a little fear? He was certainly a little fearful too.
“I still feel him…” Will looked up at the ceiling, but his mind went beyond that. To a place far above the clouds that was plenty cold and plenty empty. “A piece of him that was in me… it’s waiting up there. Waiting for something.” Will shrugged nervously. "But it hasn’t done anything all year so far.”
“How do you know?” El asked.
“Because… “ Will looked down to meet her eyes. “A piece of him… some of him is still in me too. I’m worried that… if I fall… if I go under like the flea… he could get me again.” El’s mouth hung open, unsure of what to say. If that’s true, wouldn’t closing the gate have killed him? How was he still himself? Will guessed what her questions might be, so he continued.
“It’s not like it was before. I can tell. There’s only a little left. Before it was like… I was lost in a dark cloud. The more he controlled, the cloudier it got. The less I could see or feel or think. But now… I can’t see what he’s seeing anymore. I don’t feel what he’s feeling. The now memories are gone. I feel like myself again and there aren't any clouds. All that’s left… is this … sensation of knowing where he is. He’s in the sky somewhere… usually following me… but sometimes, he follows you too.”
“He’s just… waiting.” He finished.
“Waiting… for a gate.” El concluded. She wasn’t naive enough to think the creature would just go back to where it belonged if another gate opened. “It wants… to come back here.”
“Yeah...  probably.“
“... What will happen if there is another gate?” El posed the question though she partially knew the answer. The last ordeal was enough evidence to make a solid conclusion.
“You know,” Will answered. “He’ll want to kill everything. He’ll come for me again… and he’ll come for you too.”
This time, the silence in the basement was slightly uncomfortable. Like a cold unwelcome air entered the room and wrapped all around them. Instead of looking at each other eye to eye, they looked at their hands. At least their warm hands beat back the sudden chill.
“When I closed the gate… the Mind Flayer tried to stop me.” El explained. “But, I was able to make him go away. I closed the gate.” Will’s eyes glistened and he sat slightly straighter as she spoke. “If he comes again, I can stop him… we can stop him, Will. We know how.”
“There’s not much I can do…”
“You can.” El tried to meet his eyes, but Will was quite focused on looking down at their hands instead. “You can feel him. You will know when a gate opens, and you can warn us.”
“... You think so? Will that really help?”
“Yes.”
Finally, Will seemed to accept that and refocused on her face.
“...Alright.” Will smiled timidly, but El saw bravery in those eyes of his. Will was always so brave. “We’ll warn them if a new gate appears… We’ll protect everyone, together. ”
As El looked from one hazel eye to another… she saw a reflection of herself. She saw the vague outline of her face and her hair… but she also saw her past.
She and Will had lived such different lives, yet it was still so strikingly similar. She was taken away from her mother by a terrifying monster named ‘Papa’, just like Will had been taken by the Demogorgon to a dimension unknown.
‘Papa’ controlled her every move. Her every thought. Her everything. Disobedience meant punishment and pain. They hurt her. Will had everything taken from him by him. His thoughts. His feelings. His mind. Even his body. They were used to kill. To spy. To bring terrible creatures into their world.
A terrifying beast named ‘Papa’ still waited out there somewhere in the world, waiting for his opportunity to strike. Maybe waiting for an opportunity take her away again. Always waiting and searching for her. Will lived in fear every day, wondering what the Mind Flayer waiting in the sky wanted to do with him next. Anxiously hoping another gate would never open and allow the Mind Flayer to take him again.
She thought about her sister, Kali. Number 8. Kali used all her fear and anger to exact revenge on people like ‘Papa’. For a while, Eleven thought she could do the same. They hurt her. They hurt ‘Mama’. If given the opportunity, they would hurt all of her friends… but in the end, she wasn’t like Kali. She couldn’t use her anger to hunt them and hurt them. She didn’t care about them.
Will felt the same way she did. Even when fear seized his whole body, Will bravely made it through. That night when he told them to close the gate, Will would have died for them if it meant stopping the Mind Flayer. Their friends wouldn’t understand his feelings, but she certainly did. Whatever power she had… she’d use it to protect her friends. Even if it killed her. She held his slightly calloused hand, and not for the first time. But this was the first time he was able to hold hers back.
