I thought I’d make a pinned post since this blog is almost 15 years old and is a bit of a mess.
My name is Fin (they/them) 25+
I live in Canada and I love lighthouses and the ocean, I hate highway 401 with burning passion.
Art is my hobby, so I try to draw just for the fun of it. I usually join fandoms for a year or so, before rotating to smth else. Just so you know, this blog has like a wild mix of everything that accumulated over years. So you can navigate using TAGS.
I am currently into Naruto because I get back into it every 5 years or so, so I made a yaoi enclosure (just a side blog for naruto stuff to be cringe and free in peace)

Help I commed @fg083 to draw Hidan and my OC and I can't stop weeping, look at my BABIES. Hidan giving her his jacket is like... one of my favorite things. She's so small, it is practically eating her. She'll never be seen again, but she's warm and cozy so I guess it's okay.
If anyone wants to read a really long, bad soap opera trainwreck fic about a cute little civilian OC living with the Akatsuki, it's here. (warning it is slow burn but eventually very NSFW) Huge thank you to Fin for making them look SO CUTE what the heck.

Hello! I had a question about Igogusa...we were trying to figure out what happened to her. Did she actually marry, or did she die? or Tsukishima was right and his father killed her? Why did Tsurumi plant that man to tell Tsukishima about Igogusa being dug up? I am not sure if you have already answered this question before though
No, I haven’t answered to this before because...
...the truth is we don’t know.
Our most reliable source of information is Tsukishima... but this is all he knows.
In Japan is common to remove your shoes before committing suicide so that’s what Tsukishima assumed it had happened to her.
Igogusa’s parents apparently moved away.
We know this not only due to Tsurumi, who said they moved to Tokyo...
...but also by how Tsukishima clearly didn’t see them in Sado when he came back or he would have immediately complained when Tsurumi told him they went to Tokyo, claiming he saw them in Sado.
We also know the soldier who told Tsukishima about how Igogusa’s remains were found just after Tsukishima was caught didn’t do it out of a random circumstance but was acting according to Tsurumi’s instructions.
He was also not a man working in Tsurumi’s platoon or Tsukishima would have known him. Hard to say if he worked for the 7th or for another division though. For all we know he might not even be a soldier but someone on Tsurumi’s paybook who disguised as such.
Now... which are our possibilities?
- As Tsukishima assumed Igogusa committed suicide by tossing herself in the sea. Tsurumi figured out but lied to Tsukishima because, with Igogusa’s death, Tsukishima lost his will to live. Then Tsurumi had that soldier lie to Tsukishima.
- It was all a farce staged by Tsukishima’s father who murdered her for his own reasons or due to an incident, buried her under his house and then placed her shoes there so that the whole city would believe her to be dead. Tsurumi then dug her up but lied to Tsukishima because, with Igogusa’s death, Tsukishima lost his will to live. Then Tsurumi had that soldier tell the truth to Tsukishima.
- It was all a farce staged by Igogusa’s parents and Igogusa actually was sent to Tokyo to marry another man. Then Tsurumi staged another farce to pretend it was Igogusa’s father who actually killed her. Lastly Tsurumi had that soldier tell about the second farce to Tsukishima.
But actually there’s another mystery that needs to be solved prior to this one.
Why Tsukishima’s father told everyone Tsukishima was dead?
- He did it because Igogusa’s parents requested it as Tsurumi said.
- He did it because he was a jerk... or maybe he wanted Igogusa for himself and thought in this way she would give up on his son.
- He did it because Tsurumi sent out a fake message claiming Tsukishima was dead because he wanted Tsukishima to keep on working with him and didn’t want Tsukishima to settle down with Igogusa so he hoped this would persuade Igogusa to stop waiting for Tsukishima and marry another man.
So in itself we’ve three intertwining mysteries:
- Why Tsukishima’s father claimed Tsukishima was dead?
- What happened to Igogusa?
- Why Tsurumi felt the need to raise the issue again, this time handing Tsukishima a new version?
Let’s start with mystery number three first as it’s the easier to solve.
The whole thing is clearly a test to Tsukishima to see if he would remain loyal to Tsurumi... but it’s also a great way to tie Tsukishima to Tsurumi even more.
Why is that? Tsurumi made clear to Tsukishima he needs men ready to do terrible things.
Tsukishima was nicknamed the coscience of the 7th, meaning he wasn’t so prone to do terrible things. In addition to this, Tsukishima is still closely tied to Igogusa’s memory as he still has her hair with himself. He might not want to be part of a plan which would make Hokkaido a separate country from Japan, as this would mean he would live in a country different from her, one that would be viewed as an enemy country.
