Sunday confession:
But sometimes I wished Tom and Z dated from 2016 to 2019, and that had been it. I'm aware this is a dark post, and you don't have to entertain this ask if you don't want to. If I had known them, being together could cause so much discourse, obsession, and vitriol as if they were Romeo and Juliet, the irony lol, I wouldn't have hoped as a Tomdaya from 2017. Like for both fandoms, it's too much. I've never been in a fandom where personal life cause so much noise like this. Like Z being asked about kissing her costars because somehow this kinks to Tom is not normal. Her having a film and memes about her and Tom take over is not normal. These are adults, not kids anymore. It also didn't help that they also have films together, such as SM4, where now I'm scared of that presstour cause how are ppl going to act when or if they get engaged. Will that be the whole presstour and not about the characters and film???
It's hard because who can be blamed for this? Is it their publicists for not omitting certain questions from the previous SM3 press tour? Is it the fans or antis whose tweets in praise or disgust get so many likes because ppl are so parasocial about them? Is it them for interacting with those fans, and now, as they are older, they want to have more boundaries, but the cant because ppl are still fixed on how accessible they were in the past? Is it filmbro critics and their biases who pit Timothee and Tom together that also aid fire to Z being used as a punching bag whenever she does a role with a male costars, ppl accues her of being unfaithful to Tom like it is not her job to kiss her costars?
I feel like no other young actors are dealing with this to this extent. Its too specific to them, which is draining cause they are so popular.
Timothee used to, but he stopped interacting with his fans post 2022 due to obsession with his personal life and the armie hammer situation. Also, it helps that he has done a lot of films, supporting and leads, so his works always speak more for himself than he does. Is it overexposure? Is it the consequences of being very moral in an amoral industry?
It's exhausting as a fan. I think what would kill the obsession is castings for both of them because then ppl have fodder to fixate on.
What do you think? Sorry for the long ask😭😭😭
Thanks for your confession Anon. 🥰
Whew! This was a long ask! 😅
I will try not to add too much to the length of this, but anyway...
First off.... right off the bat...
No, I personally wouldn't wish that Tom and Zendaya only dated each other from 2016-2019, because that's not what THEY would have wanted. The heart wants what it wants, and they are obviously blissfully happy and in love with each other. 🥰
I wouldn't wish them anything that they wouldn't want. I think fans forget that when two people want to be together, nothing and NOBODY can keep them apart from each other lol. 😅
With that said, I do find it weird that some fans become sooo parasocial over them.... whether individually, or as a couple. You're right, the constant speculation, obsession, finger-pointing, shipping Z with other costars, the persistent attention on their personal life, etc can get a bit exhausting at times as a fan. 😩😞
With that said, idk what the culprit is. 🤷🏾‍♀️ It's probably a combo of a lot of things honestly?
I just view it as a phase that they will have to ride out together ❤️. They've already done a very marvelous job of handing a very public rlshp with each other in the public eye very beautifully imo, especially with a famous as they are.
When you're in a rlshp with someone, you two are a TEAM.☺️ So I'm sure they will be able to handle whatever bumps come along the way because they've already done a beautiful job so far, and it's probably only made them stronger tbh. 🥰

Fuck all horror filmbros, here’s my controversial opinion
Most gross horror films rely on the element of disgust, not fear. If a movie is disgusting, it’s not scary, it’s just gross.
I saw a TikTok I’m gonna put here when I find it, but subconsciously, a lot of people (usually horror bros) consider being extremely disgusted as horror, when it doesn’t correlate because disgust isn’t the opposite of horror, it’s comedy. Something that is funny can also be very horrifying, and vice versa, however nasty is another element all together.
These horror bros can’t sympathize with legit impactful stories (probably because they’re usually the thing the film is criticizing but that’s another discussion all together) so they assume that nasty shit like A Serbian Film and the Vomit Gore Trilogy are actual good horror movies “because they embody etc. etc.” and it pisses me off
These are the same people that would never sit through Martyrs and would heavily criticize I Spit on Your Grave for the wrong reasons

1, 3, and 9 for the movie asks!
1. What is your current favourite film?
My all time favourite movie is Fight Club, but I haven't seen it in a while so I'll say Saltburn! At least that's what I've been thinking about a lot lately. Best movie of 2023 haha
3. What is a film you absolutely despise and why?
Oh there's so many. I'm such a hater. But if I have to say just one, Oldboy (2003) Yes, Oldboy directed by Park Chan-Wook. I just couldn't get into the story, the characters were all bad and the plot twist was just disgusting, but not in a good way which would've made me like it...women were treated like shit in it and it was uncomfortable as hell. I struggled to find a few good things about it because I always have to when I watch something, but some good visuals don't save a movie!!! I wish I could explain my opinions better but yeah, filmbros are gonna attack me so let's fight 🤺
9. What was the last film you watched and what did you think of it?
School started for me again so I haven't watched a new film since Sunday!!! I watched Star Wars episode II Attack Of The Clones and it was simply just fine. Not the best Star Wars but I enjoyed! I miss my favourite boy Luke Skywalker tho cuz Anakin annoys me 💔
(After Star Wars I also watched Wham! documentary so if that counts as a movie...it's perfect. 5 stars. Best documentary ever.)
Thanks for asking!

Its very interesting to me, actually. They treat gayness for Taylor (and women in general) an amazing trait, a gift from god and just very positively. But then go around and hate on mlm? Why? Why Joe or Josh being gay is insulting and disgusting? If you think Joe is her Harry Cameron, then good for them. You realise evelyn and harry were very fucking close and evelyn loved him so dearly? I fucking wish Joe is bi lmao, i love my bisexual boyz and would love joe so much more than i already do. There are a bunch of filmbros that would love for him to be like “of course ive kissed boys😏” so like….
They’re just homophobic freaks tbh.
They don’t like actual gay women - they only want weirdly celibate fantasies about straight or straight functioning women, they hate gay men, and like they don’t think bisexuality exists.

There's a filmbro culture that I am always reacting against despite being huge fans of the directors/films in a vacuum. Nolan, Tarantino, the Coens, superhero films and crime films all add up to create this sort of bland film monoculture. And yet none of these things are bland (eh actually fuck super heroes) and I am a great fan of each of these filmmakers ( and I deeply cherish Burn After Reading especially) but damn. I'm sick of it. I am a contrarian at heart I have to admit. I think if something has a broad appeal, we should ask why that is and what cultural moment it's tapping into and what negative values they are perpetuating. And time and time again, it's been proven how certain films/music/whatever was liked for the "wrong reasons". So despite having something deeply artistic to say, people will take things at a shallow level and actually use the art to further shitty values (see what the disgusting misogynists are doing to the lovely Matrix films). So despite loving these filmmakers, I'm not excited if they have a new film come out and I want something else. Something different. Anyhoo! Rant over 🙂

I think swifties would make ~kinda homophobic jokes and gaylors would go “WE SAID HE IS A TWINK HAHAHAAHAHAH TREE PAINE SHAKING AND CRYING” given how much they despise mlm. Because bisexuality doesnt exist and gay men are disgusting so everything is a lie.
Yeah I would imagine it’d be something like that. Gay filmbro Twitter would CELEBRATE tho and so would this blog and like @kaylortruther’s blog lol. Unfortunately I do think he’s tragically heterosexual tho and just not a homophobe tbh. In an AU he has the range for the meaningless heteroflexible actor statement but I can’t see Mr Taylor Swift saying that.