El smiled again, but this time a contagious chuckle accompanied it.
“What’s so funny?” Will asked, but he chuckled too. El reached up and ruffled his bangs.
“Brother.” She stated simply.
“GOD DAMMIT!” Dustin’s loud voice nearly shocked them to death. They turned toward the stairs as a waterfall of Cheetos rolled down step by step.
“Dustin! I told you to be careful!” Mike shouted angrily. Lucas behind them rolled his eyes and Max smirked at the scene unfolding before her. Dustin and Mike were carrying down the try of food Mike prepared so meticulously. Sadly, the Cheetos didn’t make it.
“Told you to let me carry it, Mike.” Lucas started to pick up the Cheetos to make sure they weren’t stepped on and rubbed the stairs with their feet. Mike grunted and placed a tray of food on the empty table before glancing around the room.
“Will?? I thought you were going to get everything ready?”
Will blinked in confusion, then sprung from the couch. “Oh right! I forgot. Sorry. I guess we were chatting too long.”
“Now we’re way behind schedule,” Mike complained.
“Ah chill out Mike. We’ll just play a game first and then set up the campaign. It’s not a big deal.” Dustin set down the half-empty tray of food and took a seat at the table.
“It’s kind of a big deal that you spilled Cheetos on the stairs too! Now I have to vacuum first!”
“Well,” Max started. “We’re picking up the Cheetos. Doesn’t look like there are any crumbs to even vacuum.”
“Yeah to you it doesn’t.” Mike rolled his eyes. “My mom will still know that Cheetos got spilled on the floor somehow.”
Will shook his head as he set up the TV. Some squabbling was going to break out no doubt. Will glanced over towards El. She was in a similar state of disinterest toward the squabbling over Cheetos on the stairs. Her deadpanned look was pretty funny to witness.
‘Brother’, she said. What did that mean? Does she see him as a brother?
… Well, he always wondered what having a sister would be like.
This might end up being a series? Who knows.

Sorry, I felt like I was being a little too repetitive at times in this one... And I’m getting even myself confused at times with this stupid robot OC’s gender at times. He gives me headaches.... Since Electronica has specified they are A.I., I will refer to A.I. as their consciousness.
[Chapter Index Link] Chapter TItle: Psychopathic Relationship Fandom: Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Characters: Haruto Tenjo Notes: A symptom of a psychopathic relationship is if the victim finds themselves being isolated from their other friends, all because of the other in that relationship.
Though Haruto wasn’t able to have dinner with Kaito at their usual family restaurant the night before, he was now sitting with him and Yuma and Mihael for lunch. The youngest Arclight brother had been taking coaching classes all of Saturday morning, yet throughout the meal one can hardly see him tired as he talked to Yuma about his favourite fantasy series.
Though Yuma didn’t understand everything, the gleam in his eyes showed that he enjoyed listening to Mihael talk.
It would seem as though both teenagers were just school friends, though possibly one with more of an academic knowledge gap. Kaito wasn’t sure whether he had met someone who could shift their mood as quick as Yuma.
It’s like his face can change every few seconds.
Not wanting to be caught staring at the two, he turned back to Haruto, pointing gently to his little brother to at least pick something from the other dishes that he hadn’t been too eager to eat from. As usual, though Haruto wasn’t too picky if he was told to eat something else.
“Did you have something you wanted to do this afternoon, Haruto?” Kaito asked casually. “Are you going to meet your friends? Or do you want to do something together?”
When he had said “together”, it always meant just the two of them. Weekdays were impossible, but once a weekend Kaito always wanted to reserve sometime just with Haruto. It had been a while when they went to the amusement park together, come to think of it.
Realization flashed across the younger boy’s eyes. “Oh! I just remembered, Eli said that they’re going to meet at the arcade. Can I go?”
It wasn’t the usual place, but Kaito nodded to show that he didn’t have problems. Haruto spending time with people of his age was something that should be encouraged. “Do you have enough money?” He hadn’t visited that place for years, and wasn’t sure if they were still using the same system of using game coins.