However if Tsurumi set up a mummery to save him this would mean Tsurumi exposed himself to a serious risk. Basically he lied to central command to get Tsukishima out of the death row. They could consider him Tsukishima’s accomplice at worst, at best he would be discharged by the army with dishonour.
So Tsurumi didn’t just save Tsukishima’s life by recommending him for a position as his subordinate in the Russian mission, he saved him risking his own position and, potentially, his own life.
If Tsukishima previously was grateful to him, how should he feel now if not terribly indebted to him?
Also, as I said, this was a test, one Tsukishima passed with flying colours.
It’s not just this though. Not only Tsukishima remained loyal to Tsurumi but also partially managed to control his rage and ask for explanations. He didn’t lose it like he did with his father.
In short Tsukishima proved he could be the right man to support Tsurumi.
This though doesn’t tell us if what Tsukishima was told about Igogusa’s death was true or not. Be it a lie or the truth, it’s still something that’s advantagious for Tsurumi so he uses it.
The question would be ‘if it was the truth why not to tell it to Tsukishima when Tsukishima was in jail’?
While it can be argued back then Tsurumi didn’t want Tsukishima to feel burdened by all Tsurumi did to get him out of jail, Tsurumi said his goal was to give Tsukishima back his will to live. This addition to the truth didn’t change Igogusa’s living status but would have also let Tsukishima know he had a friend in Tsurumi who would go to great lenghts to save him, in short, if this was the truth, it would have served better to the purpose to keep Tsukishima alive.
I also don’t think Tsurumi kept this part hidden to use it as a trump card to use with Tsukishima in the future.
So my speculation is that no, Tsurumi didn’t stage that mummery.
Either no digging took place and the soldier lied to Tsukishima totally or the digging really happened and Igogusa’s body was really found there. In this case Tsurumi lied because he knew telling the truth to Tsukishima would only make things worse, as Tsukishima was already pretty content with dying believing he had murdered the person who caused Igogusa’s death and would have been even more happy to die in this way if it had turned out his father really murdered Igogusa.
It’s also worth to note that, since Tsurumi said he let the people see they were digging her up, it would have been troublesome to bury another corpse that looked like Igogusa under the house since her hair were apparently rather peculiar.
Tsukishima’s reaction is interesting though.
When he’s explained things by Tsurumi and the man tells him Igogusa is still alive this is his expression.
It’s not one of relief at being told Igogusa is alive. It’s one of emptiness, one he didn’t have prior to him and Tsurumi being injured... and it’s worth to note that, while Tsurumi spoke about what had happened, his expression was kept hidden in the volume while in the magazine we see a glimpse of it and it’s still empty.
And later, when Tsukishima will be back in Otaru, he’ll let Igogusa’s hair fall into the sea before going to see Tsurumi who’s removing his bandages (mind you, this scene is in the volume only).
If what Tsurumi has said is true, Igogusa’s situation hadn’t technically changed, yet Tsukishima let her hair fall into the sea.
Why is Tsukishima looking so empty instead than relieved that Igogusa is alive? Is he feeling helplessly tied to Tsurumi even if he doesn’t want to? Or there’s something more?
Remember what Tsurumi has said when he had brought Tsukishima Igogusa’s hair?
This, at first sight, seems something Igogusa could have said. We know, even if we don’t know Igogusa because Tsukishima himself told Tsurumi he told her he loved her hair and how she called him ‘Hajime-chan’ (in the scanlations is just ‘Hajime’ but in the original Japanese text is ‘Hajime-chan’ both here and when Tsurumi reports Igogusa’s words).
However there’s something that always caught my attention.
When Tsukishima and Tsurumi are hurt a memory crosses through Tsukishima’s mind.
Igogusa’s line is an addition to a scene we saw previously in which Tsukishima told Tsurumi about her.
Tsurumi didn’t know about this part, about how the hair Tsukishima loved caused him to be involved in brawls, brawls in which he probably didn’t just beat the others but also got hurt.
Long story short, I wonder if this little addition is mean to hint Tsukishima, all of sudden remembered something Igogusa said, and that something made him realize there was a discrepancy in Tsurumi’s story, that something that made him think that no, Igogusa wouldn’t have wanted her hair to be buried with him since it caused him to be hated by the others.
