Forbidden right-wing event in the castle of Bärwalde/Bjerwałd

This Saturday, the 16th September 2023, the small village of Bärwalde/Bjerwałd is full of police cars - the reason: an unapproved open "family event" that is supposed to take place this Saturday. The organizers are the "Königreich Deutschland" (kingdom of Germany), who are a sub group of "Reichsbürger" (people of the empire), and are living in the castle since around spring 2022. They apparently don't care about the German Constitution on their ground, they say, and their leader, Peter Fitzek, is well known to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. They want to establish a new kingdom with their own - or old - laws.

Despite the prohibition for the unapproved festival, this commune with well known fascist ties wants to use the "family event" to recruit young families with children into their ideology. Planned is a panel discussion, held by Nikolai Nerling - antisemite, right extremist, Holocaust denier, and convicted of Volksverhetzung (incitement to hatred.)

The people of Bärwalde/Bjerwałd are unsure about the event, a lot are not against it, yet the village is filled with posters against it. On the same day, the local government is having a counter-event, so the local people can get to talk with them.

Danny Fenton sends Superman a fan email in which he asks for advice. In it he says he is also a non-human hero (he is vague because being a ghost is illegal) Danny mentions that he is being raised by humans. His parents don't know about his activities or species and hate his kind.

Danny was mostly looking for advice on how to make people stop being scared of his non-human characteristics. But Clark really sees himself in this teenager's email. He knows he was lucky to get parents who loved him even as an alien, but he also recalls being young and scared that would change.

So they start regularly exchanging emails, and Superman becomes a kind of mentor even if Danny refuses to tell him anything about his identity.

Wußwerk/Wózwjerch doesn't belong to the sorbian settlement area anymore - on paper

Lately, the administrative tribunal of the region of Cottbus/ Chóśebuz decided that Wußwerk/Wózwjerch won't belong to the sorbian settlement area anymore. The representatives of the village community apparently have sued the state in advance, to take down the sorbian designation.

To be part of the area, a village has to take part in sorbian costums and traditions, and while holding the title of a sorbian village, all the street signs must be bilingual, as one example.

Wußwerk/Wózwjerch will be a white spot on the map from now on - despite some sorbian inhabitants and its geographic location in the spree forest/Błota. Many costums were forbidden under the Nazi regime and weren't picked up again during the GDR, so who's to say what's sorbian and what's not nowadays? Well, on paper, claiming the village of Wußwerk /Wózwjerch as sorbian, would he illegal.

It is feared that this action will have the consequence of more villages declining their sorbian heritage. A bunch of villages have already submitted their application.

After some relatively stable decades, the sorbian area will continue to decrease again.