“Yeah! I know not to spend it on those claw machines.” He said before going back to finishing his food, obviously really looking forward to it.
“That’s good. Then after lunch, I’ll take you there.”
Haruto swallowed his mouthful of food to answer back quickly. “Oh, you don’t have to. I can go there myself, since I know where it is.”
“No, it’s fine, I just want to make sure you get there safely.” Kato insisted. Haruto would have gave a gentle protest, but knowing his brother’s care for him, he finally nodded with a small muffle of “thanks”.
As they had left the restaurant, Mihael was had asked Yuma what he was going to do.
“I’m afraid I have another class before we can go and pick up my brother.” Mihael said in an apologetic tone. Yuma shook his head, while obviously thinking the same thing. Part of him didn’t want to join Haruto, despite that the younger sibling looked more than happy to when he had asked him.
“Hm…” He didn’t have much of an answer. He could perhaps just wander around the city. He opened his mouth but something green had caught his eye.
There was the option of the park.
“Oh, how about I’ll wait for you at the park?” He pointed towards the opposite side of the road. There was a rather large park in the city. Though it wasn’t small enough to easily find your friend, it wasn’t hard to navigate with the accessible maps. Yuma glanced over at the rather tall trees for a moment with strange interest.
“You sure?” Mihael said, opening his bag. Seeing that Yuma didn’t have an electronic book nor electronic tablet device, he wondered how was he going to keep himself entertained for the whole next hour. He rummaged past the neatly packed notebooks before taking out a tablet. Or more specifically, a tablet for reading books “Here, there’s a downloaded fantasy book that I’ve been reading. It’s not the first in the series, but… if you get bored you might like it.”
The black-haired boy started down at the cover for a moment. His smile widened further and used two hands to take it. “Thanks! I’ll take good care of it and read it!”
With that settled, the four had left, with Kaito catching the bus with Haruto to the arcade.
The arcade was in the corner of the avenue, facing a shopping plaza. It was rather busy at this time of the day, especially since it was a weekend. Nevertheless if you were patient enough, you’d still be able to play on a machine that you wanted. Haruto had practically burst through the automatic doors when he had seen his friends there. Notably there were more boys but there were a few girls.
Stopping just at a moment, Haruto turned back just for a moment to wave cheerfully at Kaito. There was a brief but evident smile on the elder brother’s face, before nodding to tell Haruto the silent message that he would pick him up later again.
Once Haruto had joined his friends circle, the face had dropped and was replaced with a grim look. Though it was a weekend, it didn’t seem like a rest for him. He walked away from the arcade, preparing to call Gauche to ask about what the policeman had mentioned to him earlier that morning.
“Electronica! You’re here?”
To the surprise of Haruto and a few who had came a little later, Electronica the A.I. from their class had walked in with another girl. Their eyes flashed into the red colour for a moment before waving.
“Hello!” The high-pitched voice meant that they were impersonating as a girl now. “Thank you for inviting me here! I am so happy!”
Seeing her wave, something caught the childrens’ eyes.
“Hey, did you have that barcode on your wrist yesterday?” Eli, the one who had invited everyone pointed at the artificial arm that was waving at them earlier.
“No, I was using a different body.” Electronica answered. “My real self is just an A.I, just software that can be uploaded to several compatible machines. This one is just a prototype, just in case I might cause something to break when I go out unsupervised.”
Some of the words went over the young children’s heads, but they understood the gist of what the A.I. had meant.
Haruto didn’t get to play at the arcade very often. He had always preferred to play with his brother and the Arclight sibings at home with a TV gaming console. And in a quieter place where one can mash buttons on the couch. Here was noisy, but he rather liked competing with others of his age.
“Mind if I join in?” He turned towards the Electronica who had clambered onto the seat of a gaming car next to the one he was sitting on. “We can race together and see who comes first.”
“Sure! Though.. Wouldn’t you win since you’re a robot?” Haruto had seen some articles a while back, of A.I’s able to take math tests just like any other student. The previous predecessor for Electronica, Trancia was able to play several instruments just like professionals.