It’s a bit like when Ogata told Asirpa Sugimoto wanted to make anglerfish nabe. It was a lie that made sense, Sugimoto could have wanted that dish, as it was common also in the area from which Sugimoto was, but Asirpa knew what Sugimoto truly loved, dried persimmon so she figured he was lying.
Tsukishima might have realized later because, due to his emotional state and that thing having happened long ago, he forgot (like Asirpa did in regard to what her father told her).
So my speculation is Tsukishima believed Igogusa didn’t marry but really died and Tsurumi lied to keep him alive. That’s why he has such a empty expression, because Igogusa is dead and Tsurumi, whom he views as a friend, lied to him over and over, even if only to keep him alive. That’s also possibly why he tosses her hair in the sea, because Igogusa wouldn’t want him to have it.
Now... I believe Tsukishima is loyal to Tsurumi, but when he agrees to help him he makes clear why he’s doing it...
...and doesn’t look happy or grateful. Actually Tsukishima’s gaze as Tsurumi rests his hand on him always gave me a weird vibe.
Tsukishima doesn’t smile but watches Tsurumi’s hand as if the touch feels out of place. Touching people when he believes he has them under control should be Tsurumi’s habit as he did the same with Ogata...
...though Ogata managed to force a smile... but well, this is a discussion for another time.
So far my theory (remember, it’s a theory, we’ve no canon confirmation so far) is that Tsurumi didn’t organize a mummery to dig up Igogusa’s body and that she really died. No idea if killed by Tsukishima’s father or if drowned.
Figuring out the rest though becomes even harder as we lack a huge deal of info.
Now... the possibility the girl was killed by Tsukishima’s father and Tsurumi dug up her remains is high simply because they’re still on the frontlines and Tsukishima can effectively meet a soldier from Sado who’s not on Tsurumi’s paycheck and who could confirm or deny the story Tsukishima was just told, so I don’t think Tsurumi would want to risk being called a liar again (though it can be Tsurumi checked and there weren’t still breathing soldiers from Sado in the army, the ones coming from that place all dead by that point of the war).
Tsukishima’s father, contrary to what Tsurumi said, could be the murderer... although Tsukishima is pretty vague on what his father did that caused him to be universally despised.
Apparently he murdered someone but he clearly didn’t go to jail. Tsurumi tried to sell the idea Tsukishima’s father murdered Igogusa as over the top but if the guy really was suspected of murdering someone, why would it be?
There’s something more to Tsukishima’s father’s story? There’s something that made hard for him to murder Igogusa? And where’s Tsukishima’s mom? He doesn’t mention her at all.
On the other side it’s possible Igogusa fell into depression after believing Tsukishima to be dead and just killed herself. We see Tsurumi investigating at the sea after all.
Is, what he’s sniffing, a piece of igogusa seaweed? For who has no idea how igogusa seaweed looks like before becoming Igoneri here it is.
So no, it’s not igogusa, at most it could be "Maki-igoneri" (rolled igoneri),
which is habitually eaten on Sado Island. So that would basically be what Tsurumi ate after finishing investigating.
Or is that something completely different? Something that worked as a hint to tell us something?
Now... credits when it’s due, if Tsukishima’s father was so much as remotely suspicious, Tsurumi would have easily figured it out... but here it seems he didn’t go to Tsukishima’s house at all,
... or he did?
It’s mostly speculation on my part but look at this scene, more specifically to the part to the right of Tsurumi.
Doesn’t it looks like the background used for the scene in which Tsukishima realized the one who spreaded the rumors was his father?
Was that the way that lead to Tsukishima’s father’s house and Tsurumi is going to the sea after having been there? Or it’s just coincidence the same background was used?
It’s hard to say but it still made possible the implication is Tsurumi also visited Tsukishima’s house... which would confirm the theory Igogusa was actually buried under the house. though of course it can be it was just Noda using the same background over and over... or this is the background of a place near to Tsukishima’s house, so that’s why we see it trice.
Now... before speculating further let’s look at the timeline.
The Sino Japanese war ended up on 17 April 1895 but likely the Army wasn’t immediately dismissed... in fact Tsukishima is imprisoned in 1896, meaning he likely murdered his father in 1896.
I couldn’t find when the 2nd division to which Tsukishima belonged was disbanded but we know the Russo Japanese war ended on 5 September 1905 and the 7th division was disbanded on January 1906 so basically between the end of the war and the disbanding of a division around 4/5 months went by.
I’m not sure when Sugimoto’s 1st division was disbanded but he managed to come back home in spring so it took him 7 months or more before he could come back.
