just remembered that the first time Yingdu showed the first part of the ED was on episode 3, which was pretty much a Xia Fei (+Vein) intro

and what do we have at the beginning of the ED?

This reminds me of what @protect-namine said in the tags/reblogs of my post about how the main theme of this show is on fraud/scam/lies, and ShiGuang and VeiFei are foils of each other in playing out that theme. Notably, they mentioned this:

Then in Episode 3, the beginning of the ED, which juxtaposes the two pairs, is shown. I talked more about it here, but let me just copy the relevant parts of what I said there:

ShiGuang has distinct light sources in different colors, blue and green. No intersecting elements. In contrast, the light from Xia Fei’s frame is spilling over into Vein’s, and the smoke from Vein’s cigarette is rising to Xia Fei’s frame.

Additionally, Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi are looking in opposite directions, while Xia Fei and Vein are both facing towards us.

This also makes it seems like VeiFei are looking at each other, unlike ShiGuang