“Not really,” Electronica tried to sound casual as they leaned back on the seat. They lifted their left hand while flexing the fingers. “I know that my limb movement is still limited. I can’t move it in all the angles that you can do. And I don’t know how much grip to use for everything. Software can be limited by the hardware, you know.”
“Huh… then I guess we can try it out?” Haruto offered, starting up the game. The A.I. gave a nod before turning its head to look at the screen. It was now showing the options for choosing their racecar avatar and the obstacle themes.
“Just curious.” Electronica spoke up. “Who was that person who had brought you here? Was he your brother?”
“You mean on the way to the arcade? Yeah, that’s my elder brother.” Haruto said.
“Oh, I see. He looked too young to be a parent.” Electronica tried a random compliment. Haruto didn’t give a response though, when the start buzzer alerted the beginning of the race.
“Sorry, you were saying?”
“I was saying that… it isn’t a surprise that he is your brother. He looks too young to be a parent.” Electronica mentioned, somewhat a bit louder this time.
“Oh right, yeah.” Haruto mentioned. In the middle of bypassing the incoming projectiles and having his racecar reach the end goal, he was too distracted to wonder how did a robot decide whether a person looked young or not. He exhaled a breath of relief as the first round of the game had ended. Electronica gave a small smile towards him. “You’ve won, congratulations. Let’s go another round?”
“Sure!” Haruto said.
In the one minute of playing, he had forgotten that the one beside him was a mere assembly of metal, plastic and tangible software. “Did you enjoy it as well, Electronica? You’re not doing very bad yourself. You came third, didn’t you?”
Electronica’s voice temporarily turned into a boy’s, laughing in a happy manner. “Thanks! I did practice before. Did you play here at the arcade a lot to be good at this game?”
“No, not really, “ Haruto said, slightly proud that he didn’t have to put so much effort into this. “I had taken a few driving lessons at a public simulator labs before. I want to drive a car as soon as I turn twelve.”
At this age, with autonomous cars that would regulate it’s operations, the age restrictions for learning how to “drive”, or really “ride a car” alone was getting smaller and smaller.
“But I thought you can’t, since you are a little boy.”
“I’m not a little boy.” Haruto replied back immediately, giving the A.I. a somewhat hurt look. Like any boy of his age, he didn’t’ like the sound or implication of being called in need of help or being weak and a small spark of irritation would always be ignited.
“But you are, aren’t you?” Electronica used their arms to quickly turn the wheel pad, trying to change the vehicle to steer around the right corner. Their general polite but fun-loving voice didn’t change much at all, not able to detect the hint of irritation of Haruto’s words. “You were being taken here by your elder brother.”
“He just wants to do that to make sure I’m safe though,” Haruto answered a little more slowly this time. “It’s not like I really need him or want him to take the trouble…”
“Then don’t let him.” Electronica said, twisting again their arm to turn the wheel. Around the corner on the race track, they had taken the lead. Haruto wasn’t as bothered as he pressed the acceleration button.
“So you mean don’t let him drop me off at school?”
Electronica had nodded, though Haruto didn’t pick up on it. “Yeah.” They talked, holding their current position with the wheel. “I thought that people drop children off. So that means you still need to be taken care of.”
Still need to be taken care of.
Haruto’s fingers were still on autopilot, knowing when to steer from incoming obstacles. However, the words were bugging at him at the back of his mind. His brother did have to take care of him. Kaito had never said that it was tiring, with that false illusion of a smile.
“Yay! I win!” Electronica’s said happily.
There was the beeping sound of the machine. He had reached the end of the racecourse without realizing. Electronica’s avatar racecar was waving banners as the winner in first place this time.
The robot had gotten off the simulator car and stood next to his.
“What’s wrong? You don’t look so good.” Electronica asked, though the voice still carried the similar flatness of a machine. “I think you would have won.”
“I… was thinking about what you said.” Haruto said as he faced them, as though he would be looking at them eye to eye instead of a mere pair of lenses. He blinked a little while trying to formulate his words. “My brother does take care of me a lot.”
“It’s his job, right?” Electronica tilted their head. The gesture that they were asking for observations. “Older brothers are supposed to take care of the younger siblings.”