This means that if Igogusa’s letter stopped around the end of the war because she was told Tsukishima was dead, this happened in March/April 1895. In fact although we say the war ended on 17 April 1895 this is just the date in which the threaty was signed. The very last battle took place on 23–26 March 1895 (with the occupation of the Pescadores Islands) but the last MAJOR battle took place on 4 March 1895 (Battle of Yingkou).
In short for Tsukishima the war might have been turning to a end in March.
Regardless, Igogusa disappeared 10 days before Tsukishima were to be back, not when her letters stopped coming.
This means if the rumors of Tsukishima’s death were spread in March/April and caused the letters to stop coming, Igogusa still remained in Sado, alive and kicking for 7 months or more since she disappeared only 10 days before Tsukishima came back.
The first thing that comes to my mind is, if the whole thing was organized by her family, it was risky to wait so long. Unless they had someone who would warn them about Tsukishima’s return they risked for Tsukishima to be there before they had left, putting an end to their plan.
Also noteworthy is how Tsukishima’s father was clearly a terrible person. We can say this not just due to the rumours about him that called him a murderer but due to the fact he abused Tsukishima.
I’ve hard time seeing Igogusa’s parents considering to make a deal with a person rumoured to be a murderer and, even if we assume they did, this would have let him free to blackmail them forever, which was clearly a risk but also would have provided him with an increase in money people in the village could have noticed.
Also, when Tsukishima attacked him, he would have probably told him the truth, if only to save his own life. It’s true Tsukishima says he ‘exploded’ but I think he would have regained enough of himself if the man had managed to tell him Igogusa was alive.
Long story short, I’ve hard time thinking Igogusa’s parents made a deal with him so that he would tell around how Tsukishima was dead.
In addition to this, all this means Tsukishima wasn’t writing back or the mummery wouldn’t work because the postman and the people working in the post office would know letters from Tsukishima kept on arriving from the frontline.
But again, why Tsukishima’s father said everyone his son died?
It’s hard to say.
Did he had something to gain from it? He should have known his lie would have been discovered as soon as Tsukishima would be back.
Did he receive a mail saying Tsukishima died addressed to him by mistake?
Did he receive a mail saying Tsukishima died addressed to him on purpose?
I like to think the truth is the last one. When Tsurumi freed Tsukishima he made clear he needed him as a helper for his mission in Russia. However if Tsukishima were to get married with Igogusa he might not be willing to leave for Russia with Tsurumi.
Tsurumi might not have meant for the girl to die, he might have just hoped Tsukishima, angry because she didn’t write any longer, would just dump her, or for her to stop waiting for him and marry another. Maybe a person from Mitsubishi really went to Sado and was friend with Tsurumi (or indebted to him) so he tried to get the girl to marry him merely to do Tsurumi a favour.
Tsurumi might not have expected things to end in such way, with the girl dying and Tsukishima murdering his father and ending up accused of parricide, which forced him to rush there and search for a way to save Tsukishima.
To figure out which was Igogusa’s fate though... it’s rather hard.
Why Tsukishima’s father would have killed her? And if he buried her under his house, does this mean she went to him?
Or did she just killed herself and Tsurumi had the soldier lie confident no one from Sado would show up?
Hard to say.
We’re clearly missing information so due to this I could be completely off track but, I think, the whole thing is likely going to come up again as we weren’t told Igogusa’s true name nor we were shown her face. So the best we can do is to wait for more info to be revealed.
Sorry, I wish I could give you a better theory but things are really too vague as of now. Thank you for your ask!

hi there i had a question i wanted to ask about Kiroranke...a thing that has been bothering me about him recently is if he is a russian tatarin how did he enlist in japanese army, and was a part of 7th? did he fake citizenship and somehow went to academy? (we didnt have citizenship in russia before 1917 tho) did he lie or maybe he offered intel to someone to enlist? or did tsurumi recognize him and brought him in his division? this can also connect to ogata knowing about him prior?
I’m sorry, I don’t have a canon answer for this but if you ask me...
...first of all I don’t think Kiro went to the Army Academy. That one was for officers only, like Koito, Tsurumi, Yuusaku and Wada, in short people who had the money to pay for it and who aimed to be a career soldier.
Whoever was in rank below the second lieutenant never went to it (if you attended to the Army Academy you were given the rank of second lieutenant at the end of it) which is why although Tsukishima is more experienced he’s ranked below Koito. Tsukishima never went to the academy so he had to start as a simple private and rise in ranks till he reached sergeant while Koito, having attended to the academy, starts as a second lieutenant, therefore above Tsukishima.