“Well, yes, if you say it like that … but,” Haruto’s small hands had balled into fists around his knees, while trying to find the right words to convey what he meant. “I don’t want him always having to take care of me. He’s always tired from work… and he’s… he doesn’t get time to have fun for himself…”
“Why not?” Electronica had leaned forward a little, due to the boy’s voice getting a little softer. Whoever programmed the A.I. had certainly forgotten to make it take hints of sensitive topics in a conversation.
“Because… when we’re going home, I can see that there are other people in the street. They look like the same age as him, but… they’re not always at work. They aren’t always looking after their younger brothers.”Haruto wasn’t sure who was putting all these words, and how much he had realized, but he wasn’t able to stop as the more he realized all of the obvious signs that was there all this time. Strange how talking it out can bring all them to light.
Kaito was lying about his happiness.
Haruto knew very well that he had been searching for their father. He had worried about not spending enough time with Haruto. He had been worried about the boy being at home himself. He had been lying…
Because of Haruto.
Being told that it was Kaito’s job didn’t make him feel better in the slightest.
“As I said before, just don’t let him?” Electronica said again. Haruto lifted his head in confusion. “How?”
“I thought you could ask him to not do that.” The robot said. “Tell him that you don’t need to be taken care of.”
Numbly the boy nodded. He wasn’t expecting such a straight-forward or easy answer. However, he was smart enough to see it. “But… He’ll still worry though. Lot so of people are worried about primary school children, like us. Well, not you, Electronica, but humans of our age, since there’s stories about being in car accidents, or being kidnapped.”
“Oh, I see.” Electronica nodded. “Are you scared?”
“No!” Haruto answered in defense, not wanting to be seen as a “small boy” like earlier. “I mean… I’ll be careful so I won’t be. I’ll be scared if that happens, but I won’t let that happen.”
“Oh, I see now.” They nodded. “So you mean you’re going to be careful when you’re going home now?”
“Yeah.” Haruto said, “when I’m going home without my brother picking me up… I’ll be just as careful.”
Electronica seemed to be taking a bit longer to answer. After a short pause they blinked, nodded and spoke again in a boyish voice. “That’s brave and nice of you then, to think about your older brother like that.”
Haruto’s ears merely went pink a little, frantically trying to divert the topic to elsewhere. “What about you, Electronica? How do you get back home?”
“Do you mean how do I get back to my test lab?” they asked for confirmation. Haruto nodded.
“There’s usually a small van. The back has some tools that can be used for maintaining this robot body. And there’s a few communication equipment. I ride that sometimes. At school from now on, I’m going to be walking and taking the public transport though.”
“Just like us?”
“Yeah!” Electronica beamed. “They’re trying to test if this version of me is able to learn how to handle walking, running and climbing stairs at school for longer periods of time without running into problems.”
Haruto understood what they were saying, but there was one detail that had the boy confused. “This version?”
However, Electronica’s facial expression mimicked a slightly saddened child’s face. “Sorry, Haruto. I need to leave now.” They pointed at the clock. About two hours had passed in the arcade. “Next time, I can tell you more about version control if you want. It’s not for your age, but you might be smart enough to answer that.”
“Alright!” Haruto’s eager voice was back. He hopped off the racing model, walking Electronica towards the entrance.

State farm car insurance people?
I am writing to find out what my options might be-to see if you guys might have some feedback. Long story short-I was in an accident on 6/28, that was my date of loss, submitted the claim then, my car is in the process of being repaired-and it will be ready 7/23 which is ridiculous. Basically my renewal is up on 7/19-however, I wanted to switch to Geico. I have been with State Farm for 12 years and I am amazed at the service-or lack thereof-and their turn around time requirements. They are charging me $668.00 for the same exact coverage as Geico would for six months however, I've added towing/rental reimbursement with Geico and it's only $303/6 months. I have several policies with them, and should be getting a larger discount IMO. I've heard Geico is awesome with claims and have friends that have used them. I am writing to find out if I can switch during a claim process-has anyone else done this? Thanks!""

Weather Related Car Accident How Much Will Insurance Pay For?
Ok so I was driving home late morning a few nights ago, it was snowing pretty badly making conditions pretty bad, difficult to drive in and especially with my car (eclipse) so I was not doing any more then I could handle. I was on the highway going around 15-25 mph at most. Suddenly I began to swerve and spun out and got turned around and finally hit the guardrail, not much force because I was driving pretty slow to begin with. So the side of my car hit and I ended up facing the other direction. I have noticed there are a few scratches and marks on the front side one on headlight, a little below the headlight and some orange marks along the side, also a crack on the very bottom of the back bumper (not sure how it got there, kinda in the middle) So I was the only one involved and was wondering since it is a weather related accident how much my insurance will pay for? im just very confused because I am not looking forward to body shop and getting estimates, Greatly Appreciated Thanks""

Should parents pay for their kid's car insurance?

The officer didn't give me any points for it and the fine was drastically lowered, considering the fact that I only went 60 for a little and breaked right after. Do you think my insurance will raise? I live in Pennsylvania and have Allstate. If it raises, how much extra per month will I be looking at?""

Truck hits curb due to icy road..Damage is extensive. Will insurance pay? ?
I was heading down a hill; the road was icy. The truck wasn't stopping properly. It slid into a curb; damaged the wheel (rim). Now, the truck swirves to the left when I drive. I thought I needed an alignment. Went to an auto shop; turns out I need to replace a control arm ($569 just in parts) and some frame pulling is needed....AND an alignment. Total cost: $1750 (with labor) I do have comprehensive coverage with a $500 deductible. I just called my insurance and am waiting to hear back from a claims rep. (they said within 24 hrs); can they deny this for any reason? I really need the truck fixed soon.... Also, will my premiums increase? By a lot???""
First Time Cars With Low Insurance?
I'm going to be starting Driving lessons soon and want to start thinking on what car to get as my first one so I can save up, though I don't know much about cars at all. So I'm looking for some advice on a good, but cheap, car (Either New or Used, if used I would like to know the general life expectancy from new in order to work out how long it will resonantly last) that will last me for at least 4 years and get me through my first Degree, I also would like it to have a fairly low insurance for a beginner driver as I am a college student, currently, and plan on doing my Masters (Starting next year) then my PHD, so I won't have a massive pot of funds. If anyone can help me I will be very grateful as I know nothing about cars, all my vehicle knowledge is of Motorbikes.""

When do insurance rates on your vehicle go down?
I'm 22. In my 5 years of driving, I have NEVER been in an accident and have never gotten a ticket. My parents are paying around $60 a month whereas I'm still paying $117. I don't drive a fancy car neither. Just an older 2004 Camry. Is it because of my age bracket is why my insurance still hasn't lowered any? I'm with Allstate and in California if that matters.""

""Total cost of new car; insurance, tax, registration etc...?""
I am looking to buy a new used car (new to me). Currently I am driving a POS 1990 honda civic that keeps breaking on me. I have had it for just over a year and put more $ into than I paid for it. It is time for me to get a nice car now. I am aiming for a toyota celica in the early 2000's, $6,000-$8,000. I will be finacing it, and I can afford about $150/month in payments. I realise that I will have to get full coverage insurance (I have liability right now). I hear that is about $800 extra per year. What I want to know is how much is it going to cost me (roughly) to go in, get a new car, trade in my old one, pay taxes on the car, insurance, registration, everything that needs to be done. Obviously it will vary by car, state, situation...but ball parks are okay. There is no such things as too much info right now. I live in the north east if that is of any assistance :] Thanks.""

Can someone please explain health insurance to me?
I'm looking for individual health insurance and it is very confusing. Can someone explain what things like deductible, copay, and coinsurance mean? Also, what's the difference between a PPO, Network, Indemnity, and a HSA-qualified plan? Lastly, how do I know exactly what is covered before I apply? People have sent me things in the mail and I'm looking online and I was given a list of things covered, but then it says that this isn't everything and once I sent in my payment I will get a full list of my policy and coverages. That seems shady, and these are top companies like Aetna and Health America, so I don't think they would rip me off. Plus, how come these companies aren't offering a bundle plan, where I can get health insurance, vision, and dental all in one plan with one monthly payment?""