Kiro, who drops out of the army just after the war, was, very likely, either a volunteer or a conscripted soldier.
Actually from the way Makkanakkuru talks, I think the Ainu who joined the 7th division were only volunteers... but this might be just me...
...though history tells us that only sixty-four Ainu served in the Russo-Japanese War so, due to this small number, I tend to think they weren’t conscripted but they just volunteered.
According to Kiro he wasn’t under Tsurumi but under another first lieuntenant
and, from Asirpa’s words, we can speculate Kiro’s permanence in the Army only laster as long as the war lasted, so again this seems to imply he volunteered only when the war happened.
Kiro and Wilk clearly got into Japan by illegal means but I think, since they mixed with the Hokkaido Ainu, they didn’t have to work too hard to ‘prove’ they were Japanese as it’s possible the Wajin didn’t have perfect registers regarding the Ainu in Hokkaido who however were granted automatic Japanese citizenship in 1899, an act done to effectively deny them the status of an indigenous group, but that should have allowed Kiro to receive citizenship as he should have reached Hokkaido in 1891.
Also, if Kiro got married prior to taking part to the war he might have been inscribed on HIS WIFE’s family register, which would make even easier for him to look Japanese.
Long story short I don’t think Kiro had to make some special effort to be allowed to join the Army during the war. Likely all he had needed to do was to show up and ask for permission to volunteer and, very likely, the officer who collected his requet to volunteer didn’t realize at all he was a Russian Tartar but merely saw him as an Hokkaido Ainu, though, of course this is just my opinion and I might be completely wrong. Still, I hope it will be of some use to you.
Thank you for your ask!

hey there! i wanted to say that i really love your manga analysis its so interesting and insightful! i had a question too if its okay! i am not really well versed in japanese history so im a bit confused when it comes to like Ogatas mother being a geisha and how characters talk about it “the child of a wildcat is a wildcat”. Arent geishas supposed to be like entertainers like dancers and music and not like anything sexual? or is it about him being born to a mistress?
Thank you so much!
Now... I’m no expert either so I hope I won’t make messes with ansering your ask but yes, geisha were supposed to entertain through performing the ancient traditions of art, dance and singing and weren’t required to sleep with customers... but actually it seems the thing is not so clear cut.
If we look at the history of geisha we learn that Japan embraced sexual delights and, for sexual enjoyment and romantic attachment, men did not go to their wives, but to courtesans which caused walled-in pleasure quarters known as yūkaku (遊廓、遊郭) to be built in the 16th century. Later, in 1617 the shogunate designated "pleasure quarters", outside of which prostitution would be illegal, and within which yūjo ("play women") would be classified and licensed.
These pleasure quarters quickly became glamorous entertainment centers, offering more than sex.
The first woman known to have called herself geisha was a Fukagawa prostitute, in about 1750. She was a skilled singer and shamisen player named Kikuya who was an immediate success, making female geisha extremely popular in 1750s Fukagawa. As they became more widespread throughout the 1760s and 1770s, many of them began working only as entertainers (rather than prostitutes).
The geisha, who still worked within the pleasure quarters, were essentially imprisoned and strictly forbidden to sell sex. While licensed courtesans existed to meet men's sexual needs, geisha carved out a separate niche as artists and erudite female companions.
However, with time, there ended up to be many different classifications and ranks of geisha. Some women would have sex with their male customers, whereas others would entertain strictly with their art forms.
So, although technically sleeping with customers isn’t part of a geisha’s job and she shouldn’t do it, there were geisha who did it.
It seems the name Yamaneko comes from geisha working in the area of Shimogawara in Kyoto (where Kyoto mountainside temples were), which was where the Hanamachi pleasure district was built and that, only much later, became a derogatory slang to point at whose geisha who would easily sleep with their customers.
While for simplicity sake we take the word Yamaneko to imply those women were whore, from the way Koito put it, it seems to imply they were deceiving their customers, possibly giving them the illusion they were geisha when they actually were whores disguised as geisha.
Since Ogata’s mother was a geisha who, very obviously, slept with Hanazawa, her customer, in order to give birth to Ogata, the 7th is basically accusing her of having done it not because she loved the man (although we know she loved him so much she grew insane when he abandoned her) but because she was a whore.
In short she scammed him by pretending to be a geisha when she actually was not. That’s why they force the nick on Ogata as well.
They aren’t accusing him to be a whore, it’s more as if they’re saying “the son of a scammer is a scammer (the son of a Yamaneko is a Yamaneko), you can’t trust him, he’ll deceive and trick you”.
Since Ogata has betrayed the 7th and has killed Wilk and attempted to murder Sugimoto (which is viewed as him betraying the group he was in again), that’s why Koito can say Ogata lived up to it.
Personally I believe Ogata’s mom wasn’t a geisha who slept around, just one who was unlucky enough to fall in love for the wrong man and slept with him. I might be wrong, of course, but I think the costant taunting and lack of faith is what pushed Ogata to disconnect from people.
If they would baselessly accuse him of being a scammer even when he had done nothing wrong, he felt he could as well be one. He didn’t own them his loyalty as they wouldn’t trust him anyway so he could backstab them without a problem.
Of course this is just my interpretation. I’m not that well knowledgeable of Japanese history and how this slang came to be so I might be wrong.
Still I hope it helped! Thank you for your ask and for enjoying my manga analysis!

heyyy!! do u have any golden kamuy blog recs? ily <3
Hum…
…it’s a long story but, due to assorted reasons I stopped checking the dashboard short after becoming a fan of “Golden Kamuy”, which translated also in me stopping to follow people and solely focusing on following the “Golden Kamuy” tag.
Long story short I can’t really recommend blogs… through I can recommend people who made posts that I judged interesting and that appeared in the tag (mind you, what’s interesting for me might not be interesting for you). You might try if their blogs, as a whole, suit your tastes. I surely recommend their GK posts.
So, let’s start.
INFORMATIVE POSTS
@osomanga is the RULER of this, as they made some extremely informative, well studied and accurate Golden Kamuy historical posts, showing an impressive ability in finding info (as a fellow info hunter I must definitely bow my head to them). Really, reading their posts gives people a lot more insight in the GK world.
TRANSLATION POSTS
@piduai took care to translate some of the best part of the fanbook (also they did some lovely colouring of some scenes of the manga, the Usami one being the absolute best as it gave me chills).
COLOURING MANGA POSTS
Well, I’ve already mentioned @piduai so of course I’ve to mention @scyllua. Sadly it’s a while I don’t see their recolours but they were beautiful. They also used to make Meta posts, though not always in English.
META POSTS
(WARNING: I love reading people’s meta so for me it is fine if I agree with them or not, they still offer me a chance to see things from a different perspective. Still, if you prefer to read meta that sit well with your opinions on the story I recommend reading first and deciding if to follow them after)
Of course MY VERY FIRST REC has to be @chibivesicle’s posts, as they’re my partner in crime in filling the tag with Metas, and WOW, their meta are always so interesting and well through and focused on so many different topics it’s always a pleasure to read them.
Then… in no particular order…
@sentrakk's character analysis are well thought and amazing and I definitely recommend them.
@sandflow made some impressive meta regarding Sugimoto and Ogata’s rivalmance. I know many are fans of this pairing, but I didn’t saw anyone else try to research into their dynamic like they did.
@linkspooky also made some high quality meta, I particularly enjoyed the one comparing Koito and Ogata.
@midnight-in-town made some really interesting theories through the time I joined the fandom and I’m still really curious to see if their Umeko one will prove to be true!
@eidolonlathi’s meta used to be devoted to studying the 7th division and the relationships between their various members.
@komori-tigerforest made few posts but they were extremely awesome analysis of GK, which I recommend everyone reading.
@fg083 made a very good analysis on Ogata and Tsukishima’s knowledge of Russian language (they also make some very cute GK art!)
@prancing-uboot made a really fascinating post about the Satsuma dads. A must read as it’s well thought and well historically researched.
OGATA
@everythingogatahyakunosuke is an awesome blog devoted in posting images of Ogata, be they fanarts or screencaps and which I wholeheartedly recommend to Ogata fans.
Special mention for Kamuy Central, which sadly doesn’t have a Tumblr but well, it’s the Polaris star of the fandom and everyone should follow their lead. Always informed on what’s new, always willing to share information and translations, they’re awesome, really.
I’m pretty sure I’m also missing a lot of awesome GK fans who made incredible posts but this is all I could remember right now. Many many apologies to whoever I forgot, and also to you as I wasn’t capable to compile a complete list.
Also, I hope it’s okay for the people I mentioned to be recommended. If not, just let me know and I’ll remove you.
